I thought I’d get a break. Maybe catch some R&R. Boy, was I wrong. My best friend is still MIA. My foe turned friend—Inarus—is safe, maybe. Though he’s anything but sound. And now Melody, my Harpy gal pal—is missing, leaving behind a trail of blood like some macabre Hansel and Gretel.
I’m still trying to figure out how to balance being a mercenary, and the mate of the Alpha of Pacific Northwest Pack, and the cherry on the flipping sundae that is my life, is a string of attacks against the Pack’s Clan houses.
Something is off about these attacks. The assailants are hopped up on Harpy blood.
And I don’t know about you, but I don’t believe in coincidences. Someone kidnapped Melody and they’re using her to go after the Pack. I’ll give you three guesses who it is, but you’ll only need one. The HAC is behind everything, and my mother is behind them. It’s the fight I always knew was coming, but this time only one of us will survive.
I'm just a girl with an obsession for Marvel movies, a love of all things Urban Fantasy, and a cheerleader for the underdog in any given story.
If you're looking for a heroine you can root for ... someone who defies the odds and gets up every time they're knocked down ... then look no further because that's what you'll find in my books.
I hope you'll join me in Aria Naveed's adventures. She's pretty badass if I do say so myself.
THE BLOOD AND MAGIC SERIES Cursed by Fire -- Out Now Kissed by Fire -- Out Now Burned by Fire -- Out Now Branded by Fire -- Out Now Consumed by Fire --Out Now Forged by Fire -- Out Now
I love the series. But this last book felt rushed. What happened to James? Did the ceremony occur? Did the pack dynamic change? What about Declan’s rival? I have so many questions. I binge read them all within a week.
Boy, oh boy! Tons of surprises in this installment! Lots of action, suspense, and romance. Topped with Ari’s usual snark had me racing to the end. And what an end!!
Not sure if I’m happy with this book. I’m happy with how her mother was handled. I’m extremely unhappy with how Inarus was dealt with and feel like her should get a HEA which means he needs his own book and then a cross over of some sort where they are friends again and back in each other’s lives. The ending was abrupt and left questions. How did Declan know and Mel know but not her. They should have explained that. Plus what happened to James. He is her bestie and it’s like he dropped off the planet. Plus I don’t like Robert is he still slimy has he won her over or does he seem to be in a more subterfuge state of planing more things.
The conclusion to this series was everything I expected and more. Besides thinking as aria as my bff and watching her grow thru the series I’ve also watched this author grow. I look forward to reading her next series! She surprised me in this last book and I’m so crazy that I rarely get surprised! Thank you Danielle for an amazing series!
I can't give these short little books more than 3 stars. I don't understand why this book and the last book weren't just combined into one. 100 some page books are super annoying.
Forged by Fire picks up where Consumed by Fire left us with that big cliffhanger with Inarus still in a coma. James is nowhere to be seen. He has been missing for a while now and no one seems to know where he is or if he is ok. Where oh where is James? Is he safe? Is he alive? Oh, oh so many more questions were left unanswered in Forged by Fire. But not to worry a lot was answered though.
In Forged by Fire, Inarus comes out of his coma with Aria’s help. Aria’s friend Melody is missing and the crime scene is a bloody mess. What happened to Melody? Where is Melody? Not to worry everyone knows who took Melody and why. It was Aria’s mother the head of the HAC.
The HAC is attacking the packs. Aria’s mother doesn’t like the fact that she has magic and wants to destroy her and her magic. Aria is preparing for the battle of her life against her mother and the HAC in hopes of stopping her from taking Aria’s life and hopefully it is not too late to save Melody.
I have truly enjoyed the Blood & Magic series and am so sad to see that it is ending. I fell in love with the Blood & Magic series and its characters in the first book Cursed by Fire. I loved Aria’s snarkiness. I was team James in the beginning and really hated that she bonded with Declan but I will have to admit that Declan grew on me and now I am glad they are together besides if Aria is happy then I am happy for her.
All the books in the Blood & Magic series had its share of suspense and magic with battle after battle that kept the heat up and the pages turning, leaving you with cliffhanger after cliffhanger which left you wanting more and more, needing more and more. I really love that the Blood & Magic world has vampires, shifter, witches plus lots more paranormal creatures and humans and they all live in the same world. I like that the humans know about all the paranormal creatures. I can’t wait to dive into more books by Danielle Annett.
I highly recommend Forged by Fired to all fans of paranormal creatures. One-click your copy of this brilliant novel, Forged by Fire today! But I do suggest that you start with the first book in the Blood & Magic series, Cursed by Fire first as they are not standalone.
Exciting, unusual, and everything else you can think of. This book was spellbinding. Aria and Declan have their work cut out for them in becoming mates within the pack. Aria even has the problem that her mom can not except her having any powers. She will try everything to make Aria a complete human, not knowing that it would kill her daughter she wants so much.
Loved this series and putting it in my Keepers collection. The author ties things up brilliantly. I always want more destruction and bad guys decimated but I was pleased with how this ended, just sad to see it end. Loved these characters. Wouldn't mind seeing how Caden turns out.
HAC starts attacking shifter clans. Inarus still in medical coma until Aria brings him out. Her harpy friend Mel is kidnapped. The shifters organize an attack on HAC. Aria's Mom takes away her telekinesis. Inarus saves Aria and kills her mother, and his sister saves Mel.
A decent book and series. This one ends very abruptly, which is weird for a series ending, but whatever. I liked it even though the main character is kinda dumb and while she thinks she’s tough she makes the same mistakes book-after book. I can’t say I loved this book or series, more that I enjoyed parts of it enough to want to know the ending.
But as with the books in the series, this was very fast and full of action. I love the epilogue and wouldn't have minded a second epilogue but Aria got her HEA
This series has it all! Great heroine with multiple love interests and a great cast of characters. Lots of Adventure/Action that makes your heart pound and I highly recommend it!
A Fun series that will keep you entertained. There’s some repetitive lines but overall a fun quick series. The Alpha is bad a$$! The heroine have a lot of issues to work through but can hold her own for the most part.
The main storyline was fun and action packed. Numerous editing issues along the way but I can overlook those. There seemed to be a lack in consistency from one book to the next. I seem to remember a tattoo blade appearing in the first book? I don't remember it present again. Also, the world building was secondary and was not fully developed. A post awakening where law enforcement is not in place but she uses Google is an example. I liked the main characters and the main story arc. I enjoyed the series.
