About the author

Pedro Urvi is a bestselling fantasy author who some years ago began to write as an experiment. Without any deliberate intention on his part, the experiment in writing turned into a novel which went on growing until eventually it evolved into a saga. He is also a technologist with many years of experience working in the world of computer systems and cyber security. He has lived in the US, UK and Spain and worked all over Europe.
He is the author of three epic fantasy sagas: The Secret of the Golden Gods, The Ilenian Enigma, Path of the Ranger. It is currently working on a fourth one: Path of Dragons.

Cada libro es como volver a casa después de un largo tiempo. Reconfortante, agradable, bonito.
Estoy absolutamente enamorada de esta saga y el autor es uno de mis mayores referentes. No sé cómo convenceros ya de leerla… pueden parecer infantiles, pero os aseguro que lo que hay detras de cada escena, conversación, hecho… es adulto. En este seguimos una guerra civil, entre hermanos, amigos, amantes, vecinos… es duro, y más cuando no puedes elegir bando… en fin. Leedlos.🙏🏼

Primera reseña del año y me da un poco de pena que sea está porque el 2020 lo empecé con la reseña de orgullo y prejuicio y la verdad que preferiría estar leyendo a Lizzie.

A ver este libro me ha abierto los ojos por así decirlo porque los otros me los leí tan seguido y estaba tan enganchada que no me di cuenta de ciertas cosas de los personajes que en este libro se ha notado más o igual no se notaban más pero yo me he querido dar más cuenta no sé pero bueno si es que los de los personajes y ciertos detalles sobre la forma de escribir de ese señor que no me gustan y me da mucha rabia porque tengo mucho cariño nosotros libros y no entiendo por qué y eso es horrible, ahora me explico

🪁PRESONAJES:
en este libro he estado mucho más crítica con los personajes y les he estado buscando las cosas malas y son cosas que yo ya había notado pero que había ignorado un poco porque la historia en general de la trama me gustaba, que ahora hablamos de la trama.
Para empezar tengo un pequeño problema con el protagonista Lasgol, qué pasa? que este chaval no es un buen protagonista por qué, porque es como muy pasota se da cuenta de cosas muy evidentes en plan "oh si se quedan aquí seguro que no les pasa nada porque están a salvo de la montaña" y es en plan chaval no hay que tener 200 de IQ para darte cuenta de eso y es como que se deja llevar mucho por lo que le pone la vida por delante o sea su novia también Astrid, esto es un pequeño spoiler de que al final acaban saliendo pero eso creo que lo sabía ya todo el mundo, está todo el día mandándole y puede que parezca una relación bonita pero es que es de estas relaciones tóxicas que si por lo general el tóxico es el novio pues en este caso es la novia totalmente o sea ella es como que impone su voluntad y Lasgol es un cachorrito que la sigue y está enamorado perdido de ella.
El resto de personajes siguen igual y me parece que están mucho mejor construidos que el protagonista lo cual me da mucha rabia porque el protagonista tiene que ser el que más fondo tenga y la verdad es que Lasgol tiene tampoco fondo como personaje que es que si ahora mismo me matan a Lasgol pensaría "joder qué putada para la trama" pero es que no me daría pena que muriera.

🪁TRAMA (BATALLAS Y POLITICA EN GENERAL):
A ver si bien en los otros libros ya había batallas y tal este ha sido sin duda el que mejores batallas ha tenido y eso es lo que le ha salvado de no tener una o dos estrellas porque las batallas están muy bien narradas y sobre todo las estrategias de Egil son absolutamente impresionantes, un poquito macabras sí, pero bueno es la guerra chica es lo que hay.
Lo único que me ha dado mucha rabia es que si bien las batallas están muy bien narradas y son muy guays están en el último cuarto del libro o sea el resto del libro se siente de relleno en plan ir haciendo misiones, de repente te mencionan a un grupo de peña que luego resulta que está en la batalla o sea lo único que te aporta esas misiones que el protagonista va haciendo son 1. ver un poco más el tipo de escritura que tiene el autor que ahora hablamos de eso y 2. darte cuenta de que este chaval está más solo que la una y mucho que te pintaban antes los guardabosques como una hermandad súper unida te das cuenta que en realidad hacen misiones solos, viajan solos, y se pierde toda esa unión y compañerismo de los otros libros que se creaba pq estaban en el campamento.

