I’ve never done something so reckless. So exciting. Perfect Gracie Gallagher would never run away from home with four men she just met. But when Logan invites me on tour with his band for the summer—I say yes.

Logan is charismatic and carefree. With him, I'm fun Gracie. Wild Gracie.

But then why can’t I stop thinking about the tattooed singer? Colin doesn’t want me here. He’s quiet and cold. He broods in corners, scowling and watching me with knowing blue eyes. I want him. But he doesn’t want me. At least, I don’t think he does.

This is a standalone novel in the TO BE YOURS series.

This one really surprised me. I'm not sure why, but I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. I have not had the best experience with new adult recently, but this just reminded me why I love the genre. I feel like my high school self would completely be obsessed with it.

I think the enjoyment comes down to the fact that this was just so readable. I was constantly flipping through the pages to see what was going to happen next and what shenanigans this couple and group of friends was going to get up to next. Sometimes events were too rushed, but I really enjoyed all the tropes within this story and it was just so fun to read about.

I only have two things that I think this book could really have improved upon. One was how the writing sometimes felt pretty cheesy, especially when Gracie was speaking. I think that this could be a function of the fact that she was a virginal heroine, which is not one of my favorite tropes. She came off as exceedingly naive at times, which was a little frustrating. As someone who also had to stay in and study a lot as a freshman in college, I found her complete nativity unbelievable. Additionally, there were themes of addiction in this book that definitely needed to be fleshed out more. Addiction impacts the daily life of the addict and should not be thrown into the story for drama. There was a larger commentary that could and should have been made here that was lacking for me.

Overall, I really did enjoy the fast-paced, steaminess of this book. I feel like I would read another book by this author, especially if I was in a reading slump because this would take me right out of it.

Okay this is going to be brief but let me just start by saying rarely give 5 stars for a romance/NA novel. So this is more like 4.5 stars but that’s just me being very picky!

I read book one in this series as an eARC and seriously fell in love with it. That one did get the full 5 stars but it was the first time in a long time that I’d given that rating to a NA Romance (that wasn’t Colleen Hoover). I wasn’t as enamoured by book two but I sill really enjoyed it. This is a typical series in this genre where the characters are connected but the books can be read as stand alone. Skit was great to see little peaks of past characters.

Once again, with To Be Your Last, Kennedy has struck that delicious delicate balance between sweet and sexy and then injected just the right amount of steam exactly where you want it. This is fast becoming her signature style and I am here for it! Her leading ladies are always likeable and relatable in some way, and her guys are, well, definitely my type. They may well be a little stereotypical characters but personally I love it and don’t care.

So just briefly, the plot! What can I say? it has fake dating, its fun and flirty and has a hot AF rock star with a road trip and close proximity I honestly think Rae Kennedy’s has just combined everything I love and put it in this book. I don’t really know what more you could even want tbh.

Oh and finally! I made the mistake of reading the teaser chapter for book four which was at the very end of the eARC (I very rarely do this) and good god I need that book ASAP! I NEED Kyla and Eric’s story!

*To Be Your Last is book three in the To Be Yours series but can be read as a stand-alone.*

I adore Rockstar romances so when I got the hint that this book was going to be that I immediately added it to my TBR and once again Rae just killed it. Books like this remind me why I absolutely adore reading. I was comply enveloped in this story and it was such a fun, light hearted read and was exactly what I needed.

When Gracie comes home from school for her sisters wedding not all is as it seems.. what her parents don’t know is that she lost her spot in her summer research fellowship and will not be returning.. now left to disappoint her parents Gracie doesn’t know what to do. Until she locks eyes with the singer of the band at the wedding. He completely captives her and makes her feel as though she is the only one in the room and chases her worries away. Though he may not be able to take his eyes away from her either his band mate is the one who makes a move on Gracie first and invites her to go on tour with them solving her problems of having to tell her parents about her failure. Nothing could possibly go wrong right?

I will say there was a few times when Gracie really got on my nerves and wouldn’t listen to Colin or his feelings about certain situations and some of her actions aggravated me. But she is very young and is out on her own in the world for the first time ever which explains why she does the things she does. Colin is a beautiful man and I give him nothing but love and praise. Colin should definitely become your new book boyfriend!🤍

This book is enemies-to-lovers and Fake-Relationship thrown in a sultry, fun Rockstar romance that will leave you thinking about it days later.

