A year's worth of Baby Blues comics with a special section and bonus materials celebrating the 30th anniversary of the beloved strip about parenting, kids, and the hilarity of family life
BB3X is a special Baby Blues treasury that celebrates three decades of one of the most heartwarming, funny, and true-to-life depictions of raising children ever seen in the funny pages. In addition to a year's worth of Baby Blues comics, this special collection sheds light on the unique collaborative process of Rick Kirkman and Jerry Scott, whose cartooning magic has helped transform some of the most stressful moments in life into some of the most hilarious. The book includes a forward from Rick, a reflection by Jerry, and a special "scrapbook" section of archival photographs, memorabilia, and illustrations from the duo's three decades of Baby Blues collaboration.
Rick Kirkman is a cartoonist and co-creator of the comic strip Baby Blues. He received the National Cartoonist Society Newspaper Comic Strip Award in 1995, and the Reuben Award in 2012 for his work on the strip. He also served as co-executive producer of The WB animated television series of Baby Blues.
Hysterical as are all the Baby Blues books. Perfect for When you want to escape to somewhere funny. I think there's a little bit of each family member in us
Solid collection of comic strips. Good to see one of a favorite from back in my newspaper-reading days is still going strong. The scrapbook section of strip history and behind-the-scenes material was fun to read as well.
I've been reading Baby Blues for many years and I reently acquired some additional compilations. Despite it's strange title, volume 37 is yet another hilarious enjoyable read any fan of the series will enjoy. Except that they are a little floppy and hard to handle except otherwise laying flat on a table, these newer Baby Blues books are so great to read. Large well-reproduced strips, many in color, and often interspaced with commentary from the creators. Despite running now for over 3 decades this strip remains fresh, well-written and always a fun joy to read. Any fan of the strip will love this book!
These types of books are perfect for a few occasions: 1. You want a chuckle. 2. Your headspace just isn’t in a place to focus on a book. 3. Your kid loves Baby Blues as much as you do so you take advantage of soaking in all the snuggles reading it together. 4. It’s December and you are still 4 books away from hitting your GoodReads yearly goal. Hey, if it can be found on GoodReads, it counts toward the total. 🤷🏻♀️
As a new parent as of July 2025! These are things both as a 30yr old and a new Dad that I find both hilarious and quite relatable to kids I’ve watched, taught in Sunday School, and what I plan to do for my kids! Love these!!
