Magical fairy tales makes boogie dance with romantic comedy about so much lovable couple who has delicious, sizzling, smoking hot chemistry. Poor MCs have a big obstacle prevent their HEA! : the miserable heroine who thinks she is cursed because at the past, anytime she tried to make sex with her tempting hero , nature found its creative ways for an intervention! ( leeches, flying roofs, wild animal invasion, sinking boats etc.)Did you like my presentation? If your answer is already “yes”, please continue to read it!
Petunia, Jonquil, Bluebonnet: three godmothers remind you of epic witches of Hocus Pocus: Bette Midler, SJP (like her shoe brand), Kathy Najimy. But they’re not lovely witches, they are just magical fairy godmothers who are about to lose their powers. Their magical wands stop working properly because their town suffers from lack of love. If they won’t bring the happiness back, they may lose their entire powers. The best way to attract love into their place is meddling their two fairy children who have unfinished business.
Yes, we’re talking about Un- Lucky Fujiki ( okay, our heroine’s name Lucky but unlike her name she unintentionally attracts bad luck: everyone around her under the threat of any kind of catastrophe, danger or natural disaster. Only thing she has to do is hugging the person and transferring her bad luck vibes to him or her) and charming chocolate king Ransom Payne ( he literally owns a firm produces amazing chocolate! )!
When they were young and naive, they ended their relationship because something unmentionable happened during their hmmm let’s say “intercourse” or “attempt of intercourse” and when the word gets out, Ransom turns into a laughing stock of their small town. So they both told each other unacceptable and harsh things which broke them apart and both of them were too stubborn to say sorry.
Now godmothers kindly request them to act like fake fiancées which will help their matchmaking business bloom and bring the town to the happiness which will slowly evaporates.
Both Lucky and Ransom cannot dare to say no to their godmothers. Ransom still owes a part of his business success to them (yes, unlike Lucky, he knows their magical powers) and Lucky wants to face her fears by meeting with her ex-love she never achieved to forget.
Of course it’s obvious their love and undeniable chemistry will rekindle but could they defeat the bad luck of Lucky which is following them like a dark, black cloud?
I enjoyed the story, vivid, entertaining characters. I wish fairy godmothers interfered by their meddling skills to their love story but I still loved them.
And of course Gwen- the loyal best friend of Lucky and her kids stole my heart. I’m looking forward to read her sequel.
Overall: I’m rounding up 3.5 to 4 magical, happily ever after, a box full of chocolate, romcom, enjoyable stars!

TL;DR-- read a modern fairy tale, watch a Hallmark Channel movie, stream a rom-com, or indulge in your guilty pleasure of choice, but save your time and pass on Fairy Godmothers, Inc.
I'm a sucker for anything fairy tale-related and have an inexplicable attraction to the fake relationship trope, so when this popped up on my dash, I hit request. I'm sleep-deprived and cold because fall weather decided to show up like Maleficent at the birth announcement after we were hit with a heatwave, so I wanted to curl up with something light and fun and easy on the brain. And since it's not quite Hallmark movie season yet, I settled for Fairy Godmothers, Inc. thinking it'd be a good substitute. It was a mistake.
Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is definitely not the kind of feel-good, cotton candy fluff that make made-for-TV Christmas movies such a ubiquitous guilty pleasure (and it's certainly not filled with the family-friendly you find on the Hallmark channel.) As much as Hallmark movies are mocked for their lack of depth and original content, Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is even worse. DeWylde goes on and on about how "there's more to a relationship than sex," but the first half of the book, where sex is essentially the plot, says otherwise. I finished this in a couple of hours, and while this is a quick read in general, the fact that I skipped chunks of paragraphs in the beginning definitely helped cut down on my reading time.
This reads like a really bad rom-com. (And yes, I know most rom-coms aren't necessarily characterized by amazing writing, but there are good-bad ones and bad-bad ones, and this is definitely the latter.) The attempts at humor feel disingenuous which is kinda weird thing to say, but the whole thing reads like DeWylde is trying too hard to be funny. The characters are flat, and there's no real romance because the book pretty much starts out with Lucky and Ransom wanting to jump each other's bones. There's an attempt to tell an actual story about halfway through the book, but the obstacles are completely ridiculous. And just when you think it can't get any more over-the-top, it does. (It starts with the fact that they can't truly be together, like in the Biblical sense, without horrible things happening and, I kid you not, it actually goes downhill from there.) I'd have an easier time suspending disbelief if you told me you were a fairy godmother who could fly than I would believing any of the reasons Lucky and Ransom gave for why they can't be together 🙄.
The best part of the book was Ever After, Missouri, but there's nothing particularly special or original about the setting. The attempt to throw in some Japanese folklore (to mix things up a little, I guess?) doesn't seem to mesh well with the quaint, fairy tale-inspired, small town vibes that were built for most of the book. This is apparently the first in a series and though there are attempts to drum up interest for subsequent books by introducing characters who will ostensibly end up in the sequels, I have no interest in reading more about the budding romance between Lucky's soon-to-be divorced BFF and Ransom's right-hand man, the complicated relationship between Rosebud Briar and the reformed Evil Queen, Ravenna Blackheart, whatever's going on with Prince Phillip Charming the frog, or the inevitable romance the godmothers have planned for Zuri Davis, the heartbroken new hire at Fairy Godmothers, Inc. The fact that the top reviews are in the 4-5 star range are proof there may be hope for HEA yet, but...

