Another great book in this series! You don't need to read the previous books in this series to understand this one, but I highly recommend them.
This book revolves mostly around Ember, who is a tralaeth, half Light Fae and half Dark Fae and whilst her heritage doesn't bother her and her friends, it does have issues with the Courts of the Light and Dark Fae, the Queens of which are definitely ones for Ember to be high alert for!
Typhon, the Father of Dragons, is slowly making his return and is now using his children to create chaos around the whole world, by raising a vicious, blood-thirsty, almost unbeatable horde of vrykos to wreak havoc and fear everywhere! It's up to the Wild Hunt to take them down, but that's not an easy task and Herne and Ember have to use their powers of persuasion to enlist the help of other species in this continuous fight.
At the same time, the Wild Hunt are trying to find ways to stop Typhon from fully emerging and need help from someone who knows more about him and his original capture, but again, not an easy person to track down!
I love how all the different races/species are represented in this series, with fae, shifters, vampires, sorceresses, bone witches and gods from different times and pantheons. This one was fast paced and there were hardly any down times for our main characters, but they still managed to find a bit of happiness here and there when they could. Ember is a great main character - she's independent, yet loves her friends and family without question, is determined, but knows when the time is right to fight or not, is loyal and will do whatever she can to save everyone she can! I love the relationship between her and Herne - it's not one of those quick romances, but a beautiful falling in love type romance!
While this book doesn't necessarily finish on a cliffhanger, it definitely leaves you wanting more to see how the Wild Hunt deals with the next phase of defeating Typhon!
Thank you to Yasmine Galenorn for sending me a copy to read and review.
Dragons and Sword Fights and Royal Politics - Oh My!
Things in Ember’s world are coming to a head. The fey queens are up to no good. The dragons have unleashed undead creatures across the world. And, Ms Ember makes a momentous decision. As usual with this series, this book gave me many laughs, and quite a few moments of breathless dread, The ending was very satisfying, and I appreciate it the pacing. Some of the previous books in the series have rushed a little to the end after the climax. This one walks at a leisurely pace
This one has the gang running from one disaster to another, to antoher, to another, while in the down time talking to all the "heads" of different species into particiapting into a common army to fight the big bad. That is a lot to do and while all of that is going on Ember finally lets Hearne know her answer and realizes that while her life is changing in big ways, she will always have her friends at her back.
Things are really heating up in the battle with the dragon - Typhon and his followers. Ember, Angel & Raven had to go to the underworld and rescue Victor.
So everyone has different tolerance levels for different things and I think I'm just done with Yasmine Galenorn now. The plot of this book was not any worse than the last couple of books (it's just a bunch of side plots braided together to make a "main" plot, not great but it just a library book sooooo). No my breaking point was all the weird thoughts from Ember that popped up in the narrative. Why do I need to be told that the window in Ember's room has a screen on it? Didn't it always? I wasn't worried for her cat before this was SPECIFICALLY mentioned so that I would know that it was safe. Should I be worried now though? Also I would like a show of hands to see how many people refer or even think of their close/ best friends as their platonic close friend or their platonic best friend. Because Ember referred to Angel this way at one specific point and that was the exact point I started skimming. If you enjoyed this good for you, but I have better romance authors and there are even better Yasmine Galenorn series. I'm glad that she's writing what she wants too, but the editing is lacking for me. I don't even know if editing is the right word for it.
The Father of Dragons is waking and as his children come over from the dragon world to earth, Ember, Herne, and the world finds out how deadly they can be. A Shadow Dragon has shown up in Washington and is raining havoc as vrykos run loose, a creature the Wild Hunt has never seen or battled before. Ember also finds herself in the crosshairs of the Fae Queens and having to make a decision brought on by the Queen of the Dark Fae. But all that pales when one of the Wild Hunt is taken into the Shadow world by the Shadow Dragon an it’s up to Ember to go find Viktor and bring him home because if she doesn’t find him, he will be lost in the world of the dead forever.
AUTUMN’S BANE begins the next story arc in the Wild Hunt series and my god, this author just ratchets it up a notch and I was on the edge of my seat all the way to the end. It’s action packed yummy goodness filled with a few twists I didn’t see coming, some revelations that had my jaw drop in shock and by the time I got to the end of the book, I was so anxious for the next book to see where it all goes next. Ms. Galenorn delivers a wild, pulse pounding ride from start to finish and my god, if you haven’t started this series yet, I highly recommend it as it is one of my favorites of hers and she always knocks it out of the park with each book.
