From an early age Miranda Brock has always loved fantasy and adventure everything. Since she doesn't live in a world of enchanting powers, mythical beasts, and things unbelievable she has decided to write about them. (Although, if you happen to see a dragon flying around, do tell her.) Born in southern Illinois, where she still resides with her husband and two children, she grew up running through the woods, playing in creeks, and riding horses. What started out as writing poetry grew into short stories and eventually led to her first novel, Souls Discovered. Miranda lives in the country where she finds inspiration in the simplicity and beauty around her. With the help of a ridiculous amount of coffee and some good music she writes whenever she gets a chance.

Love a good book with everything in it. Plot was good, characters are well written, and couldn't put it down.
And the adventure continues in this magical story. Of a girl named Olivia, who is supposedly more than what she seems. And now everyone is after her. She wants her life back and not have to worry about saving the world and all that junk. But it seems that life for her is over and she needs to man up. Will they be able to stop Vehrin from the destruction he's wants to rot on the world? Or will she and her friends fail?

Archaeologist Olivia Perez and PITO Agent Kael are back trying to find the fourth key while also staying alive from the powers that evil dark mage Vehrin is unleashing across the world as he does what he can to beat them to it and complete his goal of destroying life on the world as we know it As Olivia is the only one who can use the fourth key to stop him it becomes a desperate race as they search for the key while finding more out about the source of Olivia's powers as well as the curse that she carries within her. As a fate that Olivia is not prepared to accept is shown from her past, the war comes to a head on a long-forgotten mountain top - can Olivia prevail and destroy Vehrin or as part of it will she then succumb to eternal damnation?

Wow - this was a great book to draw all of the threads in the series together and come to a conclusion to the series. There were a great number of choices that Livie had to make and with the help of Kael's grounding presence she was able to make all of the right decisions and not give in to the curse. I loved the way their relationship finally had the resolution that we all wanted them to have and that neither side had to become anything that they were not. This was full of danger, drama, excitement, plots and decisions that we were all taken on with the characters as they worked their way through the various issues they encountered. Well written, this was easy to understand and it was also easy to empathise with the characters and live through the events as they did themselves. You need to read the whole trilogy as it will not make much sense if you try to read the last one without the previous ones.

Sometimes, evil could only be defeated with a greater darkness…

"I didn't care. Let us burn "- Livvie

and Kael face their greatest challenge: defeat Vehrin or watch the world die. In an attempt to seek out help, Livvie and Kael approach the vampire king, Xavier. However, their plan to seek assistance from the vampires are upended when Xavier demands the keys from Livvie.

"Their agony was sweet, and their cries and groans were like a lullaby. I wanted to hum with their anguish and dance in their blood." - Livvie

Livvie and Kael find themselves in an untenable position, and barely escape with their lives. Battered and exhausted, Livvie and Kael decide to approach Karl's former lover, Ziba. Ziba agrees to help... But with strings attached...

This book... How do I find the words? Indescribable, haunting, enthralling... Such insipid, colorless "words" I use in an effort to describe a veritable masterpiece! An amazing, absorbing, "you won't put it down until the final word" masterpiece! The subtle hints of a rising, insidious darkness, the epic internal battles that Livvie must face... Gossamer threads that bind tighter than titanium weld, yet lighter than a wind-blown kiss... The sheer glory that Miranda Brock and Rebecca Hamilton invoke as they weave their tapestry of magic and mayhem, death and life, betrayal and love... How do I find the words....?

The Marked Earth: The Cursed Key Trilogy Book 3 brings us an action-packed, suspenseful ending to the Cursed Key saga. Hamilton and Brock take us to exotic places full of shifters, witches, and fae, and through harrowing experiences that build dramatically from book to book. Kael and Olivia grow in their bond, and in The Marked Earth come to realize that they are one another's destiny. This book builds to a very suspenseful and dramatic battle between Olivia and her allies and the dark mage and his minions. There is a brutal betrayal that makes life even more challenging for Oliva and Kael as they try to solve the mystery of how to rid the world of the dark mage and the curse that has Olivia's soul. She finds out many more things about her past life and comes to understand the level of sacrifices required to save the world.

