Warlord Wulf thought nothing could be worse than being tortured and contaminated by the Hive. That was before he’s ordered to transport to Earth and represent The Colony in an unfamiliar horror… a human reality show. The Bachelor Beast is the hottest new program on Earth, but being set up with two dozen clingy females is not his idea of a good time. When his Beast refuses to show the slightest interest in any of the show’s potential mates, he knows he must choose one or die due to his raging mating fever. His Beast prefers execution to claiming anyone but his true mate. Wulf is resigned to his fate, a one-way trip to Atlan, a prison cell and execution. It is the only honorable thing left to do.Until one glance, one sweet, feminine scent lingering in the air and his beast rages for a female who is not supposed to be his.But try telling that to his Beast when his entire body transforms on live television and one simple word thunders from his lips...MINE.
I don't know what to tell you. I'm just plain bored at this point in the story. I'm moving on. It was an interesting concept overall but it's not keeping my attention. Maybe I'll come back to this in the future. We'll see ♡
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💙🖤💚❤️ Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍 Character development: 😔😃😤🥰
The heroine:Olivia - she was a makeup artist on the Bachelor Beast reality television show. She did the makeup for the women who were competing to win the heart of an Atlan male. She would have liked to be a contestant or even just apply for the Interstellar Brides program, but she couldn’t because she was raising her niece and nephew since her brother died.
The Hero:Wulf - he was an Atlan male, which meant he had a beast inside him that came out when he met his mate. He had agreed to come to Earth to be the bachelor for the reality television show because he wanted to help get more women from Earth to sign up for the Interstellar Brides program for all the males on the Colony to be matched. He was told the reality show would accomplish that goal. He had been matched once, but his Interstellar Bride had decided after the 30 day trial period, to return to Earth and since then Wulf had been suffering from mating fever.
The Story: Wulf knew that none of the females on the reality show were his mate. He was down to the last two women, and he was planning on not choosing either of them since his beast wouldn’t be happy with anyone but his true mate. He knew that if he didn’t find his mate, he was going to have to return to Atlan and be executed but he would rather do that than choose someone not his mate. However, he sees Olivia and immediately knows she is his mate.
I originally didn’t want to pick this book up because of the whole reality television/bachelor storyline but was glad to see that the story wasn’t focused on the tv show, but started when they were filming the final episode. I never liked The Bachelor show, so the storyline didn’t really appeal to me. However, I liked this story, and I liked the fact that Olivia was struggling to raise her brothers' kids and pay off his debt to a drug dealer. The one thing I didn’t like was the fact that she was overweight and had very low self-esteem because of it.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Tor Thom and Mia Sloane. Tor Thom is great; he has a super deep voice which is perfect for the seven-foot-tall alien with a beast inside. This was my first time listening to Mia Sloane and I really liked her youthful sounding voice. It was very pleasant, and she did a terrific job.
I like trying out new authors and this was the first by Grace Goodwin for me. I found the blurb interesting and thought that this would be a fun, lighthearted read. And it was. The writing was good and the pace was smooth. But this story doesn’t get a higher rating from me because there were a couple things that I didn’t really like or irritated me.
(1) I don’t like how the heroine kept putting herself down because of her size/weight/appearance. I hate that. I am irritated with books that have to distinguish or spell out that they’re BBW. UGH. Whyyyyyyyyyy??? It doesn’t matter to me. Just give me a heroine who owns her femininity in whatever size or shape she is!!! Self-confidence is sexy!!!!
(2) The whole premise of this story, I know, is already a little ludicrous. It’s a story about an alien beast finding his mate on a reality tv show. BUT really? Did you have to throw in the whole situation with
2.5 Smutt Stars I’m ¾ through this G.G. basket binge, and I might just be overloaded on it because they are so similar, but my stupid brain won’t let me quit until I get through all of them. Warlord Wulf has been around a lot in both the Interstellar Brides and the IB Colony series. We probably got the most from him in Jorik’s book (Cyborg's Secret Baby) I’ve always liked him, and admit was interested in the “Bachelor” format.
