After the first few pages, I knew this was a book I wasn’t going to be able to put down, until I got to The End. The characters were so realistic that they made it quite easy for me to absolutely love or completely dislike them, just like people in real life. This is a literary journey that I wouldn't have missed for anything!

Robbie and Talise are both damaged characters who try to stay strong and not show any weakness to others. Lots of excitement, anger, frustration, fear, danger and love in this wonderful romance. The book grabs you from the beginning and keeps you turning the pages to discover the final outcome.

I received an ARC of "The Highlander's Wicked Prophecy" from the fabulous author, Fiona Faris. This is the story of Robbie of the Clan MacDonald of the Isle o' Skye and Talise, a female slave, originally from the Beaver clan of the Iroquois tribe. Fiona gives a beautiful vivid description of everything in the book and transforms me there.
Robbie wishes to make something of himself, to be someone, and to discover his purpose in life, so he heads out to the Americas where he finds Talise on the America bound ship. Talise is actually held captive by the horrid captain and wishes to escape his claws as she develops tender feelings for Robbie.
Their adventure moving forward is captivating and heart wrenching.

I absolutely loved this book. It pictures an unusual character in the h as an Iroquois maiden, native of the Americas. I grew up reading in school about the American Indians. They were a proud strong people; more civilized and organized than the white man gave them credit for. They were people of the land and were very wise. I am glad the author introduced our h as a native American. It gives new meaning to the words sacrifice, suffering in silence, selflessness and through it all her spirit was never broken. The h was captured and sold to an Englishman who was a captain of a ship. He brutally beat her to near death, raped her repeatedly and got her pregnant. She bore it all in silence. Even though the babe was conceived under brutal circumstances she knew it was an innocent being. The babe bore no fault of the father's wickedness. She loved the babe in her womb regardless of how it was created and she suffered much to keep it safe. Our H has something in common with the h and the babe. His mother was shockingly sexually assaulted, raped by the Laird of the castle. All the days of his life he wished he was never born. Even though his mother showered him with her unconditional love it was not enough for him. He felt he had no purpose. He embarked on a voyage that would away from the Isle of Skye, he would cross paths with the h and both of their lives would be changed forever. There is so much action and adventure. There are a few secondary characters filled with honor, kindness and self-sacrifice towards the h. They are incredible people. The H and h over time secretly fall in love. But the discovery of that love would be a death sentence for the H and would cause the h to receive a punishment beyond human endurance. The story has unique twists and turns that are courageous as they are deadly. A must read. You will not be disappointed.

ONE PRIZE WINNING BOMBSHELL!!!
Let it rip! Fiona raised the bar, lowered the boom and blew me out of the water with this nailbiting storyline and thrilling plot, bringing this baby on home with all the grace, imagination, talent, immense intellect and style, hooking you from the start and reeling you in for the duration. Exposing the drama, intrigue, doubt, turmoil, abuse, danger, mounting suspense and disastrous situations along with a boatload of chaos while dodging mayhem, you have one block busting masterpiece. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, kicking this gem into a tempest, blasting it into a frenzy with a mind-blowing culmination. Showcasing incredible, well rounded scenario's, that punch dead center, revving up the exuberance and adrenaline with such intensity and precision, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The attraction and chemistry sizzles, alluring and mesmerizing, grounding in it's strength and awe-inspiring in it's depth. The dynamics and presentation in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. The characters are complex and authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow smoothly transforming into genuinely relatable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Remarkable job Fiona, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.

Wow! What a awesome story! Highlander's Wicked Prophecy is a fast paced ride on the seas and back to the Isle of Skye in this Highland adventure full of danger, violence and strife as a web of vengeance is spun that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat! Fiona Feris weaves a story that will hold you spellbound and your heart will race, with remarkable emotions, and unforgettable characters and a strong plot that brings this read together perfectly and will keep you enthralled from the moment you begin the journey with Robbie and Talise. Lord have mercy Robbie is brawny, swoon worthy highlander, but has emotional scars. Setting out from his home on Isle of Skye to come to terms with his past he sets sail to the Americas as a mercenary. When he meets Talise whose life is a living hell. Robbie vows to rescue Talise if it's the last thing he does and swears he will protect her until the end of time. Robbie and Talise will take you on a journey filled with sensual awakenings, drama, tears, danger, rape, adventure, heart wrenching heartache, spicy passion, hope, trials and tribulations, a villain you love to hate and while the suspense builds, tensions escalate and all twist and turns abound that makes for one outstanding story that you won't want to miss. I always enjoy how well Fiona brings in the other characters from other series making for cohesive storytelling. I look forward the her next book!

Robbie and Talise's story is fraught with evil doings. Talise is an Iroquois woman held captive by a sea captain with an evil heart. Whenever she does something he doesn't like he beats her. When Robbie meets her, he finds that she is pregnant. There is a current between them and as the voyage proceeds, towards the lands of America and closer to the land of her people, an escape plan is hatched. Thus begins an adventure full of fear, danger, capture and rescue, flight, the birth of Noah, and love. It is a wonderful, fast paced tale that keeps you reading till you finish it. Your best one so far, Fiona. I loved it immensely. If you have read earlier books, you will be taken by the reappearance of some previous characters from her other stories that play a role in this one too. That lends a real air of believablity to the story. I recommend this story heartily.

Such an emotional book!! It was difficult to keep reading at times but at the same time, I couldn't put it down!! Both Robbie and Talis have had hard lives due to no fault of their own and must come to grips with that as well as learn how to move on. Thank goodness they have found each other because it is through one another that they will find the inspiration and the courage to face their difficulties head-on. All the trademarks of a Fiona Faris book are included, dramatic action scenes, complex storyline, wonderful characters, evil villains, and coursing through it all is an all-powerful love between two individuals that will not be denied! And the epilogue will blow you away!!
Keep plenty of tissues on hand because this one is a tearjerker for sure!!