The author created an amusing, and highly interesting world, then filled it with sassy and addictive characters.
"Serious is good, but levity is better."
The only thing I didn't enjoy in this story was that whole "The boy who missed" thing.
That seemed like a ridiculous and weird addition to the story and far too much focus was wasted on it.
I'm excited the author is turning the godmothers and Ever After into a series!
I look forward to the next book.

This was a cute romantic comedy set in a fairy tale town called Ever After (surprisingly located in Missouri, who knew?). I love when the mundane world crosses paths with fairy tales and magic so that was a cute spin for this book. The plot was pretty predictable but it was a sweet escape into a magical world. The main characters were engaging and I was totally rooting for Lucky. I liked that the story was about more than romance. Both Lucky and Ransom have some work to do on themselves on their adventure to try to find their own happily ever after. I cheered extra hard for lucky as I really felt her pain at feeling “cursed” bad luck seems to follow Lucky around and attack those around her. This has kept Lucky from many things including a relationship with her college sweetheart Ransom. This book was full of magic, fairy tale favorites, and humor.

This is an entertaining, well written romance novel. It has likable characters, magic, humor, fairy tale characters, a heartwarming romance, and of course, a happily ever after ending.

I believed I had been the only person, since my youth, to refer to trees as "naked" but, in the perfect home, in the perfect yard, of Ever After, Missouri, with spring in bloom, the fairy godmother sisters have only the unluckiness of a tree without cherries (thus, the naked trees). And, the characters in Saranna DeWylde's Fairy Godmothers Inc. are some of the best created, this year, that I had yet to read (and we are wrapping it up, the year). And not just because they have wings, wands and the use of magic though, I must add, it does help bring a good storyline to the trio of sisters, read about here.
Petunia (Petty), Bluebonnet and Jonquil have a problem as it is spring and nothing is in bloom in Ever After. When Petty brings a single bloom alive the sisters discover that the lack of love in the world, and in Ever After, is the problem and the solution. The sisters decide to use two of their charges, whom they are fairy godmothers for, Lucky and Ransom, to help with the solution of how to bring love to this destination and getting the pair to their happily ever after.
Lucky is a lot like me, something I always said being “it's not that I have no luck, I just have bad luck”. She and I share that same twist of cards in life. I too hated my name as she does. Unlike me however, she has her fairy godmother's at work in her life, the three sisters, and when they call their dear goddaughter and ask her to get “fake married” in Ever After, to draw in tourists (and love) to solve the godmother's problem, Lucky reluctantly agrees. How can she not help her godmothers?
The man they pick for the “fake marriage” is none other than a man Lucky has a past with, Ransom Payne, the owner of Heart’s Desire Chocolates, the biggest chocolate maker, the most ethical business man they know and one who, with Lucky, can bring the fairy tale marriage image to Ever After. He happens to be a godson to the sisters’ too. The only problem that remains is that the two are resistant to face one another, having had a past together, each, now, with their own hesitation but, they still have lingering feelings for one another. If the pair only knew that together they could create the best Happily Ever After (for one another) for Ever After (by bringing love and thus, spring to the town) with their fake marriage on Valentine’s Day….after all, fairy godmothers always have a good reason for wanting something!
Reluctantly they both agree to participate in the charade, if not for their fairy godmothers then for the curiosity they each have about the other and what could happen as they meet in Ever After for the “fake wedding” of their dreams! Readers will get more than they bargained for in this debacle of a tale about two young lovers who know they are right together but can’t get over the past and need that extra push (thus, the fake wedding).
If not just for the fairy godmothers and the fun part they play in the book this is a must read, but wielding their magic for the lovers, the magic in the pair, the love they have for one another, is what really the whole book boils down to and makes it a wonderful love story. Travel to Ever After with the couple and find out if this fake marriage will be one that binds them in real love, in the end? You need to pick up a copy of Saranna DeWylde’s Fairy Godmothers Inc. to find out!