Wulf is part of a dating show when he gets a whiff of his true mate. I have to say I wasn’t super pleased with Rachel, (Surrender to the Cyborgs) and how she basically told him to just take one for the team and choose a mate for life, even though he and his beast didn’t like either of his choices.
I really thought this would have catty OW drama, but by the start of the book he’s already whittled it down to two candidates, and they’re both really nice… no drama there. We get a small bit of OW drama from an ex potential mate, and it was about the only excitement in the book, but it’s over pretty quickly.
Bottom Line- Not great for me. A lot of it was blah, and I know this is sci-fi smut, but the whole drug dealer/smuggler plot was ridiculous. It just didn’t work for me taking place on Earth... I think I like them better in space. These aliens are pretty much humans, so being in NYC lost all the sci-fi feel. Also, Wulf is a badass Warlord, and he’s allowing everyone to boss him around… like keeping his mating cuffs hostage. It looks like the rest may be similar, so I’m not going to continue with this spinoff.
** Random connections- Olivia’s nephew hanging/BFF’s with Kiel and Lindsey’s (Cyborg Seduction) son Wyatt. Olivia’s BFF Lucy’s book is Surprise Mates.
I tried so hard. I bought this by accident and I was determined I could push through. But dammit if I had to hear the FMC say something like “I’m not as skinny as those other girls” or “I’m a talented makeup artist but I don’t wear makeup every day” ONE MORE TIME I was going to rip my hair out. We got it the first time! You aren’t like the other girls! Surely there is more to your personality.
There is a right and a wrong way to write a curvy FMC who has insecurities and relationship issues. This is the wrong way.
This was part of a “go in blind” challenge - where I had to pick a romance series based purely on the covers. Which I have never done before. I’ve also never experienced any of Grace Goodwin’s writing. This was full of surprises all around.
I actually thought this was going to be a romantic suspense set in space. I was off on that -as this is humanoid aliens seeking brides. Wulf agrees to an Earth-based reality TV show (like The Bachelor) and has narrowed down to a final two contestants. Since neither is his “fated mate” he’s frustrated. Then he sees make-up artist Olivia and knows he has to have her.
I love that even though it’s fated mates, there’s no questions about consent. Olivia is 100% interested and willing. There’s several very steamy scenes. 🔥🔥🔥
I also loved discovering that Olivia is single mom to her orphaned niece & nephew. Wulf is fantastic with the kids as well as Olivia. Loved this new little family.
There was actually a little suspense as Olivia is in peril over deeds from her deceased brother and Wulf gets to save the day.
There’s an HFN for these two and I like the way Goodwin wrapped up the story.
Note: This is obviously a spin-off from another series and many of those characters are mentioned. Goodwin gives enough info that I didn’t feel lost or confused about who they were.
Narration: I loved both Mia Sloane and Tor Thom’s performances. Both did a wonderful job with various voices and emotions. Such an easy and fun listen.
So this was cute and fun, but definitely don't start with this author's works here.
This was my very first Grace Goodwin book, and I didn't realize it was a spin-off series until halfway through when I was so clearly missing the references from previous books. Some romances you can just jump in... this one you can't.
However, that being said, I did like what I could understand in this book so I'd be interested in starting with the first series in this world.
This was a good read this book was like the science fiction version of the bachelor. Warlord Wulf was ordered to transport to Earth and represent The Colony on a reality show "The Bachelor Beast". Forced to date 20 women his beast is annoyed not one of them is his mate. Resigned to return to Atlan for execution with the mating fever on the final episode he scents his mate and its not a contestant but someone else. Olivia cannot be a bride she is raising her dead brother's children she does not meet the testing protocol. So how can she possibly be this huge gorgeous Atlan's mate? Olivia is also dealing with a drug lord her brother owned him money so now he is forcing her to pay is debt. Wulf's beast wants his mate and he will stop at nothing to get her to protect her and the kids. This was a good read from an author that I have read before. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I listened and read this book at the same time. I am looking forward to listening to the next book in this series.
