Meet author Michelle Cunnah and the loveable characters she creates in this young, funny tale of husband-hunting, job-hunting, and—toughest of all—apartment-hunting in New York. A party, a promotion, and at the very least, a proposal. On her thirtieth birthday, Emma Taylor isn't asking for much. Instead, she gets passed over in every way: by her company, by her boyfriend, and even by her party-loving friends, whose idea of the perfect gift is a bottle of breast-enhancing pills. Now, kicked out of her boyfriend's apartment and stuck working for the weenie who beat her out for the job, Emma is miserable, homeless, and sleeping in the back of her car. But who knew what a great place the streets can be for meeting gorgeous men? Emma may not have much filling up her bikini top, but she does have the determination to get back on her feet, so she moves in with sexy Jack (strictly in a landlord/tenant capacity), sticks out her chin (and her chest) and gets tough at work. Maybe flat girls can have some fun . . .

Less than decent chick lit. I originally picked it up because, hey, I'm totally flat-chested and can relate to Emmeline's woes... turns out that was the only aspect of the book I enjoyed. Even Jack made me go 'oh god you did not' just when I thought he'd redeemed himself.

Lesson learned: choosing books is like choosing bras. Go with support, not how they look!

Goal for this year: read the unread books collecting dust on my bookshelf. This was #1.

Overall cute story, kind of forgettable, at times annoying, but definitely has not aged well.

To the free little library you go.

As someone lacking an ample bosom, I completely understand blaming it for things like not being asked on a date or not getting a job or not having a nice hairdo, but then of course I go back to rational thought and know it has little to do with any of those things. The main character of this book is a 30 year old woman who is completely obsessed with the size of her breasts! To the point that you want to smack her. She thinks about her breasts more than your average highschool/college boy. I would classify this book as readable but definitely wouldn't recommend it to others. It's too silly and the authors inexperience shows. I gave it two stars but it really should've been 1.5, it was less than ok but I wanted to be nice and round up instead rounding down.

I used to hate chicklit series, especially those with pink cover and telling me about wedding and marriage thingy. Yes, I do..., right before I found the book with funny pic on the front cover side, complete with the title of 32AA. What does it mean anyway? Yea, it's easy to guess... that is the story about a woman, who's lack of confidence, all because of her tiny little breast, that for her, is one and only reason why her boyfriend's leaving her for somebody new...
What a great idea with an entertaining package!!

Very enjoyable story with very likable characters. Emma is a woman you can easily relate to as she deals with the daily life issues of her job, love and friends. After she picks herself up from the indignity of being tossed aside by her bastard of a boyfriend, she relies on her friends to take her in and help her cope with the betrayal not only in her love life but also on the job as she is denied an opportunity she is perfect for. Add into the mix that her father is one of the top plastic surgeons in the area, Emma is continuously reminded of everytime she looks in the mirror and sees her completely inadequate 32AA chest.

Join Emma as she navigates through her life looking to fill her days (and hopefully a bikini) with the happiness she longs for.

This has been a complete waste of time. A completely annoying main character who I want to kill all through out because she is selfish and apparently incapable of change. The author does everything you're not supposed to: shows and doesn't tell shit. One of my biggest pet peeves was actually the fact that more than half way through the book, the guy with whom Emma (the heroine) is going to end up with is given the attention and development similar to an ant. Insignificant and practically non-existent. We have more background on Adam, man who broke Emma's heart and is a douche than on Jack. What the hell. Also, the author just drops brand names and doesn't even bother describing the outfit. Describing a skirt as a DKNY doesn't tell me anything. Oh and Emma's friends are one dimensional, stupid and insufferable. Can't stand them. And the author doesn't know how to string events worth a damn. Every time she would prepare to explain what happened she would write, and I quote, "here's what happened." I shit you not. I do not understand how anyone could like this. Didn't care about anyone in this story.

There were some good moments but overall it was horrible. I am not interested in who the main chatacter is gonna wear ot that she is obsessed with her non-existent boobs (according to her), I want to have a good laugh and this book did not bring it. Many situations were akward and silly. Yes she got the man in the end which was a relief but the pain before she did was huge. At least the writing was ok even though starting each chapter with a to do list got on my nerves pretty quickly.

I think the author meant to write a blog, not a book. Wow, the main character was vapid and vain! I made it to the part where she found about her boyfriend's affair before I had to stop reading this tripe.

I picked this book up at the library because I thought it sounded like a cute read. I was not disappointed at all. I loved the characters and it was such an easy weekend read. Best part of all is it took place in my most favourite city New York!

Loved this book. Like Emma's relationships with her friends. Loved seeing how she copes with her breakup and ultimately finds the right guy. But I would have like to see more of the story with her and Jack. There should be more of a story there.

Great for light reading although it leaves a bit to be desired. A lot of the issues could have been resolved by having a conversation, and I think the main character, Emma was not as weak as the situations she got into made her out to be. I wish this book dove further into her romantic relationship, but am glad there is at least a sequel.

DNF - This book just replays the same thing over and over with each character. It takes forever to move forward.

Emma Taylor wakes up on her thirtieth birthday expecting her live-in boyfriend Adam to propose. What she finds is a note on the dining room table about a breakfast meeting. She stumbles across a Tiffany's receipt for twenty-five thousand dollars and walks on air in anticipation of a proposal during her birthday dinner that evening.

But the day doesn't turn out as Emma imagines. Adam, who is also her boss, first notifies Emma that she didn't get a hoped-for promotion, and then tells her that he's going out of town for the weekend. So much for her birthday dreams. Emma soon finds out that Adam is in the Bahamas with his new honey, and he asks Emma to move out as soon as he returns. But tiny Emma is not about to let Adam and his voluptuous new woman get the last word. Her large group of friends gathers around in support. She moves forward with head held high ... and she keeps running into her longtime nemesis, Jack. Is there hope for a civil relationship between Emma and Jack?

