This book has almost no pictures, and quite frankly, that makes me sad. I'm from Poland, and one of those most satisfying visions in the world is a vast Polish feast spread in front of you... but this book really isn't about pictures. It's about meticulously collecting and cataloguing traditional Polish foods. You'll be able to reproduce authentic grandma-style food, but you will have to wait til you make it to see what it looks like.

All-encompassing compendium of Polish cooking. Old-fashioned recipe-writing with a lot of asides from the authors and helpful hints. Haven't tried anything as of yet, but it appeals to my own Polish heritage.
