On a vacation in the countryside, Brina got a taste of her innate feline freedom when she briefly escaped her owners and joined a band of wild cats who left (or were left by) their owners. Now, Brina and her human owners, Samuel and Margret return to life in the city. Brina must re-adapt to being a closed up indoor cat in an apartment and finding her own sense of freedom. Join Brina as she takes on would be car thieves, an army of street rats, pesky pigeons, and the hustle and bustle of city life.
Thank you to the publisher for giving me this free copy in exchange for an honest review.
I liked this one. It wasn't so different from any other comic I've ever read but it was still a fun read.
Brina the cat goes on more adventures and finds comrades/friends along the way. But there are also some obstacles on the way there.
I think the comic is very fun and that the story was very well executed. The characters are very likable and you will proceed to enjoy the comic the whole way through.
Сподобалась набагато менше першої частини. Друга — збірка оповідань, а перша була цільною історією. Купила собі в бібліотеку першу, а цю прочитала в магазині 😺❤️
'Brina the Cat #2: City Cat' by Giorgio Salati and Christian Cornia continues the adventures of the wayward and curious cat.
Brina spent the first issue lost in the mountains. Now she is home, but not without further fun adventures. She makes new friends along the way, like the pigeon stuck in the attic, or the lovelorn parrot in a cage on the roof. Her adventures eventually take her and her owners back to the mountains and a reunion with her friends from Volume 1.
I liked this series of short stories about Brina. She is a good character and the mishaps always have happy endings. This is a fun series for young readers.
I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Papercutz and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.
Brina the Cat #2 is a short book about the cat Brina and her adventures. The book has a few chapters, each of which is a standalone story about one of Brina's adventures. While the chapters are in chronological order, they are still standalone enough, that I didn't mind the fact that I haven't read the first book in the series. The stories about Brina are fun and nicely written, and it does show that they were written with children as targeted audience. However, the book can still offer some enjoyment to older readers. While I do feel that the stories were a bit too over-simplified for me, I think that this is a great children's book and that kids will enjoy it quite a lot.

Excellent graphic novel that wasn't just "fun" reading but actually imparted some great life lessons via Brina's actions and the accompanying text. As an adult, I found these philosophical moments in the book very surprising and heart-warming. Brina is able to reach out to befriend other species and, in turn, they've got her back when she needs it the most. It's so refreshing to see that graphic novels do not have to be about war, violence, or occult themes to be entertaining. I dare say: They can even focus on kindness, compassion, empathy, and positivity and still be highly entertaining, humorous, and educational. Thank you Giorgio Salati and Christian Cornia for continuing the wonderful stories of Brina and her friends!!

Brina the Cat makes me smile! After reading the first book of her adventures, I have been waiting for the sequel. The sequel does not disappoint. Brina does not let any grass grow under her tiny paws. She does not even have to look for adventure. It manages to find her. And just as most cats with nine lives, she lands her feet every time. Not only is this an entertaining read, but it also teaches friendship and sharing in a fun way. The graphics are beautiful, and the use of chapters is a great early introduction to that phase of reading. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book. I am looking forward to the next book of Brina’s adventures!
I love cats and I love Brina the City Cat! This is a comic book for children of all ages, but especially for cat lovers. It is a series of short stories, in which the adventures of Brina, a fearless city kitten, are narrated. Personally, my favorite chapter is Chapter 7, which explains what happiness is through the eyes of a cat; I believe that we humans should learn from this lesson and thus we would make this world a better world for everyone, regardless of race, education or social situation.
Miss 7 enjoyed it. This has less the feeling of a single story like the first book. It's a series of little vignettes over the course of a year as Brina makes new friends.
Miss 7 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.
This is… jarringly unhinged actually? I enjoyed that. Just chapter after chapter of completely absurd insane things happening to Brina. (The swatting chapter in particular is just insane). Very jarring when the first comic was incredibly grounded in reality. This one is also extremely ‘episodic’ in nature, each chapter a different ‘problem of the week’. And this, like the first one, is more so for 3-7 year olds not preteens/borderline preteens.
One of the best graphic novels I have ever read. The book follow a year in life of Brina the cat. The cat is a lovely character, very smart, polite and kind. I haven't been though such a remarkable graphic novel for a while and can't wait to get myself a copy. I was expecting a good read but this was a great read. I would love to read more about Brina.
I was absolutely delighted in this book's friendships. -Different species. -A disabled animal (who's story reminds of disabled veterans' when you think of it). -A homeless cat
This book makes it clear that best friends aren't always packaged in the snazziest situations. What matters is how they treat you.
After returning home from Summer holiday with Margret and Sam, Brina looks forward to readjusting back to her city cat lifestyle. But adventure still finds Brina as she deals with car thieves, thuggish rats, lonely birds and various other incidents and adventures as she makes new friends along the way.
The second part of an adorable kitty named Brina, the sequel doesn't disappoint. Brina is followed by adventures, she does not have to look for them, and she escapes in ingenious ways, a kitten who teaches us friendship and sharing in a fun way. Illustrations make the story more beautiful, keeping you smiling on every page. Highly recommended reading.
Love both of these books, especially the cat and the dad's relationship. Art work is great and this would be fun for kids, teens and adults. Really a cat enthusiast and non cat people because they can relate and laugh at the rotten antics that happen too!
Cute chapters of solo stories tied together for the crazy adventures of a cat. An Italian Secret Life of Pets. Don't have to have read book one, but wouldn't hurt to see how Brina and her story started.
Loved Brina the cat. Brina is a typical cat liked everything about this cover the drawings inside the story. I was great. Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to review it. 5 stars.
An adorable story about a cat and her cohorts that children of all ages will enjoy. I especially love that it a series of short stories! And you even get to experience the world through Brina's eyes.
Bring the cat gets herself into some over the top adventures. It's am easy to read book for kids, and is very entertaining. Its the perfect story for kids who enjoy laughing while they read.