It takes a little while to get into the flow and rhythm of 32AA, but it turns out to be an entertaining romance. Emma is a cute, spunky woman who is understandably insecure. The daughter of a plastic surgeon, she is forever being told by all of her dad's friends that she should consider breast enlargement. The anxiety about her figure translates into every area of her life, particularly her relationships. Unfortunately, Emma's whining and insecurity got on my nerves after a while. Also, most chapters begin with a 'To Do' list written by Emma, which includes spoilers regarding what is about to happen - a few surprises are let out too early.

The pace picks up about halfway through as Emma becomes more independent and discovers some things about herself. She learns who her friends are and that she has more strength than she realized. And the sexual tension between Jack and Emma will make readers turn pages just to see if they will ever make that connection. Overall, 32AA is a charming chick lit offering.

On god. So many issues. Here are my top 10.

1. Why is this chic obsessed with her cup size?
2. Emmeline or whatever her name is "tries" not to be shallow by "talking about world peace," but, nice try - you're still shallow.
3. She's going crazy over expecting an engagement ring after dating her boyfriend for 5 months.
4. She's oblivious to what's going on around her because she's too concerned with herself.
5. She's her boyfriends secretary - doesn't she know his dinner plans and such? Why is she first discovering his dishonesty now?
6. This book is just plain boring. Nothing happens. Seriously, she meets her new love interest 50% through the book. Nothing happens the rest of the time aside from discussing Adam's dishonesty and her "getting back" at him. Now we're supposed to watch her "fall in love" with Jack. I was at the point where I didn't care what happened to her.
7. Why would she ever give Adam the time of day ever again? Which she does towards the end of the book which leads to her "fight" with Jack.
8. At the end, she's still "waiting for an engagement ring" only now it's from Jack. I mean, have you learned nothing?! It's not what this is all about.
9. Basically, she has no self respect.
10. Again, this book is just boring.

Bottom line, don't waste your time!

Sesuai standard chicklitm, tokoh utama wanitanya dibuat setengah desperate dengan kerjaan, penampilan, pacar dll. Seperti Emma di ultah yg ke-30 mengharapkan cincin pertunangan dr Adam/pacarnya (malah diputusin & hrs keluar dr apartemen), kenaikan jabatan (malah anak yg baru mengisi lowongan itu - ini gara2 Adam jg).

Tapi bagusnya nih chicklit, Emma tdk terlalu berlarut2 mengasihani diri sendiri, lumayan cepet bangkit & menata kembali hidupnya, mungkin krn Emma punya temen2 yg mendukung dgn karakter masing2 yg unik.

Sebenernya Emma dr dulu ga bgtu suka dgn Jack gara2 pd waktu pesta pernikahan Peri & Joe, Emma mendengar Jack & temannya Chip bertaruh utk siapa yg bisa deketin Emma.

Gw suka dgn proses jadian antara Jack & Emma, apalgi dgn direcokin dgn temen2 Emma yg berusaha menjadi mak comblang heheheh

A very cute read. The heroine, Emmeline "Emma" Taylor, suffers from a lack of breasts (as the title would suggest) and a lackluster love life (because...well, it's chick lit). The book had typical chick lit plot lines and the standard archetype characters, but the delivery is very fun and entertaining and the side characters are somewhat pithy and rarely annoying.

Emma is dating and living with her boss, a man who is a jerk and completely wrong for her. Of course, this fact is apparent to everyone but Emma, who always wants to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, his true colors eventually come out, leaving Emma both boyfriendless and homeless...until an unlikely man in her life steps in to save the day.

32AA by Michelle Cunnah

Cute and funny but with a very immature lead character

This book was cute and funny, but the main character, Emma, was very immature for a 30-year old female. The obsession with the size of her breasts was ridiculous, but I guess that is what makes the title 32AA. When I pretended the characters were much younger than their age, this book went very quick and was a very good read. So, go into the book thinking 17-year olds with potty mouths and you will love the book. ;-)

I wanted to like this book, but could find no reedeming qualities after 75+ pages in which I would give more of my precious reading minutes for. The main character is annoying from the start and it doesn't get any better as the story progresses. I don't expect a literary masterpiece from chick-lit, rather just a few hours of comic relief and fluff after a stressful day. This book is crap on a cracker.

I guess I've lost my taste for most chick lit. No surprises here -- too much time spent on brand names and boy friends, nothing much of interest in the characters or plotting to keep me interested. And the author employed one device I found really annoying. Rather than just let the story unfold, she'd jump ahead: "Later that day I was really, really mad because of something that happened..." And then jerk you back: "This is what happened..." Didn't work for me. In fact, it pissed me off.

It was just okay. Decent chick lit I suppose (girl dumped by boy, meets new boy, does something to piss boy off, has epiphany, ends up with boy)...though poorly written (some sentences just make no sense), predictable, and the main character comes off as completely vapid at times. Plus, did one of her love interests really have to be her uncle? Yuck.

This was a cute book, but an easily forgettable one. It's classic chick-lit with our heroine having been dumped very unceremoniously by THE ONE who, of course, was never actually the one. Emmeline is a cute character, though, and she carries the story well. I'd pick up another book by the same author, but I may not pay full price for it.

I truly liked this book, but again, I read it in 2003 at the beginning of my reading phase. It was a novelty to me just to actually buy a book I chose to read and not because I had to! Recent college kid mentality, I guess. Anyway, the cover caught my attention and then I read 2 more books by this author. Its a sweet story and a fast read.
