I have to give this author credit- she can write a short steamy read (my favorite) that has a great story to follow.

I am so ready for the kisses at midnight and the fact that they all released on the same day was perfect. This book was actually quite sad and an emotional ride for sure.
Doralee life has been one of discontent and loss since her mother died, she not only lost her mother but the father that she had adored and trusted to care for her became withdrawn and a was a shadow of the person he once was, instead of comfort and nurturing he changed and became foreboding in regards to her modelling career especially with the advice of his psychiatrist and girlfriend Melany. Doralee is forced to live a life she thought that she once wanted and with the biggest contract of her career so far on the horizon the limits being set for her trap her in a way that she can see no escape that is until she meets Damon, the mysterious man that has made her feel something in years. But can she really trust the stranger who is in her life or is he someone else who will just control her life?
Damon wasn’t looking forward to his party but when his eyes meet Doralee’s across the room he is shaken to the core and knows he has to meet the girl who stole his breath, after a chance meeting later in the evening he knows he has found the other half of his soul in the pure beauty in front of him but just when he thinks he has it all she is stolen away from him by her father. Damon is determined that she will be his and when he discovers the plans that her father and his girlfriend have in store for her there is no way he cannot do something and puts his own plans into action but is what he doing about to blow up in his face and will Doralee want him when she learns of what he has done?
There was everything that you could want in this book and it was easy to read in one sitting. Highly recommended read by an author I rate highly.

Fathers girlfriend from hell.. is what Doralee is dealing with along with her father to. Doralee is a model and is listening to what these two are making her do. Not really eating, drink water, no friends (but one), and holding her fury babies over her head to make her do things. That is until she meets Damon at a party they were attending, he sees the sadness in her eyes and the way those people are treating her and he wont stand for it.

Do you think if I pretended to like this story, it would become the truth? No? I didn’t think so either.

I think I'm addicted to Dani Wyatt's smuts. Like, I've read some stuff from her before but never this obsessed. Truly, I just found my Renaissance era through her. The suspension of disbelief is high with this girl.
Had one of my favourite classic cliches though. That exchanging look from across the room and falling in love at first sight. *chef's kiss* I'm fooled by the simplest thing.

His resolution is book one in the ‘’kisses at midnight’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Doralee is living her life being controlled by her father and his evil girlfriend. When she meets Damon, she is instantly attracted but needs to carry on with her plans. Damon wants Doralee as soon as he meets her. When he learns that she is a model and witnesses how her father treats her, he is determined to claim his girl.
The chemistry between Doralee and Damon is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

HERO - Damon Lassiter. Real estate mogul. 6’6 and almost 300lbs. of muscle. Dark hair, a closely trimmed matching beard, and green eyes.
HEROINE - Doralee Hinson. Model. Long black hair, blue eyes, and pale skin.
OVERALL THOUGHTS - I enjoyed it, but it covers some uncomfortable topics. Still the chemistry was there between the main characters and for a good while I was set on giving it a 4-star rating. What ultimately dropped it down a star was the ending and the epilogue.
To start, this book has some pretty big triggers. The heroine, Doralee, has an eating disorder that she deals with on page and it sounds as if it’s imposed on her by her father and his girlfriend. They monitor her weight twice a day and severely restrict her diet. She both wants and doesn’t want to eat, but has been conditioned to refuse food.
Doralee and her father are both being medicated by their shared therapist, Melany, who is also the father’s girlfriend. Melany is obviously an unethical practitioner, and she’s managed to pin both individuals under her thumb, using their grief over Doralee’s mother’s passing to worm her way in. It’s because of her that the father was able to gain conservatorship over Doralee, making it so that the 18-year-old has no power, legal or otherwise, over her own life.
Finally, Doralee has two Pugs that Melany has allowed her own only to turn around and use them as yet another way to control her. The author allows you to think the puppies have been put down for several pages before revealing that the hero managed to rescue them in time. Still, those few pages added yet another layer of discomfort to the story.
As you can see, for a relatively short New Year’s Eve story, it covers some heavy topics which would have been fine had they been resolved to satisfaction. What I personally needed to see was Doralee overcome all the obstacles on page. I needed to see her growth and development into her own woman. Instead, we get an abrupt ending that resolves nothing except the romance portion and then a brief rundown on what happened with Melany and the father off page. I feel so robbed! Where’s the payoff for her going through all that? We don’t get to see her confront them. We don’t get to see the father grovel for his daughter’s forgiveness. We don’t get to see Doralee heal.
Romance-wise, the story was good. Damon is your typical stalker-esque alpha hero who decides to find out all his information about Doralee through third parties because her father and Melany have her on lockdown. Somewhat justifiable, in this case, especially since he could tell she has an issue with food and sensed something off about the “parents”. He does lie to her to get her out from under their control and it blows up in his face for a few minutes, but it’s easily resolved. Maybe even too easily.
Anyway, there was a lot happening emotionally and behind the scenes that didn’t get proper payoff and it dropped my rating down. It’s still worth a read if you can get past the triggers, but if you’re like me, you may be left unsatisfied.