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

This book absolutely broke down the doors to my heart and created a little bit of chaos in there. Seriously, this book was fantastic! So full of feels, you guys!

This author works a little bit of magic with her storytelling. I don't know how else to describe the feeling that reading this book elicited in me. The writing style was just perfect in every way. The welcoming prose, the smooth narration, and the flow of the story. I was bewitched by this author's writing style. Plus, the way that she tells her story is darn incredible. The plot of this story was so well put together and executed. The story kept me enthralled the entire time.

These characters charmed me from the very start. First of all, this book has an amazing cast of secondary characters. The chemistry that they all have together is riveting. I was addicted to it. Gracie and Colin were such awesome characters. They really captured a piece of my heart. They were so likable and relatable. I just wanted to be right there living their lives right alongside them. These characters were so flawed and realistic. I loved it. I seriously hope that the author decides to give the other band members their own stories because it would be such a shame not to. These characters have a powerful effect on the reader. Their relationships are so strong and interesting.

The romance in this book was just everything. It was a little bit enemies-to-lovers and a little bit fake romance. I loved it all. Gracie and Colin were simply everything in this book. They had such an immediate and intense chemistry. It was explosive. Their connection was intense and real. I breathed in their romance like oxygen.

Overall, this book was a little bit of magic that made my heart beat just a little bit faster. I was obsessed with this story from start to finish. These characters captured my heart and this story imprinted on my soul. I can't recommend this one enough!

Omg y’all I love all the books, but this one is my favorite. Colin is my fave and my top book boyfriend. Ugh this book was everything I needed. It was deep and light at the same time.

I love traveling in books and that’s one of the things I love about this book. The whole tour bus life was so fascinating to me. Colin was all broody and mean in the beginning, but the way he protects Gracie it’s the cutest freakin thing ever.

I found myself relating to Gracie on a lot of things especially her innocent essences. The steam is just so freakin hot. I love how Colin is attentive and caring about the whole aspect. He helps her self grow and choose herself.

Their moments were just beautiful and Colin fucking Wolfe loves to cuddle!!! HAHHA I love that so much.

*i was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review*

This was FOR SURE my favorite in the series. I’m pretty sure it’s my top book of the year so far, too 🥺

I’m about to get real with y’all: this book is THE SHIT! It’s literally incredible, perfect, and beyond gorgeous. It is the most perfect summer read. There are road trips, rockstars, fuck-it lists, fake dating...LITERAL PERFECTION!

The chemistry between Gracie and Colin is so beyond intense, & they’re so, so BEAUTIFUL. Colin is just so protective and loving toward Grace from the start and I adore them so much. Every scene they were in together felt like Christmas. The way I cry over them is absolutely RIDICULOUS but I love it.

Gracie was such a relatable character to me; I don’t know if it’s because we’re the same age or what but I seriously feel like we’re the EXACT SAME PERSON. Or maybe that’s just me daydreaming because I want to marry Colin and never ever EVER let him go. But she’s for sure way braver than I am. I loved seeing her grow in this story. I felt her struggles on a whole other level and I love that she didn’t magically have it all together.

Colin Wolfe? What can I say? No flaws, absolutely GORGEOUS, fucking loves to cuddle (his words not mine). He seriously just snagged a top spot in my book husband list. I LOVE HIM IMMENSELY. He is everything in the whole world. Bye

I also fell for the side characters as well; I cried laughing so much. His band mates were everything! I loved seeing their dynamics and different personalities. And how they brought Grace in. I really hope to see more of them in a future book 👀 I also CANNOT WAIT for the next book. Beyond ready.

I’m conclusion, I would not change ONE SINGLE THING about this book. It’s absolute perfection and I need y’all to read it RIGHT THE FRICK NOW. Pretty please 💓

An intense romance from start to finish the heat between Gracie and Colin is beyond palpable! Their romance started off as a whirlwind adventure that lead to heart break and devastation! I loved how the author took us back to their first meeting and how their relationship played out then brings us to the now! As memories of the best and worst time of her life flood her Gracie once more has to decide not only about her future but also about her heart!

I can say that the heat between Gray and Colin was out of this world hott! My goodness those two can set the pages on fire! This book is filled with some great characters and I love the growth that you see Gracie go through! She’s a hot mess of a woman but she is def one kick butt female!

