Ever the smarta**

The tables aren't turned they are spinning off their axis. It's no secret that Mackenzie Grey will do what needs to be done for the ones that she loves. If it's possible to have more than one soulmate ai believe Mackenzie Grey has managed it. Getting Amy and their life back to the way it was before is beating Kenzie up literally, not figuratively. The battles waged seem to have not disipitated and Kenzie is going full speed Freedom Princess. Something is definitely off with her wolf and it's not easy keeping Bash out of her new battle. And oh what a battle it will be. Are we friends or foe? Spin, spin the table keeps spinning. Already gearing up for the next book in the series. Can't stop until I get to the conclusion.

If you are interested in Shifter stories which also include some other SuperNatural beings…this is the series for you .
If you like a Strong Female Lead.
This is the series for you…
Once you accept that SHE HAS a very strong opinion about how things need to be done - the story is Very entertaining and she is VERY LOYAL to those she loves…
Superb series…sometimes I wish she would just let Bash in a tiny bit more…but as I read I remember she is still in her 20’s and so still a lot of growing up to do…

Much cooler but geez Mackenzie

4.5! If it weren't for her being so infuriating this would be a 5. Everything worked out for her and she's lucky Sebastian didn't go crazy.

I liked this a lot cause it was difficult. I'm gonna miss the author ending her books with her titles lol but the vampire drama was fun. And it was unavoidable and showed the more mature side of Kenzie. She still keeps secrets and I hate it, she needs to stop.

Things are transitioning and I'm so excited.

OK, I love Mackenzie, but she needs to start trusting in those who she loves and loves her in return. I mean, constantly leaving Bash out to help protect him is not a way to a relationship. Not to mention, if something happened to her, he would be lost! I know she is trying to keep it so he can keep his pack, but I think the decision should be up to him. I will say that I do not trust Bobby Wu for nothing... something is off about him...

Karina and Mackenzie...getting better.

I'm liking Karina's universe more and more. A great ride (read). Mackenzie is thinking more and reacting less and she OK with her growth on the inside. I love the action and her signature fighting moves.
Hopeful for her fae side to come out and make her a little OP. On to the next installment.

Ok so I am getting sick of MacKenzie’s dumb actions and decisions and this book just made me frustrated. Dont get me wrong it is written well but I just wanted to shake the shit out of her. I am hoping the series will move on a bit faster now and the next book isn’t written just because of something dumb she did….

Loved it

MacKenzie is so strong and she'll do anything for those she cares about. Love watching the character development as she matures. Happy Amy got her wish and can't wait for the next book.

Kenz and Amy

The elder vampires learn of the cure Kenz purchased for Amy. They tell her she can't have it. Kenz goes ballistic and kills one of them, and takes back the cure. Then Kenz goes into hiding as the vampires and the SIU are after her. They developed a plan to take down the elders, but Kenz is tortured till things work out.

4 out of 5 stars.

This was a good follow up for this new “trials” series. But some of the plot points didn’t make a whole lot of sense.

One day soon

I know one day Mackinze will find peace. This book was not it. Just another fight she has to endure to get to the greater things. This book was as good as the others.

Cure

Mild adult content and violence, reader discretion advised. MaKenzie Grey is a doer not a thinker, much like Ricky Bobby. Her lack of thinking before she speaks and acts get a her in the most I favorable predicaments. Bash, Amy, Lucian as Alexander always have her back.

As soon as I knew this book was coming out I knew there was no if and when I would read it. It was a case of I am reading as soon as I can my hands on the book. That’s what I did, though I didn’t expect to go get cosy in bed and read the book from the first word to the very last all in one go! I adore the cover of Curse Breaker, its bright, it has Kenz on it, what more could you want! It will stand out on a book shelf and its cohesive enough to be instantly recognisable as part of the whole of the Mackenzie Grey books series.

