I read this book yesterday. I wanted to read it before I sent it off to my grandthey, who will graduate from high school in May. So far, they have no far reaching goals, don't drive yet, are extremely intelligent, a little autistic, read feverishly, write just as much, and communicate with their grandmother (me) nearly every day. So, hoping to spur some thought about the future, I am sending them this book.
It looks like a children's book; when you open the cover you see drawings and not much text on each page. But I assure you that Ray Dalio has taken his Principles and made them easy to understand, not giving an inch for age. I have a friend reading the "adult" version now, who says it is DENSE, and a bit of a slog. This book, however, will be easy for anyone to understand and to take to heart and hopefully will end with an understanding of making your way through life and ending up at a successful point. If I'd only had someone help me make goals when I was a young woman! I like to use the excuse that I was born in 1944 and we young women weren't encouraged to do much beyond make a house for our husbands and have babies. But.....goals would have been a good thing.
So we'll see how my grandthey does with these suggestions about her future. I hope they take them to heart. Check this book out. You may be someone, or have someone in your life who could read this quickly and get inspired.
