Danger and desire...
For one Interstellar Bride, they prove an irresistible mix...

Whitney Mason is the daughter of a Wall Street con man. When he is sent to prison and her family's name is destroyed, she is eager for a new life on a new world. Anywhere but Earth. Tested by the Interstellar Brides Program, she is matched to a strong Viken warrior. What she doesn't know is that her mate and the other two warriors waiting to claim her are on a secret and dangerous mission for the Coalition Fleet's Intelligence Core. From the moment she arrives on Viken, they are forced to lie to her... about everything... except their desire...

For Alarr, Oran and Teig, the arrival of a bride is an unexpected complication. The timing couldn't be worse, but IC command is thrilled. A bride is the perfect cover, giving the fighters access to every inch of the famous pleasure resort where they are working undercover. The males are eager to satisfy their new mate, but keeping her safe is their top priority, even if that means lying to her and using her pleasure to take down the enemy. However, their sexy mate's past will come back to haunt them all, for even if they survive the mission, the truth will be revealed, and their beautiful, curvy female can forgive anything - except lies!

I LOVE Grace's Interstellar Bride Program series. So you are probably wondering why I went to 4 stars. While I usually go a straight 5 star when it comes to these books and can't put these books down. But with this one, I couldn't connect totally with Whitney. She didn't do it for me. I mean, I finished the book and enjoyed it. But she didn't connect for me, so that made the story not as exciting for me as it should have been.

Whitney has a problem with people and trusting them. So that is a massive theme with this story. When her mates end up not telling her everything, she ends up running away and getting into trouble. For me, I couldn't tell if that was a "human" thing or a "childish" thing.

These are my pet peeves. Whitney does grow up by the end of the book. I have no complaints when it comes to Alaar, Oran, and Teig... :) I mean, how could you.

Viken Command (Interstellar Brides Program, #18) by Grace Goodwin Viken Command (Interstellar Brides Book 18) By: Grace Goodwin
I Absolutely LOVE Each & EVERY 'Interstellar Brides' Story; It's An Outta This World Series!
After Her Earthly LIFE implodes,
She becomes an Interstellar Bride!
That's when She's sent to a PL€@$U®€ Resort,
To meet ALL THREE of Her Mates!
Only they aren't WHAT they seem...
As they are inconveniently ON a Mission when She arrives,
But instead of com'n clean...
They keep Her IN the Dark, effectively lying to Her,
Which IS a Huge NO-NO with their MATE...
Even though I already owned Grace Goodwin's "Viken Command (Interstellar Brides Book 18) (Interstellar Brides Book 18)," I agreed to review it as an ARC for Her via B00|{$P®0UT. I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time... Happy Reading!
1🌟:Hate IT! Didn't finish; usually only given if/when some contents truly objectionable (i.e. main characters does something awful & gets away w/it!)
2🌟:Don't like IT! Rating means I felt the writing was poor, editing was bad, I don't care for characters, or book had some major flaw.
3🌟: I like IT, BUT! There are minor issues... Rating means there's editing issues, needs character development, is too unrealistic, or has issues– I do not consider it an overall bad rating.
4🌟:I like IT a lot. Great, Solid Story w/ few if any inconsistencies or errors. This is a HIGH Rating, & I rarely give OUT a Higher Rating.
5🌟: I LOVE IT! It's Spectacular, & I'll read IT Over & Over Again. Few books Receive this rating from me. HowEver, those that DO become Classics.

Eh. I was bored.

It was formulaic but at the same time overly rushed. Most of the book was in their heads. The was no bonding build up for them to fall in love. They literally were only together for s e x time. And the time was uninteresting and unstimulating. And then the over reaction of feelings that haven’t even had time to develop was ridiculous and simply for page filler. There really wasn’t any story here. Like I said I was bored.

I felt sorry for the second set of mates that GG brought in towards the end. I didn’t think that was fair to get their hopes up for a mate and then take it away like that. They were sweet and I was more interested in them then in all the rest of this book combined. I would love to get a book for Kayson, Geros and Mal. I was really rooting for them to get the girl. But that obviously couldn’t have happened. Smh. That would be the next Viken book I hope!

Also I find the Queen super annoying in every appearance she makes since her book. Her character has turned stupid. A brainless dimbo who is only there as filler and not as a vital plot guider as the author intended.

Either way, it took me so long to read this book and that’s that I skimmed most of it because I kept wandering off to do anything else then stay in this boring story. Nothing grabbed me other then the last three Vikens I mentioned above and then once they were gone I was back to extreme annoyance that I still had more left to read before this book was over. And I believe the next book is with Helion, an unlikable character as the lead. Ugh. I’m not looking forward to that! GG is a wonderful writer but this book was flat. Enjoy. I still look forward to her books but not this one or Helion’s upcoming book. I can’t wait to get past these two. Enjoy.

