Alright so this was definitely my favorite book out of the series.

It's short though so things seemed more rushed compared to the books I read at like 600 pages lol.

There was a stronger plot in this book and more action, we got all the answers to the questions we had in the previous book.

We got more steamy time, though however sometimes they honestly were little random and shorter than what I prefer but at least we got more.

That scene between Pitch, Vina, and Jonah towards the end? Yessssssssss haha some nice steam to end it off lol.

I also cried a bit too in this last book, so yay for the author making her way into my emotions.

Overall it was a good book and I will definitely be reading the *sister series* pretty soon:)

** Shadowborn prison (Dark fae academy 4)
** Shadowborn Royals (Dark fae academy 5)
**Shadowborn Queen (Dark fae academy 6)

Year Three was a great ending to this series. On one hand when you read these great stories, and you know they are coming to an end, you need answers but you know it's the end. I was really needing to find out what happens next. There was some confusion for me on a few parts, and it just seems to all of a sudden be the battle. I would have liked to have a better lead up, but that is personal preference. Still did not take away from the story or the pace.

But I really love G. Bailey and I am a huge fan of Scarlett Snow, so these two together are always good. I would highly recommend either of these authors.

Year Three is the third and final book in the Dark Fae Academy series. Picking up right where the previous book left off, Vina's life takes another drastic turn. With evil family members, Titans freed from their cages, and the world on the brink of war, Vina is in for one crazy ride.

This world is an interesting and complex albeit slightly confusing blend of mythologies focusing on the fae and ancient gods. There are a mix of creatures, familiar and new that make the story really interesting. My favorite, Echo, is absolutely adorable and hilarious!

Vina really takes control of her future in this book and masters her powers, finally finding a balance between her light and dark fae heritage and her life as a shadow born. And with the help of her guys (Zander, Gage, Pitch, and Jonah) and some friends, she is ready to take on her evil sister and the Titans she has unleashed on the world.

This story is full of love and sacrifice that paves the way to the HEA we've all been waiting for. The only thing I wish was added is a little more one on one time between Vina and her guys. We don't get a ton of emotional relationship development (mostly just physical- which hey I'm not complaining) which I would like to see a bit more of.

Gem is famous for her blending of different stories, weaving together different arcs and characters to make very intricate plots. And we get a glimpse of that here with Vina and Izora's stories coming together. The end of this book also hints at another series based in this world but focused on the dragons which sounds great! And I'm also hoping for some kind of Ambrose spin off!

All together I would say Gem and Scarlett's first finished series together was quite a success! I look forward to reading more cowrites of their's in the future.

Romance: 4.5/5
Heat: 4/5
Relationship Type: Reverse Harem
Drama: 3.5-4/5
Suspense: 3.5-4/5
Dark(?): 1.5-2ish/5, List as Dark Lite. :)

No Spoilers :)

This book is a Trilogy, please read in order.
I really like this book, is sad to see that it’s over cause I like a lot of the characters within it. I couldn’t fully give this book a 4.5 nor a 5 Star, cause even though it was paced fairly well but subtly rushed, it is much shorter than I was anticipating. I also with a little bit more one on one scenes with Corvina, just to savor not just intimately but just better view of her relationship with each character, but thats just me Lol.
But the story is very good 😊

Love this universe

Shadowborn Academy Year three concludes the first trilogy and Corvina's arc in this universe. And what an amazing universe it is. This final book is actionpacked and barely gave me time to look up at my kids, because I was so engrossed in the story. I loved it so much!

Wasn’t a massive fan of the first 2 books, but I liked the idea of the story enough to push through. However, with the final book I was very close to leaving it unfinished. The writing felt underdeveloped and rushed. It was major event after major event with little to no build up and random sex scenes sprinkled in. Also, the book contains errors that distract from the enjoyment of reading the book. Small errors are expected, but multiple times I had to stop and reread sections to understand what was trying to be said.

Overall, this book left me unsatisfied. The story needs to be fleshed out and the pacing needs to be improved.