Doralee is prescribed medication by the girlfriend for a range of different things that she says is wrong with Doralee but she doesn’t always take them. They are out to meet the new sponsors she is going to Paris with but while at the event she sees Damon she gets immediate spark as she looks at him then runs from him. Damon needs to find the girl he felt something stir inside of him he needs her. He finds Doralee she is playing the piano he needs to make her his her father and girlfriend find them as he is feeding her. Doralee knows she shouldn’t be eating but she doesn’t seem to be able to say know and then they find her and she has to go. Damon has to have her he does everything he knows to find about her life and those around her he knows she is off to Paris he knows what he has to do. Doralee is on her way to Paris but with him but after sharing a private omens Doralee passes out a diversion is made as she won’t make it to Paris. Damon has his on doctor flown out to her they see all the medication she is on and she doesn’t need any of it. Damon has to have her he does everything he knows to find about her life and those around her he knows she is off to Paris he knows what he has to do. Doralee is on her way to Paris but with him but after sharing a private omens Doralee passes out a diversion is made as she won’t make it to Paris. Damon has his on doctor flown out to her they see all the medication she is on and she doesn’t need any of it. Doralee is on the mend thinks everything is brilliant but it all comes crashing down when she realises what Damon has done to get her all to himself her prize possessions her pugs are being put down as she hadn’t kept to her part of the bargain to get the pugs. The only things she has to fight for and they are gone because of Damon she flees from the island. Damon hears the speedboat go but he knows it doesn’t have enough fuel he needs his Doralee she is everything to him he needs to put right all that is wrong and get her back.

I hated this so much. I reserve one star reads to books I’m unable to finish, had this book been longer it probably would have qualified and honestly I did some skimming. I hated the characters. The H was a controlling weirdo and nothing about this book made me feel their connection beyond his insta-obsession with her. It was very obvious that she was very young and immature and the author repetitively had the H call the h a girl. Hinting that she was closer to a child than a woman. It gave off creepy pedo vibes to me. The h was totally beaten down and abused by her “parents” a blindly took their crap and obeyed their instructions even when they weren’t around to in force them but then was all mouthy with the H from the beginning which didn’t feel like it fit her character. I hated her name which also gave off childish vibes. I hated her dogs’ names which sound like a child chose them. It was never fleshed out but it definitely felt like the modeling agency was more sinister and had she taken her “meds” on the original flight there would have been a really dark turn but that wasn’t successfully addressed and it felt like a loose end. The antagonists all got off easy. It was just a very lackluster book with an anticlimactic ending. Incase it isn’t clear, I hated this and would not recommend reading it. I’m shocked that the ratings are so high.