To Be Your Last by Rae Kennedy your next five-star read. This is number three in the To Be Yours series but they can be read as stand-alone and I can attest to that as I have read number one and then somehow missed number two, and I didn’t feel lost in the slightest. I haven’t read a Rockstar romance for ages and now I have read two on the trot and do you know what I am eager to get me some more. If you have ever wanted to run away from your life, or just do something crazy then this is for you, even if you haven’t then pick this up as it will inspire you to. Gracie, Gracie, Gracie you are simply sublime, I have never met someone so easy to relate to, someone who made me feel her panic and pain from her first few words. Then she takes a leap and leaps into life, but it’s what happens after the leap and when life moves on that made this story so amazing. I can’t wait for more from this author.

If it were possible to give this books more than 5/5 stars, I absolutely would! I adored this book; it's without question one of my favorite books of the year.

This is one of those books that I just throw at my friends and say, "Read this, just trust me on this one." Honestly, the same thing can be said of the other two books in this series, but this one is without question my favorite of the three. And let's just talk about that for a moment. The first two books in this series, To Be Your Girl and To Be Your Wife are incredible books; the bar was already so high and Rae Kennedy vaulted right over it with ease! These books just keep getting better and better. So that being said, you can read this as a standalone, but read all three. Just trust me on this one. 😉

This book follows Gracie as she runs away for the summer and embarks on a road trip with the band that plays at her sister's wedding. I can't imagine someone not being able to relate to Gracie's need to get out and experience life and see the world (or at least the world outside of your hometown and college), and I know for a fact this would have been 19-year-old-me's dream summer. Now the thought of drinking fuzzy navels and sleeping in the back of a van make me want to wash down some Ibuprofin with a big glass of water, but it is endearing (and dare I say nostalgic!) to tag along as Gracie gets to check things off of her list!

If you're in a reading slump or just looking for your next read, this needs to be it! It has everything to love in it!

The tropes: Road trip and forced proximity? Rockstars? Fake dating? This book has it all. Not only that there's also never-have-i-ever, spin the bottle, after parties, tattoos, and song lyrics/poetry sharing. It all comes together so beautifully!

The relationship: The connection between Gracie and Colin is combustible (in the best way) and flows so naturally from begrudging tour mates to fake-dating to lovers. The trust that built overtime is enviable; it's incredible how they are able to connect on a person/emotional level and on a physical level. And speaking of physical OH MY HOT-STEAMY GOODNESS this book takes romance to a new level. Chapter 15 will forever live in infamy. I don't know how Rae Kennedy does it, but I hope she never stops!

The character development: When we first meet Gracie she has just finished her first year of college and she's never been further than her hometown and college. Not only that, most of her time at college was spent keeping her head down and making it through her classes. So she's young, and that shows during some of her reactions to different situations and emotions. But what's wonderful about this book is we get to watch her grow as a person over this summer and (spoiler!) years later. I was hesitant at first with how young she was, but it adds such a layer to this book that I'm certain if you took it away this story wouldn't be nearly as powerful.

The band: This should honestly just be about the friendships in the book rather than just the band (because Kyla is such a great friend!), but the way the guys in the band embrace Gracie and all work together to make sure she's comfortable, has fun and is protected is one of my favorite things ever. Each band member has their own clear personality, quarks, and brings so much to the story. I would read about these guys just hanging out in a laundry mat, that's how much I loved them. Their relationships with each other and with Gracie are the cherry on to of this story!

The album: I don't want to get too spoilery, but THE ALBUM. There are certain moments in books that stay with us as readers forever, and the moment we learn with Gracie about the album is one for me.

The writing: This should go without question, but Rae's writing is unlike any others out there. Her voice as an author is so clear and she brings such life to her stories and these characters. She manages to write these incredibly well-rounded characters, have laugh-out-loud moments that transition into the hottest scenes, and then fill your heart with such deep emotions; it's no exaggeration to say I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I had to take a cold shower! The whole book is just beautiful, and I can vividly picture everything as if I was right there with Gracie experiencing this wild ride of a summer.

This story is so fresh and wonderfully written, it's exactly what I needed! I know this book and this series are going to be my comfort reads and I can't wait to re-read and experience them again and again. And of course, for any stories that come next!

