I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

The Zenned out guide to undrrstanding Auras is a beautiful and easy to follow guide on understanding auras and feeling them and seeing them. I didn't have a great knowledge of auras before reading this book but do feel as though I understand them a little more now.
The book gives exercises to practice to try and awaken your spirituality and help enable you to see/sense auras.
I will definitely be giving these exercises a go in the near future.

I first discovered Cassie Uhl’s work when I read The Zenned Out Guide to Understanding Crystals and practically devoured it in one sitting. I knew immediately that I wanted to check out the other two books she has available as part of this series on auras and chakras. If you’re familiar with any of these books, you’ll already know that they provide a wealth of information on the topic in an easy-to-understand and visually-appealing way.

I was excited to dive into The Zenned Out Guide to Understanding Auras because the subject has always fascinated me, even long before I started trying to figure out my spiritual beliefs. The book covers a wide range of knowledge that readers of all experience levels will be able to appreciate. It begins by giving background information about auras, including what they are and the various ways people can experience them. Explanations behind the various colors and what they mean about you and your energy are provided along with very pretty illustrations and infographic pages that sum up key ideas. Uhl teaches you how to protect, cleanse, and heal your aura. She gives a variety of options for each of these so every reader can find the method that works best for him/her. The final part of the book is about how to conduct aura readings for others, both quickly and more in-depth. This is not probably something I will try, at least not until I become more experienced in reading my own aura, so I didn’t try any of these techniques myself.

While I was skeptical when Uhl claimed that almost everyone is capable of “seeing” at least parts of auras in some way, I gave the exercises she suggested a try. Much to my surprise, after using a piece of amethyst on the third eye and a brief meditation, I was able to determine three colors of my aura. I kept an open mind and had no preconceived notions about the colors I might “see” during my meditation. Uhl says that it might take some time of practicing the various exercises she gives in the book before you can determine your aura’s colors, but she also provides a simple quiz that could help with this information too. I’ve been doing a lot of intuition work recently, so I believe that’s why I was lucky enough to get results on my first try. I plan on continuing to use the techniques daily and work them into my regular spiritual practices.

While I still have some questions, this book gave me the foundation and the confidence to continue exploring auras. Since auras and the chakras are connected, I think I’ll have a better overall understanding once I get a better handle on my chakras. If you’re new to the idea of auras or want to know more about them in depth, I highly recommend The Zenned Out Guide to Understanding Auras!

Enjoyable read. This installment of Cassie Uhl's "Zenned Out" book series provides a gentle and informative introduction to auras and the human energetic system. She includes descriptions of the chakras, the different layers of the energetic body, and aura color associations. She also provides good exercises for beginners in sensing/seeing energy, aura reading, and self-protection and grounding. I would definitely recommend this book to someone brand new to the subject. If you already are familiar with auras and energetic healing you won't find anything new, but its still an uplifting read and the illustrations and layout are really lovely. I would also recommend her book "Understanding Chakras" for beginners as a companion to "Understanding Auras." Together they are the perfect introduction to the subtle body system and energetic healing.

I was browsing at Barnes & Noble (it could have been 2nd and Charles, I frequent both fairly often) and ran across the Zenned Out Guides on the bargain shelf. The volume on reading auras caught my eye. I’d played with the concept of seeing auras a few times many years ago. I think I had a copy of What Color Is Your Aura? and possibly one by Ted Andrews, but I never got far in the practice and eventually lost track of those books. I decided it was time to look into it again.

Just because this book was on the bargain book rack doesn’t mean it’s a slapped-together guide. It means I got a good deal on a great resource, even if the cover isn’t as colorful as the one pictured on this review. (Mine is dark blue).

The pictures are as colorful as the cover, the paper stock is thick and good quality, and while the information isn’t overwhelming, it covers pretty much everything you need to know to understand and see auras. Before the author will allow the reader to entertain the thought of jumping into the exercises (unless you skip pages, of course), she takes the time to educate you on what an aura is as well as the chakra system. Then she gets into the good stuff - how to intuit your aura. Each type of clair is covered along with how to work with the type of intuition that comes naturally for you. Not everyone can “see” the aura, often you pick up on them by other means.

Did it work? Heck yes! It was pretty amazing, in fact. I’m primarily claircognizant and clairvoyant, so the primary colors of my aura popped into my head, followed by an internal visualization. I did work through the exercise on physically seeing the aura and got enough of a result to continue working with it.

Once you get that down, the author talks about protecting and repairing your aura, as well as doing readings for others.

Hands down a great purchase. So much so that I hopped onto her website and bought her Zenned Out Guide to Understanding the Wheel of the Year and Sabbat meditations. Hopefully those will keep me on track since I’m hopeless at keeping up with the Sabbats.

If you’re remotely interested in reading auras, pick up this book. You’ll thank me after you work through it.

I recently read Cassie Uhl's other book about the chakras and absolutely adored it - so I was so excited to read this one about auras. I've got to admit, I didn't know much about the aura before reading.

Just like Uhl's other books, this book is so easy to follow and understand. The layout is great, and the illustrations are beautiful and helpful too.
I didn't feel as connected to this book as I did with the chakra book, (I didn't feel like there was as much info in this either) but this could be due to my lack of knowledge on this topic compared to chakras. I really enjoyed reading, and I think think this would be a great reference book to dip in and out of.

Cassie Uhl's writing is superb, and I will be recommending her books as first point of call for building spiritual knowledge.