🪁TRAMA (ROMANCE):
Este libro aunque al principio parecía que no iba a haber ningún romance al final ha habido un poquito pero algo que me ha dado mucha rabia es que eran encuentros muy fugaces, como de casualidad y la pareja que a mí más me gusta que aunque no estén juntos yo quiero que acaben juntos lo único que hacen es pelearse entre ellos en plan enemies to lovers y es que o sea la cosa no avanza la chica sigue con el chico erróneo y el otro está claramente enamorado de ella y la pava o no se da cuenta o no se quiere dar cuenta porque está dudando en plan "ay es que tengo que elegir entre los dos" no sé pero es que la cosa no avanza entonces, ¿hay romance? sí ¿se agradece? también, pero el que hay no es romance que te llene o sea son momentos en plan "ay mira unos besos" pero ya está osea no hacen más.

🪁ESTILO DEL AUTOR:
El estilo de este autor es muy recargado o sea no recargado en plan libro del siglo victoriano Inglaterra tipo orgullo y prejuicio que las palabras están muy rebuscadas y las frases son muy complejas si no que es un libro que podría ser en plan los juegos del hambre o divergente de gente joven que se hacen amigos que tienen algo en común por lo que luchar y tal y de repente lo adorna con palabras muy complicadas y frases en plan "mi alma se llena de gozo" que es como chico tienes 16 años qué haces diciendo "mi alma se llena de gozo y regocijo cuando veo tu hermoso rostro" osea qué narices?!?

🪁CONCLUSIÓN FINAL:
En resumen el libro está aceptable, los personajes no cambian mucho, no aparece nadie nuevo, las estrategias militares le dan muchos puntos a favor al libro pq son muy ingeniosas pero por lo que he quitado dos estrellas, es porque a pesar de que la batalla sea increíble y esté súper bien narrada, me parece innecesaria si el desenlace va a ser ese, osea tanta lucha para nada, me ha dolido eso y me parece que la saga podría haber tenido un final muy digno después de semejante batalla y este señor la está alargando demasiado.
A ver qué me encuentro en "La reina turquesa" (que sinceramente no tengo ninguna pista de quien puede ser).

Aplausos, después de 6 libros a Lasgol le salieron pelotas!!!

Ya en serio: está bien.

Pros: relación Ona-Camu-Lasgol muy tierno todo.
Contras: mmm Nilsa? Aunque al menos ya es útil.

Buena parte la del Norte y como siempre Viggo best boy.

Por último, Egil tiene más química con Lasgol que la pesada de Astrid. Listo lo dije.

More political intrigue. Assassinations. Death traps worthy of THG. War/battle strategy. All of them made this book so much better. Also that beginning part felt like a horror story and I loved it so I really hope that whole problem comes back up since they’re kind of ignoring it right now.

This one was also more gorey, a big part of that being thanks to those awesome death traps. I really do appreciate it though since it is a war and it’s actually realistic so you feel the weight of it more.

Egil is a freaking mastermind! I mean I already knew that but now it’s been proved. I am a little disappointed the Panthers didn’t see Egil’s hints in the letter when they were rather obvious especially after the first one happened but that’s on them.

I honestly do not understand how they can even think about siding with the east when they all know very well how terrible the king and his brother are. They’re not even the legitimate heirs either so it really shouldn’t be a question as to what side to pick.