I wanted to start by saying thank you to @netgalley and @rae.kennedy.author for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
I loved this book, y'all!!💙 I had not read any of the other in the series but I will be adding them to my tbr list. THIS book made me want to find a band and runaway with them. I loved the friendship between all the characters and the love and support. And don't get me started with Colin Wolfe, because ugh I just can't with him😊😍. He was perfect, super protective, sweet, everything you have ever wanted in a boyfriend. Honestly, I think he ruined guys for me with how amazing he was. And Grace reminded me so much of myself when I finished high school, except I didn't runaway with a band full of amazing guys, although I wish I had, lol! Plus alot of super steamy sexy scenes and awesome banter. One of my new favorites and top reads of 2020, I highly recommend, y'all! This book does have some drug abuse scenes.

This book was provided by the author through Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Rae Kennedy and Give Me Books Promotions!

To Be Your Last
is the third book in the To Be Yours series and tells the story of Gracie and Colin. Even though this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.

I really liked the first two books in the To Be Yours series but To Be Your Last is definitely my favourite book in the series! The story was so well written and I had to know what was going to happen to the characters. I finished this book in one sitting because I really liked Gracie and Colin’s story and I wanted to read their HEA.

I’m a big fan of Enemies to Lovers books and the chemistry between Gracie and Colin… WOW! I really liked reading in Gracie’s perspective, I liked reading about her feelings and her poetry. Colin wasn’t the nicest guy at the beginning of the book but he redeemed himself. He looks badass but he’s a cutie! Gracie and Colin are a match made in heaven and I loved that their relationship started as a fake relationship, another trope that I really like.

I really liked the concept of this story and To Be Your Last was such an amazing read! Rae Kennedy is such a good author and I cannot get enough of her characters and stories. I really like the To Be Yours series and I cannot wait to read the fourth book in the series!

I was avoiding reading this one. I read every book in the series before this one, but after the 4th book, I needed more.
I was avoiding it because I usually don't like the Rockstar trope, and from reading the 4th book, I knew of some stuff that would happen in this book that I normally don't like in romance books. One thing being Gracie being young and naive.
However, i read this book in one sitting and COULD NOT put it down. This author does such an amazing job of writing an amazing book in under 300 pages. The main characters relationship was a sexy slow burn and I loved it so much. She does a great job of writing sex scenes that will leave you running for a cold shower.
The one thing I didn't love was the ending. Which I have noticed is a theme in this series.

* I was kindly gifted this in return for an honest review on Netgalley*

I loved this!! It gave me such Fall from Grace vibes except without the angels and the demons. (Even the character had the same name 😂) The banter between the group was adorable and I loved the plot! What more could you ask for: Sexy brooding Rockgod, fake relationships, a bit of a love triangle, witty and sassy main female. It was super! Definitely an 18+ read - drugs, alcohol, sex. But it all just added to the greatness of this in my opinion. If I could of asked for anything it would have been more of Logan's games cause they were always my favourite bits! Great read. 4.5 stars - really reccomnded

There is a big difference between this book and the first. I quite liked it.
I think it reflected well the situation Gracie put herself in and maybe what could happen to anyone who acts like that.
I was missing, as always, Collin's POV.
The very nice and well deserved ending.

Oh my sweet new adult loving heart- I was not expecting for this to grab me as much as it did. I’m new to the fabulous Rae Kennedy- but I’m now one-clicking everything I can get my hands on, because this was quite a treat.

On the surface, there seems to be a lot going on here- we have a coming of age/virginal heroine trope with the rockstar theme and some fake dating tropes as the cherry on top. But- it comes together nicely to be what the heart of this story is-a lost young girl trying to figure out who she is and who she wants to be, discovering herself while she’s simultaneously discovering her first love- in the midst of unusual and unexpected circumstances.

Our heroine Gracie (Gray) is at a juncture in her life when she’s lost- she’s buckled to stress in college and lost the spot in a prestigious summer program she worked so hard for. A chance meeting at a wedding leads her to crossing paths with an up and coming band- and sweet Logan from the band invites her on tour. Throwing caution to the wind and doubling down on reckless decisions, Gracie decides to go, ending up with a bunch of strangers in a totally different world than her own. I love when authors explore the theme of young love - something so natural and universal- through the lens of circumstances that are unusual and uncommon- here, the rockstar tour world. This only shines a light on the beautiful simplicity that is young love- the juxtaposition making it all the more pure, endearing, and intimate.

What sold me on this story is the fantastic romantic chemistry between Gray and Colin, a member of the band that she forms a fake, but ultimately very real, relationship with as she explores many firsts and who encourages her on her adventure to do list. From the first meeting- the pull is magnetic- there is an emotional, physical, and spiritual longing between these two that permeates every interaction, ever word. It’s spell binding.