I need a Damon!
I liked this holiday story. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. Parts of the story made me angry and I wanted to smack a couple of people. Melany was truly evil and I wanted her to have way more comeuppance than she got. That’s probably just me and my vindictive nature though. Be aware that there are some issues that are mentioned that could be difficult for some people. There was emotional abuse, food control, death of a parent, etc. Doralee was used to being controlled but wanted to not be afraid and to be happy. She saw Damon and was knocked for a loop. Damon saw Doralee and was shocked at his reaction to her. Then he decided that he wanted to keep her. Even though Damon went about it the wrong way, I think he did the right thing. Doralee needed to feel safe and she was safe with Damon. There was so much that Damon did for her that was just to make her happy. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

I loved the heck out of the OTT behavior of Damon as soon as he lays eyes on Doralee, and I appreciated that Doralee had a deeper, more complex background than I usually see in books of this length. I think that is what keeps me from completely loving this book (and I love almost all of this author's books). I was left feeling as if the story wasn't completely fleshed out and that I wanted more. Not a bad feeling to have, but it doesn't make for a completely satisfying read.
Besides that, the story had the author's trademark whirlwind OTT insta everything that she is known for. Damon was completely swoon and drool worthy, and I would love to read more about this couple's journey.

Dani really pulled off a sweet New Year's romance with His Resolution.
I adored Doralee and really hated how everyonr in her life treated her and just wanted to give the girl a cheeseburger! She had such a kind and sweet manner, and it stunk seeing her treated so poorly.
Thankfully Damon saw her for who she really was and was willing to fight to give her the life she deserved...even if he did things a bit underhanded.
I really enjoyed the older man/younger woman theme of this book along with the luxury lifestyle they all lived, it's fun to imagine a swanky life and being swept off i to it 😁

Perfect start to my new year!!!
The first book I read in 2020 and it was perfect! Short, sweet and sexy started my new year off in the best way possible!
Damon and Doralee’s story was everything I was hoping it would be. I should have known that already as it’s Dani freakin’ Wyatt and that woman NEVER disappoints! Damon is completely smitten and obsessed from the moment he lays eyes on his woman. He’s alpha through and through. It was fantastic!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings to us from Dani. I’m definitely looking forward to all the goodness!

Cute story. I liked the premise. This felt like a unique story while I was reading. Something new and different.
I understand Damon secretly did things to get his way, and he mentioned being an obsessed and possessive person....but I just like his character was more "regular" and not really OTT.
Doralee was a good match and the steamy scenes were ok, but I felt like chemistry was lacking. It wasn't bad, it just didnt "jump off the page".
I also felt like it was a big build up with how horrible the people were in Doealees life, but the resolution was rushed.
The writing was good and I will absolutely check out other stories by this author.

Where to start!!!
I love this book. This is not your typical they meet they love and HEA. While they do have their HEA Doralee is dealing with serious issues in her life. It made me cry to see her go from this scared girl to a woman demanding her independence and freedom. Damon is a typical alpha male but when time comes he knows he needs to give her room to grow and be his partner in life. Loved loved loved.

This was a sweet sexy read about Damon and Doloree. What Doloree went thru was very hard to read. Her struggle was real though. Damon was her yummy knight that saved her. He was the perfect combo of possessive, protective, tenderhearted and growly Alpha. Loved their interaction and banter. I couldn't stop reading until I finished this beautiful, wonderful, delicious love story. Another great awesome read by Dani Wyatt.

Her father's fianceé is a horrible woman and her dad has his head in the sand. Doralee needs Damon to be her white knight, she just doesn't know it yet. This is a wonderful story and I highly recommend it!

A Good First of The Series Story
I'm having a huge crush on these over-the-top alpha male characters like the one in this story. It know that I should not be attracted to Damon and his tactics and the yelling he does at some of his employees.....but I am and I love it. The story was a short one but the relationship dynamics and sexual exploits are great. Looking forward to the next story.

It's a good book, nothing extraordinary but overall a nice read.
My only complaint is regarding the bad stepmother/absent father type of trope. I think it's a little overused and it usually gets on my nerves. Also, the h had absolutely no backbone but they want me to believe she magically went from manipulated to running a multi-billion dollar company? I don't buy it, if it was some gradual change it would've been better.