- I’m honestly still rather neutral in my feelings towards Lasgol but if anything I find him slightly annoying at times because he’s a bit too righteous and oblivious for my liking.
- I adore Egil. The beginning of this book with their reunion was the cutest thing.
- Ingrid’s always going to be awesome even if it was toned down significantly in this book but I really do wish she had more page time.
- Gerd’s back! And I still adore him!
- My baby’s all grown up and assassinating enemy leaders. There actually was a disappointing lack of Viggo though.
- Nilsa… I still don’t particularly like her but I no longer dislike her so that’s something.
- Camu sadly had gotten annoying. It gets repetitive when the same arguments are repeated daily along with the same situations and that’s what happened with Camu in this book.

I love how easy and comfortable the characters are with each other, especially the m/f bonds. They’re so natural and untainted with romance or anything else even if they’re acting a bit flirty (kisses in the cheek, winks, etc.) it’s more sibling-like than anything. But also the m/m bonds as they’re still allowed to be emotional and affectionate on a normal level, or rather what should be considered normal.

Viggo and Ingrid. I will never stop ranting about their dynamic, I just adore their bickering and hate act to hide real feelings. There was like (two) scenes with them in the same place at the same time but it was amazing and I’m still waiting for them to be an actual ship.

All in all I’d say this was one of my favorites of the series and it opens up this new age in the Panthers lives well enough.

Este libro es el primero que enfrenta a Lasgol al mundo real, ya formado del todo como guardabosques especialista.

Me ha gustado mucho la trama del norte, de cómo se está formando la futura amenaza, pero cómo se resuelve de rápido la situación del Oeste me pareció precipitada y parecida a cómo se resolvió la pasada guerra.

¡Ya estoy terminando el siguiente y sigue igual de emocionante!

Mejorando con cada libro. Los animales del protagonista (Camu el dragonín (creciendo, así que pronto será un dragonón) y Ona la pantera de las nieves (también más grande cada vez) son particularmente entrañables. No sé cómo lo consigue, pero cada libro están más adorables. Dan unas ganas de darles un achuchón... Y me troncho con Camu. Me encantan.
Las pruebas ya se han terminado y ahora las misiones me parecieron de lo más intensas. La escena del oso me impresionó mucho y el rescate en el poblado helado, también. Pedazo de misiones.
El aumento de los poderes y habilidades tanto de Lasgol como de Camu, también estuvo muy, pero que muy interesante.
Y luego ya en la guerra, las batallas, llenas de trampas buenísimas, estuvieron espectaculares, así como el reencuentro con los amigos (que cada uno estaba en un sitio distinto en sus respectivas misiones y se reunieron con la guerra). Unas batallas que no me esperaba tan re-buenas a juzgar por otras de libros anteriores (que en general solían estar bien, pero no a estos niveles).
El final fue un poco anticlimático por razones que no voy a spoilear, pero tras tan espectaculares batallas, me esperaba una traca final apoteósica y no ese tremendo bajón, aunque reconozca que es un giro inesperado muy bueno, pero es como si me hubieran escamoteado los fuegos artifiales finales.
Este ha sido para mí, sin la menor duda, el mejor libro de la saga con mucho. Saga que está en subida constante desde hace unos cuantos libros. GL Bis (El sendero del guardabosques)

Interesting start to this book and I really enjoy Camu as he seems to always be looking for some sort of trouble and is perfectly matched to Lasgol.


I like that while they aren't main character anymore that we saw Egil again.  He always w as a a favourite and I think could easily have been the main character in a series.


I am excited to see this book unfold as there are so many issues that could happen as of course the gang has all been separated and Lasgol is finding himself going to the North again this time he doesn't have the protection of Darthor 


Some of the parts of this book had me going back to my childhood and nightmares that would happen.  This isn't too bad but it does push things a bit and makes me want to skip over some of the pages.


This book feels more political as you see nuances in the capital and I really enjoyed seeing just what was going on as well as what Lasgol was doing.


It was nice seeing Nilsa back as well as more than just a letter.  It is cool to see that those at school still were the best of friends.


Seeing Gerd as well was amazing and seeing how he has grown as a Ranger and what he has accomplished despite being one of the weaker candidates for the Rangers.  I found that it was unfair as he seems to be such a great ranger and can easily handle anything that comes his way.