OMG. 🙉 This was so bad. I mean SOOOOOOOO bad. Repetitive, raunchy, repetitive, juvenile and repetitive.
Now, I love filth (one of my favorite books features 24oz of minotaur semen). That's not my problem. And I don't mind a little insta-love. But this was OTT. He claimed her on set in the studio. Just hauled her off to a random room and did the deed. It was gross, tbh. I had no connection to these characters. All we knew about her was that she thought the alien was hot...and sexy...and hot...and attractive...and hot...

Get ready for possessive beast made! Wolf has been a favorite character for me, and his long-awaited story is here. I just knew it would tug at my heart, keep me on the edge of my seat, and overwhelm my emotions. After all Atlans know what they want, take no prisoners, and thoroughly possess their mates in a way that leaves readers in a puddle of want and desire. This author has created a series that never gets old. Her characters are realistic in spite of being alien, and her world building is flawless in that readers are transported into her imagination to the point that everyday life fades away. I cannot wait to see where she takes us next!
I really liked this. It gave me serious Ice Planet Barbarian vibes mixed with The Bachelor. The alien men come to earth to find their mates so they can take them back to their planet. Totally going to continue on with the series.
this book is definitely outside of my 'normal' wheelhouse' for genres/tropes. But I was intrigued by the summary when I started it on audible. I was honestly surprised by how much I actually enjoyed it! I do have to say that a narrator in audiobooks can make or break the book. I don't know if enough authors realize that. but thankfully the narrator for Bachelor Beast was a good choice. haha. We meet our MC Warlord Wulf [ whom is an "alien beast" ] as he's essentially a "prisoner" at the Hive. He's forced to participate in this dating / mate tv show. He quite literally has no choice but to choose a "life mate.". As a shifter, that's not possible for him. He has to WANT the person in order to mate them. And he doesn't want any of the women on the show. Then suddenly he sees the makeup artists, and bam. He knows she is his mate.
My only complaint is that I hated how the FMC kept putting herself down. She essentially kept fat-shaming herself, and honestly, we never really need or want that in a book.
Overall, fairly unique storyline for a book. I'll check out others by the author.
What do you get when you mix a Beast at the end of his rope, a reality show, and an unexpected mate? Greatness! ****** Overall Rating: 5, Warloard Wulf and his Beast stars Standalone: Yes Steam: 4 Beast-mode is Hawt flames ****** Warlord Wulf is developing mating fever so the Colony thinks he would be an excellent ambassador to get more women to sign up for the Interstellar Brides program and asked to be placed in the Colony. However, what they didn't tell him, is that he would be searching for his own mate on a reality tv show. What could go wrong?
Olivia is a makeup artist for a tv program and is used to being behind the scenes. She has recently become a mother-figure for her niece and nephew and is cleaning up after her late brother messes. Her situation is less than ideal and she fantasizes about a different life. But, with her current situation...every man she's dated runs the other way once he finds out that she is taking care of two young children. However, recently her fantasy's have taken on a different note, Warlord Wulf keeps her awake at night, and enters her dreams.
Warlord Wulf is not happy to be on a reality tv program to find a mate. His beast is especially not happy. Neither he or his beast are attracted to the girls presented to him on the reality show, but now that he is down to the last two women, he knows he has to make a choice. Who will get his cuffs and become his mate? What will his beast do when he makes that dreaded decision.
That's as far as I am going to go. No spoilers here! This book was great! It was fun, it was sexy, it was emotional, it was everything. I have a special place in my heart for those veteran's on the Colony, and I want them all to find their mates and happiness!
This book gets all my recommendations. If you like hot dominate and grumpy aliens that can go into beast-mode looking for their one true mate...this book is for you!
I'd give it 2.5 Stars. This was recommended by Nook and I got it through Libby because I like using my libraries. After reading several reviews, I felt armed for the pluses and minuses.
I liked the premise and execution -it was that mail-order tope I go for! The Bachelor show thing was weird, however totally believable for this planet LOL.
