Zombie Road #7

Zombie Road VII: Tragedies in Time

Rate this book
The sands of time never fall the same way twice.

Jessie thought he’d lost it all, but what if there was a chance to save Scarlet, however slim? There is a time machine in the subterranean levels of the Tower. The only problem is that it kills everyone that tries to use it. If he could figure out how to activate it without being turned into a gelatinous mass of quivering flesh, he could go back. He could fix things.

Deep in the zombie-infested wastelands, hidden in a military base inside area 51, is the operator's manual. Going after it is suicide but it’s also the only shot he’s got. If he can find it and survive the jump, he might be able to save her life. He might be able to prevent the outbreak. He might even be able to save the world.

If you’re looking for a hair-raising thrill ride through hell itself, then look no further. Full of blood, guts, and carnage, this post-apocalyptic series will keep you on the edge until the very end. Get ready for tragedies in time.

Tragedies in Time is the perfect title book #7.
This edition expounds on time travel and made for some intense moments and unpredictably for Jessie - I have become attached to his character - having been part of his journey and growth for the first 6 books as he fought through hordes of zombies and the worst in human nature.

Eric A. Shelman has been tremendous as narrator for this whole series - always giving a unique, authentic, and autonomous voice to each. 7 books (so far...) and can't wait to preorder #8!

Wow just freaking wow

The thrill ride continues. Mini questions from the zombie road are answered in mini holes filled in. Well creating new questions and possibilities for mini mini more books. One of the greatest zombie series I’ve ever read. Now it takes up a notch. Zombies well technically fall in the whore apocalyptic genre are also science fiction. So therefore when this book goes a little bit Syfy it kind of just fits. The way the first book started kind of hints at a few things and now some of those points kind of makes sense. This book fills in a lot of backstory from the previous book and how they happened. Gives a deeper and darker view into who why and how the zombie apocalypse started. Kind of makes you think and wonder how far will some people go to get their way and change the world. I am looking forward to many more books in the series. It just gives so many possibilities for story arts and characters. I cannot wait.

This series just keeps on trucking and ups the ante in each book. In this story you have zombies, time travel and outer space and Karma bites one of the waste of skin survivors on the butt big time. Jessie keeps trying to fix events but when he changes one little thing, other things change and not for the better. I highly recommend this book and series if you love emotionally charged, character driven tales with zombies.

Sigh, I hate time travel.

I hate when time travel is a premise of a book, when it's the main premise I it hate worse, I was hoping for a good old zombie killing book, this was convuluted, unreadable, I skimmed the last bit, scanning hoping for something worthy of Zombie Road status, didn't find it. I have always given ZR books 5 stars, but I can't on this one, hopefully author will get back on track, write just a great ZR book, then I'll give it 5 stars.

He does it again!

David Simpson is a genius. I'm so in love with this series! How can you make time travel and zombies make sense and just take this series to another level? IDK but David does it magnificently! If you're a fan of this series, this book will not disappoint! If you're not a fan and you enjoy this genre, what's wrong with you, lol? Either way, this book is another successful installment in this series and I eagerly look forward to the next one 😊

Time Reading

I usually don't like time travel books but. Ha! This one is about Zombies or trying to prevent Zombies while trying to find hid girl before she died by traveling back in time but somebody changes the settings on the time machine and Jessie doesn't get to where he needs to go. As usual I'm confused by the end bit at leas I'm entertained so ill keep on reading this series to see what happens next.

Something for everyone. The continuing story of Jessie’s journey for love. It has, it has, it has… Oh! Groundhog day…
If you could save your soulmate or stop a zombie apocalypse, what would you do first.

It’s not only about that. There’s a cross-over, and other suspense included. Secrets, action, and of course, zombies galore. If you can’t get enough, keep reading, Jessie isn’t finished yet.

I'm enjoying this series much. While it may not be "golden age" type material, the story is pretty good, the writting has improved, but evenfrom the first book, the writting was already pretty good. It does stray from strict pulp zombie, but i feel the zombie genre should be able to go where it wants or needs to in order to entertain us, the readers.

WOW

I don't even know where to start! This is the first time I have read VII but I re- read from the first when new one comes out. If you love Zombie apocalypse then this is a must read but it takes a twist I wasn't sure about but I couldn't put it down! You need to read the Feral Children series also! Amazing!

Series is great until you arrive at this book- plot line all over the place and a completely implausible ending. Really, time travel of some kind thrown into a story arc that was not thought out

A love story?

It's a simple story of a boy trying to find the girl he loves, but when zombies, time travel, and world governments are involved, it becomes anything but simple. A great read, and I look forward to the sequel

Loved it

I was honestly getting a little board with the series, but figured I'd roll the dice with this one and it did not disappoint! The time travel was kept simple and fluid and the pacing of the book was spot on and it tied up loose ends nicely while leaving the door wide open for a few more follow on book and I am avidly awaiting there release.

Just when you think The Zombie Road series can't get any better David Simpson say's hold my beer and watch this!

Zombies, cannibals,Kings, hero's and villains Zombie Road has it all. From the first book up to this one book VII it has been one hell of a ride .David has a gift and knows how to sell you on a story if he was a used car salesman he could probably talk you into trading in your Lamborghini and upgrading to a Corolla lol. This has easily become one of my favorite series up there with The Sackets and The Executioner series. Do yourself a favor start with book one and enjoy the ride.

OMG!!! Now I've got to wait for the next book, like I haven't gone stir-crazy waiting for this one. What's going on with Jesse and Scarlet is driving me crazy and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen next. How did Jesse the Traveler end up being rescued by the entity of Scarlet and who or what is she?? This book kept me reading way past my bedtime and now I'll be in patiently waiting for the next, thank you David Simpson for writing this awesome series but could you please write a little faster lol.

A Fantastic Journey

Jessie's time travel tale was fascinating! As he struggled to change the outcome and the fate of the world, I could not put this book down! The science fiction aspect was well written and Jessie's trip back in time was exciting and explained the tale if how the zombie outbreak began. Finding out Gunny had a role in the past explained so much more. Loved Casey's fate, and the new warden! I am now trying to wait patiently for the next book! Love this series and this book was my favorite so far!

Holy cow what a book! I started off the first 3 or 4 chapters apprehensive of how it was going. But the more I read the better it got. I love Jessie and all the Lakota gang. I am so attached to these characters and hate to think if Mr. Simpson ever ends the series.

****** Spoiler Alert******

I really loved the part where Jessie was dropped in to visit the Feral Children! It was so interesting to read that part!! :D