The war has heated up quite a bit and the east is on the verge of defeating the west.  This puts the friends Ina difficult position and I keep hoping that the friends will remain as is and be able to protect each other.


This book was sad but was really well written as all of the other books.

Genial batalla.
La saga sigue a buen ritmo, este es un libro de reencuentros, de cambios en los personajes y en la que se prepara la batalla entre Este y Oeste, que no tiene desperdicio (y eso que no disfruto de batallas en las novelas, pero esta... Está llena de sorpresas).

El trayecto a la batalla, espectacular, las trampas de Egil le dan un dinamismo tremendo. Luego la batalla, interesantísima, y su final me deja sospechando de Astrid, que dice que no fue, pero es una guardabosques muy leal, ya veremos que sucede en la próxima entrega de la saga. Ya esperando a enero para el libro 8.

Possibly one of my favourites in the series so far. This felt like such a crescendo of all the things that have been building up until this point.

We get to see lots of action and all the characters' new skills put into practice. Not only that, but there was a lovely (and very organically structured) rotation back to some characters who haven't been directly in the plot for a book or two.

This was great fun, and the plot has certainly matured - launching this series into another league. I'm really enjoying the story and, as always, am very excited to see where the next book takes us and the characters.

Pues me ha gustado. Me gusta el hecho de cómo ha creado esos momentos de reunión con los demás panteras de las nieves, aunque creo que sigue teniendo problemas de narrativa que ya tenía antes. En cuanto a los personajes, adoro la relación Ona/Camu/Lasgol, pero comienza a quedarse estancada, al igual que nuestro querido protagonista. Muchos comentarios se empiezan a hacer repetitivos, demasiado repetitivos. Ya sabemos que Gerd, se pasa todo el día dando abrazos, la pelirroja es torpe, Ingrid y Viggo se quieren, pero aparentan que no y Lasgol, pues bueno, no avanza, intenta aparentar ser listo y poco más. Egil brillante como siempre. Viggo sigue siendo mi favorito.

Sigue ganando algo más de profundidad en cuanto a personajes, y me imagino que la trama volverá al ritmo del 5 y 6 libro para volver a construir una trama de cara al 8.


No me fío nada de Astrid, hasta el punto de que creo que es ella la que mata a Arnold. Seguimos sin saber nada de su historia y la relación entre los dos siempre se ha basado un poco en el “porque sí”, ya que muchos más motivos no han dado. Pero bueno, seguiremos viendo.

Creo que el final es un poquito precipitado, mucho libro creando la expectación y al final pasan demasiadas cosas como para mantener una tensión fuerte en el resultado del Oeste.

Una cosa que me gusta es cómo crea espacio para las siguientes tramas, aunque temo que si los personajes no mejoran con ella, cada vez el problema será mayor. Recordemos que ahora nuestros queridos amigos tienen entorno a 21-22 años y que ya no son unos adolescentes, aunque se siguen comportando como tal. Esto es algo importante ya que o hay evolución o me temo que todo se verá afectado. Por poner un ejemplo, uno de los mayores motivos de éxito de Harry Potter es que los personajes evolucionan cada año. Pasando de la niñez a la adolescencia y entrando ligeramente en la juventud. Se nota en su forma de amistad aunque no necesariamente en sus valores. Algo similar necesitan ellos, aunque me temo que, visto lo visto, nos vamos a quedar con las ganas.

Y ganas, precisamente, es lo que tengo de seguir leyendo esta saga.

Me ha encantado el libro,como siempre. De la mejores sagas que me he leído en mi vida y sigue sorprendiéndome. Estoy súper emocionada por el siguiente libro y todas las aventuras que va a traer con él.
Me ha encantado la aparición de todos los miembros de las panteras de las nieves, la verdad que he hechado mucho de menos a todos los personajes. El final no me lo esperaba para nada, tenía esperanzas que los del Oeste ganaran la guerra pero me ha sorprendido el gran giro al final.
Ya estoy esperando súper impaciente a el siguiente libro que la verdad que no se que va a poder ocurrir.
Lo único que me ha faltado es algún tipo de avance con Viggo e Ingrid :(( (que son mi pareja favorita literal).

