The Canterville Ghost has waited 500 years for his final rest, but can never seem to get there. He haunts the castle, where he murdered his wife and was starved to death, trying to scare away all who stay there. He is successful until the Otis' move in and he is himself scared until he can convince one of the children to try to help free him from his life as a ghost. Sometimes it takes a scary book to catch a students attention to get them interested in reading so this book has the ability to do that at a young age without being too scary.