The NOPE: the girl's insistence that her body wasn't up to snuff really was annoying. Being plus-sized, I have image issues rooted in the same reasoning she does. But, there comes a time when you realize the guy/girl really does you for everything you are and not just ignoring the fact that you're not "trim" -but in fact loves you that way. I would've appreciated a straight talk about that between them, but alas there wasn't. This was spelled out with other reviewers and I concur. You make that an issue, you resolve it properly.
One reality show you are going to want to read all about Books like this are why this author continues to be one of my favorites. I wasn’t sure that I would like the alien reality show, but I quickly changed my thinking. This went from a typical boring bachelor show to a fight for Wulf’s soul with just one word, MINE. I love the way this beast wouldn’t let anything stand in the way of his lady love becoming his. Okay that tranq might have kept him down for a moment, but the way he steps up and accepts Olivia’s niece and nephew as his to protect made him one of my all time favorite characters. This book is still with me even after turning to the last page and I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next.
Meh, wasn’t anything special. It was mostly okay, but not interesting enough to read more of series. I didn’t really like the characters all that much.
Eenie meenie miney mo... Who should he pick? Neither...

Okay all of this was trying his patience he couldn't believe she was covering him with cosmetics yeah (war paint) when she was finally done he politely thanked her. Yes he understood the language It had been imperative that I learn english so that I could communication with my supposed bride my mate. Yeah she did her thirty days and immediately returned to her home to choice another male. He honestly didn't see much success in there program as they dangled these girls in front of him. The reality none of this was going to save him in fact he thought he might as well return home and face the inevitable instead of continue this farce because his other half showed no interest. He'd been here for several weeks and he now understood why the human girls jumped at a chance to vacate this rock. The Colony was where they sent the broken, damaged and the unclean men and women. He applaud the two females ingenuity coming up with this delusional plan to lure other human women to the Colony. Okay he needed to give this nightmare a chance but no he wasn't kissing any of them his other half was on the verge of shredding him. No absolutely not happen I'm not chosing either one my other half won't let me claim someone who's not my mate. Wulf didn't even bother to look at either of the females on the stage no he saw someone that caught his undivided attention and oh wow she was his. Olivia was so confused what just happened was he really watching her? Mate and mine were the only words that truly mattered and now he stalked over to where she was standing. She couldn't believe when he pulled her off towards his so called dressing room. OMG... Nothing else mattered all Wulfe wanted was to worship his mate they way she deserved he could barely contain himself so they could keep banging nothing was stopping him, his other half would have protested. Olivia did the only thing she could she left he life was complicated she tried once before to be considered as a possible mate but no she'd was turned down because she had dependants so her choices are limited. Wulf was desperate for Olivia his mate unfortunately she was nowhere in sight. He'd been shot with a tranquilizer meant for some type of Earth animal. He listened intently as Warden Egara calmly tried to explain his situation to him and general what they still expected from him. The last thing he'd expected when they arrived at his mate's domicile was two younglings but once it was explained to him they were her niece and nephew who'd lost their parents. Olivia was discussed by the things she had to put up with her deplorable family wasn't worth any of this and neither was the jerk who enjoyed her discomfort. How in the world did he find me? Olivia couldn't understand he had twenty-four beautiful women to choice from. She didn't believe him Wulf needed for Olivia to understand that she was his even if they kept telling him according to laws she had to choose him. If his mate could look at him and not see what he thought were flaws then why couldn't she see her own beauty. There trip to New York was filled with nothing but made up drama designed to create even more drama they really should have offered them hazard pay for all the hassle in flicked by them. All Wulf wanted was to give his mate her cuffs so that she'd officially be his along with those precious younglings. But now he needed to stop Olivia before she disappeared.