Biografie van de schrijfster van Gejaagd door de wind. Het lijkt erop dat ze het succes van haar boek eigenlijk niet heeft kunnen dragen. En wat een tragisch einde aan haar leven. Vond de schrijfstijl niet bijzonder prettig. Weet niet of dat lag aan de vertaling, of dat het toch aan de biograaf zelf lag.

I read this book many years ago - it was published in 1965. 'Gone With The Wind' was one of my favorite movies and I wanted to know more about Ms. Mitchell. I've kept it all these years and want to read it again before it goes to a new home.

An excellent biography of Margaret Mitchell. I really appreciated the quotes from Margaret's correspondence and her brother's insight.

A very balanced, realistic book that doesn't seem to have an "agenda" to be pushed through the biography.