This book was lighthearted fun in a fairy tale setting. Three sweet fairy godmothers, who live in Ever After, Missouri, want to increase their magic (which is only done with love) by bringing people to Ever After for their weddings. To promote the town as a wedding venue, they talk two of their godchildren, Lucky and Ransom, into staging a fake wedding for publicity. The two were a couple in college, but things went bad between them and they haven't been together since.
Lucky and Ransom were good characters for this rom-com of a story. Together they were a great couple, but there were some major issues happening that couldn't be explained. Magic was everywhere, and there was a lot of humor. All in all a fun book.

I miss Sarah Addison Allen’s whimsical novels so much that I risked reading Fairy Godmothers, Inc. - looking for a “fix” of fantasy, freshness and hopefulness. The writing didn’t come close to that other esteemed author; I’m almost amazed that I read the whole book but I kept waiting for SOMETHING to sparkle.
Some good ideas which were lost in convoluted romance, less than fully realized supporting (actually interesting) magical characters and not enough bippity-boppity- boo.
Not visiting the town of Ever After for the sequel.

I really wanted to love this one - or at least like it more than I did - but after debating how to start this review, I realized it just didn't work for me.
I loved the concept of the godmothers - three sister witches who love to meddle, I loved the idea of Ever After being a hidden gem of a small town, brimming with magic , where fairy tales are living breathing things. What's not to like about that, right?
Sadly the MCs sunk this one and I quickly found myself losing enthusiasm over reading to the end.
The story is the cliched chick lit trope that reminded me a lot of the cheesy plots in hallmark or lifetime movies. Lucky - who is notorious for being Unlucky - agrees to help her godmothers by posing as a fake bride to be, who is planning the wedding of the century to billionaire chocolatier and American sweetheart, Ransom Payne.
I admit I was interested in finding out what the "incident" everyone was always referring too, actually was and then it's revealed and I'm wondering why Lucky is the one so bent out of shape when 1) She has no one to blame but herself, since she's the one that blabbed to everyone about it and 2) apparently her bad "luck" has always been around and they tried several times to do the deed only for her bad luck to ruin the moment - so why did she freak out the last time, especially since she was the one that kept pushing for that step? I didn't understand why she was so vindictive and resentful of Ransom when she was aware of the consequences all along. In the heat of the moment, I get it but it's been years and she's still holding a one sided grudge (for no decent reason!)
Ransom was winning me over when he confessed to still having feelings for Lucky (even though she humiliated him beyond reason) and was willing to give up the physical part of their relationship to be with the person he still loved.
Then the MCs do a role reversal where Lucky is suddenly learning from her mistakes and willing to risk her heart again for a second chance with Ransom, only for Ransom to wig out on her when she really needs him. It was so out of character for him that it just felt wrong all the way around.
So yeah, I started off liking Ransom and annoyed with Lucky and ended up confused by Ransom and still frustrated with Lucky.
Sad because I really liked Lucky's BFF, Gwen. Her love interest, Roderick -with the missing fairy godmother- sounds like it might be more up my alley.

She'd started the awful nickname by screaming he was a loser Harry Potter who didn't know what to do with his wand. He was The Boy Who Missed. For better or worse, it had stuck.

I thought this was pretty cheesy, which was expected. I didn't care for the main characters and thought the love interests lacked chemistry. Maybe there just wasn't enough back story? I did think the fairy godmothers were cute, but very stereotypical. Nothing surprised me or made me feel anything. It was just ok.

