Wolf shifters are real. And three alphas have claimed me as their mate.

For years, I've been kept prisoner by my uncle, hidden like a piece of trash in the basement of his house. Beaten, broken, and neglected, hated by him for reasons I can't even understand.

But one night on the back roads of rural Montana, I see a chance for escape.

And I take it.

I run.

...straight into the arms of a naked man.

No. Not a man. A wolf.

Ridge, the man with dark hair and honey-colored eyes, is the alpha of the North Pack. I can hardly believe shifters are real, but how can I deny it when I've seen him transform with my own eyes?

I don't trust him. I don't trust anyone. Still, that doesn't change the overwhelming pull I feel toward him. And when the alphas of the East and West Packs step forward and claim me as their mate too, I feel that same desperate urge to claim them back.

But the part that scares me most?

There's only one reason all three of them could form a mate bond with me.

I'm a shifter too.

Fated Magic is the first book in the Claimed by Wolves series, a reverse harem paranormal shifter romance. It contains cursing, violence, growly alpha males, steamy sex, and a heroine who finds her strength in the midst of it all.

The beginning of this book is not bad, many things happened, and the pace is fast. Sable managed to do was escape her uncle, run in the woods until she got lost, and was found by a werewolf. It’s just that I still have no idea where this is going, and the writing is not extraordinary. The dialogues are also weird and cringy.

The insta-lust and insta-trust are what killed it for me. Ridge finds a half-dead girl unconscious in the woods and all he thinks about is how she is a gorgeous princess who should have a knight in shining armor to protect her, how he shouldn’t bring her back home because the pack comes first, but he can’t resist, how he needs to ignore the fact that he is naked while holding her, how she is so magnificent in the moonlight and how she is sexy in her cotton panties.

After waking up and trying to escape because she didn’t know where she was, Sable suddenly feels safe and comforted by the presence of Ridge. He manages to help her during two panic attacks, and she can’t help but feel so safe with him, even though she just escaped from years of abuse. She wakes up in dry clothes and she can’t remember if she put them on or if he dressed her, and she feels all weird because the idea that he might have seen her naked is not that bad, because he is sexy in his own way.

I do not mind the romance, but it all felt rushed and forced, Sable’s thoughts didn’t fit with a traumatized abused girl, and after a fourth of the book I still didn’t care much about her or Ridge…

Oh this book...

Honestly, these Reverse Harem books can go either way when it comes to addictive qualities and this one is solidly in the middle. You can either consume the entire series like a full shareable bowl of popcorn and then sit there and look at the kernels in the bottom and tell yourself it was worth it or you can read just the first one and wonder why you put yourself through this.

This book is somewhere in the middle of those two. I did not feel completely invested in the characters or their stories and I ended up just wondering how it was going to end out of sheer curiosity.

The men were all stereotypes. From the beginning, I wanted the girl to stand up for herself when all these men are "claiming" her (which bothered the hell out of me).

She loses her agency and her ability to make decisions as a character so quickly and it ends in a cliffhanger and I absolutely stopped caring since she had no personal agency.

This was dumb as hell.

I totally knew this book was going to be lame on about 20 different counts, but I got an alert that it was free on Kindle so I downloaded it. Since I've been in a reading slump since June, I thought maybe something dumb and mindless would work? Well no it did not.

The book is so cliche and cringe. Our heroine Sable is the classic abused + traumatized FMC that of course falls into the clutches of werewolves. I only met one of them, named Ridge, (lol) and it was no bueno. There's insta-lust and Ridge can't help but instantly feel like he has to protect Sable and the posturing and alpha-domineering started instantaneously.

I really can't even think about what else to say. It was very clear early on that this was going to be one of those cringey, insta-lust books that I hate, soooo yeah.

I think I'm going to have to start afresh with the books I'm reading because I'm just not excited by what I'm reading now. Anyway, pray for me.

This one was okay but the characters didn't have a lot of depth in my opinion and it made it hard to actually care what happened with them. There were some good possessive moments between the heroes and the heroine which I did enjoy but it wasn't enough to make me love the story.

The insta-lust and insta-trust just didn't work in this for me, given all the heroine had been through/endured her trust when it came to the men was way too fast. Characters didn't have depth and their connection was one I didn't feel.

Plus Dare comes out of now where.

Ends on a cliff-hanger.

When I first started this book, I did not realize it was a reverse harem- I laughed at myself when I realized it about 30% though lol

This book caught my attention right away! I was so interested in who this main character was, her story, how she would fight against her situation. I was not disappointed at all!

Our female lead may appear weak through her fear at first but it is clear that she has inner strength that will carry her. I loved seeing her evolve from someone who was frail and fighting for her life into someone strong and fearless.