Gracie comes across as young and naive, even though she’s in college, but this didn’t really bother me- because she IS naive, she’s lost- and I loved watching her evolve and get more comfortable in herself, in who she wanted to be, as the story evolved. I found her endearing. And Colin, DEAR LORD, I’m a puddle on the floor for him. He both encompasses and rebukes every rockstar stereotype there is- he’s broody and delicious, but he’s also so sensitive, so careful and attentive with Gracie, my heart skipped several beats during any romantic scene between them. The relationship starts as a slow build and then it EXPLODES. And my goodness- these are some of the sweetest, hottest, most heart stopping sensual scenes I’ve read lately. If you love an experienced guy teaching an innocent girl the ropes, and doing it in a dirty talking but so incredibly tender and compassionate way- get this book. My kindle was fogging up at the same time my heart was squeezing with adorableness. Rae really nails these moments- cementing the physical chemistry that builds on and enriches the emotional connection she’s already created. From page one until the end, the yearning between these two, the deep and poetic connection that is as sweet as the harmony of a song and as fierce as a drum solo just LIGHTS up the page. It is beautiful and intimate, sensual and passionate.

The secondary characters are also great- each member of the Wicked Road band having their own connection with Gray/Gracie, and we have a great crass, comical best friend in Kyla. I loved getting their dynamics with Gracie (the story is all in her POV) as well as watching their interactions as a band family. Bonus points because there is some nice poetry and beautiful songs that I genuinely want to hear- very soulful and emotional and not overly cheesy like I often see in rockstar books with song lyrics.

The only thing I didn't love was the rapidness of the conclusion- I don’t love the whole “push-away-to-protect-you” trope in general, and here it is pretty jarring in both impact and then how quickly our characters recover from it. But, at that point, I was just so in love with Gray and Colin, that I didn't care that there wasn’t more groveling and emotional unpacking, I just wanted them to have their forever- to be each other’s lasts. What a surprisingly charming and addictive read- check out Rae if you haven’t! (4.5 stars overall)

If you asked me to describe 'To Be Your Last' with one song, it would 1000% be 'Shallow' from A Star Is Born. They are in no way the same story, but there are similarities, and the minute I began to feel the chemistry between the main characters, Gracie and Colin, I couldn’t stop humming this song.

Gracie’s life is a bit of a mess. She lost her spot on the summer research fellowship due to poor grades, her sister is getting married and is succeeding in life, and she's suffering from a bad case of small-town suffocation with a desire to seek out more.

Luckily for her, Logan, the guitarist from the American alternative band ‘Wicked Road, ‘ overhears her telling her friend Kyla that she wants to run away and suggests she goes on tour with them.

Kyla thinks Gracie is crazy if she doesn’t take Logan up on the offer!

“Just imagine what any one of those guys could teach you. I bet they're really good at eating pussy” “Kyla! Oh my god!”
“What I bet they are.”

Ready to run away from the lies, expectations, and her good-girl persona Gracie decides to go, and it doesn’t take long for sparks to fly between her and lead singer Colin.

Colin was my favorite character, and boy, do I want more. He comes across as a bit harsh and rough at first, but once you get to know him, you'll fall in love. He’s talented, considerate, has amazing life advice, and is protective over Gracie in a non-overbearing sort of way. And FYI, any guy who brings you M&M’s and ibuprofen when you have your period or offers to show you how to get yourself off because you’ve never had an orgasm is most definitely a keeper!

Well, I did *not* expect to enjoy Gracie’s story as much as I did! I wasn’t sure how it was going to go because we don’t really know or see much about her in the previous book aside from being Court’s 18-yo sister who’s graduating HS and is miserably wading through the trenches of HS gossip warfare. They seemed to have a semi-close relationship, which was nice, but I did love seeing her relationship with Kyla. I’m so glad that we got more snippets of their interactions here, even if it was just through text. Kyla is like the overenthusiastic puppy to Gracie’s much calmer cool-cat.

I am so glad that there didn’t end up being a love triangle of any kind, even though it was *kind of* hinted at in the synopsis of this book. I’m glad that Gracie wasn’t like her sister Court who led on multiple men on only to crush them not long after. It was so interesting to see this very naive and shy young woman go on tour with this band who she doesn’t even know at all—it’s either very gutsy or very stupid, probably both. Thankfully, the guys in the band were incredibly wholesome, even with all their partying, drinking, and drug taking.