I have conflicting feelings on this book. I obviously enjoyed the story but like in my last review, the story felt rushed. In the second book, the beginning was going great with the buildup and all. It then changed and started feeling rushed until the very end. Now in this third book, the story felt rushed from the very beginning. I was having a hard time finding a connection with the characters in their love life. It went on like that until the end. There was even some holes and conflicts in the plot.

I was planning on rating this with 3 1/2 - 4 stars, mainly because I did not like the lack of connection and how rushed the story felt. It seemed like there was moments where Vina was going through a life or death moment or being distraught over something and in a blink of an eye she was ready to jump in bed with the first of her mates that would look in her direction or simply place an finger on her skin. Once that happend, all the she was just feeling was forgotten with no second thoughts. The story then would skip to the following day, emphasizing how easily those moments were out of mind for her. Um, weren't they suppose to be very important issues? Weren't they suppose to stress a little more on something that can be devastating? I don't know about anyone else but, for me, that caused me to skim over the sexy scenes even more because I had just invested in the feeling of doom or sadness and was not ready for the hot and heavy.

The epilogue convinced me to go for a solid 4 star rating. It carried in it the buildup that we should have seen throughout the whole book. It was also the first part of the book that did not feel rushed and helped me feel connected to the characters and their relationship. I would have preferred that buildup and the lack of rushing from start to finish, though. But the epilogue did open up some doors to future series..maybe. Not sure if I want to invest my time on those, yet.

Apart from all those big issues I had with the book, I really did enjoy the story. I might not continue on with more of the stories connected to this world, but it was still entertaining and earned its fair share of stars.

2.5 🌟 the adventure, mystery and fantasy world building could not save my growing dislike for the heroine over the series.

She's passionate and... let's go with 'brave'. But she doesn't think. I don't know how to take her seriously or find her admirable. And she's supposed to be so powerful, with three types of magic and whatever blessings and whatever else, yet you don't really see that in action of the story. She doesn't often fight or fight back, despite how vehemently she may speak about kicking someone's ass or killing them. The scene where she finally fights Eva felt oddly dragged out (and the h wanted a "fair fight" I have no idea). And then the battle is just over (someone else does something), but she's having to fight herself (kind of) to not be consumed by a powerful magic that she borrowed.

I'm all for heroines who lean on and accept support and help from others, especially those who love them. In this book, other characters are stating how brave, badass, amazing, and powerful she is, but as a reader I did not feel like I witnessed that.

I get her being naive in book 1. The way she was raised, etc. She only had the opportunity to learn so much, and she thought that she was a human turned Shadowborn. Book 2 highlights a bunch of what she doesn't know, particularly of the Fae people, kingdoms, lands, history. But never an indication of her seeking knowledge or to understand what she doesn't know. Despite proclaiming that she'll be a future queen and ruler of these lands. She admittedly never has a plan or a clue what she is doing. But she also doesn't seek experience or advice from others. I ended book 2 rating her as TSTL. There was no growth or development for her IMO (or really any of the characters, sadly). So, in book 3, she is still stupidly (bravely?) running into danger, getting beat up by the same pair from book 2, does not physically or magically fight to prevent Eva's evil plot, and then a bunch of times where someone is saving her or her mates so they get HEA at the end.

Ahh! What a fantastic ending to this phenomenal series! This world Bailey and Snow created was truly magical, I couldn't get enough. This was a bittersweet read for me! I was dying to read it because these two don't disappoint. But I also never wanted it to end! I love these characters so much and devoured the pages too quickly! Once I started I couldn't quit, every word just comes to life. There is no book that comes to life quite like this one, it's enchanting. Oh, what I would give to have this as a mini-series. Vina and her family have imprinted on my heart! This book was just as refreshing and action-packed as the first two, it was also deliciously steamy! There are some great laughs, Vina's dialogue it the best and Echo is the pet you wish for! War is coming and it won't be easy for our girl! Secrets, surprise twists, and tears, oh I freaking cried like a baby at one point in this book! I was so not expecting that! The guys have really pulled together so flawlessly for Vina. I loved them so hard they are truly the best harem! I have to say with the last few chapters of this book I'm totally looking forward to what's next for Izora and Ambrose! Even though this is the ending of Shadowborn Academy I feel like we will get some guest appearances in the books that are coming for Izora and Ambrose! Fingers crossed. So much to look forward to! I will never tire of this fantastic world of the light and dark Fae this duo has created, If you haven't read Shadowborn Prison I highly recommend it! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

The Titans are here, to aid her crazy sister and cold hearted mother whilst her father lays cold upon the ground.

