Haremlit with adult situations If one ignores the scale of the islands versus the sheer number of large animals and just go along with fantasy facts, it's an enjoyable read. No hints yet whether Jonas is stepping up to cover for Ben who is clearly not helping an island with over a hundred and fifty single women eager to be mothers. He clearly has his favorites, despite promises otherwise. I'm thinking the dragonkin women might insist on a new set of games until the next 20 or so are selected, and the queen insists he do his promised duty. A few deer women might also insist. However, if Jonas is making some women happy, that would take the pressure off. Besides, the more pregnant women, the more diverse the gene pool. If Ben brings more critter, er... monster girls home, his not fulfilling his role should become a problem. Five kids out of 150 plus women is a poor growth rate. Oh, right. Fantasy facts. Looking for book 5.
Ok so this one goes on a tangent with ghost ships and potions, and I am sure the author had a lot of fun making it all up. It was a fun read which is all I am looking for in this series, plus I want to read all about him having tons of kids and trying to look after them. The only real problem is the next generation if they are all siblings. Even though the book is called monster girl islands, I was a bit off put when the MC thought of them as monster girls rather than just girls that he cared about, but a minor issue. Also one glaring typo where a boar carcass is called a boat carcass, I hope it tasted good anyway.
This part of the adventure sees Ben heading back to his home island in a new ship. It sees old friends rejoining and lots of action at home (both violence and romance types). A new threat is here to destroy the peace that Been is creating and as the true Draco Rex, Ben meets it head on. A great addition and now to read book 5. Do yourself a favor and start this series if you haven't already and if you have what are you reading this review for. Just read it already!
An interesting story, about a strange group of Islands with different races of women on them, about a man who finds himself on a strange Island full of only women, well he continually finds himself in different situations with them and another group of women from a neighboring Island. It's an interesting story line as long as you don't mind reading about sexual experiences the guy is having, if that's not a problem then go ahead and buy it!
Wicked!!! This one had a great amount of action in it and I loved seeing how the characters (deer like women) from the new island integrated with the Ben's original group. Also, the battle with the invaders in this one was unique, and the strategy to beat them was a cool concept. This title really has me wondering what other creatures, both friendly and dangerous, are lurking on other islands. Really looking forward to book 5 now!
Ben continues to out do himself within each story. The deer women that he saved are brought to the island with the serpent women and a community is created with him as their King. Yet a new evil presents itself, as ghosts from many civilisations past on 3 ships threaten their island. Our hero saves his people and it's time to party and try to re-populate the island. This was a fun read and I am looking forward for more.
Monster girls.. More of the same we love to read. This girls are In peril as usual and the King must save them. No new islands but more new enemies. I expect some more island hopping In the next book. This series is easy Read and fun. Though it is harem, the author tries to give some depth to the secondary characters and love interests. Makes the series fun and I look forward to the next book.
I really didn't see this one coming, a slight paranormal feel to the book. The character progression was interesting and enjoyable. The plotline is obvious but still fluid and that males it enjoyable. I am enjoying this series and am looking forward to the next book.
This was a fantastic story. Rife with all the tropes that make a great story. Including ghost pirates, required sex to creat babies and so much more. All written in a manner that ingroses the reader. With it's awesome writing. I now have to read book five to see what happens next!
If you liked the first books, this one takes up right we’re the last ends. Ben, our hero, is still the man. A new threat is introduced and handed in the manner you would expect. The storyline is entertaining and there’s plenty of action; to relationships are still awkward and overly descriptive, but worth reading.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The action is non-stop, with only moments to catch your breath. The story and characters were intriguing and engaging. I look forward to reading more about these characters and their further adventures. This is definitely worth reading.
Ben the Dragon King is told by the deity the god of that world he must prevail
Ben defeats the orcs on the deer women's island an captures an orc ship an takes all 50 deer women to his island to combine 2 cultures of women into 1 society . And must defeat 3 ghost pirate ships with potions and magic . recommend reading excellent series .
Loved the characters and the plot was very and a good break from the normal bad guys lol. So can't wait and can only guess at what the next tribe of beautiful woman he meets on the next island
Jacobs is truly a magician when it comes to setting a pen to paper,or fingers to keyboard. Each book draws the reader in and makes them feel as though they were in the settings he imagines
Huge fan of the series. It's well written and the plot continues to expand. MC is a bit over powered but he's competent and the girls all have awesome chemistry and personality.
I love this series! There is no end to the possibilities and adventures that this artist could take you on. I look forward to reading many many more books filled with wonderful adventures.
I'm REALLY likingJacobs books! It's sword & sorcery novels for adults. I haven't been disappointed yet! I'm liking the clever solutions he comes up with to beat the bad guy.
The title says it all. I liked the book and the characters. Some parts could be considered a little cheesy real life is like that some times. Plus in some ways is that not what fantasy is?
I really enjoy the episodic nature of this series. Light hearted, definitely relaxing and adventurous. Read from book one or some things won’t make sense.
Good read all around. The action never stops and the sexy times are right behind. I do feel however that part of this book was major filler. Just my 2 cents