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. I must say that Grace Goodwin is one of my favorite authors. I’m always waiting for anything she writes. This book is one of my new favorites in the Interstellar Bride Series. For starters it doesn’t start with the bride, it starts with the warrior, Warlord Wulf that has been roped into a reality tv show on Earth in order to increase bride volunteers from earth, specifically for The Colony a planet where wounded and partially integrated cyborg veterans live. Due to security reasons and social stigma veterans are often rejected. So we start with Wulf and his begging and pleading with Colony governor, Maxim to be let out of this reality TV torture and we hear his inner monologue which is equal parts hilarious and desperate. Wulf knows that if he does not find his bride his mating fever will rage and the only way out of it is execution. On the other hand we have the book’s female protagonist Olivia, a plus size average person, with her fair share of complexes due to our ever increasing monochromatic definition of beauty. She feels strongly attracted to Wulf, like just about every woman on the planet at that moment. And when his inner beast recognizes her as her mate, she truly cannot believe his promise, devotion and lifelong commitment to her. That doesn’t stop her from having very hot backstage sex, so while Wulf see this as his vow to his mate, to her it is just a very good one night stand. The ensuing plot it a very real and plausible sequence of misunderstandings due to cultural differences and life commitments between two good people, Olivia and Wulf. The plot and development of their romance is equal parts frustrating and endearing and just wishing to tell them…talk it out, be yourselves, trust each other. However trust takes time, a precious commodity in short supply in the story. I have to say that I hated show’s producers which were a sleazy lot, that caused a lot of hurt feelings just for ratings, when in reality it was not necessary. Another notable character throughout the series, and this book in particular is Warden Egara, the IBP chief for Earth, and as usual she has a big heart and an implacable steel core, always willing to go the extra mile for her warriors and brides. Overall a very enjoyable read
While this new series is part of the Interstellar Brides Program, it has a unique twist that kept the pages turning as this tale unfolds. How to get more brides from Earth to want to go to the colony—reality television of Alien male and human females. It will start with Warlord Wulf on Earth, on a reality TV program, Bachelor Beast, where he will meet twenty-four women, and before the month is over, offer his cuffs to one of the contestants.
The story is of Warlord Wulf, an Atlan, living on The Colony after being integrated with Hive technology. He needs to find a mate or face elimination because of mating fever. Not something a warlord would not accept, but there is always that chance of hope. Now, he finds himself facing the reality of what will happen. The show is down to two contestants, and neither one speaks to his Beast.
“The poor Atlan across from me took things to a whole new level. Find your special someone or be put to death? That seemed a bit extreme.”
The plot will bring make-up artists, Olivia Mercier and Warlord Wulf, together with by freak chance, and the story is the journey along the way. The trials, dangers, and trouble they will face. He must convince her that she is his chosen mate, the one his beast claims. Olivia is facing demons on her own, and while she would like to believe that her prince has come, in beast form, she has issues that will eliminate her from being able to accept---or will she? Because when Wulf sees her off stage, his Beast takes over, and his Beast won’t accept anything but Olivia.
“Mine. Mate. You.”
The story has the good, the bad, and the evil. It will show how loyal and devoted an Atlan warrior, as Warlord Wulf is, how he not only wants but needs Olivia. When he meets the children, he is willing to claim them too. But as in all great tales, you must read the story. Best of all, it does have the coveted happily ever after ending. It will even have a few characters that will probably have their own stories later.
Warlord Wulf is an Atlan that has been altered by The Hive so he cannot go back to his home planet. Instead he resides on a planet named The Colony, which is a collection of wounded warriors from all over the universe. To bring more brides to The Colony to marry the warriors and lift moral, Wulf is chosen to star on the Earth reality show “Bachelor Beast.” He has wined, dined, and whittled the choice down to two lovely Earth ladies. However, there is one problem, Wulf’s inner beast does not want either of the contestants. And there is another problem, if Wulf is not mated soon, not only has he failed his fellow warriors on The Colony, but life will end. In steps, literally, Olivia Mercier, the reality show’s makeup artist. She has always wanted to be an intergalactic bride, but due to her two kids, she is not a candidate. Her stumbling steps end up setting off a chain of events that lead to humor, steamy encounters, touching moments, a few tears, and a lot of Alpha maleness!
