This book, as well as its 'mate', 'What to Look for Outside a Church', is a work of wonder, and informative for readers of all ages. Everything you need to know about what you're likely to find within a church, and the importance and origins of all these various elements, is is explained clearly and succinctly. I'll definitely bring this book along when I next visit a church. It's a great buy, and highly recommended to amateur enthusiasts of history and architecture.

A basic and simple guide to what the stuff is that you might find in an English church. Rather dated text though as regards the assumption that all readers are Christians (references to us and we and assumes god exists).
