With all that said. That doesn’t mean this isn’t a well written book! This is one of Erin Trejo darkest book so far!

I can’t truly tell you much about this read without spoiling it. so, to say that it was easy to read book would be complete fabrication… but I will say that this was very intense read & not for the faint hearted! Yes I said it again! and yes I just warn you again!

This short story was definitely dark. The anti-hero in it, I don’t know if I could actually call him any kind of hero. The guy was off the wall and violent. I couldn’t really see any redeemable qualities to him at all.
When he finds a woman who intrigues him beyond murdering them, he doesn’t change his ways. He pretty much finds a woman who is just as psychotic as him! I guess that’s good for the both of them! Birds of a feather, flock together!!
All I can really say, is that I warn readers in advance, this is dark and gruesome. I will check out a few others in the series, mainly because I am curious if they will be just as dark. Each book in this series is written by a different author and I believe about a different motorcycle club. I will give a chance to see if it gets better! At least I am fully aware now that when they say dark; they definitely mean it in this series!😈

Pretty dark indeed.
But somehow I couldn't get emotionally involved in this tale.
As a result, there was no one for me to root for. Neither the villain nor the victims.
Very unlikeable characters.

OK...This was disturbing AS FUCK!!
I wanted to drop this like a hot rock so many times...but strangely enough I wanted to know more too.
I don't want to say much because I feel it would be spoilerish.
In my opinion all characters are really fucked up. Especially the H MC and h.
Drake is a sick , twisted,unhinged psychopathic fuck that is completely unredeemable in my opinion. Evie is as disturbed as he is. I don't think they can make difference between wrong and right. I mean the author tries to justify his action and almost succeeds but I still wonder if this is a good message to pass on...because this book is clearly a message to what is happening everywhere in the world
MAJOR TRIGGERS!!!! necrophilia ,rape in any form imagined , sexual sadism, fist fucking, homoeroticism, blood, torture, cutting fetish and I think the list can continue.
Butttt... after all that have been said above I was rooting for the 2 psychos to have some happiness and I couldn't put this down...a simple fact that make this a high rating for me!! Man!! I am sick in the head liking this🤣🤣🤣🤣

This one was DARK! Actually it was pitch black. Just so you know.
I'm a BIG fan of dark stories, but for some reason this one didn't really work for me. It had in theory all the ingredients, and then some... but I didn't enjoy it as much as I though I would.

Ok. Let me preface this review by saying I have read and enjoyed a lot of totally fucked up stuff. Torture porn, incest, violence, murder, you name it, I’ve read and enjoyed it. But it takes a certain something to take a story with a character who has no redeeming characteristics and make you cheer them on, regardless of all the bad they do.
But here, Drake is totally abhorrent, right from the start. He’s fairly one-dimensional, although we learn he has a tragic past. He rapes multiple women, violently and without remorse, then spouts about how against human trafficking he is because they are “sending women off to be beaten, raped and killed...”
He’s a hypocrite who changes his views randomly and without reason. Page to page, sometimes paragraph to paragraph, it’s hard to keep up.
He’s also not very smart. He kills innocent people and indulges in mild necrophilia and sexual blood play- all of this condom free. He dismembers one of his rape victims and carries the bag she’s inside of into the casino her boyfriend owns. and there’s never any consequences or payback. He leaves a trail of bodies and no one ever says a thing. No cops. No security. Nothing.
But all of that aside, dark romances can be epic, this one, for me, falls into it being pretty basic. After he finally kidnaps Evie there’s a time jump of “weeks”. We miss all the “getting to know each other” raping and slicing and dicing...And end up right in a pretty one-dimensional “relationship”. Her ex, a rival MC President, isn’t even looking for her. *rolls eyes* and shes “happy” with Drake. But apart from the mutual love of blood, Drake is still an unappealing arsehole. Cue his rant about abortion It’s not a romance or a psychopathic meeting of the minds, it’s a completely underwhelming mess of a “not-really that great” relationship.
I skimmed the last 30% but I’d already checked out by then. This was an average book that has some “taboo” elements that make people go gaga. But the story and execution is not strong enough for it to be anything else.
There’s the setup for two more of the hundred or so books to come...they’ll be written by different authors so maybe I can find something that’s more suited to my tastes.
This was short enough and on KU so give it a go if you want. YMMV.

Because even dark romance has something to redeem... you ever read a book thats so twisted and you can't put it down? This is it... i was shocked... and wow... why 2 star... cuz even if it was wrong and bad.. i kept reading!!!!
I can deal with anti guys and dark Broody fuckers.. but this guy he was unredeemedable...first few chapters he fking/raping girls.. well 2 were "willing" but the way he had sex with them was extreme.. and well some didnt make it.. thats how dark Drake is.. and ..yeah i had to put this down few times and skim read alot... no matter what Drake wasnt a hero or even a anti hero.. he was hands down a monster... he even killed his own MC brother.. thats betraying the club but guess his prez didnt care.. (uh what are those Club rules again.?).. and the guy didn't do nothing.. thats how fked up Drake was..
As for Evie.. shes darkish to but not on Drakes level.. and i felt bad for her.. since her "old man" was a abusive asshole.. so who's worse? The man who absuive her daily or the new man who has a fetish for making her bleed?? Like?? It was just dark...