Sometimes, in my experience, reverse harems can come off as unbelievable or cheesy. This was not that case for this book! I’ve read other shifter harem books that made me question the male characters- why would an alpha share? How are these territorial wolves sharing their mate? But this book did a great job of showing that it wasn’t easy from the start but it grew.

I cannot wait to see where this series goes and plan to check out more from Callie Rose! 🥰

I have read plenty of books from Callie Rose and she doesn't disappoint! Another great book from her!

This was a slow-burn read that kept me reading on. At the end of the book, I was left feeling, AAHHH...what just happened?!? Where does Sable and her men go from here.

Sable is given a chance where she can feel loved, cherished and protected by four men that show her these affections. She no longer wants to feel those unwanted feelings she received from her uncle while being held captive and abused.

Can't wait for the second book in this series. Great read!!

Fated Magic by Callie Rose is a reverse harem paranormal romance. This is the first book in the Claimed by Wolves Series that will be released on April 30, 2020.

I absolutely love Callie’s books they always leave me begging for more! You can’t help but fall in love with Sable, Ridge, Tryston, Archer, and Dare. The story does end on an amazing cliffhanger that leaves me begging for the next book in the series Broken Bond that will be released later this year.

I would highly recommend this book if you love Reverse Harems or Paranormal Romance.

Well... Idk.
It's better than the most recent Eva Ashwood book I just TRIED to read but, hmm... It's predictable.
I had a feeling she was what she is and that the men that are.supposed to love her would react the way they have...

I'll check out the next book but idk if I will complete the series or not.
Something will have to happen to make me go on but, it's a quick read so, if you have.time to kill, go for it.

i liked this slow burn read, it kept me wanting to read more and more until that fucking end... i regret that i read this so fast, now i have to wait for the next book :(((

OBS SPOILERS!
i have a feeling that the guys will kind of leave her for a while to think about their bond and stuff cuz of the reveal of what she apparently is which is a witch. Archer was abused by witches and Dare pack was attacked by them so both of em have deep scars from the witchs which will be hard for em to accept Sables heritage. Maybe, that´s only my guess. And the other guys Ridge and Trystan is also on not the best terms with the witches. My heart breaks also because of the title of the second book which is titled as "BROKEN BOND" . OMG HOLY HELL , my heart can´t take this. I do have a feeling that Saber is either half wolf and half witch and also a princess maybe. I had my guess that Dare was the fourth Alpha when they met.
I just hope that they will be considerate of Sabers heritage cuz of how vulnerable she is atm

Ok so i'd been wanting to read this for awhile but I put it off because the second book wasnt being released until fall but then the wonderful, amazing Callie Rose shared that the next book would be out in mid July, so I immediately jumped into this and was awake way too late last night reading.

I am a HUGE sucker for anything to do with mating bonds and I'm pretty new to the shifter world but I loved this book so much. Sable is this sad, broken girl who really hasn't even lived at all and she stumbles into the secret world of shifters and somehow ends up finding 4 men who claim to be her mates. While not a lot of action occured in this first book, I actually really liked that it was just setting the groundwork for Sable to get to know herself and her new mates. I have a feeling the second book is going to get CRAZYYYYY.

I loved all four of these men and I actually don't know who my favourite is yet because I love them all so much. Don't even get my started on that god damn CLIFFHANGER holy shitttttttttt I was shocked by that ending.

Loved this! Paranormal can be a tricky read for me, but not with Fated Magic! Callie Rose delivers an exciting, emotional stories that deals with wolves, witches, and humans alike. Even if you don’t find yourself leaning towards PNR, I still recommend this book, as there’s so much more involved!

Sable hasn’t had it easy in life, and that’s an understatement. Things change for her on an empty road, but they really take off when she meets Ridge, Archer, Trystan, and Dare. She gets thrown for a loop, but she still manages to take it all in and move forward.

But that ending though! I’m so excited to see where the story goes and what happens with Sable and the guys. This is a great foundation for a steamy, emotional PNR series!

Out of the frying pan and into, well...

Sable has been abused and kept prisoner by her uncle all her life. When she takes the opportunity to escape, she runs from him into a world she never knew existed.

The story is full of twists and turns and, warning, finishes on a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more!

The characters are believable, and there's enough backstory to make sense, while still leaving enough room to empathise with Sable's complete confusion at what she's found herself in the middle of.

And that cliffhanger? Oh boy, can't wait for the next book!

I received and advance copy of this book, and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So, here I am again! Leaving another raving review for one of Callie's stories. The 5 stars I always give her books are SO well earned. If you are ever in a book hangover, make sure to pick up one of Callie's books, and I guarantee that it will pull our right out of that funk.
&Fated Magic is no exception!