As an underscore, the Cursed Key Trilogy deals with social issues, such as bigotry. It does so in a way that makes it clear that what divides also divides our humanity and makes it easier for those things in the world that will destroy us to do so.

On one hand, I’m so sad that this series is coming to an end, but I was so excited to finally see where things led! Olivia and Kael have been racing around the world in search of magic keys that will help them defeat Vehrin. So much has happened, from Olivia and Kael’s ever changing, complicated relationship that spans lifetimes, Olivia’s soul is bound to a key, and PITO may be working against them. Can they save the world if they can’t even recognize their enemies?

What an amazing conclusion! The suspense has been building since book one, with new twists and turns along the way. The author has done such a great job of adding new conflicts and characters without muddling the story, or getting off track from the main storyline. This series has been so well written, and this book is no different. Definitely worth the time, especially to finally see the showdown between Vehrin, Olivia, and her allies.

This final book in this trilogy was brilliant - fast paced, energetic, nerve-wracking, full of treachery and power! Olivia and Kael still only have 2 out of the 4 keys they need, whilst Vehrin, the unbeatable (so far) mage has the third one. It's a race against time and around the world to get the final key before Vehrin does. If he manages it before Olivia and Kael, the whole world may just come to an end!

Friends and friends-turned-foes help to solve the riddle of where these keys might be, but no-one except for Renathe is really on Olivia's side. There's too many people out for themselves without thinking of the bigger picture and when the final battle does take place, there's not much support for them either. Well not much without a deal being made anyway!

The great battle was brilliant and to be honest, I didn't think the ending was going to be successful until the very last couple of chapters! This series was fantastic and highly recommended if you like magic, shapeshifters, fae, mages and a bit of archaeology thrown in the mix as well!

Love the action and adventure in this series! Olivia and Kael find themselves in many near death experiences. This is book 3 and provides conclusions for the magical key issues, so definitely start at the beginning with book 1. It’s been a entertaining, fun series to read! In this one, Olivia and Kael, are on the hunt for the 4th magical key to take down evil mage, Vehrin. Unfortunately, he’s not the only one out to get them, so there’s dangerous situations all over for Olivia and Kael; these 2 don’t know who they can trust. Olivia is also dealing with the darkness she is cursed with; things are looking really dire for her. Luckily, Kael and Olivia have each other; some really sweet moments between them, and it’s so great how supportive and protective Kael is. The is satisfactory, but did still leave me feeling sad. Still I’ve really enjoyed this whole series and the characters! Totally entertaining!

Why do all buy guys want to end the world? Fortunately, our heroine and hero are going to do their best to stop it, if only they can get a little help.

This is book three, and the conclusion, of the series. That makes this a rather poor place to start (but I did anyway).

This is an rather fast paced young adult urban fantasy story. I found the story to be well written and easy to read, with lots of action. While I don't know how well it tied into past books, this one came together well for me. I found the characters to be engaging and the setting quite interesting, and with all that action, I was never bored. I suspect it would have been even more fulfilling if I had the background, but I certainly didn't have to worry about any cliffhangers this way. Overall, a very enjoyable story.

Highly recommended

Olivia and Kael are back in the final installment of the trilogy. They now have to find the fourth key to stop the evil mage from taking over the earth. They will travel from the states to Iran to other areas and come into contact with gryphons, religious men, dragons, dragon riders, and other shifters. Trusted comrades will turn on them and betray them. The will runs for their lives. The world is turning to chaos! But, they will make their final stand with the dragons! More memories come back to Livvie as she seeks the answers needed to stop the mage. Who will perish and survive In the final battle? What will become of the keys? Will Kael and her keep the mating bond? This book has a HEA but the journey they take to get there is fraught with evil~ I received this via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review.

