I'm alive. After everything, I didn't expect to be. In spite of my injuries, I'm healing. In the Fae realm. With my five protectors by my side. My lovers. My mates.
My mates.
They're real, and they're mine, offering me a life that I never dreamed was possible.
Now gifted with a power that I don't understand and cannot control, I've been thrust into an unfamiliar world. Danger still haunts my steps, the fae who cursed me still wants me dead, and she won't stop until I am.
We're running out of time.
The Goddess gave me this magic, now I have to learn how to use it to protect myself and those I love... before it's too late.
EUPHORIA is a full-length reverse harem romance, and the second in a series. Beware of cliff-hangers!
Devyn Sinclair writes steamy Reverse Harem romances for your wildest fantasies. Every sexy story is packed with the right amount steam, fiery hot men, and delicious happy endings.
She lives in the wilds of Montana in a small red house with a crazy orange cat. When Devyn's not writing, she spends time outside in big sky country, continues her quest to find the best lemon pastry there is, drinks a lot of tea and buys too many books. (Of course!)
It’s a far cry from the fast paced “race through Allywn” that we had in book 1.
It’s really well written and I love the flowery formal style language. The sex was plentiful and seriously hot. The only problem was I just got bored and I’m so damn fickle right now, I can’t find the book I want.
DNF. This wasn’t particularly bad but it’s just really boring? And the romance was basically instalove for every single one of them so it’s not like there’s much to look forward to with the romance either…I can’t imagine how there’s even enough plot and relationships to drag this out into a six book series
And the book two continues in the same beautiful writing, and I loved it as much as the first one, perhaps even more. Well, if read one after the other, it feels like reading one book, there is wonderful world building, character growth, and shift in group dynamics, and all of it in a beautiful consistent way. Obviously, there is more happening in this book because Kari is better and they all got to know each other and the romance is not a slow burn anymore. So there is that super hot element to the story, which I also loved. I also loved how the author further developed all the characters, especially Kari. Kari is getting stronger, more in tune with herself and everything that is happening to her. It was a second huge change in her life, and she is adapting. Time is running out, so she does not have much time to take things slowly, but she is amazing in just making the best out of any situation life throws at her without complaining. As we get to know the guys better, we get to know the world better as well. The author uses characters' pasts and personalities to present the world of Allwyn to the reader and I loved it. Because not only that her descriptions were vivid, detailed and beautiful, she connected every piece of the world to at least one of the characters in some way. I loved this book so much, it was a great continuation of the story and I am not ashamed to admit that I timed my reading with the next release so I could immediately jump into the next book, which I did. I absolutely love this series! Books only make sense if read in order: Fevered (The Carnal Court Book 1), Euphoria (The Carnal Court Book 2), and Shameless (The Carnal Court Book 3).
Now that Kari’s life has been saved, it’s one less thing to have to worry about. Unfortunately, she knows that she isn’t free of Ariana and then there’s the fact that she has mates. Brae, Aeric,Urien, and Verys have accepted that they all share a mate not just amongst one another, but with human Kent. But Kari is still keeping a secret from them, how will they react when they find out? Meanwhile, can they keep Kari safe? Can she learn to keep herself safe?
I’m loving this series. Fae are one of my fave supernatural creatures, and the world that Devyn has built is fascinating. While a few questions are answered in this book, there are so many more left unanswered. We get to see a lot more of Kari since she’s actually conscious in this book, which allows us to see the relationships between the mates growing. Kari is a fascinating character because she’s so out of her depth in this new world, but she hates being helpless. She’s forced to rely on her men more than she wishes, but she doesn’t let that stand. She’s too strong and is willing to learn whatever she needs to so that she can defend herself. It’s nice to see her not just sit back on her laurels and wait for them to save her. I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes in the next book.
This review contains spoilers for book 1, Fevered!
We pick up right where Fevered left off, now that she has been healed Kari is learning to adjust to life in the Carnal Court with her 5 mates: Brae, Verys, Aeric, Urien and Kent. But this new life is not uncomplicated for long. Ariana is still after Kari and her magic and will stop at nothing to get to her. Including sending a mysterious man who turns out to be Kari’s 6th mate (a secret that she has yet to share with the other men).
This sequel is full of adventure, magic, and a heck ton of spice! Some sequels, especially in fantasy series’, don’t live up to the first novel. That is not the case with this one! The story moves along quickly and the spice level is kicked up a notch. I was sucked right into this one and couldn’t put it down and will be starting the next one immediately!