This time the Wild Hunt and their allies are about to face a threat so deadly it may just about kill them. The Father of Dragons, Typhon, is waking and his children and allies are entering Earth from their world and the Wild Hunt are up in their arms trying to keep the casualties at bay as they try to figure out how to put Typhon back to sleep and defeat his minions. What I love about this series is how much the main characters grow with each book. Each of the main characters captured a piece of my heart right from the start of the series and I am thrilled at how much they evolve with each of the subsequent books. Ms. Galenron has a knack of creating wildly diverse and captivating characters that make the reader fall in love with them and I am one of her biggest fans. She also has a way of creating worlds that are lush, intriguing, and downright entertaining with each of her series. Each is so vastly different from one another and that right there, has me a major fan of her writing. It isn’t a one trick pony with this author, With Ms. Galenorn, you get worlds that have uniqueness and delight as well as relatability to the readers though without dragons trying to take over the world bit.
AUTUMN’S BANE starts the second story arc of The Wild Hunt series and its one that I am eager to read more of in future books. This series is so amazing and wonderful that I read the books in one sitting. This is an author who knows what works and creates stories that a reader can fall in love with. So get ready for the Father of Dragons to create havoc and be ready for the wild hunt to stop him as AUTUMN’S BANE continues with twists and turns that will leave you breathless. Now all I can ask the author is…. next book please.

I received this book from the author as a gift . I am providing a fair and honest review that is not coerced. Book 13 in the Wild Hunt Series, Autumn's Bane , by Yasmine Galenorn, is a shining example of an amazing writing talent. Typhon, Father of Dragons, is awoken, and is wreaking havoc all across the world with his undead warriors. The Wild Hunt Agency is called in to assist by Cernunnos and Morgana, Herne's father and mother. Along with Herne, the rest of the Wild Hunt ~ fiancee Ember, Viktor, Yutani, Talia, Angel, and Charlie , and pals Raven, an Ante-Fae, and Kipa, band together to hold back the forces of Typhon while searching for the Mother of Dragons. They must also unite the magical Coalitions to work together, which is no easy task. Viktor gets captured and is taken to the Underworld, Ember must rescue him, at peril of being stuck if she tarries too long. Let's not forget those pesky Fae queens, Neve and Saille, who always like to make life interesting for Ember. Want a read that drops you into a book and makes you feel as if you're a character, and living the mystical and magical adventures ? Then I highly suggest this series to you.
The Wild Hunt is back and things are about to happen.
The Father of Dragon is awakening and employing zombie-like beings wreaking havoc all over. Unlikely alliances are being made and Fae Queens have their own agendas. On top of that Ember has made a decision that will not just change her life but her being all together. And that’s just the beginning.
Autumn’s Bane is fast paced, hits you hard from the get go, only slows down for just the right moments reminding the characters just why they are doing what it is that they do. Ms. Galenorn’s equine style of writing is creative and entertaining. The author always brings a very diverse cast of characters and beings into her worlds. Allowing a character for all readers to relate. Ember and crew brave the bad for the good of all. Autumn’s Bane is fast and exciting. I very much enjoyed riding along on this trilling ride.
A copy of this title was provided for an honest review. Receiving a complimentary copy of this book does not reflect my opinion of this work.
Continuing the story arc of Ember’s adventures with the Wild Hunt, as Viktor is finally engaged and Ember accepts Herne’s proposal. Note this is Book 14 in a series and is not an appropriate place to start the series. Start with ‘The Silver Stag’ and continue from there. The vrykos are sent by Typhon to kill and terrorize all over the world. The two Fae courts are urged to form an alliance against their common enemy, which they do but with unwelcome conditions. The shifters, cryptos, and vampires are asked for help. The Wild Hunt, plus Raven and other allies, are called into the fight against vykros as their fight against monsters continues with even more deadly foes. Ember worries about a threat to her life from a vengeful Saílle. Gyell abducts Viktor, so Ember, Angel, and Raven go to the Underworld to rescue him. They don’t return unscathed. There is finally a ray of hope as Echidna is located and agrees to help.
I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from the author, without any obligation. I am providing an honest review.
I love Ms. Galenorn's series for her fantasy world building and this is one series that does not disappoint. I love how you find a society in which you can see all kinds of species (fae, weres, vampires, cryptos etc.) and it is very flawed, just like the human society, because many species are at odds.
This book in particular is very fast paced. We are approaching a big event in the series and this book lays out some of the biggest twists before the big battle with the big bad... Guy. Let's just call it a guy. The synopsis mentions Ember's friend being captured, but that is far from all the butt-kicking adventures Ember goes through.
I'll stop here because I can barely contain myself from giving spoilers. Get the series, it's worth it.
I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from author without obligation. I am providing an honest review. This latest installment of the Wild Hunt series had so much going on. Wedding bells are ringing, dragons are on the rise, and the dead. We learn more about the dragons and how fractured their world is too due to everything that is going on. I dont want to spoil anything so I will keep this short. The book ends but you are left wondering what is going to happen in the next book. I want to know if we are going to be seeing a war break out next or if there will be more building up to it. I want more build up but I also just want to know how this will turn out for all of our characters! This is the 13th book in the series. I feel like the next one will be juicy.
This can’t possibly be book 13 already?! Once again, I got sucked in to the story, and before I knew it, it was over. IMO- that’s the mark of a great author.