Fated Magic is a reverse harem romance, made up of 4 guys, and 1 girl. Sable, our heroine, has lived a long life of torture by the hands of her Uncle/Guardian. After another one of his punishment's goes too far, they are forced to have to bring Sable to the hospital to be checked over. The entire hospital visit includes Sable's vicious Uncle standing in the room, and watching/listening to every word as she describes the made up story of what happened, and why she was there.
Although her doctor tries to get Sable to tell the truth, her domineering Uncle was leering at her over the doctor's shoulder, scaring her into silence yet again. &While she was silent in the hospital, she was ready to escape.

Sable's boys are part of different Wolfpack families. They are all Alpha's to their own pack. Ridge is the first you will meet, and gosh, I am still swooning over him. Trystan is the dark/broody type with an attitude, but honestly, I love when the guy plays "hard to get". It's all the better when they finally give in! Asher is a bit quieter, and has been through a lot, making it hard for him to trust, but, he is so amazing with Sable. &Last but not least, Dare, he joins the harem a little bit later than the others, but he is just as amazing. He is possibly my favorite. But, you know what, Idk what I am saying, because there is NO way I can choose a favorite! They all are so special in their own way.

Callie really has brought us a unique and intriguing story. &As the mystery continues to unfold bits at a time, you are going to have a hard time putting it down. It just grabs your attention, and you will just NEED to know what happens next. "Just one more chapter..." is going to be repeating in your mind a whole lot! So, what are you waiting for? Grab yourself a copy today!

This story is Callies first foray into shifter paranormal and I am all for it!! I love a good shifter book, anything with strong alpha men is A-okay in my books!

I was so impressed with this book, it wasn’t your run of the mill shifter story where it throws you into the action head first from page one. This was honestly Sables book, it was all about her past, her experiences, her trauma.

Warning: this book talks about abuse, and trauma from this abuse. It depicts things that the characters went through with their abusers, if this is something that is triggering or hard for you, please choose another book. Callie has lots of others to chose from.

With the things that Sable went through, I wouldn’t expect instant love, and we didn’t get that. We got a more honest representation of them building a trusting relationship.

As with many Callie books, the last 100 or so pages are heart stopping, this was no different, and that last page is a DOOZY! Way to leave a girl hanging !

I love this storyline, I’m so excited to learn more about the men and about Sable. I want to see her grow into herself, because it will be a beautiful unveiling.

Happy reading T

“You did whatever it took to survive. That’s strength, Sable. The greatest kind of strength there is.”

🐺

YOOOOOOOO. THAT. ENDING. THOOOOO. Gah damn Callie Rose what did you just do to me!!! This book was frickin awesome!!! Don’t get me wrong I am a whore for a shifter book anyway, especially wolves, and this did not disappoint me at all. I loved Sable and her poor sensitive soul and honestly after everything she’s been through she 100% deserves 4 sexy alpha males protecting her and treating her like a queen.

This storyline was so original and I did not expect what happened at all. And that ending. Omg I am SHOOK! I won’t say anything else because when I read the blurb at first I was like ‘oh that kind of gives it all away’ BUT ALAS. I WAS WRONG. YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHATS ABOUT TO GO DOWN. (soz for capitals I’m just so hyped after that ending lol)

There are so many unanswered questions, the ending being the biggest one... but I just know book two is going to give us more of what we need and I am so excited to see how Sable and her men move forward after that!

🐺

She looks like a princess in the moonlight, small and fragile and beat all to hell. She deserves a white knight to carry her off into the sunrise on his noble steed. Instead, she got the fucking big bad wolf.

While PNR is my first love, for the last year or so I have not been interested in werewolf stories — Fated Magic has changed all of that by reinvigorating my interest in shifter and fated mate books. Thank you, Callie Rose!

She throws you straight into the story from the start with a taste of Sable’s abusive uncle, before racing from one event to the next. Stumbling into an unknown world of werewolves and magic, Sable is saved by a protective alpha who will have to fight tradition and others’ claims to stay with her. And just when you think you know what’s coming, Callie throws surprise after surprise at you.

You quickly get to know each of the men with chapters told in each of their POVs, giving you detailed glimpses into their thoughts as their bond begins to form. Uniquely different, it’s clear each man will help Sable recover and grow in different ways. And one of my favorite elements, the men have a delightful bro-frenemies relationship that I look forward to seeing evolve in the coming books.

The rapid, page-turning pace and short length easily lets you finish the book in one sitting and leaves you wanting more, more, more! Finishing with one of Callie’s signature out-of-the-blue cliffhangers, I’m desperate for the next book, my heart already and already breaking from the title.

A glimmer of hope, a moment to escape from the clutches of the man who inflicts endless pain upon her. She takes flight.

He finds her unconscious and feels the need to protect her. She confuses his senses.