I’m awestruck!

I’m so happy this sheds light to the collective stories of the couples and clan I’ve fallen in love with. This one though, wow! It was absolutely brilliant! So far, this is the most unique and grotesque one. It was bloody, gory, and brutal, a little more than usual. I couldn’t help but cringe every now and then. I also loved the mysticism incorporated too. Out of all the stories of the MacDonalds, this has aroused my indignation the most, pushed me to violence the most. I despised Acton Carlisle! Although it was poetic justice in the end, it was also somewhat anticlimactic. I’m excited though because the extended epilogue hinted to more!

A Highlander for me 'Tis true!

It was nice having a 3rd installment of this storyline. This last book contained more drama than the previous two but in a different level. The ship captain made my flesh crawl! Robbie made me wish to be the clean in his eyes. Talise suffered and each pain could be felt as you read along. The ending speaks of trouble coming. In history, the MacDonald clan was massacred by the Campbell clan, two of the clans involved in this series. Could this ending be a for telling of a history lesson? Time will tell...

Perfect

This story was emotional and powerful. There were some hard moments but the bond between Robbie and Talise was unbreakable. It had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end, just like all of the other books I've read by Fiona Faris. I have read the first book in this series but not the second and I didn't find myself confused at all so don't worry if you haven't read the others. Hopefully you will read this book and come to love the story and the author as much as I have.

Highlander's Wicked Prophecy by Fiona Faris

It was a good read but left questions. Such as, why was Robbie so upset at the pain caused to his mother conceiving him through rape. She loved him dearly. Also, it wasn't really a "wicked" prophecy, but for Talise, it was one of hope and a true love to rescue her from a vicious abuse from the Captain. I enjoyed the ending of the captain. Nothing like a fierce highlander with a gentle heart ❤. I think of these men like Jamie in the Outlanders.

The Iroquois woman was an odd choice, the ship's captain an over-the-top villain, and for all the drawn-out drama of escaping him and waiting for his revenge, the climax was weirdly anticlimactic.

Still, did I highlight countless spelling, punctuation, and editing misses? No, I did not! That's a rare thing these days and worth giving credit. Maybe I should nudge this to three stars on that basis.

Robbie MacDonald was a man in pain. He left the Isle of Skye to find himself, his reason and purpose for living. He found that purpose on board the St. Anne bound for America in the form of an Iroquois woman named Talise. Talise has been sold to the captain Acton Carlisle III. Can Robbie save Talise and her unborn child? Can he become the man his family always knew he was? A page turner till the end!!! I absolutely loved the book and I can’t wait till the next one!

Delightful book

It deserves a the star give, I love when you find more than love in a book, when the book is so well written that keeps you turning pages and wanting more. This is one of these kind of books. The romance is endearing and so magical between these too, it makes you sigh and daydream and all that without unnecessary sex scenes and erotic situations. Give it a try and pick wont regret it. I'm already moving to the next one from this author.

Maybe her best yet!

This, the third book in the “Wicked” series, is the thrilling tale of Robbie MacDonald, who leaves his beloved Isle of Skye to search for his life’s meaning. He meets quite the cast of characters, including the beguiling Talise. This novel includes action, adventure and, of course, love. I highly recommend it to those that enjoy a little spice in their Highland storyline.

The Devil Captain

Robbie left the isle of Skye to find out what he was missing in life. So he went to London and boarded a ship, headed to America and upon meeting the Captain, he saw her. The Captain bought her and treated her very badly. Talesia was an Iroquois Indian and had been sold to the captain, after she was taken from her tribe. So Robbie knew where his fate had led him here and what his purpose was.

Highlander's Wicked Prophecy

This author keeps on improving! In this book I noticed how well she is developing her characters. Robbie is a tortured soul who wants to find out the reason for his birth. My heart went out to him as he watched other members of his clan with their wives and children. He decides he needs to go to the Americas to find himself.

This story is totally different from any other that I have read. Robbie was conceived in violence and leaves to find his place and his purpose. He finds Talise, a victim of unspeakable abuse and cruelty and they know that they were meant to be together. She belongs to the monster who mistreats her both as his property and his wife. When they meet she is carrying the beasts child but she knows that Robbie is the one man who can save her. She is a strong and beautiful woman who has won over a few members of the Captain's crew but will they be able to help Robbie and get her to safety?

Highlanders, Pirates and ladies in distress! The story of a highlander's desire to run away and the lady he discovers that is being abused.

Love is rarely easy.

Talise had a very hard time . The blessings that changed her life were not easy. For Robbie to find his purpose so quickly a d have the stamina to save Talise twice and see her survive such abuse was more than a blessing. It was a strong story for survival. Hard to put down. 🤗.

Living under a shadow

This is a great story, with a wonderful but sad story line, Robbie was a child of rape, living with this knowledge broke his heart ,he needed to find his purpose in life,
And so he did in the form of a beautiful Indian slave, and her new
Born son, who became the son of his heart.
Thank you ❤

Love Conquers All

Excellent writing and couldn't stop reading. Talise's suffering was horrific and very typical for women of color to be treated as property. Robie was honorable and brave. It was poetic that Captain was attacked by Agnes. Loved both the epilogues and suspect that Ewan and Noah will be featured in a future book.

Son of His Heart

This was the story of Robbie MacDonald and his journey to the Americas. Robbie set off on his journey to discover his place and his worth in life. He discovered Talise, an Iroquois slave to the captain of the ship. There was excitement, sorrow and adventure in this story. I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the fourth book in this series!
