This was a little confusing for me. A lot of reviews say to read the prequel first (even though it’s listed as book 4) because it gives you some back story for the MFC Jules. It does that, but it feels like we should already know who all these characters are. And I guess if you read the other books first, then the prequel, you would 😂
That aside, the story is interesting and I’ll be moving on to the first book because I want to know more. You have Jules who is a new Reaper, after giving the ultimate sacrifice for someone she loved. She works in a hospital as a healer? Again, I’m sure more is explained in the series. I think the 4 love interests are already mapped out, her Boss and coworkers.
I dunno, lol it’s confusing. Maybe I wasn’t paying proper attention. It’s only 59 pages, so that’s on me 🤪

Short prequel to a new series. I’m not sure about this one. I know Jules has been hit hard with her sacrifice but the whole thing was pretty much a downward spiral. Curious about the guys and if they manage to pin her down, but likely one I wouldn’t read unless I was in the mood

really short prequel
fmc is a reeper that gave her life for her childs.
If she takes too much life off someone not meant to die she gets to much energy and needs to fu#k it out. So there is a steamy scene that i enjoyed.
This series will be a RH im guessing but we arnt there yet.
Lynn does a great job on the audio, i enjoy her voice on both the male and female characters in this book. Looking forward to the first full length book, ill continue this.

This was SO GOOD, from start to finish and while it may be a prequel, clearly no shortcuts were taken here. It’s packed with brilliant character development, excitement, action, real feels and I’m not just talking romance, conflict, drama, wit …
I couldn’t get enough and my only complaint is that it ended & I’m too broke to binge-read the rest of the series right now. This was an excellent read, very well executed and left me wanting more. The more I read of this author, the more of her work I want to read. Well played.

The cover that's up on GR though, at the time of my review is pretty bad. Don't let that steer you away. Current cover is gorgeous.
I couldn’t get enough and my only complaint is that it ended & I’m too broke to binge-read the rest of the series right now. This was an excellent read, very well executed and left me wanting more. The more I read of this author, the more of her work I want to read. Well played.

This prequel novella is sad. It’s written to be that way, so it’s still an enjoyable read. You really get a feel for some of these characters. I’m actually really excited to see what happens next.

All grumbling aside, this was a spectacular introduction to the series.
We have Jules - Reaper who uses her power for good after making the ultimate sacrifice for her son.
We have Drake - her supernatural boss, the one who made her into a reaper and is meeting out tough love to have her move on.
We have Ajax, apparently a God, her hospital boss and the one she first sleeps with.
We have Brad, a doctor where she works and something more (haven't figured out if he is the vampire or the werewolf).
We have Connor, a nurse where she works (also haven't figured out if he is the vampire or the werewolf).
I want the next book so bad. It ended on an interesting note, captivated my interest from chapter one and I want to see her find herself, start loving herself and figure out how to love the guys as well.
Loved it! Looking forward to the next book.

This was a really interesting story and it definitely had an emotional impact. It was intriguing from the start with a female grim reaper who was not your average reaper. I enjoyed what the author did with this character and I look forward to seeing her grow as the series continues. I look forward to learning more about the guys, as well. They each have their own unique personality and carry secrets that I cannot wait to learn.
Jules is a grim reaper who struggles with her new life every minute of every day. If she had to make the choice she did again, she would definitely choose the same since it saved a precious life that means everything to her but surviving in the new world she has chosen is more than hard. The reluctant acceptance is there but she still cannot let go of her past...the life she should have had…so she cannot move on. She’s also under the very watchful eye of her boss who is tired of watching her struggle with her choice along with breaking some rules and gives her an ultimatum. And if her new life is not complicated enough, her new job at the hospital along with the three hot guys she tries to stay clear of are. She’s drawn to all three of them but with her past and decisions weighing her down, she does not want to get close to anyone. Yet Brad, Connor, and Ajax have other ideas and ultimately the choice might be taken out of her hands.
There are some heavy moments, plenty of laughs, witty banter, drama, action, lots of steam, endearing characters, and a great storyline.

A long time ago I read a short story about how differently the powers of Death manifested in an entitled young man and a woman who had lost everyone she cared about to him. This book, and particularly Jules’ reaction to her powers as a reaper, brought that story to the front of my memory. How she uses her abilities so differently from other reapers. How the responsibility does not lay lightly on her shoulders. All of these things make Jules unique and fascinating, and I can’t wait to read more about her. [Death and the Ugly Woman by Bruce D. Brilliant read. This is A prequel for the reaper series. and it really is worth reading before starting the reaper series.
Jules would die for the ones she loves, She would trade her life for their happiness. And she has but now she needs to start her life, so she starts her new job at a hospital with a newfound passion for healing. But life does not go the way she expects, but she is stubborn and is trying hard to make life what she wants.

Awesome read great start to a new series
This was a fascinating read. The unique storyline had me hooked from beginning to end. This prequel gives you a tease of everything angst, intrigue, mystery, and of course steamy encounter. It's definitely has a emotional impact to you can't help but feel empathy for Jules pain. Overall a great read. Can't wait to see what in store for this series.

Decided to read this before the others - it's already got me hooked!
It was dumb luck that Kindle recommended this book to me. I read the first chapter of the first book before I decided to read this prequel first, and I'm glad I did!
This short little 'book' already has given a few of the characters such life and depth, that I cannot WAIT to bury myself into the series. I've barely started, and I'm already sad that I'll probably be finished them in the next day or two!

Absolutely amazing!!!!!
This was absolutely amazing. I knew going in it was a prequel and I would have to wait for the next book but omg I need the next one now. My heart broke for Jules I actually cried twice reading this and it was short. I am excited to learn more about the guys. I can tell already I'm going to love this series.

Fab intro to a new series
Just read this in preparation for the series starting proper next month, and I'm really looking forward to it!
We have a tough, conflicted heroine and 3 hot guys, none of whom quite know what the others are, which in Lacey Carter Andersen's hands is a recipe for a fantastic story!

This was an interesting start to the series, I like that we got some background knowledge of the world and the different things within it. There’s a little introduction to some of the characters, and we got to know the FMC and a bit of her history. Not sure where this series is going to go but looking forward to the first book.

This is a really good novella. It's an introduction to the Reaper Hospital series. Jules is a reaper. She became one to save someone close to her.
She now works in a hospital that is run by the reaper that recruited her. She may also be attracted to a few of her coworkers, which is so not a good idea.

May 28, 2022This is the prequel to Their Reaper series, a paranormal reverse harem. This is an excellent introduction to the series! The characters are well developed, and the plot is well crafted, original, and intriguing. Lynn Devereux did an excellent job with the narration. Looking forward for more in the series!

The Reapers are a very interesting supernatural entity in this story - different from "grim reapers" I've read about before. Jules is beautifully damaged, with a tragic backstory, and it looks like the men she'll be with have supernatural secrets of their own. I'm definitely going to continue this series! Five stars for story and spice.

Excellent start to a new paranormal rh series
This was a quick sexy read with a great plot twist. Original and definitely makes me want more. Dealers are so cool and this one is no exception. Her trauma just makes her more interesting as a character. Great world building too.