...Hasta ahora es el último audiolibro en español...nos pasamos a lectura digital (aunque no descarto hacerme con los libros).
Me está encantando. No me extrañaría hacerme una buena maratón en periodo de vacaciones.
El mundo que crea el autor es cada vez más grande y los problemas políticos no se acaban. Los seres del exterior dan miedo y no se como se desarrollará todo, pero adoro a todos los personajes y quiero seguir sabiendo de ellos (sobre todo Ona y Camu, necesito un fanart de ellos).

Otro cierre parcial, que bien podría haber sido en algún libro anterior. Este es hasta ahora el mas predecible y con mayor relleno de loa libros hasta ahora. La historia de las batallas está muy bien, pero ya es hora de que el protagonista madure un poco y deje tener esos ticks infantiles que lleva arrastrando desde que empezó la saga.

Hay diferentes cosas que pasan en este libro, como siempre vemos que Lasgol y la panteras se enfrentan a nuevas misiones siendo ya todos unos guardabosques y especialistas graduados.
Es interesante a la vez que bonito ver la mente de Egil moverse, sabemos que es muy listo pero a la vez es muy sensato a la hora de tomar decisiones y eso lo reconoce todos los nobles del oeste que saben que el ayuda a su hermano estratégicamente con ideas desde el campamento y los duques lo reconocen como gran estratega que le ofrecen seguir con el como rey del oeste a lo que el rechaza no por no merecerlo sino que sabe que aún no está a la altura de hacerlo, el tiene que especializarse más y pensar mejor en su golpe que dará venganza a todos los Olaftones.
Lasgol va de un lugar a otro y a donde va siempre tiene problemas, desde que intentaron asesinarlo en el refugio ha sido precavido en la capital lo intentan asesinar y Nissa lo salva apuntando con su arco y por ello lo mandan a una frontera donde se encuentra con Gerd que junto con Ona y Camu ayudan a resguardar la frontera, para enfrentarse con los Sangriano cuando se la nada el líder de ellos muere de manera muy rara y en medio del campamento y no es ni más ni menos que Viggo en que se le fue encargada esa misión que la lleva con total éxito; luego son enviado al frente en el Oeste solo Gerd y Lasgol, estando ahí se encuentran con Ingrid que dice que ha estado en el frente y que le alegra que los haya encontrado, estando a punto de partir para enfrentarse a Arnol (el hermano de Egil y el rey del Oeste) aparece Nissa y juntos emprenden el camino al Oeste.
En el camino Egil les manda a Milton (la lechuza) advirtiendoles que se cuiden porque ha ideado planes para las fuerzas de Thoran y que no quiere que les pase nada malo pero que tiene que ayudar a su hermano.
En el río, la represa, el fuego, las fosas y por último el ataque desde fuera d ella fortaleza fueron magistrales de parte de Egil, pero no son suficientes, mandan a asesinos a acabar con los Olaftons y entre los que mandan esta Astrid y Viggo que le dice a Lasgol y ellos evitan que los maten pero no es suficiente, matan a Arnol y ahora el nuevo y único heredero es Egil.
Pero tiene que prever que no es una amenaza aunque se haya ganado el respeto de los duques

Easy Read but Series Starting to be Inconsistent

I've generally enjoyed the 'Ranger' theme in SF Fantasy. It's almost become a sub-genre of it's own. However, I'm not a big fan with the 'coming of age', but if well written and good subplots....I can enjoy.

Series started well and author developed some good subplots to keep the story interesting. And the subplots are still there and still interesting but... The characters, MC's haven't grown and acted to reflect maturity as they've gotten older, experienced.

I've been skimming a lot with the last couple of books. The author continues to write them as young, idealistic and immature in a grim, darker world...but then their not. Characters and plots are getting more inconsistent as author continues to target early teens but subplots continue to grow with mature themes. Sometimes the MC'S are naive late teens, then they're more worldly n mature and then they're just kids.