Viken Command is the eighteenth book in the Interstellar Brides series, and while there’s an overarching storyline for the series, this book reads well as a stand alone. Whitney is tired of being punished for the sins of her family on Earth, so she volunteers to be an Interstellar Bride. But while she feels an immediate connection to her three mates, can she handle their secrets?

Wow, this book grabbed my emotionally right from the very beginning and I loved each page of this book! Alarr, Oran, Teig, and Whitney had action, secrets, passion, love, and even a bit of heartache. I think one of my favorite parts of this book was that it answered random little questions I’ve had about this series, like what happens to same sex couples. Another favorite part of this book was seeing how Whitney responded to her mates, with an open and trusting heart, with anger, with hurt, and with love. I liked the journey she had to travel through in order to accept her past and reconcile it with her present situation and her mates. I loved how each of the men provided something different for Whitney, didn’t always love what they had to do, but did what they needed to keep Whitney safe. The Viken males are so much fun and I loved being back in this world! This is such a fantastic series, only getting better with each book, and I loved this addition!

I will start off by saying I LOVE her stories but this one? I’m having a hard time getting over the deceit and lies they held on to. That makes them unredeemable for me. Even their ending doesn’t feel real to me. Sorry but that wouldn’t have been me.

LUST—LOVE—DESIRE—NEED—TRUST

As with the other Interstellar Bride books by Ms. Grace Goodwin, they read great as a continuing saga, but each book will read well as a stand-alone. In this story, Whitney Mason from Earth will volunteer for the bride's program and to leave Earth and all the troubles behind caused by her family. She will be matched as mate to Vikens, Alarr, Oran, and Teig. Vikens males mate as three to one female. The males will each be chosen from a different sector of Viken.

“I’d never been pushed out of my comfort zone when it came to sex. But I knew that was going to change, and the thought both thrilled and terrified me. Started over. Remember that. No rules. No history. Just me. And them. My mates. All three of them.”

The problem with the testing and sending females to their chosen mates is that the computer system does not take into account where the males are at the time. They will receive a quick warning that a mate is on the way. For Alarr, Oran, and Teig, they are IC and on an undercover mission at Trixon Pleasure Resort on Planet Viken. They are limited to what they can do and how they will claim their new mate, Whitney. In the tradition of the Viken, a true claiming will include three males, claiming their female.

“I wanted three. All three. Dedicated to me. Touching me. Taking care of me. My family had been a mess my whole life. Liars. Con men. Thieves. Not to be trusted. I had always—always—had to take care of myself. It would be so amazing and wonderful to be able to trust someone else. Three someones. I could trust my new mates. Finally, I could trust someone. Fall in love. Give them everything. I’d already given up my world, my planet. Everything I knew. For Alarr and Teig and Oran. My mates.”

The story has mystery, suspense, passion, secrets, and angst. Not everything is as it seems, and things don’t always work out as planned. While each of the three is attentive to her when they are with her, they are issues—and what happened to the claiming? Whitney has thirty days to accept the match or request a new one. Has the past with her family clouded her judgment with the present? Whitney doesn’t know who or what to believe—has she been naïve in trusting her chosen mates? Have they made a fatal error in keeping her in the dark about their mission? She is the one who must decide if she will accept them or allow Warden Egara to find her a new match.

“We’d wronged Whitney in so many ways. Used her mind, her body—and her heart against her. We’d lied. Deceived. Used. Yes, we’d been following orders, but that did not lessen Whitney’s pain. We should have trusted her, as she had trusted us.”

“Trust can only be given if someone possesses two traits, the courage to take a chance on knowing someone might hurt you, and the confidence to know you’re strong enough to survive if they do.”

The story will bring Whitney, Alarr, Oran, and Teig together, and yet they must learn how to join their lives and responsibilities. Sometimes the job will not allow emotions to come into play—but just maybe there is a way to have a bit of give and take. The chemistry between Whitney and her chosen mates sizzles on the pages, and they just feel right together. When it comes down to it, each person or alien needs someone that is in their corner has their best interest at heart and has the love and passion for making life better. Not everyone needs to be judged based on what happened to you in the past—just look towards the future.

“One dark playboy, one fair dominant, one red-haired alpha leader who kept us all connected. A gray uniform, a brown uniform, and a black one.”

I have never been disappointed in an Interstellar Brides book. Even though the Atlans are my favorites among the different alien species in this series and the Vikens my least favorites, every single book is at least a good read with most being great.