With the help of her friends Corvina must turn the tide and restore the balance.

Can she overcome the evil that is rife in her world, or will she succumb to the sweetness of such power.

Wowsers what a fast paced, action packed sweet ending to a fantastic trilogy series!

Corvina was first introduced to us in Shadowborn Academy, where the foundations were laid. Then she gripped our hearts with her transition in shadowborn academy year two and now she's back again.

This series has got a little of everything in it, and this book continues that theme. Theres magic and mayhem, good and evil amidst friends and foe, lovers and haters. What more can you ask for?

Corvina continues to walk the line between the light and dark fae courts, never fully deciding where her true heart lay. My mind kept charging as I read this as to where I thought she truly belonged.

Her guys are all equally delicious and watching them work together harmoniously to create a better world, along with the sexual tension beyween them all drove me wild!

I loved how unpredictable the conclusion was. I didnt see it coming and that to me, the element of surprise is everything.

A magnificent ending to Corvinas story.

Sad to see it end

I really enjoyed driving into this world created by these 2 amazing authors. It was all incredibly unique and creative that it was easy to lose myself into the story they have crafted for their readers. The majority of this book was a long adrenaline fueled and action packed drama with the war started by Vina’s half sister Eva. It never slowed down from chapter 1 until the end of the war.

The few chapters 5 years later gave it a nice slow down period to end Vina’s story. It was like a really long epilogue which allowed for the reader to see how much happiness Vina has managed to find in her life with her 4 men. Then the real epilogue held the promise of another spin off series which has me excited.

I did feel as if this book was too short for everything that happened. Things felt rushed at times. I would have liked for things to have slowed down a little and allowed for more development of Vina’s relationships and I don’t mean physical developments, but more deeper emotional bonding between them all.

This was still a fantastic series that I wish wasn’t over already but I’m excited to finishing reading Izora’s trilogy and the future spinoff with the Lost Princess of Draconia.

I loved it!

Warning: Intended for 18+ readers due to mature themes.

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down, I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This book is Shadowborn Academy Year Three, which is Book 3 of 6 of the Fae Academy series. This is Dark Reverse Harem Paranormal Fae Romance. In this world, not even the shadows can be trusted. Her fate is in the darkness, and the war there is real. Secrets thrive in the Enchanted Forest and one girl must find a way to stop the fae war before it’s too late. With her sister raising titans and gods, the light in her dreams turning out to be a lie, and her men in grave danger, life at the academy has never been this dangerous. A mirror once spoke of a girl born in hate who could stop a war, but does that girl stand a chance against the power of the fae? So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. It’s a must read. I highly recommend to everyone.

The perfect conclusion to an epic series!!!

I didn’t want this to end.

Not gonna lie it felt way to short for me and in some ways rushed but nonetheless it was still a great conclusion to this series!

Filled with action, drama, heartache, loss, redemption it has it all! The world of this book is so entrapping it feels like you are transported into it. Such vivid imagery and detailing it paints a clear picture in your head and it’s just pure magic. That’s really all I can say!

I liked how this brought he story full circle. References to what happened and the characters in the first book which are usually easily forgettable were mentioned and redeemed in this book. Even the smallest character roles were mentioned and that’s not something you see a lot in books which I thought was great. Such a well rounded book.

If you love yourself some magic, fae, gods and a great plot, this book is definitely for you!

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I was so surprised to get this book so soon after book 2! I quickly dive into this story and instantly feel back into this world. Corvina has grown so much since book 1 and I love how she is so loyal to her new future. She's always accepted new things that were thrown at her, which she also did in this final book.

I felt that this book was a bit rushed and too short for my liking, but that didn't say me away from how much I loved this book.

Pitch is still my guy, and his... background was a very interesting reveal!