Who is she, what is she, and most importantly will she be the destruction of them all once she finds out their truth.

Oh wow this book was like coming home. A familiar trope I love and adore mixed with the paranormal and I couldn't get enough!

The alpha wolves are everything you would expect them to be and more. Each one stands apart from the others with their unique personalities, but they blend together perfectly to make a team of fierce protectors.

Sable is so innocent. She knows nothing of the real world having been locked away for 18 years of her life.

She's not only extremely vulnerable and frightened but also brave and courageous too.

My heart bled for her it really did, and as pasts were shared my heart broke even more.

And that ending oh my good god! I was desperate for just one more page, one more paragraph gosh even one more sentence!

Callie Rose has done it again. It doesn't seem to matter in what genre she writes she always excels and this is no exception!

I can't wait for the next book!!!

Be warned that this book is not standalone, since it ended with sort of cliffhanger in the end that definitely make you craved to read the sequel. But, seriously, it's worth it. This slow-burn romance keeps me on my toes with a series of surprise and twist, especially the ending twist. It is slow-paced and spoon-feeding us in explaining the background story of each character, the lore, and what actually happen in this book's universe. I don't want to reveal much of the story, but the book was interesting and filled with suspense, actions, swooning alpha Hs (yup, it's menage), sentimental and heartwarming story of an abuse survivor, and romance, of course. Soooo, yeah, there's definitely a trigger for some readers since the h was abuse survivor (physical and mental abuse).

Well this is going to be interesting!

Fyi: CLIFFHANGER ENDING but soooo good! I can't wait to see how this story evolves in book 2! It's a story about a traumatized, beaten young woman who sees a chance to escape and takes it. During her flight she encounters a whole new version of the world, and her MATES. In some small ways, the plot is fairly typical of many others, but the storytelling stands out, ending in a cliffhanger that does its job - leaves you wanting more! I will definitely be looking forward to book two when it releases in September and consider the wait well worth it for the quality storytelling and editing job.

Callie is one of my favorite authors and she did not disappoint with this one. Sable is a young woman who is living a terrible life. She is mistreated and abused by someone who should be protecting her. She finally works up the nerve to run when an opportunity presents itself. That changes everything for her.
Sable ends up being found and taken in by a shifter whose wolf claims her as his mate. This happens with 3 other alphas. The time they spend together for her to decide which man she wants to be with is slow burn which leaves you craving more. What does happen between sable and her guys is hot and I can't wait to see where the next book takes them.
There is some action and danger that they come up against and the men come to the rescue immediately. The ending is a huge cliffhanger right when it's getting really steamy. It definitely makes you yearn for book 2!

2.5-3 stars. For the most part this was a decent start of a series. There really just wasn't much to it. Not much is going on except everyone just hanging out and tiptoeing around our FMC, Sable's, past trauma. I mean it makes sense that a person wouldn't just be able to "get over" a lifetime of abuse and the author spent a lot of time in introspective narrative showing the characters dealing with everything. There really wasn't much world building, or "in depth" backstory or anything which was a tad bit disappointing. I find it more difficult to truly sink into a story when I'm not "involved" enough with what's going on. Cliffhanger alert on the ending.. the story leaves off at the most inopportune moment. I'm interested enough to see where this might go but I'm not chomping at the bit for the release of the next one.

This medium burn book just leaves you hanging! Ahh it has a cliffhanger! Callie Rose wrote an exciting short story about a girl who escapes from her uncle ono a whim after almost hitting a deer in the road. I feel like our MC has a lot of courage but she doesn’t know any real-life experience or how to act. The 4 Alpha shifts have become smitten with our MC and know that her wolf is just waiting to come out. This book has a few steamy, slow burn scenes and I know the next book will just be exploding! Right when it is getting to the good part, BAM! Wasn't expecting that ending or that cliffhanger, I’m so mad! JK not really, just excited to see what Callie writes next!

Just Knockout!!

Sable (FMC) is broken & scared by years of abuse at the hands of her uncle. Until things come to a head & one night she takes the opportunity to run away. Which lands her in a world she has no idea about. Four Alphas - Ridge, Trystan, Archer & Dare. I loved the relationship Sable had with the guys & how it slowly built gently up. Especially as Sable's confidence grew throughout the book. That ending though?? Flaming hell that was jaw-dropping thats for sure. A damn fine read and im dying for book 2 now

Wow, oh wow. This book had me hooked from the moment that I picked it up. This book has something about it that will grab you from the first minute you hold it in your hand. It moves along at a comfortable pace, making for an easy read. The characters are amazing and within a few pages you are in love with them and no matter what happens you are there for them. You want to know everything about them and see them succeed. The story is so well written that you feel like you are there, experiencing what they are. This book needs to be read, there is no doubt about it.