Even though this book is set on Viken, these three warriors are part of the Coalition's I.C. and once their mission is through, they will return to their post with the Zeus Battlegroup (so, it has nothing to do with the politics on Viken and the troubling VSS). And because it has nothing to do with the war against the Hive, it is truly a standalone.

This book seems shorter than previous books and Whitney gets the most characterization. Alaar, Oran, and Teig are given physical descriptions and a little bit of personality traits to help distinguish them from each other. There are some hot scenes as Whitney's mates try and keep her occupied and out of harm's way. It is a fairly quick read (it only took me about 2 hours) with a small twist towards the end. While this story has a happy ending for Whitney and her Vikens, my heart was hurting for Kayson and his friends (read the book - that's all I'll say) and I honestly felt that Kayson and crew were more intriguing and compassionate than other characters in the story (all fingers crossed that Kayson and his friends are the next to hit the Interstellar lottery).

Overall, another good book, just not one of my favorites, as I prefer Hive action or Colony heartaches or just a big freakin' Atlan!

Whitney Mason wants off of Earth as her family lied, cheated and finally got caught in a Ponzi scheme to defraud people of their life savings. Even though she was innocent, her father and brother used her high school and college contacts to get their hands on her friends' family monies...and lied to her about it. She no longer can get a job or call on anyone she knows, so she volunteers to become a bride. She is matched to planet Viken, to Alarr who chooses the way of the three kings, one from each sector and invites Tieg and Oran to join his family unit and together be mated to Whitney. There is a problem though as all three are undercover for an IC mission to find and stop Coalition arms smuggling through a Viken Pleasure Resort where they are currently employed as security...of course they are under orders not to talk about their mission...but you will need to read this story to see what happens to the new best friend of the Viken queen and her mates...I voluntarily read this story through an Advanced Reader Copy.

This is a fantastic story! I loved every minute of it. I was swept into the story from the first page. I love this series and was thrilled to go back to the Viken world. I find this world interesting in having 3 different sectors with different kinks that work together in protecting their bride.

Whitney needs to get off Earth after her father and brother were convicted as con men. She had nothing to do with it but that doesn't stop people from judging her. She is matched to the Viken world where she will have three mates. Alarr, Oran and Teig are back on their home planet to complete a mission for IC. They are told not to tell her of their mission. They are thrilled to have a mate even if it is a bad time. Will they be able to keep her safe?

Viken Command by Grace Goodwin is part of her Interstellar Brides Program.
Whitney Mason has had enough trouble to attend the interstellar brides program and is about to leave earth, ready to be matched to an alien warrier.
And they gets matched right away to Viken males.
The Captains Alarr, Oran and Teig are on a secret, mission when they learn they were matched to an Earth bride. They're happy to oblige, but it's a case of wrong time, wrong place. What happens next is the worst they could do - sorry no sorry no spoilers here. Only so much theyir actions are the reason for Whitney to act. She has major trut issues, with good reason.
Viken Command is another nsfw read that had me on the edge of my seat from start til the end. 4,5 Stars.

I loved this and the twists it took! Whitney leaves earth so that she can escape her past after her family becaame notorious for a major crime! She meets Alarr, Tieg and Oran her new Viken mates but they are on a mission for the IC and this puts everything in jeopardy, inculding the mating! The storyline flows well and the characters are good! I especially loved the return of Leah and her kings! and, oooh how i hated Helion! Still a very good read and I recommend it to all who love the genre, or those still on the fence too!

Enjoyed the book. To escape all of the lies and the deceit, Whitney tests for the Interstellar Brides Program and is matched the same day to Alarr an alien warrior and is transported within hours. Alarr chooses Tieg and Oran to also mate with Whitney as is the custom of their people. Unfortunately they are in the middle of a top secret mission and their commander orders them not to tell her any of this, and that is where things start to go wrong. The story is well written, entertaining and holds your attention. There is a lot going on in this story which keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. This is a great continuation of this series and I would highly recommend it.

Interstellar Brides, three times the fun...
Whitney is anxious to leave Earth after her families lies and betrayal turned her into a pariah. She goes to Interstellar Brides and is transported to her three matched Viken mates. The timing for their new mates arrival couldn’t be worse. Captain Alarr, Oran, and Teig are in the middle of a covert operation are ordered to lie to Whitley and use her to reinforce their cover. After her tumultuous past, Whitney won’t accept their deceit.

Sizzle times three. This book had me on the edge of my seat with tension that gripped my heart in a vice and didn’t let go from beginning to end. You jump in head first at the very first page, and I was alternately melting and feeling as if my heart was wrenched out of my chest. This author manages to keep this series fresh and is a testament to her ability to captivate her readers both old and new. If pressed to pick a favorite world, I would have to say the current one I’m reading; and I’m already anxious to see what treat to my imagination and senses awaits next.