I have a feeling Ambrose might get his own story?!?! And I'm super excited about the epilogue and what is coming next!

This is a great series and I'm so glad I got the chance to read all 3. G. Bailey is an amazing author - definitely read her books!

I’ve completed the trilogy in a day. And I’m kind of impressed with myself.

The story is well written but connection between the characters doesn’t make sense. As well as the sex scenes in the book.

From the beginning, I only enjoyed the connection between Pitch and Vina. Maybe perhaps with Zander. But not with Gage as well as the other one who I forget his name again.

They started the book real good with the introduction to the new world, Shadowborn. And we have the characters being introduced in the book.

As the story progress, we have romance, betrayals as well as kidnapping and truths. So much and yet they finish it just like that. Especially the part where they’re supposed to fight the Titans.

If we can minus off the must fucked scenes but added some bonding or fight scenes, I think this trilogy will be more lovelier.

3.5 Stars. The writing was good, very few grammatical errors. The plot was well-written and flowed.

Corvina was a strong female lead, and even though she thought everyone was attractive, she kept her wits about her.

My biggest issues were that it was very hard to connect with all the men. There were so few interactions with Gage and Jonah that Corvina’s relationships with them seemed forced on the author’s part. Honestly, if she had left it to just the two men she did talk about the most, Pitch and Zander, the book would have been much better.

Also the bedroom scenes were a little lack luster. There was no foreplay: kissing then he was inside her. Apparently none of these guys were boob men because except for once (very briefly), the waist up got no attention so it was the same scene over and over, just with a different guy.

All-in-all not bad; just not a favorite.

The conclusion to Corvina's story along with Pitch, Jonah, Gage, & Zander. Questions were answered, some questions still lingers, but that's what Izora's spin-off is for (book 1 is out, book 2 is a-coming) & other future spin-offs surrounding the intraworld of the interworld.
Some parts of the story were rushed especially the war, but G is known for her sweetness for her characters, not the gory details. I read most of G Bailey's marvelous books, I could see which chapters she wrote & which chapters Scarlett wrote. I digress, anyways back to the point, the final SA: Year Three was a nice ending to Corvina's & her mates' storyline (I have a feeling it's not the last we hear from them) & I look forward to reading future books from them.

I didn't expect for the 3rd book to be that short. It was too fast-paced, but I still enjoyed it.

What I didn't understand is that Corvina is supposed to be the Dark Fae and Light Fae Queen (it was repeated a lot) but she ends up being the Dark Fae Queen only... It was quite confusing, or maybe I missed something...
Zander was definitely my favorite, but maybe because he appears more than the others in the series? Jonah and Gage were barely here, and I was disappointed about that.

Hopefully some of the unanswered questions in the SBA series will found their answers either in the Shadowborn Prison series or the other series that seems to be mentioned in the epilogue of this book.

I cannot wait to read the other books in this universe created by G. Bailey and Scarlett Snow!

Love, Friendship, Family Turns Into War!!💘🙏💖💥
A 4.5 Star Read 🌟
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)
Shadowborn Academy: Year Three (Dark Fae Academy #3)

This was an emotive, fierce & combustible read!💥 Its energy & pace was on point. The writing & clarity of storyline was so much better than both previous books.🙏 The characters all came into their own, I did feel Sage was underutilized though. The beginning and climax were equally impactful and the epilogues were a wonderful look into all of their future's!😍

Its clear there are to be a couple of different spin offs from this world that I'm sure I'll get to in the future. I found this to be an interesting & enjoyable series.🌟

This being the final book of the series, I would have loved it to be a longer book. At 140 pages, it's more than 50% shorter than the fist book- I literally needed more.

It was a good end to the story albeit rushed. This book was somewhat a surprise, I found myself empathising with characters like Narah and Ivywood which I never would have thought possible in the 2nd book. Corvina has steadily developed over the series causes she's 'Corvina Fucking Charles'.

Pitch shall forever have my heart, I unexpectedly fell hard for him in the 2nd book and he continues to be a scene stealer amongst the other mates. They pale in existence. Strangely, Ambrose is still a mystery but I'm sure he will make an appearance soon in one of G. Bailey's other series.