Typhon is rising, and his children are wreaking havoc around the world. Ember and the Wild Hunt crew must do their best to keep the world intact. The crew begins the search for a solution, and a method to fight Typhon.
There’s a bunch of things happening in this one, and I don’t want to give away any spoilers. So I’ll just say that this book was awesome! I’m dying to know what happens next!
I received this book as an advance reader copy as a gift from the author without obligation. This review is my honest opinion.
Wow, from the moment that you start reading you are swept away into this thrilling story. It is non-stop and keeps you on the edge of your seat as you have to keep reading to see what is going to happen. It moves along at an amazing pace. You cannot help but fall in love with these characters and you want to see them succeed, no mater what happens. The story keeps your interest from beginning to end and there is no putting this book down till the end. It has to be read, you will not be sorry that you did. I cant wait to see what happens next in the next book. This was an amazing read.
This series keeps getting better and better. There are a few engagements, a kidnapping, a parlay, and of course, the dragons. The Wild Hunt has their hands full with what the dragons are throwing out at the city but it is not just Seattle anymore but most of the world. Ember and the gang are doing what they can but they need to find out how to fight the dragons and their minions and still go about their daily lives. I could not put this book until the end. Just that god but I expect nothing else of Yasmine Galenorn
Autumn's Bane begins the next story arc in the Wild Hunt series and my god, this author just ratchets it up a notch and I was on the edge of my seat all the way to the end. Autumn's Bane starts the second story arc of The Wild Hunt series and its one that I am eager to read more of in future books. This series is so amazing and wonderful that I read the books in one sitting. This book met and exceeded all my expectations set from her previous novels. I eagerly anticipate the next book in the series.
Ember and crew are getting a glimpse of what they are going to be up against with Typhon. Its not going to be an easy fight. I really cant wait to see what happens. This series is such a fast paced wild ride. I love how the Wild Hunt is coming together. All the characters are coming together and we are getting to know them better. I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
We are moving on in this series and my heart is in my mouth. I'm worried about all these characters that I have grown to love. I just want them safe and happy!! Lol!! As real life changes and we grow into these changes so too do Ember and Angel. Typhoon continues to be a major threat and the monsters he can unleash get scarier and scarier. I read this book in one go and I loved it.
OK, I’m not very well-versed in writing reviews, but I will do my best. I’ve been enjoying the series by Yasmin, Galenorn. Autumn’s Bane, book # 13, is full of action, and great deal of challenges interspersed with snippets of joy. I do not want to post spoilers but we’ll see that this book does a good job of continuing to grow the storylines from each of the previous books. A gentle highlight is that I am enjoying the growing relationship between Ember and her uncle.
Another magnificent adventure from Yasmine Galenorn
Once again I have fallen under the spell of Ember and the WildHunt. This is a series of books that keep getting better and better with each chapter. There is Magick ,Dragons, and all kinds of creatures that come out to play. I love learning about the different realms and deities and growing with Ember as she moves through each new day.
I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from the author without obligation. I am providing an honest review. This was an incredible rush of action and I finished the book in a day. Characters and situations written masterfully and a joy to finish. A few surprises along the way which makes me wish for the next few books now!
I love the characters, I love the stories. I cannot wait for the next book. There is an eloquence in Yasmine's writing that touches my soul. This series just keeps getting better and better. No spoilers. Just a suggestion, read this series, then read Yasmine's other series. You will be be touched by magic of you do.
I loved this installment of the series just as much as the others. As always, I love seeing the growth in the characters from book to book, dealing with new threats, working through tough decisions. This time the action is ramping up and Ember and the gang have just scratched the surface of the fight to come. It’s sexy, it’s action packed, it’s exciting and suspenseful. I love escaping into this world over and over. Can’t wait to dive back in.
This was another fantastic book in the Wild Hunt series by Yasmine Galenorn. I love that we got to learn more about Yutani’s background in this book. As usual, the plot was very suspenseful. I couldn’t put the book down! I loved that we got to see a lot of the minor characters in this book. The ending completely surprised me. I cannot wait for the next book!
The author really twists and turns in this one. The team is still dealing with power hungry forces but there's also Fae manipulation going on too. Then one of their own is snatched and the girls have to step up to recover him. It's an intriguing blend of family drama & dangerous encounters.
This book was better than the last! Lots of action, but new and creative situations. I love the development of all the different people. Everyone is growing and changing. I cannot wait for the next book already.
I absolutely love this series 😍, I already finished Autumn's Bane and I can't wait to read what comes next. I won't spoil anything but if you love adventure, fantasy and romance, then this is definitely athe book for you
This book was fast paced and kept my interest throughout. It is part of the series so I definitely suggest starting with book one so you can get to know the characters. It has danger, fae, shifters, dragons, Gods and Goddesses what more can you ask for?
This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions but for the best reasons. I have to jump head first and hang on tight as Ember makes some much awaited choices and absolutely some realizations. I can't wait for the next book!!
