I live in the beautiful west country with my big, silly dog and my big sensible husband.

I spent the first half of my working life cooking and the second half editing other people's manuscripts.

At last I have time to write down the stories that have been disturbing my sleep for as long as I can remember.

Writing my first title took two years, because the characters kept doing unexpected things. I've since learned that they are always going to break out of the mould. So I just sit back and enjoy the ride.

The written word becomes reality

This is an entertaining short read. A collection of closely knit stories from one of my favorite storytellers. Magic and wit battle the forces of darkness in the temple of the written word

A wonderful strong librarian finds herself embroiled in adventure and heroics in this creative and engaging short story full of magic and intrigue. A free audiobook is available on youtube expertly narrated by Chris Herron, creator of tall tale tv podcast.

Listened as an audiobook and maybe this saved the story because the reader was pretty talented.
The fantasy setting wasn’t that bad, especially from such a short story from which I can’t expect too much of a complex world building.
But gods, if I knew about all the out of context sexual innuendos before, I would have skipped the story altogether.
If it wasn’t for that it would have been a cute story,
but alas it was overall TRASHY because of that :/

It's a short story that hits HARD! From the beginning to end, it was never boring! Loved the flow and how the author used words to describe things that most don't typically use. Would read again for sure!

Quick read but great for late night bubble baths lol it just gets you right into the story. I actually kind of feel like there could be something to this librarian; I like her.

This book is cursed.
Books groping the librarian as they pass her by...
"Am I to assume you are unwilling to shove yourselves like sensible books?"
"She smiled thinly. Somebody masturbate on you today?"

(I have read this book through audio)

First of all, I greatly greatly enjoyed reading this book. The characters are very well fleshed out the scenes are very descriptive. I much enjoyed the scene in which magic was involved because I find that scene to be amazing and familiar.

There are some parts in which I am confused but overall what a great read.

'In the end, nothing was left but a voice. A voice that whispered "Farewell". '

Cute Fantasy :)