Viken Command #18 07/21/2021

Whitney has volunteered for the interstellar brides program to get off earth because of her family’s crimes. They have made her life a living hell. Now she is on her way to Viken where sometimes you get three mates, yes three hunky Alien men. But she doesn’t know her three mates are undercover spy for the Coalition. And they don’t know what to do with her while they work. But it all starts to fall apart then it all goes wrong. So enjoy another great read and see if it works out for them!!

Love this series, it is packed full of lust, love, desire as well as action and adventure. This book is just a little different than the rest of the books as it is set on Viken and the bride has volunteered to be a bride. While they are on a secret mission Captains Alarr, Oran and Teig find out they are matched and while happy they are concerned since it is a case of wrong place, wrong time.

Whitney was SO frustrating. She was given important info at the start of the book, by the queen no less, and chose to ignore it. That led to all sorts of unnecessary misunderstandings. She was a well educated woman. Why couldn’t she use her education and past experiences to help her mates like the brides in previous books? My least favorite book by far; a major letdown.

Il potere dei Viken -programma spose interstellari libro n. 18

Vado già in ansia perché stanno finendo… devo rallentare…

Whitney Mason knew she was restrained in a chair being tested at the Interstellar Brides Processing Center. But the three guys were amazing! Warden Egara asked if she was okay, then smiled and told her the test was successful and she was matched to a Viken male – and they mate in units of three, one from each sector of their planet. Whitney was eager to meet her mates and to leave Earth. She had not committed a crime, but her family had used a pyramid scheme to steal millions from unsuspecting people. Everywhere Whitney went, he was treated badly, lost friends, could not get a job. She was innocent, but she was the one people could point at and blame.

The three men who had just been matched were deep undercover on a mission for the Coalition Fleet's Intelligence Core and arguing with Dr. Helion, their commander, that they could not allow their new mate to be there and in danger while they completed their mission tracking the illegal shipments of Coalition weapons being transferred on Viken at the Trixon resort. Leaving the mission now would blow their cover and all that work would be lost. Dr. Helion was not willing to let them go over a female, and they had to acknowledge that he was right. Captain Alarr, Oran, and Teig finally agreed to stay on the mission under certain conditions. Having their bride here would also give them access to more areas of the pleasure resort. This was the best compromise they could do – and she would be protected at all times.

But trust is all-important to Whitney. Because of her family, she will not tolerate or forgive lies for any reason, orders or not. When the truth comes out that her mates lied to her and did not divulge the truth of the situation, would she reject them, despite their love for each other?

Whitney want off the planet. Her family had done things that she had no part of but with her name, she was always a target. The one chance to get off the planet, IBP and she took it. Alarr, Oran, and Teig have a mission but they will not endanger their new mate. A mate that they have been waiting for. But with the mission causing them time apart from Whitney, and her starting to think things aren’t going well, we may have a problem.

I do love that Whitney had so many questions for Warden Egara’s. We get more information about the process. I did not like Commander Helion. He was a jerk. Alarr being the mate and having doubts about the mission and how they handled it was for good reason. Even Oran and Teig knew they needed to bond with Whitney first. But things didn’t go as planned. Why is it that males always think to keep the woman blind to what is going on. It never turns out well and they are always screwed. Such is the case. My heart broke for Whitney and I can understand her lack of trust with what her family had done. She needed to feel safe and have that trust and love. There is a part in the book that struck me funny. When Whitney referenced “online dating and swipe right for your mate.” That is what happens in “Alien Captive and Alien Tribute” by Golden Angel / Lee Savino’s books. (Please tell me we are going to get a story with Kayson, Geros and Mal. We cannot have these three Viken without a mate. And what about Commander Zeus. Will this new female be the one? )

I love this series. I am always interested in what the human brides are like and their backgrounds, and who they will be matched with. This is the 18th book in the series so you get pretty familiar with the different aliens, their strengths, their personalities, and their looks. The one thing they have in common is they treat their new bride as if the entire universe revolves around them. Whitney can’t wait to get off earth. Her family has done so many bad things that now have put her in a bad place even though she didn’t do anything. All she wanted was a life free of lies and betrayal. She was matched with not one but three mates. Can their relationship survive the undercover work her mates are doing and the fact that they have not come clean with who they really are and what they are doing? Like all the books in the series it not only has the main story of a relationship but I love all the action and the different planets and ships, and how everyone interacts with each other. Great HEA

Whitney, Alarr, Oran, and Teig.