I’m reading Carnal Court: The Complete Series and reviewing each book as I finish them.
next to no progress is made in this book to address the cliffhanger, if you can even call it that, at the end of book 1. and next to nothing new is revealed about the villain. the main plot points are pretty forced and predictable.
if Verys is your favorite of Kari’s mates, you’ll probably enjoy this book, because they spend the most time together. if you’re here for RH smut, you’ll be disappointed. I think that’s coming in book 3.
This book was moved at a fast pace. Now that the fmc isn’t running for her life and the only way to live was to Fu(k the plot starts to unfold. We still don’t know why Ariana is after the fmc but her men rally around the fmc. Keeping her safe and protected even when Verys had to bring her back to his childhood home. I can’t wait for the moment that Darren gets his comeuppance. Stupid jerk! Can’t wait to read what’s next!
Euphoria, book 2 of The Carnal Court series, by Devyn Sinclair @devyn_sinclair. I am a huge fan of Devyn’s & this book was no different!
This was an awesome 2nd installment for Kari, Brae, Verys, Kent, Urien, & Aeric & we got introduced to Kieran! 💜 If you like RH, no MM, Fae, PNR, some more murder attempts, a new Fae dimension & fated mates, then you'll love this series.
Even better than the first. Lots of action and heat. I love that Kari realized she belongs in the Carnal Court and can tie up loose ends in the human realm. I also love that Verys get closure with his previous life. I cannot wait to find out more about Mark's last mate.
It’s actually really annoying that she made such a big fuss about them not telling her anything but she’s not telling them this very important information like……I’d literally leave her sorry
Woohoooo....This just keeps getting better and better. More steamy, steamy smut, more revelations, mysterious to unveil, kick ass action in gorgeous clothes of course and a whole rollercoaster of emotions.
I mean really....this series is just firing on all cylinders.
This plot could easily be overwhelmed with smut but I think we have a good mix without this being purely erotica. We are finally learning about this mysterious mate and I can’t wait for more answers!
Great second book in the series! Kari is fighting hard to learn and fight for safety! I love the way the characters are learning and growing together. Excellent story and writing. I can't wait to see where the rest goes!
I have to say that Ariana is quite the villain we alk love to hate. Can't wait to find out the why. So glad that Kiaran isn't really evil but now my heart hurts for him. Love how alk the rest love her though.
I feel like this is a "filler" with a lot of build up for what's gonna come later and I'm good with that. It wasnt drawn out and I love the character development and how she introduces her mate. This is so freaking good. Definitely gonna continue the series.
Doing a joint review for the whole series. First off never had a book with my name in it so obviously going to love the FMC just for repping my name lol. Seriously though Kari and her men gave me all the feels. Smiles, laughs and actually cried with Lari when she was in the closet. I felt that scene in my bones. Devyn does a great job with painting a picture. I have never wanted to be in a fictional realm as much as I did this. The crystal court sounded STUNNING! Great quick reads!
The story starts off exactly where it left off in book one. Then it gets better and more spicy. It’s a shorter read, but the characters are so lovable and original. Then there’s the plot twist….
Loved it. The magic, world building and interaction between characters is awesome. Plus her “lost” mate is going to be juicy drama getting him into the group.
This is the second book in a Fae Reverse Harem series. Kari is now based in Allwyn (where all the fae live) as her mates believe that to go back to Earth would risk her life. She agrees, but is reluctant to let go of her normal life. She convinces them to let her visit to let her friends know she is alive and to get her most precious possessions. The trip does not go well.
The story covers Kari and her mates trying to hide from Ariana, the fae who wants Kari’s magic, and trying to learn how to use the magic gifted to her by Cerys, the goddess who sacrificed her existence to make Allwyn.
Kari wants to go on the offensive with Ariana, but her mates are not as comfortable with the idea as she is.
The plot is really good in this book and it’s filled to the brim with hot and sexy scenes between Kari and her mates. There are quite a few typos, but I tried to skim over those, but for those people who hate them with a passion, here’s your warning. Other than that, it was an easy and enjoyable read, that flows naturally in a way that draws you in.
I absolutely loved this second installment in Kari’s story. It was so nice to see her connect with her mates without all the pain and suffering. She is easily likable and I can’t wait to see where her story goes from here.