Assassin's, yes assassins and 2 of the MC'S are assassins. Don't really know what to say when you're continuing to write for young teens where many still need a 'birds n bees' talk from mom or dad. Don't forget the cute and cuddly Panther n Creature.

Frustrated, I guess, that author is committed to writing for early teen audience and focusing on 7-8-9-? century world culture, history and values. Norway is fun, been there a few times and froze getting frost bite in winter Ops. Don't care for the Viking redo. Vikings -- between TV, movies and casual readin, I don't know what to make of them nor their historical impact other than being a pain in the neck throughout Europe and England for a while. Over done and a lot of 'creativity' in the remake.

OK, I can live with some of it but end the series. Start another for mature to finish interesting subplots. If not for Kindle Unlimited, would have stopped a few books past...when you're skimming close to half the books, not even KU can save.

Pedro Urvi continues this series with a thrilling attack on the King of the West, Egil's older brother Arnold. East and West Norghana are locked in a civil war over the rightful leader of the country. The challenge for the young rangers, including the protagonist Lasgol, is to decide which side to fight for. They are supposed to be loyal to the King, but if the king is not the rightful king (not descended from the proper bloodline) then what do they do?

The King of the West is the seventh book in this series. I have definitely enjoyed the progress of each of the Snow Panthers, but the role of Lasgol is so fun to follow. We become easily frustrated by Camu's impertinent behavior and amazed at the connection he is making with Ona, his snow panther. Similarly, it is interesting to see how Lasgol is developing his 'skills' and why he has them when others don't. Urvi does a nice job, now that the characters have graduated and gone their separate ways as rangers, of inventing plausible ways for the friends to come together as part of the build-up to the war.

I definitely recommend this series and this book in the series to those who enjoy fantasy and young adult fiction. Lasgol, Egil, Viggo, Ingrid, Nilsa, Gerd, and Astrid are a group of young adults growing and learning and dealing with moral issues in ways that are interesting and honest. Definitely a compelling series.

I nostri personaggi sono tutti impiegati a svolgere le loro missioni, il re è cambiato Uthar è stato sbugiardato davanti a tutti ed ucciso, al suo posto è salito al trono Thoran un personaggio a dir poco iracondo ed impulsivo; proprio in preda ad uno di questi suoi attacchi di impulsività decide di inasprire la guerra civile in atto con l'ovest, e di partire per unificare tutto il regno.
Ma all'ovest essendo il re il frattello di Egil si fa aiutare per poter avere la speranza di vincita in questa battaglia, il tutto rende difficoltoso alle altre pantere delle nevi scegliere da che parte stare.
In questo volume gli eventi prendono un agire molto più scorrevole e veloce, si possono incontrare numerosi colpi di scena che a volte ricordano altri libri, ma sempre inseriti in maniera favolosa.
Chi vincerà?
Beh posso dire che per la battaglia finale a me è rimasto l'oro in bocca ma mi sarei aspettata la conclusione che è stata data, ma proprio quello mi ha messo ancora più voglia di leggere il volume a seguire.
Non rimarremo però comunque privi di tentativi di omicidio in questo volume, viene inoltre presentato un nuovo aspetto di Gerd, e un nuovo popolo che incontreremo poi spesso nei prossimi volumi.

Plausibility is Further Stretched, Surprise Ending

Lasgol foresees and warns each of the crew that the time will come when they have to make a decision on which side they support, the East or West. Then the entire crew somehow manages to "do their jobs" as rangers sworn to support the in place powers, while still continually supporting their friends who are allied with the West. It stretches plausibility for all of them to be getting away with this while part of an organization that is inherently focused on subterfuge and spying.

Camu and Lasgol's Snow Panther Ona are amusing. A good job representing a foreign mindset and world view from Camu, although often its attitudes and actions make it abundantly clear why his species is very rare (almost extinct)

The interpersonal relationship between Astrid and Lasgol has hit the wall, continuing to have only passionate kissing, despite lasting for years, past adulthood, and well into the point where both of them are killing other people on a regular basis. This is a huge disconnection in maturity of the characters. So violence OK, sex not OK?

