Born in Tokyo in 1961, Hikaru Hayashi started his activity as a manga artist after graduating from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tokyo Metropolitan University. After working as an assistant, he made his professional debut with the manga Story of Aja Kong, then went on to found the manga and design agency Go office in 1997. Since then he has created more than 250 manuals on drawing manga, many of which have been successful internationally.
Great anatomy book! The best one I've found so far, at least for drawing comics and manga. Most complaints I've read about this book is that it's not manga oriented. But that's the best part, it is focused on how the body and muscles all work together in a more realistic way so that you can learn the muscle groups and such for whatever type of drawing your going to do. So many body variations and angles, I carry this in my drawing satchel wherever I go.
Very helpful. Really does a good, in-depth job of explaining different parts of anatomy and the way the body moves. I am not a Manga artist but this still helped me learn parts of anatomy.
This book is shameful besides not teaching you much and having ugly drawings this book has too provocative and even pornographic poses and the shameful parts are too detailed so I encourage everyone to boycott similar books and also the other graphic-sha and Hikaru Hayashi books that also take consumers as idiots because there are only perverts and stupid people who like this kind of book and I swear if I could I would have put 0 stars see less.