Overall though, this was surprisingly my favourite of the series!

Gracie is home on the farm for her older sister’s wedding. It turns out the best man is friends with the guys in the hotties rising indie band out right now. Now they are playing here at her sister's wedding.

She wishes she could be more excited, but when her family finds out she bombed out of her first year of college. That she may lose my scholarship and she did get kicked out of her summer intensive program. They will be unhappy.

She has always felt the pressure to measure up being the youngest of five. The best student, cheerleader, and daughter. Being away from home where she was the big fish little pond, well you get it.

When she first makes some serious eye contact with the lead singer who made it feel like he was singing to her. Then, meeting the guitarist Logan who was free a free spirit. And he hears her talking about wanting to travel. He proceeds to invite her on their music tour across the United States.

So, at nineteen, to put off telling her parents she sort of runs away. She meets up with Logan, his twin Dean, and Joey. Who are all happy to have her along. The one holds out is the one she thought she had a connection with, Colin. He is in no uncertain terms saying, no. He loses this round.

This turns into summer she will never forget. Kennedy has well thought out characters, made for sheer fun. But don’t let it fool you this little book can touch in someplace that you aren’t prepared for. But she takes you through but brings the characters back around. She didn’t allow Gracie to be a victim of circumstances.

5 Stars for this brooding rockstar and his muse!

I don't quite know what I was expecting from this book, but WOW ... it was funny, heartbreaking and steamy ... I LOVED it! I could just feel the electricity between Gracie and Colin. I normally like books with a dual POV and this one is just from Gracie's POV, leaving Colin's thoughts a mystery and it totally worked! Colin started out being a real jerk, but he ended up being a total sweetheart with a protective nature. Gracie was a little immature, but I guess that comes along with being a 19-year old virgin. All the characters were well thought out and loveable ... I sure hope they all get a book!

Gracie, the perfect student, is failing at college and decides to run away from it all. When the band at her sister's wedding offer for her to tag along with them for the summer while they're on tour, Gracie jumps at the chance. Gracie has an instant attraction to the band's brooding singer, Colin. Colin, being overprotective, offers to be Gracie's boyfriend, so guys will stop hitting on her ... the only problem is that somewhere along the line it stopped being fake.

This book just ended way to soon for me, I really wanted more of Colin and Gracie and more of the band because there are definitely stories there ... as rockstar books are my favorite! This is the first book I have read by this author ... and it won't be my last!

I haven't read the first two books in this series, which is a shame if this one is anything to go by. To be your last is a second chance romance, sort of. I say sort of because, although this is the story of two people who have been together, split up and then get the chance to try again, most of the action in this book takes place in the before of their initial relationship. I think that it was perhaps this that made me enjoy it so much.
I particularly liked both the hero and heroine. The story is told from the heroine, Grace's point of view. She is taking risks and trying things that she has never done before, it's this which leads to her being on the road touring with a rock band and meeting and falling for Colin, the lead singer. Colin is a fantastic character. He's not perfect, but when it comes to a moody lead male who actually has a heart of gold, he does come pretty close. It's not hard to see why Grace falls for him so quickly and completely.
I really enjoyed this book and I have to admit that I was sneaking glances at the odd chapter when I should have been doing something else. I loved this book and I'd really like to read more in this series or by this author.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

To Be Your Last is the third book in Rae Kennedy’s To Be Yours series. Each book can be read as a standalone, no need to read the previous books to understand the plot of any of the books. I enjoyed this book quite a lot. The story follows the main character Gracie as she runs away from home and joins an up and coming band on their summer tour. She starts a fake relationship with one of the band members. What starts off as a setup, immediately turns to something more as both of them want more, but almost won’t allow each other to have more of each other, ultimately ending in heartbreak.

I didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. It started off slow, but picked up towards the middle all the way to the end. The writing was cheesy at times, but got better. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. It was palpable. The sex scenes were steamy and the romance was just as intense. I wished there was more. This book was rather short. I thought the end came abruptly. I would’ve liked an epilogue just so we could get a full story between these two.

All in all, this book was enjoyable. I’m curious to read Rae Kennedy’s other stories and may even think about reading this whole series.