So, in this book it seems like Amy has made her decision on whether to take the vampirism cure or not. However, things aren’t as straight forward as that, they never are for Kenz, and Amy. Mackenzie finds out at the last minute that there is going to be a meeting and the vampire elders will be there. Naturally Mackenzie demands she attends to protect her friend Amy.
Things go bad, the elders do not make the right choice in Mackenzie’s opinion. When things go wrong around Mackenzie and they affect someone who she loves she acts first and thinks about the consequences later.

And wow, there are super serious consequences this time. With everyone she normally has to help her actually hunting her who can she turn to? Bash? Well no because Mackenzie feels she has brought enough trouble to him and his pack. Charles Cadwell already hates her, one more thing may make him turn on Bash and take away the Brooklyn Pack. As Bash and the Brooklyn Pack are temporarily staying at the Cadwell estate due to things that happened in the last book, Mackenzie puts the love of her life out of bounds for help. Though she does ask for help from one member of the Brooklyn Pack who she trusts with Amy’s life and her own. Mackenzie also finds herself reaching out to the one warlock no one wants to owe a favour to.

Favourite, loved main characters are of course Mackenzie, Bash, Amy, Jackson. Other characters I loved in this book despite certain actions they had to take were Lucian, and Bobby Wu. I also enjoyed hating Isaac and the vampire elders. One character that I would put in the “still contemplating” box is Mason Kincade, though I do think we may see more of him in the future.

My immediate reaction upon finishing the book were, wow did I really just read the whole book? And that it was absolutely amazing! Karina Espinosa has created another fantastic adventure for Mackenzie whilst hinting at future possibilities for certain characters too. I certainly wanted even more as I finished this book.

To sum up this book was amazing. As soon as you started reading, you immediately slipped right back into Mackenzie’s mindset and were right alongside of her as her wolf reacted and put her own life in danger once again. I absolutely adored this book and am really looking forward to even more in the future.
Definitely a must read book and series!

We all know by now that I love my girl Mac and I am so happy to be able to share this review with you all.  To begin with, a big thank you to Karina for the ARC.

Between us, this one stressed me out quite a bit, I have lived in anxiety my friends all the way to the end, and then bam.. more stress and drama potential.  Someone I know seems to enjoy putting me through the wringer!  Let’s get this out of the way, I cannot be objective on this one.

I am a huge fan of the series, and you do need to start with the first book of the Mackenzie Grey: Origins Series; there are 4 books in that series and then we head into this one “Mackenzie Grey: Trials” where Curse Breaker is book 2.  It may seem as a lot but I promise you that once you dive in it will go super fast and you will be like me needing to know when the next book is coming…

Karina, when is book 3 out please?

As I mentioned above, if you are familiar with the series, Curse Breaker got me on edge, I was so worried for my girl Mac throughout. Not going into details, because… spoilers.

But OMG, I nearly had a heart attack!

This was bad bad bad … I have to say that of all the books, that is definitely the one that got me the most nervous whilst reading it.  I could not put it down and finished it in one go all the while praying that nothing that would break my heart happens.

I will not discuss the end of course, but what a ride.  I always loved Karina’s style and this baby was up there.  Though my heart nearly stopped once or twice, I have decided this is my favorite of the whole series.

There… I said it!

So for those familiar to the series, you are going to love it! Mark my words. However, if you are discovering the series today, as I mentioned above you do need to read a few books before getting here, but if you enjoy action, drama, surprises and some strong female lead then these are the books for you.

Karina, as always you have done amazing work here with the characters, action and pace of the book.  Not to be a pest, I need book 3 stat! Please?

This book opens up with Kenzie getting the cure for Amy and Bash is away with the pack at Charles estate. Kenzie finds out that Amy can't take the cure until the vampire elders have their hearing about. Kenzie is not happy about it, she knows there is more to it than meets the eye. When they
deny Amy the cure, Kenzie loses her temper. She attacks the vampires and gets the cure and runs. When the dust settles, she is major trouble. She turns to someone that will own her from that point out.Jackson comes to her aid, in her fight against the vampires, Lucian and SIU. They will work together to get Amy back. Who is the new guy Mason and what does he really want. Why do the elders want the cure for, there is more to it than what they say. Who is the person that pulled her personal records? Who is this guy Waldo Wagner
Will Kenzie get out this with her life and get Amy the cure she wants. Or will she lose her life, everything she holds dear.