OK, so I've read this and had to adsorb before I came to the only conclusion possible: THIS IS DARK AF, this is a psychotic clusterfuck, this is ghastly and it is an fab read!
Drake is the VP of the Royal Bastards MC main chapter, hiding that My head is a complete fucked-up hell hole. Raised by an abusive father who used to beat me and my mom until we couldn’t see straight. He would go from the abuser to the man who was hypnotized by the sight of blood flowing from our wounds. When Drake's best friend Tara is kidnapped, her beaten and abused body left for her parents to be found, Drake's internal beast is set free making him often wonder if that’s the reason I want to hurt, kill, and watch people bleed.
Obsessed by Evie, the wife of a rival club president, Drake does the unthinkable and kidnaps her. But his firm set plans are derailed, when he sees a side of Evie that captivates and intrigues him.
But Drake has a score to settle and get justice for a long lost friend.

This first book in the Royal Bastards MC starts off with a wild, shocking, and taboo story filled with blood, sex, bikers, and a dark and twisted soul named Drake. He finds little comfort in this world and is ready to check out of it, unfazed by his brutal and narcissistic choices. It isn't until he finally claims his prize Evie that he begins to travel down a dark and haunted road that brings him full circle.
There are plenty of triggers in this book but I have to admit, that's what kept me riveted. I love to be sucked into a book and its characters and the author knows how to pull a reader in. This isn't a story for the faint of heart but that's why I enjoyed it so much.

I read this book last night and it was bad. I think the author put a lot of the murder and rape just to shock. It didn't shock me, but a lot of the book was wishy washy and dumb. When the H kidnaps the h, He takes her back to his house and then suddenly 2 weeks have passed, with him having cut and fucked her. And in that time the h has fallen in love with the H and is as fucked up as him? Then he goes on a murderer spree for human trafficker's. While he's at it he should murder himself for being a murdery rapist douche. Oh...and the h gets pregnant....seriously! So bad.

Beyond darkness in the 7th realm of hell, Drake is being tortured
I hope for all eternity, he will suffer! I stopped reading it 1/2 thru when I came to the part (SPOILER) where he tricks a brother of the club into entering his torture chamber. This is after raping and nearly killing Bic's sister. This book starts with a gore fest and never stops. Drake does not have one redeemable bone in his body and I refuse to accept that he may get HEA. Drake is a psychopath and his childhood abuse may have triggered is blood lust, but there is no excusing the horror that he inflicts upon women. How can a woman write such violence inflicted upon other women? I can't read it and I usually enjoy a gritty ride thru the MC world; however, this book was too much for me.

WOW!! I was not prepared for how this book started out. I still don't have all the answers to questions running through my head. Only way to describe it was almost like a horror book.

Drake is dark, sinister, twisted and all because of his horrible past and loss of an important friend. The guilt rides him and draws him to blood. Evie is an old lady to a rival but that don't stop Drake from taking her, but who really is evil Drake or her man Cory??
I'm not going to spoil but this one is pitch black dark yet has a message of a real problem that women face.
If you're drawn to dark romance this one is right up your alley.

That opening scene I was like what kind of a sick fuck wrote this book? I was determined not to read it, but i gave it a chance and kept reading.
The first thing that I noticed was that Erin must have a new editor. I didnt notice one spelling or grammatical error. The second thing I noticed was that this book is Addison Cain raw. Necrophilia, sexual sadism, ass rape, fist fucking, homoeroticism, and blood, lots of blood. But typical of Erin Trejo’s stories, there is a morality story buried amongst the gore.
Drake our anti-hero is one sick fuck. He has reached the depths of depravity and we later discover, is ready to end his life. But first he must satisfy his obsession by kidnapping, raping and murdering the Ol’ Lady of the president of a rival outlaw motorcycle club. Evie is beautiful and reminds him of his childhood friend Tara.
Tara was kidnapped in front of Drake when they were both seven years old. Her body was found months later, raped and tortured; the work of a drug trafficking ring. This affected Drake’s emotional development, as did the torture he and his mother received at the hands of his father.
Evie turned out to be a surprise. Although Drake raped and tortured her, it was nothing compared to the cruelty she experienced at the hands of her Ol’ Man. Evie began to form an attachment to Drake.
The shocker to this tale is that there is an HEA that actually is believable.
I recommend this little book even though it is disturbing as fuck!

WOW!
Before you read this book you need to know that this is not your typical motorcycle club book. This book is dark, very dark, haunting and thrilling.
If you have your mind open you will probably still be traumatized, but in the best possible way.
Erin Trejo delivers a jaw dropping, wide eye, oh my god what did I just read, story. I promise this book will bounce around in your head for days after you finish.
I took a couple of days to process it before writing this review. I needed to let my mind take everything in. There are a lot of deep hidden feelings in this book, that you won't even notice until after you finish.