This is the first novel I have read by Grace Godwin and it is the first novel in this series that I have read. You do not need to read the other novels in the series to follow this storyline. I absolutely loved this story. It was right amounts of steamy encounters, laughter, and touching moments. I do not want to give away any spoilers, but Wulf is the most endearing and loving Alpha that I have ever read. I simply love him. Olivia is a peach as well. She is parts realism, fantasy, and Mama Bear. Although Olivia initially was down on herself because of her physical appearance, she was able to let that go and let Wulf love her like she needed to be loved. And those two kids are so sweet. There were a lot of teary moments with Wulf and the kids. I am going to save this ARC edition to read at another time. It was a super awesome read.
I received a free advanced reader copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this latest addition to the Interstellar Brides series. The Colony, which is home to a great number of disfigured war veterans from the intergalactic war with the Hive needs brides. The few mated women on the Colony decided that the Atlan, Wulf, would make the best impression on Earth women since he could speak English, is tall, muscled, and gorgeous!
All of the other stories start with the Earth woman chosing to go to a mate either on a member planet or the Colony. This time Wulf comes to Earth and he hates it. He is set up to select his mate via The Bachelor Show, this time called the Bachelor Beast. He started off with 24 prospective 'brides' and by the last episode has whittled the long list down to two: Willow and Genevieve. They are both tall, slim and model gorgeous. Wulf's beast is in mating heat, but his beast does not want, and will not select any of the beautiful women put before him. He is doing his best to show Earth women that the men of the Colony would make them wonderful mates, if he can control his beast for just this last night.
Olivia Mercier is a part-time make-up artist for the women on the show. Her boss and best friend, Lucy Vandermark, switched places with Olivia so that Olivia might get to see the actual live show and the gorgeous Wulf live! She is off in the wings watching, when someone bumps into her and she catches the eye of Wulf. He catches her scent and his beast takes over wanting only Olivia. Then the fun begins...
Warden Egara helps to play matchmaker for these two (can't wait for her to get her own story...please). There are some sweet moments, some sexy ones, and some bad 'actors' to create tension and complexity to the story. We do get our HEA. This one is definitely a 5 star story by the writing team that makes up "Grace Goodwin".
I received this story as an ARC, but the decision to read and review was my own. It was indeed a pleasure.
Warlord Wulf is on Earth for 30 days to hopefully garner more brides for the Colony. Through a twist of fate, he ended up on a television reality show where he was supposed to pick a mate from 24 contestants, none of which his inner beast was even slightly interested in...he needed to maintain control, get his mating cuffs back from the glass case the show had them in, and return to Atlan for death because of his mating fever which would put him into a killing frenzy...on the eve of having to chose between two remaining contestants, Wulf's beast scented something in the air...it was the makeup artist, Olivia and he made a beeline for her...saying MINE...Olivia tried to get out of the way, but Wulf was definitely after her...a curvy girl who worked part-time for the show. She was never to object of attention and not sure what to do, so when he picked her up and carried her to his dressing room, still muttering MINE...she had no choice but going with him...meanwhile camera crews scrambling to follow and emcee Chet trying to put microphone in their faces...Olivia never had an easy life, inheriting her deceased brother's two children and his debts to a drug dealer, once dreaming of becoming an interstellar bride, but until children old enough to make their own choices, she couldn't get selected...of course the show wanted full details and Wulf in beast mode not forthcoming...but with Hive-integrated warriors depending on this influx of brides, mating fever barely under control and Warden Egara routing for him, Wulf is learning about Olivia and the children he wants under his care...but you will need to read this latest Atlan Warlord adventure to see what happens...I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.