Need a story with Happily Ever After in a town named Ever After with a trio of meddling fairy godmothers?

Petunia, Jonquil and Bluebonnet are the fairy godmothers to our very (Un)Lucky Fujiki (Well, she is...) and Chocolate King (quite literally, as his company, Heart's Desire Chocolate is the biggest chocolate maker in the world!) Ransom Payne.
When their town, Ever After, Missouri is running out of magic due to absence of 'love', the trio sweetly asks them to get married... for fake, so that matchmaking business - Fairy Godmothers, Inc. blooms and will bring back the magic they needed.
What could go wrong, right?
Well, now that you have said and jinxed it... everything.
When Lucky and Ransom were in college and in naively in love, they ended their relationship after the "Incident". They wanted to do the deed, ahem, have sex. But every time it ended in disaster bigger than last! Leeches, tornado and flying roofs, feral pigs, wasps, fire. They should have stopped by then. But they were in love. And then... finally the "Incident", after which they both were too embarrassed and since then have been fighting their darkest fears. But now, they can't say no to their godmothers. They both owe them and above all, love them a lot. So, they agree and what comes after is... possessed cherries, falling roofs, floods!
This is a funny and cute rom-com fairy tale retelling with a lots of clichés along with magical characters. Obviously, a charming, feel good and heartwarming read. I loved all those fairy tales aptly combed in the town of Ever After. Hansel and Gretel, Prince turned into frog, the meddling fairy godmothers and fairy dust, the evil queen, the werewolf and fox spirits... But, I would have loved it more if I was 10 years younger! Well, I still do watch Frozen and Tangled after all these years, so, it wasn't all that bad! As said, a cute read. The author did a satisfying job to unite all the fairy tale characters in the town of Ever After.
So, while I had mixed feelings about, I still cannot wait to see what the mischievous meddling matchmakers - Petunia, Bluebonnet, and Jonquil have in store for their other charges!

This book was so freaking cute. It's probably one of those sweet and funny romances everyone needs once in a while, probably best consumed between two intense reads to relax your mind!
In it, you'll meet Lucky, the most un-lucky woman ever. For some reason, everywhere she goes chaos follows. It is very much the case with her love interest, Ransom. No matter how strong their feelings for each other are, accidents happen and they never managed to be intimate because of it. As much as they hate it, it was so funny to see them struggle. But! Their Fairy Godmothers are there to help. The magic has been slowly disappearing and they need some love to bring it all back up. So of course, a fake wedding between Ransom and Lucky is the perfect solution, right?
Overall, this was a fun and light read that I'm glad I read.

This is a fun story where magic, fairytales and romance all come together in a sassy and funny way. There is some heat, but more sizzle. Petunia, Jonquil, and Bluebonnet are fairy godmothers, the kind you meet in Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty. They are losing their magic and they need love to make it strong. They have decided to make Ever After, Missouri, where they and other fairytale characters live, into a destination wedding attraction. Their godchildren, Lucky Fujiki and Ransom Payne are the ones that are in their sights for the first of these events. Lucky and Ransom have been in love with each other since they were children, but things have not worked out for them. Some of these events will have you laughing out loud as you read about them. There was one event that I thought was overused and I wish the author had not even included it, which actually knocked my rating down a bit. As they plan a fake wedding for these two, things happen that have Lucky realizing that she is the one that needs to fix things if all of them, including her and Ransom, are to find their happily ever after.
I enjoyed this story with its entertaining characters. All the magic characters were ones that I had read about in my youth, but not quite like this. Both Gwen and Roderick, the sidekicks, were great and integral parts of the story. I loved Gwen's kids and how they brought our different sides to everyone. This was a fun, HEA story that had me smiling. A great read for my month of romance. I am already looking forward to my next visit to Ever After, Missouri. I was gifted a copy of this book upon request. The rating and opinions shared are my own.

Fairy Godmothers, Inc was cute in its own way. I felt like the premise of the story was inventive and cute. But the execution was slightly off.
I didn't really enjoy the dynamic of Lucky and Ransom. The relationship came together way too easily and didn't draw you in.
The problem that arises that threatens them apart was not believable enough and way too drawn out.