Before you read this book you need to know that this is not your typical motorcycle club book. This book is dark, very dark, haunting and thrilling.
If you have your mind open you will probably still be traumatized, but in the best possible way.
Erin Trejo delivers a jaw dropping, wide eye, oh my god what did I just read, story. I promise this book will bounce around in your head for days after you finish.
I took a couple of days to process it before writing this review. I needed to let my mind take everything in. There are a lot of deep hidden feelings in this book, that you won't even notice until after you finish.

This book. . . this man. . . blood. . . lots and lots of blood. This author's books aren't really for the faint at heart so I don't know how or why I read her books I just can't stop myself. This time the stars are not only because it's such an amazing read. This is so much darker than we normally get from Ms Trejo but I can't say it's not her style because it really is. We are privy to what created the monster and watch as he de-evolves (is that a word). She does for him what no one has been able to do in the past, she gives him direction. But before she gets to him??? Well let's just say he is a man on a mission and he's out of control. Blood is his drug of choice and he lives to spill it in the most vicious of ways. I have to admit I was giving the man the stink eye as I read because he is there is no limit to his brutality. He is one sick puppy who has finally met his match. Together they will start a war, a war against those that target innocent women and children and bring them down to their knees one by one. In the meantime they will prove that even a monster like him can be changed for the better.

There were some great parts of this book and some others that I struggled with. I've been excited for this collaboration since I first heard about it. However, I didn't really connect with the characters the way that I had wanted to in this book. There are a lot triggers and violence in this book (for those wondering). It still was a great start to what I can only imagine will be a great series.

So, the first thing I want to say, this book is NOT for the faint of heart. A couple of times, I almost put this story down, but I pushed through, and I am happy I did. There is a reason for EVERYTHING in this story. Blood Lust is a real thing in this story, and everyone seems to have it.
I do not want to give anything away because I didn't know what I was getting into, and I really think someone should go into this story like I did, totally blind. Please, even if at first you are like me and want to walk away, don't. Blood Lust is an unusual, twisted, and mentally draining beginning to a new MC series.

Erin went completely out of the box on this disturbingly dark, twisted and simply put… SICK book. I knew I was going on a sinister ride just after reading the prologue.
Drake is the VP of the Royal Bastards. He is probably the most sick and twisted character that I have ever read.
“The need to watch her bleed all over me. The desire to watch how the ropes slice into her delicate skin.”
The blood and lust is in primal form throughout this entire book.
Erin took me on this sinister journey that I could not stop or rather I could not put down.

If you love MC stories and you love DARK DARK romances. Then this book is for you.
If you just a normal MC romance type of girl then this could be a tough one. But if you like DARK Romances then Drake is your guy. Badass, alpha dark and twisted... He sees what he wants and he takes it without any regard to the consequences. But he didn't count on her. And that is a twist he didn't see coming!
I can't give away any detail cause it would spoil the story for those hardcore biker readers. But I seriously recommend this book if you want something with a dark twist

Wow! Erin is always good about bringing something dark and twisted to a story but OMG she has out done herself with this one. Drake is.. a budding psychopath, he really is. Evie, his ultimate prize, bringing it all together in the end, to end it but it really is just the beginning. He thinks it can finally be over but it's not, she brings a level of peace to him that he never expected. Amazing, dark, twisted, loved this story. A big start to the Royal Bastards!

Wow Erin just blew me away with this story. This book was so riveting and it was one I couldn't put down. It's dark, twisted, intense, gripping and OMG so so good!! Drake is the VP of the Royal Bastards, and he craves one thing... blood. He wants Evie and he'll stop at nothing to take her. This book takes you on one hell of a ride and I can't even describe how much I loved it!! Do yourself a favor and get it now!

Warning, this book is not for the faint of heart. It is dark, gritty, twisted and disturbing!! Drake and Evie go on the dark and sinister ride. Drake is “evil” in sinister but the loss of someone very important to him has shaped his present. Evie is an old lady of a rival club and Drake takes her but he gets more than he expects with her. This story kept me glued to my Kindle from the beginning. I can’t wait for more of this series!!

This book had me saying WTF a lot. Do you like dark and twisted? If so this is your book, If not you will after you read this. It is amazing how two people can fit so perfect together and balance each other out even in a twisted way. I love my Alpha Males and Erin Trejo writes extremely good ones, she hit it out of the park again with this book

When I was a couple of chapters in I was starting to wonder if it was for me. But I'm not quitter so I kept going and let me tell you I'M SO GLAD I DID!!! This book is dark and twisted but oh so good. I'm excited to see what comes next for the Royal Bastards. GREAT start to the series Erin Trejo.

Dark, twisted and even some what morbid. This story will have you turning page after page to see if Drake will be able to control the demon of himself to find some kind of peace and contentment. An excellent read and very graphic.