Alarr is in the middle of a mission for the IC when he gets news that he has been matched with a bride. He, and his seconds are horrified that their mate will be in danger, and that they must lie to her.
Whitney was a volunteer, determined to leave earth and her lying family behind. This is her new start... mates don’t lie, do they?

Whitney has understandable trust issues, and her mates do the usual dominant thing, and try to keep her out of danger, while not telling her anything
This can only lead to misunderstanding and misery, so the results were predictable.
That being said, I did feel for the other potential mates, and I hope they get a happily ever after soon!
As with most of the interstellar brides books, this starts off with a bang (of course 😜), and thrusts our heroine into the middle of a war zone.
It’s a fast paced, sexy and action filled sci-fi romance, that all fans of the genre are sure to enjoy.

This is the 18th story of Interstellar Brides. Each can be read as a stand-alone, but they are so great you might as well read them all. The premise is standard, Earth women are wanted by every humanoid race to help continue their species. When a woman volunteer to go to Interstellar Brides, they know they will not be coming back to Earth. When they are matched, they are sent immediately to their match. Some of the women go to IB because they have come out of a bad relationship with a human male, it could be legal reasons, it could be they are running from something. You may get one mate, two mates or even three mates depending on the species. Things always turn up well for the women! The only downside is, nobody checks to make sure it is good timing on the male's side of things. The Bride may be sent into the middle of a battlefield or in this story's case, in the middle of an undercover investigation.

Whitney has had a hard time because her father is a con artist who is now in prison. She wants to be anywhere except on Earth. She just wants to start over and be surrounded by the truth for a change. When she gets to her mate, rather mates, something seems off. There is always at least one of her mates gone, never all three together, and it seems like there is a secret being kept from her. She has a very low threshold for dishonesty due to her dear old dad.

Alarr, Oran and Teig are undercover on a Pleasure Planet. The perfect place to take a new lover or honeymoon. There are suspicions that there is some sort of smuggling going on and they need to uncover it. When their mate shows up, their supervisor says that it is perfect cover with them being on a Pleasure Planet. They know that they are close to figuring out how the smuggling is going on and who is involved but with their new bride, their most important job is to keep her safe. Things start to come to a head when she realizes that because they all haven't been together, that maybe they don't want her.

I have always enjoyed this series but I have to say the female narrator leaves something to be desired. Her voice is good but she needs to fluctuate her voice accordingly..when she is outraged or said or pleasured it all sounds alike.

Now the female character is self-centered and does not think...I was put off by her and even when she realized she was wrong she didn't apologize but they apologized to her.

I enjoy the series but I have to ask what is wrong with people not thinking things through and allowing people the chance to explain. I mean a lot could have been avoided if she just sat down and told them her issues.

But all in all I thi know Viken males are clearly great after Atlen males of courae...lol

Tense tear-jerker

This outer space alien adventure is unique from Ms. Goodwin's other Interstellar Brides stories. Not that all the other stories are similar because her talent for coming up with different plots seems endless. But this one brought me to tears...not sad tears, happy ones...and they streamed down my cheeks in rivers. While the sensual scenes are always hot, the emotions in this one were overwhelming for me.

Our FMC left Earth because of her own family's deceit, expecting a new start with mates from Viken, but she was deceived again. When she learns the truth, will she be able to forgive them, or will she try to move on, again, with yet new mates? This is where you will want to keep a box of tissues handy.

Beautifully written. Beautiful read.

The Viken’s Rule...

Grace’s interstellar bride series is the best with its action adventure and seriously hot coalition fighters.. this time we go back to Viken..
Alarr, Oran and Tieg are in the middle of tracking down a load of stolen weapons when they find out they have been matched to a bride and being in the middle of a dangerous op they break of to meet her..
Whitney has left earth for good...her family has seriously disgraced themselves and Whitney is having big problems overcoming that fact..
But in true Grace style nothing is what it seems..I just love reading this series.

Believe the reviews

Okay, I liked the sex scenes( way to few). I very much disliked the ending. I disliked that other people told the main characters what was going on and how they should interpret it. There was no “growth” in the relationship between the characters because they never talked. I was hoping for a 4 star and got a dud or a short novella peddled as a book. Not much information on the male characters so no getting attached to them, so no rooting for the HEA. Because they authors skipped them talking things through.

Trusting her mates

Imagine finding out that you are fated to be claimed by not one but three hot aliens. Whitney has just been tested and told that she has been mated to three men from the planet Vixen and then she is transported. What happens then is what makes this book a delight to read and why I would highly recommend it to all readers who enjoy a great romantic love story with a twist.