Olivia and Kael have discovered that there is one more key to find in order to defeat the dark mage. Their search is made that much more difficult by the chaos Vehrin unleashes on the world by his growing powers.

Beautifully well written, and compelling characters that race against time to save the world from an evil bent on it's total destruction. Exciting, action packed, magic, betrayal, and sometimes suspenseful read. This book has plenty of twists in the plot that it kept me on the edge of my seat, and turning the pages from the first to the last. I think this is a fantastic conclusion to an awesome series. I loved it!

Olivia and Kael are still searching for the fourth key with Vehrin dogging their steps though they’ll still need him to unlock whatever the magic whozit. But the lovers have more pressing issues such as deciding on their bond and navigating the crater-filled landscape at PITO. Luckily, Ren comes through when he’s needed.

This leg of the quest sees jealousy and betrayals rear their ugly heads as friends and safety prove to be not as friendly or safe as Olivia and Kael need. During an attack, Olivia’s vision reveals she’s linked to Verhin by more than rivals in the key quest, and Vehrin possesses the final piece needed to beat back the darkness. It’s a race to the final key.

I just loved Olivia and Kael as well as the amazing world we got to go through in this series as well as this book, there were plenty more creatures to learn about and Olivia's reactions at times had me lol. There was plenty of action, flirting (not just by Ren ;) ) some twists and a few who turn on them and as much as it is a shock for some who when you reflect can see it happening but others ... just wow could not believe it!!! I am sad to see the end of the series but it is the perfect one to binge all three books now! 😃

This is a fantastic conclusion to the trilogy! Kael and Olivia again are traveling to remote areas of exotic countries in search of the last key to stop the dark mage. Renathe is back to assist. What will be the final heartbreaking sacrifice to save the world from Verhin's nefarious plan?
Wow! Heartstopping action! The characters are well defined. A lot of action, betrayal, love, sacrifice, what more could you want? I loved it!
While this works as a stand alone, it's much better to also read the 2 prior books to get the full experience. I highly recommend all 3!

To find the other key they will have to seek help from those who will betray them, as they fear Olivia’s dark side, but some friends come to their assistance. A veritable piece of paranormal delight. A fantastic story that held me captive from start to finish. Each page turning suspenseful line was filled with untold secrets, seductive excitement, touches of humor, a plethora of supernaturals and sweet romance. All encased within a story that is multi faceted, engaging, fun to a point that it almost seems real. You will get sucked into this roller coaster ride of adventure and want to never leave it.

This is the last book and probably the best of the trilogy. Every is resolved one way or another. After being transported to Iran by a Griffon shifter and all sorts of things going wrong, the key that Olivia and Kael is still to be found. The next stop is China and a totally different kind of shifter colony is discovered. It is here that everything comes to a head. Many extremely difficult decisions have to be made for the greater good of the earth and all its creatures.

Action-packed from the start to the finish. This book and series were fantastic. The characters came alive and you wanted to be part of their adventure. Olivia and Kael were definitely soulmates and could possibly find their happily ever after. The emotions the authors took you through was magical and I didn’t want to put it down. This one could not be missed had to have the last part. In the craziness of today this one was a great escape. Olivia takes us even deeper into this. The crescendo in this also takes us to a peak we did not think we could go. The paths in this are we ones we follow willingly with the danger bringing to the edge. Her and Kael and their hunt has us not wanting to miss a beat. It all comes together in this one with a bow.

What a way to end this trilogy. The settings are described so you feel you are there. The characters have grown so much. All the different characters and types are amazing. The world the authors created here is unique, complex, and engaging. There is a ton of action. There is suspense, betrayal, love, tension, and so much more. This is one that will be reread many times.

The story comes to its end in the third offering in the Cursed Key Trilogy. Olivia realizes a fate she doesn't want and a war comes to a head. Gripping, chilling, captivating...all words that inadequately describe this read as it is so much more. If you have come this far in the journey, finish it. You won't be disappointed.