The twist and turns in the book are so good. This book moves at such a fast pace, the author keeps you hooked through out the book. The action, the more in-depth look in her relationships with friends and family. How Mackenzie keeps growing in to this fierce heroine that will stand up to anyone, no matter what.
I am looking forward to see where Mackenzie and Bash go from this point? Is Mackenzie really going to allow herself to be owned by a person. Will she find her answers to all the questions she has.
This series just keeps getting better with each book as each character grows. I can not wait to see where the author goes in the next book.

I highly recommend this book and series if you never read it before. You will not regret it. Not trying to give out any spoilers, this is a must read.

I received an ARC copy of this book, this is my honest opinion and review

The one thing I love about the author Karina Espinosa, is she gives you enough information in the book it can be a stand alone. I do however recommend you start from the beginning of Mackenzie Grey’s story. She is an amazing kick-butt woman who stands up for herself and doesn’t follow the masses.

I was enthralled with Curse Breaker from the beginning to the end. I read the book in one go, you never know what Kenz is going to do next. I was shocked in this book I felt like she did an impulsive move, but I loved where it lead. The twist and turns Miss Espinosa gives us is captivating, she knows how to keep you in the web of Kenz world. There is so many questions unanswered, that I can’t wait to find out in the next books to follow. I don’t want to add my questions because I don’t want to give spoilers!!! I highly recommend this book/series they are amazing, super action packed you won’t regret it.

I received an ARC for this book this is my honest opinion. (I will also be buying my own copy!)

A book that is hard to put down until you finish it!

As always Karina Espinosa really brings it! Suspense, Romance and Fighting scenes that make the book really hard to put down. Characters that pull you into the book and makes you want to follow the series to find out what happens next to Mackenzie!
Mackenzie found a cure for vampirism for her friend Amy but now the council of Elders are voting on whether Amy can use the cure. Mackenzie is there when the vote goes against Amy but something goes wrong and now Mackenzie has to run for her life. Now not only are the vampires looking for her but so is the SIU, the special unit in the LAPD which Mackenzie works for. The Vampires want revenge and the LAPD want to arrest her. What’s a girl to do?
To find out you’ll need to read the book but I recommend that you start with book 1 if you haven’t already read it. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in the Mackenzie Grey series.

Good gravy what a ride! Curse Breaker was a start to finish read and leaves you wanting more. The action is intense, the relationships steal your heart, the twists and turns make your mouth drop in surprise and new developments make you ask, what is going to happen next?!
With her friends life on the line, Mackenzie makes choices she thinks she needs to make without necessarily thinking her actions through but that really gives to her character and always has. Mackenzie is who she is and she and shes all for putting herself at risk if that means helping someone she loves...even if it's not always the smart thing to do.
Another great addition to the Mackenzie Grey series. I'm very excited to see what happens next!

Another amazing addition to the series

This series is one of my favorite books series hands down. The characters are so amazing. Mackenzie has shown growth in every book since the first. But the strength and will power she showed in this book was unbelievable.
Curse Breaker was action packed from the beginning and right through to the end. What a great way to start things off. Once again I was pulled into Mackenzie's world and went on another wild ride. She has a tendency to act before thinking things all the way through. And boy did she do that in Curse Breaker. I don't want to give away any spoilers. I just want to add that if you haven't read this series you simply must. It is unbelievably awesome!

I have loved Mackenzie Grey through so many incredible moments. Through tragic and shocking deaths (we all know which one specifically comes to mind, but yes, that one too), through unbelievable discoveries, and through one of the greatest character developments I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. When I read Mackenzie Grey, I feel more confident, I feel like I really can half shift and defend my loved ones. This next installment is nothing less than fantastic. I can’t wait to see where we go next.