Poor Wulf has to endure some of the most insufferable aspects of US culture: reality TV, celebrity/lack of privacy, being exocticized. And he does this all for the sake of his friends back on the Colony; whatever happens with him on earth and on the reality show shenanigans reflects on the entire Colony and could potentially mean the difference between the rest of the colony finding their perfect mates or not. Wulf himself has no hope for a mate himself. He not only was already rejected when previously matched years before, but his beast is well aware that neither of the contestants he has to choose from are his mate. But in an intense moment, in a scandalous scene reality TV producers salivate for, Wulf's beast identifies his mate on screen: Olivia, one of the studio's make up artists. Olivia has taken on not only her deceased brother's two children (eliminating her from the Interstellar Bride program), but also his debt to a shady drug dealer. From here we can see there are more than a few barriers to Olivia and Wulf's happy ending, but it's not as simple as that. Everything Wulf and Olivia (and the reader) can imagine that might stand in their way only scratches the surface; the obstacles end up being ten times as bad as either of them expected! There are scenes that are spicy and intense, enraging, frightening and intense, alarming, tense, hilarious, tender and sweet. You know how when you have something important to do, but you're also half-way through a book, and suddenly you're neglecting responsibilities? That's what happened to me reading this :)
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Warlord Wulf has been searching for his mate or he had one but it didn’t work out. He has another chance on a new Earth show called Bachelor Beast which he didn’t not want to do. Olivia had tried out for the Bride Program but was turned down. She never expected to be even close to one. But she can’t be the new mate, it isn’t possible, is it? You have to love that they are trying different things to recruit more brides. They actually needed to be more open minded about the brides. I never did like them asking if the brides had any children. So what? They couldn’t come along. But I am so glad to see that we finally get to read about Warlord Wulf’s chance at a mate. Thank goodness. He certainly deserves a mate. All the alien’s on the Colony deserve one. I love that Olivia is not your typical model size. Yeah for plus size. And thank you for Winnie the Pooh. He has always been my favorite bear since I was a child. Wulf is so deserving of an Atlan. Olivia and he are perfect. Of course “reality tv” always has to throw a bone and screw with happiness. His past bride. UGH! I wanted to scream. You know this makes for a great story when I want to punch Chet in the face and slap the past bride. Please tell me that we will find Warden Egara’s new mates soon. She so deserves it. She has helped so many. She needs a new happy ending.
Fast-paced and action-packed, this alien romance tells the story of Olivia and Wulf. Coming from a family of miscreants, Olivia has worked hard to break the cycle of criminal behavior and has take on the responsibility of her dead brother's children as well. She is determined that they won't be pulled into the criminal underworld if she can help it. Life hasn't been easy, but she is content caring for the kids and knowing she is helping them to lead a better life. Her brother's nefarious past has followed her, though, and might endanger her future.
Wulf, in his mating fever, has agreed to participate in a reality dating program on Earth, hoping to find his mate and convince human women to apply to be Interstellar brides so that other warriors might have the opportunity to meet their perfect matches. He doesn't expect the intensity of his attraction to Olivia, a behind-the-scenes makeup artist working on the show. He will do anything to claim her and soothe his inner best. Olivia, burdened with responsibilities and not realizing her own worth, is reluctant to mate with Wulf. He will have his work cut out for him if he hopes to win her over.
Wulf is a tortured soul who has seen a ray of light upon meeting Olivia. He is kind, protective and nurturing - a perfect mate. Olivia is hardworking and loving, a good match for the damaged warrior. The chemistry between these characters is strong, the storyline creates tension, and the action moves the story forward at a rapid clip. Four stars for this alien romance.

Hot alpha aliens and a reality show on Earth, what a great combo! I love Grace Goodwin’s series and this new one is just a great as I had hoped.
Wulf is close to the edge and close to being put out of his misery but one last attempt to find him his mate through a new Interstellar Bride Program show may just lead to the very thing he has only hoped for. Sent to Earth to help put a positive light on the Program through a Bachelor style reality show, Wulf is done with the pretense. His mate isn’t among the ladies and he doesn't know what his beast will do if he has to choose someone who isn’t his. I loved Wulf. I loved that as soon as he sensed Olivia, it was all over. They had some hurdles but Wulf would not give up.
Olivia is a single parent, the guardian of her niece and nephew. She is one of the makeup artists on Wulf’s reality show but raising 2 children under the age of 5 leaves her little room to do anything but her job and then go home. She finally gets to watch the show in person for the first time and everything changes. I love that Olivia was willing to step up and take her brother’s children as her own, even at the expense of her own life. I love that they are her first priority and I really enjoyed Wulf’s immediate protection of those kids.
This book had lots of action and great characters. I can’t wait for the next one in the series.