No.

The war being won by Izora, who is barely in the books but Corvina still calls her "her sister" - how convenient -, MAKES NO SENSE!!! It should have been Corvina.

Also Narah being the big villain in book 2 and then coming back with her tail between her legs 60 pages in the last book... please. I've never seen such powerless characters than in this series.
They're all supposed to be these kick ass amazing powerful beings but they walk to places (how can you have so much power AND WALK), they fight and lose all the time...

And Ronan, what an anti-climactic end!
I won't even talk about Eva, everything about her was a mess.

And that epilogue, are you kidding me?

I'm hugely disappointed by these books.

Boy did this book give me all the feels. I laughed, cried and rejoiced! What a beautiful ending to Corvina and her men. This book starts where book two left off and it was constant action from there to the end. I loved the whole thing, it was a fantastic read. The scenes were hot, exciting and empowering. Corvina is a beautiful character wholeheartedly and her strength and determination make her an amazing character to read. The closure was perfect and I can't wait to find out more about Izora! Beautiful book from start to finish. I literally had to read in one sitting as I couldn't tear myself away! Absolutely riveting!

What an ending!

The third and final installment of this trilogy was everything I hoped for. Corvina is definitely one of my favorite leading characters - I just feel like we would be besties in real life you know? Her guys are awesome and supportive and make me wish I had them in my life. This story wraps up Corvina's story fairly well. Some gain forgiveness, others get just desserts and mainly I just prayed everyone would survive. There were still quite a few secrets that surprised me but were fun to unravel. I loved the glimpse of them all in the future and can't wait to see how Izora's story ties in plus that epilogue.....This series is a must read!

3.5 to 4-stars

I was so torn as I was looking so forward to see what happens in book 3 but was thoroughly confused by the first half of the book. There was so much potential in the lead-up to the war/battle but it just seemed to...skip...right through it and it was the major part of the book.

The second half, or should I really say third gave us a little closure but I'm thinking book 2 of Izzie's book may fill in more of the blanks...unfortunately we still have to wait for it. I have already preordered book 2 and have already preordered Academy of Villains listed at the end of this book as I'm hoping for a possible character cross over...maybe.

This book picks up right where the last book left off. This final book of the series was amazing. So much action. It wasn't all light vs dark. There wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. The emotion poured into the story carried over, and more than once I found myself laughing or crying with Corvina. I could definitely see the potential for a couple spin off series, featuring Ambrose and Draconia. This was a fantastic journey!
I absolutely love reading G Baileys books!! This was one twist after another!! Saying it was Amazing doesn't even do it justice! If you have not grabbed your copy yet, I suggest you go get it!

I honestly enjoyed this series and held off reading it for awhile until there was more. I've given it 3 stars as there seems to be a lot of information not explained, left out and/or rushed.

For example that little insight of King Cyrus having info about Zanders father & half-brother... Where's that conversation in this book? Really that should be in this one.
What about that rushed revealing that Corvina is pregnant and telling her mates?

Also the intimate scenes felt rushed and almost like the authors wanted to get them over with and out of the way? Is that just me feeling that or?

I feel like this ending is very anti-climatic and maybe unfinished?

Ending just fell flat

This series started out so good, but by the end I was just ready for it to be done. I feel like the books were too short to really give the needed relationship development and there were lots of things that were brought up in book 1 that could have actually been used at some point instead of just forgotten about. It’s like oh here’s this really cool thing, but we will make somethingelse come along and hopefully you’ll just forget about that first thing. The ending did set up the ability for more series within this world and though Hades Persephone story sounds intriguing, I don’t know if I want to take the chance of another series like this one

Seemed rushed

This was good enough to keep my interest but overall I was left feeling like it had been rushed. There might be a drawn out fight scene for example only for it to end abruptly with a single sentence wrapping it up neatly. Big battles were completely glossed over. It took the suspense out of things when you wait for them to fight the big bad villains only to have the big bad villains just kinda disappear. And I just had a big problem with how Corvina didn't try to change her mom's mind at all at the end of the battle. I'll leave it at that. Emotionally and for story telling purposes, it felt stunted.