I was hooked on Fairy Godmothers, Inc. right from the first chapter that introduces us to the FGs themselves, the Blossom sisters. The fairy godmothers' magic has been fading for years, and they know they need to do something to rejuvenate it. The fairy godmothers decide to turn to two humans who owe them a favor, Lucky and Ransom. Lucky thinks her name is a curse – she's unlucky in most absurd, awful situations. When her godmothers ask her to fake marry Ransom, her first love and one man she desperately wants to forget, she can't say no. The godmothers set about planning their fake wedding in Ever After, Missouri in an effort to save magic and their town.
I adored everything about this book. Every character is interesting, compelling, and empathetic. The dialogue is fantastic, and occasionally laugh-out-loud funny. Ransom and Lucky's character arcs were so satisfying. The concept takes tales and characters all of us are familiar with and subverts them in truly charming ways (no pun intended).
This was my first Saranna DeWylde book, and now I can't wait to read more of her stuff. I'm so excited for this book to be out in the world. Thank you so much Kensington Books for providing me with an e-ARC.

Fairy Godmothers, Inc. was so much fun to dive into. I laughed so much and even had some tears showing up here and there. It was also pretty easy to fall in love with all the characters. Especially when you meet Lucky and Ransom. Oh Lucky.. she definitely thinks she is cursed and very very unlucky.
I honestly felt bad for her throughout the entire book because she wanted true love and Ransom all wrapped up in one. Yet, these two had so many freaking obstacles in their way. It was crazy. Heck beyond crazy.
Now I won't lie.. they both had to overcome their fears and lean on one another to make it out in the end. It just took forever and I wanted to bang my head on the wall. At least I got to laugh along their adventure because they were hilarious. Then there's the fairy godmothers who were freaking adorable. I would textural them all day every day.
Other than that, I'm intrigued to see what happened with Gwen and her potential love interest. I also really hope that jackass of an ex got a good dose of karma. Please say yes.

Saranna DeWylde puts her own fresh and fun spin on fairytales in Fairy Godmothers, Inc. I desperately wanted to love this fairytale-loving rom com, but the story ended up being a bit of a mixed bag for me. I almost didn’t finish the book because the first half wasn’t my cup of tea at all but I’m glad I stuck with it because the story finished strong and I enjoyed the world DeWylde created.
Lucky’s name feels like a terrible joke. Her luck isn’t your average level of bad – it’s preternaturally awful. But when her beloved godmothers ask for her help, Lucky ventures to Ever After, Missouri, to fake a wedding and put Ever After on the map as a wedding destination. The only problem is the groom is her ex. She and Ransom have a history of things going catastrophically wrong when they try to get together and “The Incident” was the final straw that broke their relationship. Though sparks fly upon their meeting again, other things begin to fly as well...like attacking mutant cherries. The hard part for me is that both Lucky and Ransom are decent people so watching terrible things happen to them isn’t enjoyable or funny. The first part of Fairy Godmothers, Inc. seems to be a series of disasters as Lucky and Ransom reconnect, fall back in love like there was no time apart, and everything felt shallow. If we were given any history besides their failed attempts at sex or the overblown “Incident” perhaps the insta-love when they re-meet would make more sense. This is the point where I almost stopped reading as everything felt unfunny, shallow, and over-the-top.
I’m glad I didn’t stop reading because in the second half of Fairy Godmothers, Inc. the book finds its feet. Lucky and Ransom’s relationship is tested as they have to make themselves vulnerable, face their fears, and take risks. It isn’t easy and the course of true love doesn’t run smooth, but I liked that they had to work for their happily ever after rather than have their fairy godmothers wave their problems away. There’s heart in this part of the book and the characters grow in an organic manner, learning about love, sacrifice, and acceptance; modern fairytale themes for an adult audience.
The town of Ever After is a fairytale world come to life. The titular fairy godmothers, Petunia, Bluebonnet, and Jonquil, are determined to bring love back to Ever After, as love powers the town’s magic and that magic is fading. Love in all its forms is at the heart of Fairy Godmothers, Inc. and that made me smile. DeWylde’s twists on fairytale characters also charmed the heck out of me. I loved exploring Ever After and seeing beloved characters in new forms and I definitely want to explore this adorable town and its endearing residents even further. So while I had mixed feelings about Lucky and Ransom’s story, I cannot wait to see what Petunia, Bluebonnet, and Jonquil have in store for their other charges!