To Be Your Last is book 3 in Rae Kennedy’s To Be Yours Series that can be read as a standlone. It is a NA/romance that made for the perfect book to finish off the summer season. Perfect Gracie Gallagher decides to throw caution to the wind and embark on a summer music tour with the 4 male members of a band. Throughout the book you are living Gracie’s life and experiencing new things. She even starts a “fuck it” list of all the things she wants to accomplish. You can’t help but root for Gracie and help her find herself on this journey.

The book has multiple romance tropes including fake relationship, road trip and of course my fav lately; rockstar! Rae Kennedy weaves it all together seamlessly. Outside of romance she also creates a great story of friendship between the band members, Gracie and her bestie Kyla.

Lastly and most importantly was Colin’s character. He is the epitome of a hot rockstar with dark hair, mesmerizing eyes, tattooed body and the desire to protect Gracie from his world. His love and desire for her is deep; and of course hot and steamy. Their relationship kind of gave me “A Star is Born” vibe with their relationship, song writing and travelling together.

Definite 4.5 star read on this one.

Things I Liked:
-This book helped me realize that I am a sucker for a "pretend not to like you" turned lovers romance. I'm not sure if there is an actual term for when the guy pretends not to be interested when he is actually very interested, but I love it!
-The strong, tough, & protective (but sweet & cuddly with his girl) nature of Colin was *chef's kiss*. I'm a suck for this type of male lead in books.
-I thought that the author did a great job of displaying friendships. Gracie's friendships with the band members was so important & really sweet. I loved those platonic relationships just as much as the romantic one in this book.
-The author's writing style really helps the reader connect to the feelings of the characters.
-The angst was just enough to keep me hooked without feeling super frustrated.
-I loved the redemption of Colin & Gracie in the end. <3

Things That Didn't Sit Quite Right With Me:
-NOTHING.

Overall, I loved this book & I gave it 5 stars!

You know your onto a winner when it's 3am and your forcing yourself to stop reading after promising just one more chapter for the last few hours!
This book had everything I love in a romance. Rockstars, first love and secret dating with a bit of drama and heartache thrown in to keep me on my toes.
Gracie is lost. She's due to go back to school yet she's struggled with her previous term and hasn't got the grades to continue as planned. Keeping it a secret has been difficult but she didn't want to cause any tension before her sisters wedding. She is given an out when the band playing at the wedding offer for her to come on tour with them after hearing her situation. Determined to find herself and have a summer of fun she accepts.
I loved Gracie! She's fun determined and spunky. The chemistry between her and the object of her affections is sizzling. He comes off as very intense and grumpy but its all a front to hide his feelings. It was nice to see how much he watched out for and took care of Gracie. My heart broke a little through this book but the ending definitely pieced it back together. A fantastic addition to an awesome series. Can't wait to see what the next one has in store

I have to be honest, I didn't see this amazing story coming whatsoever. Gracie is a naive girl whose life is a tad messy right now as she's lost her summer research fellowship from not making the grades, and she's afraid to tell her parents. Her life takes a new exciting turn when she's at her perfect sister's wedding, the guitarist from the band, Wicked Road, makes her an offer of going on tour with them for the summer after he overhears her saying she needs to run away. And the new journey for Gracie starts. She's a naive girl but wants to actually experience life so she makes a list, which also includes her losing her V card. She really wants lead singer Colin, but he's not about to rush things with her, so bring on the slow burn which had me anxious as their chemistry was truly palpable. This story was fantastic, and I really hope the rest of the guys in the band get their own stories because they really tried to steal the show for me, and every last one of them I fell for. Anyway, that's enough out of me, just hit those one click buttons since I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Every once in a while a romance comes along and rips the rug right out from under me. This is that romance. Hands down, the best romance I've read this year so far!⠀

The angst is so intense and raw that when they finally get together it left me squealing with giddiness!!⠀

I cried, I squealed, I sighed and I LOVED every single word of it! When I finished this (in one sitting I might add) I couldn't stop smiling for a long while because I just loved the romance between the two characters and how it built up to one heck of a crescendo. ⠀

I also absolutely adored how the band interacted with the lead character, Gracie. They were so attentive towards her and became quite protective over her and those relationships were beautiful to read about.⠀

The writing is gorgeous and I am so grateful I came across this otherwise I would be missing out! ⠀

If you love romances involving musicians, road trips and intense angst then PICK THIS UP! Even if you don't, pick it up anyway. ⠀

This is actually book three in the series but can be read as a standalone. You can bet your bottom dollar that I am definitely going to read the rest of the series this instant!