A very interesting book about something I only have heard of. I sense energy, positive and negative type in everyday life, sure, but this book really described in detail so much more. There was nothing woo-woo about this book, as the author was great in her descriptions. She gives techniques on going into depth with learning and studying, and offers meditative type exercises as well as other ways to learn about auras. I found this book extremely interesting and gratifying, but even those who aren’t beginners could benefit. It’s well-written, and also very pleasing to the eye with the colors and pages and graphics she uses. Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.

I've been fascinated with how conventional medicine is starting to recognize more & more the power of our minds. The Placebo Effect is such a great example of what our thoughts are capable of. I've already read Cassie's 'The Zenned Out Guide to Understanding Chakras'. In between, I read 'The Wim Hof Method' & 'The Great Cholesterol Myth' it might seem like these are all totally unrelated, but they are not. It's all connected. Why? Because of what we all have a mind. We also have auras. I used to dismiss all of this as out their "Woo Woo" stuff. But the past year or so, I have changed my tune. Both Wim Hof & the doctors who wrote the cholesterol book write about the importance of our mental health. Wim Hof takes it much further. At first glance you wouldn't think these types of books would include such info. It's pretty exciting stuff.

With that said, I have always believed in our individual energy which in part is also our aura. We are all made of energy. In that way, we live forever. We all have a certain intuition or gut feeling about situations/people etc. & I don't know about you, but often my first impression, is right even if I later think I was wrong, in the end though, that first impression is always right 99% of the time. It's amazing. There is so much about our bodies that we have yet to fully understand.

This book, like her Chakra book, is beautiful. The colors are relaxing. The art is simple with easy flow. The layout is very easy to understand. Cassie writes in an informative & non judgemental way. Really, her books are some of the nicest around. I am really enjoying learning from her books. I do have other books on similar topics, but seriously, hers are just perfect.

Cassie Uhl does it again with another Zenned Out guide and this one is GOOD!

Aura's are something I have been aware of but not had much education on. This book is the perfect, user friendly guide to identifying and understanding auras. Halfway through the first chapter I thought "OH that's what I've been seeing during reiki!" Cassie's meditation's and tools that she gives you are simple, accessible, and realistic on time constraints. (i.e. she won't tell you that you have to meditate all day every day to become an aura visualizer).

The artwork is beautiful, the writing is so well done. Thank you Cassie Uhl, Quarto Publishing Group, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Cassie Uhl has done it again with another Zenned Out guide and it's fantastic. I have always been aware of auras but sadly I have not had much education on the study of thank and their meanings. This is a perfect, user friendly guide to identifying and understanding auras and their interpretations. The author provides meditations and tools that she gives you in a simple, accessible, realistic on your personal time constraints. The artwork, as in her entire Zenned Out series, is just beautiful and the writing is done so well. A definite must have addition to your personal reference library.

I would like to thank Cassie Uhl, Quarto Publishing Group and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this advanced read copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

*Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review*

I've been a fan of Cassie's work since years ago and I was honestly so excited to read her books.
This has to be one of the most complete books about auras I've seen. I've read some before and they only explain how to see them but not how to protect them and other tips. The best thing is that is sooo easy to understand, I think is great for beginners. I learnt that I am very sensitive to energies, so I still have to practice the things in the book and take the quizzes. Also, it is beautifully illustrated.

This is one of those physically small books, so the print was smaller than I'd like, but not too difficult. The book contains more muscle than fluff, which came as a happy surprise to me. It gives some background information if you do not have the basic "witch" knowledge, this will fill you in on what you need to know in order for you to understand, read, amplify, and balance auras. I learned a great deal from this book and will absolutely be keeping this as a reference for auras. I was surprised to learn how intertwined Chakras and Auras are.

If you want to learn about Auras, then I highly recommend this book.

A fantastic book about auras with everything you need to know - a brilliant quiz to identify your aura, information about the different layers and colours, and tips on how to protect and heal your energetic field and identify 'energy vampires'. A brilliant book to learn about auras so you can explore it in the real world and bring out your best self. I recommend this guide to anyone with any interest in the subject - I was mildly curious and ended up finding it extremely interesting. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

I received this tiny and lovely book as a gift. Honestly, I’ve never read anything about auras or chakras or even meditation before so this was a completely new experience for me.

I’m not sure whether I believe in auras, aura readings and healing but I really appreciated the meditation exercises and examples in this guide. Meditation isn’t something I’ve done extensively either but the few times I tried it, it helped with my ability to focus and sleep so, I might give these a try!

Definitely better than some of the books I've seen on the topic, but still fairly muddled new age infused info. It'd be nice if the concept of chakras could be discussed in its original context without all the theosophical overlays, at least to give a base idea of where the romantics and spiritualists made additions and changes.

Could have been better but certainly could have been much worse. Very pretty artwork, though lol. Good starting point, but not for anyone who has real experience in this area. Seems to be written more for kids/teens who just want to play around than for anyone who actually wants to learn, refine, or hone existing skills. For $1 on bargain rack, though, I won't complain.

Brief overview of the subject matter that explains enough while not being a dense textbook.

I really enjoyed the illustrations and intro exercises.

This is an excellent beginner-level stackable entry to aura sensing/seeing for absolute newbies, but it may be too elementary for folks with more experience.

This book about what auras are, how to see them in yourself and others, how to protect and understand them, and so much more was such a wonderfully enlightening read. It's full of so many practices and techniques for working with and understanding auras that make it a really approachable resource for anyone. This is both a great introductory book, but also has so many details and depth to it. This is the second book I've read on auras, and I really appreciated the similarities, as well as some of the new ideas presented in this one. If you're interested in auras, learning more about yourself, understanding those around you more, chakras, or even spirituality or energies, I think this is a really great read. There are beautiful illustrations, so many different applications, and a lot of information that can be reused and returned to as needed. I highly recommend this if it falls into your realm of interests!