The big battle descriptions seemed better formed than in previous books. A little better balance capturing the details and the overall tides.

It is great to see Viggo really come into his own and prove his supreme competence and abilities, beyond just stealth to also being able to plan out complex missions and lead them to success.

I was genuinely surprised in the waning pages when Egil's brother and leader of the west was taken out, despite the best efforts of the crew to save him.

Solid effort with a bit more action than the last two books. There are definitely some twists and turns. There are a few errors and loose threads that get lost in the shuffle, but don't seriously detract from the book. The scenes with Camu and Ona drag on a bit. Also, while Pedro is trying to portray the characters as more mature, I'd like to see him take the next step. We've seem to be in a rut and are 5 plus years in with these characters but they've seem to fallen into boxes: Nilssa giggles and falls, Vig doesn't care but does, Ingrid is always mad, Gerd is big and naïve with a trace of scaredness randomly appearing, and our friend Lasgoal is a reluctant hero - who me? Yes, you who has all this power and single handily kills two experienced assassins just in this book alone.

3.5 stars.
I took a break from this series for a while and coming back the first third of the book or so was a little slow and hard to get back into but it picked up in the second third. I loved that everyone from the original group got some time on page again, I'd missed their presence so much in the last books and their personalities and relationships really is the star of the series for me so most of those sections were 4 stars for me. The story offered s lot of interesting points and moments which were an interesting read and the end was interesting, it made a lot of sense but did feel a little rushed so while I enjoyed the book I couldn't round it up to a four even though I enjoyed this one more than the last few.

No hay mucho que pueda decir de esta saga que no haya dicho ya, es súper atrapante y eso que cada libro tiene más de 600 páginas pero el autor sabe cómo sumergirte en la historia hasta que te sientas parte de ella.

Seguimos las aventuras de un grupo de amigos que se apoyan a pesar de las dificultades que se les presente en la vida. Siento que cada día y con cada libro que pasa estoy más y más enganchada a estos libros.

Este es por mucho uno de los libros con más acción de TODA la saga y en la manera que se desarrollaron las cosas fue simplemente una de las mejores cosas, ese final me dejó como en un ✨safe place✨ y amé.

Ya estoy demasiado encariñada con los personajes y sus historias. Y no puedo parar de leer esta saga.

7 books in ans the best characters are the animals smh lasgol so far has been a let down could be fantastic yet does nothing. Both parents were fighting something horrible yet there son sits in a school for rangers and even after getting out ... 5 years later and the loss of both parents he hasn't chosen a side. Tbh he's the type character so far that drives me absolutely to the brink of madness wanting to strangle his ass yelling DO SOMETHING!!!! I can't tell u how upsetting this character can be he doesn't stand up for himself or really so far for anything worth a damn for a main character so far I hate him but having read the series before I know it gets better just always makes me mad that in 7 books this kid has done jack to really make a dif smh

The King of the West was a great continuation of the series, Path of the Ranger and I couldn’t be more intrigued at what happens next to Lasgol and his team, the Snow Panthers. Not long after Lasgol, Ingrid, and Viggo graduated from the shelter, a secret location where Specialist Rangers are picked and trained, the members of the Snow Panthers separated to complete their own missions. As Lasgol is completing his missions, he and the Snow Panthers receive messages from Lasgol’s best friend, Egil. They soon came to realize that there was going to be a massive civil war between Norghanians of the west and east. Lasgol is forced to choose whether to be loyal to the king and follow the Path of the Ranger or help his friend Egil and the West while the constant threat of a group of evil rangers are still lurking in the shadows, ready to attack. I honestly felt like this book was very well developed and I could tell that this book like the others in the series was really well written and truly, if I were you, I would check out the Path of the Rangers series asap. It’s a must read for anyone who enjoys books about magic and medieval times.