I loved the premise of fairy tales retelling in modern times. I love fairy tales and happy stories. Which is why I picked this book, This book was more of a twisted fairy tale where three fairy godmothers wanted to boost the power of magic since it has decreased in the town of Ever After. They decided to create a wedding destination of their town to help fix the problem. Godchildren Lucky and Ransom were former college sweethearts that the fairy godmothers wanted to set up in a fake wedding to boost the town of Ever After. I liked Lucky and Ransom even though they had awful names. I overlooked that because I was interested in their love story. Lucky and Ransom had a sweet love story and I loved it.
My main issue besides the main characters names was the godmothers. It was really their story of rebuilding or rebranding their town but they were annoying to me. I know that I’m probably the only one that will think that. I wanted Lucky and Ransom to find their happiness without meddling godmothers but then again this was a book full of meddling people in it. Again I had to overlook that to read how the story would unfold for me.
I was at times confused of the many characters and their roles in the town of Ever After. I felt that the writer would start a story line of a character but never finished it. I’m assuming it’s for the next book? I loved the best friends and how loyal they were to the main couple. I especially loved Gwen’s children. I think the next book would be about the best friends finally finding happiness which I’m looking forward to.

This book was adorable! Just so cute and I was smiling through the whole thing. Ransom and Lucky had a falling out when they were younger. They were madly in love but Lucky is just UNlucky and after an unfortunate incident, Ransom was branded, “the Boy Who Missed”.
Now their fairy godmothers are trying to save Ever After and want them to get “fake married”. Ransom and Lucky never stopped loving each other, so they have to decide if life together is worth all the unluckiness that goes with it. Can someone love her no matter what? Lucky doesn’t want to have to put that on Ransom but she knows she deserves a HEA, like we all do.
All the magic and visits from some of our favorite storybook characters are hidden in the pages and it just made me feel like a kid again. I really enjoyed this light read and needed something to put a smile on my face!

Lucky Fujiki has no luck, she's a bad luck charm. Everything that can go wrong goes wrong around her. Her three fairy godmothers want to open a wedding planning business in Ever After, MI and have asked her and her old college bf to put on a fake wedding.
Her ex-boyfriend Ransom Payne is now a successful chocolatier billionaire with the help of the fairy godmothers.Lucky and Ransom's relationship was fraught with bizarre occurrences that are always blamed on her. So they parted ways even though they still had deep feelings for each other. They rekindled their feelings quickly but the bad luck also rekindled even quicker. Poor Lucky has to choose between bringing down everyone around her or her Happily Ever After.
They do explain why in this magical town that Lucky has no luck it has to do with some family secrets and there are some other magical characters living in this small town. With some other secrets that I am sure the next books in the series will uncover.

Oh my gosh I adored this one! Sometimes I hesitate at picking up a romance because a lot of them feel the same, but this one combined contemporary romance with fairytales and I just ate it up.
In this world, Ever After is a magical town that's flown beneath the radar for a long time. There are many familiar characters here with slightly different names - Red Riding Hood, Grandma, Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent, seven dwarves named after seven beers (my personal favorite), and of course, the three fairy godmothers. These fairies are godmothers to two people who have loved each other for a long time, even though it didn't work out before.
Now, just wait. You know what's gonna happen, I know what's gonna happen, we all know what's gonna happen. However, that doesn't take away from the humor and details that make this book what it is. For those of you that have read it, "The Boy Who Missed" made me laugh out loud. For those of you who haven't read it, you owe it to yourself to see what I'm talking about.

Yes, I am a sucker for a sweet romance and Fairy Tales. This one was all wrapped up in a great Fairy Tale town, with great Fairy Tale characters and a great Fairy Tale story that was full of fun, laughter and of course romance.
All of these characters were fabulous. Even the ones I didn't want to like were great. The characters were fun with a lot of laughter along the way. I really enjoyed every character and all of their personalities. Saranna has made some amazing characters.
The story was so fun. It was full of mischief and meddling and entertainment. It also had a fantastic romance story that was amazing to read. I loved it!
This is a great story and I didn't want to put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think Saranna did a great job with her writing. It was easy to read and quite enjoyable!

This is a great story and I didn't want to put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think Saranna did a great job with her writing. It was easy to read and quite enjoyable!
