When Joseph gets trapped with his father’s former coworker in one of the worst snowstorms of the year, he starts to wonder what ancient god he must’ve pissed off. After being kicked out of the house at eighteen and having to make his way on his own, the last thing he wants is to be stuck with the sexy older man.

Forest isn’t looking for a relationship, but when Joseph steps back into his life, grown up and hurting, he can’t walk away. Maybe it’s the Daddy Dom in him, but leaving Joseph confused and angry goes against everything he believes in. But getting Joseph to open up is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to helping him move on from the past.

When a boy is frustrated and confused, can a temporary Daddy step in and help, or will unexpected emotions steer things in a surprising new direction?

What a perfect blend of age-play, Daddy kink, and D/s. These two guys are amazing together! No doubt, for me M.A. Innes writes the best stories in this genre.

A wonderful Daddy/boy, D/s, BDSM, romantic tale for our two MCs. Well done.
Joseph has had a tough road to plod through, but he's done it. Now, he wants to make wise choices, and is conflicted as he experiences his first real Daddy/boy weekend trial period. It is an old crush from the past, Forest, who draws him, and always has.
Their paths cross again, snowed in, where they talk, and learn about each other, and then discuss the chance Joseph has to try what his heart yearns for, a Daddy to take care of him, and to let go of his worries.
We are brought into the different kink with terrific explanations and the variety of ways these relationships are forged.
Forest is worldly, a traveler from Doctors Without Borders, and Joseph was thrown out, homeless and has scraped himself up to begin a life. This opportunity is so needed.

* We get the slow slide into "little" territory for Joseph/Joey, and for Forest to shine in his role as Daddy.

We feel their connection, as we see Joseph's internal conflict, yet his strength to try, and Forest's patience and expertise at guiding the younger man.
I love the "snowed in" premise, so I'll be reading more form this set of stories, each stands alone, and each is from a different author.

ENJOY !

4.5/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.

Content Warnings for book: References and descriptions of homophobia and kinkshaming, off-page houselessness, financial trouble

Kink: Daddy kink, age play (no diapers), orgasm control, spanking

”Sometimes, but others know they need to give their boys room to grow.” I sighed. “I don’t want to grow. That sounds painful.”

Daddy chuckled again, but I could hear the stubbornness in his voice. “I’ll be there to make sure it’s not too hard.”

M.A. Innes really outdid herself writing Trapped with His Temporary Daddy, standing out from the rest of her catalogue I've written and in a wonderful way. I enjoy her books in general - but this was so sweet and good.

While this is still "instalove" in that these two fall for each other and commit to each other after being together for a few days, but in the construct of the book and compared to Innes' work, this was pretty slow burn and low-steam. However I don't think that makes it a good book, because there was such good emotional connection between these MCs. Forest and Joseph gravitate to each other and Forest does such a good job of being kind, open, and supportive. There is such palpable hurt/comfort and I love how there was this slow take to the kink as well. That it started out non-sexual so Joseph could get comfortable with it, the pining that stayed totally subtle until finally they realized they didn't want to step away from it.

The transition from friends to lovers? Effortless. There is no dwelling of angst, no knife to twist in your gut. They simple choose each other and plan to stay that way. Not to mention you add in how Forest takes down Joseph's shitty father and mother, and how well he focuses on setting up his boy to have a better life? It's just like every piece of this worked for me, seriously.

I did find the introduction of the Master/sub dynamic into their sexual life just a bit too sudden because of the set up and pacing of the rest of the book. I do wish that there had been more mention of it before so it made sense for Joseph's character, but that is really my only criticism here.

Highly recommend this book!

I have to be honest, this book wasn’t at all what I expected. I’m happily working my way through this series. Having enjoyed the previous two books I started this without checking the reviews.

Now this is very informative about a daddy/boy relationship but it just didn’t really work for me. I understand rules needs to be set. Guidelines discussed. But ultimately this is a short romance read and it lost me. I was bored and skimming. I went back to check the reviews and I was amazed to find they’re nearly all 5*. So clearly I’m missing something here.

Also while I’m on my soapbox. I love a good daddy/boy book. But for me the whole sippy cup, dummy, bottle and diaper (discussed but thankfully not used) is just a step too far. To each their own. It’s just not for me and another reason why this didn’t work for me.

I know these are individual books written by different authors. But after this one I’m taking a break.

An older man who's a Dom.
A younger man who's desperate to be taken care of and controlled.
Getting stuck together in the middle of a snowstorm.
A bit of kink.
A sweet love story.
A really good read.

This one was perfect! I love that Joseph had known Forest when he was young, and that Forest had treated him as a person even at a young age (not just some annoying kid belonging to his friends). I'm so glad that Joseph has a friend, even if they're only internet friends at this point -- and yes, I definitely want to see Joey have a playdate with the rest of Cody's friends!

DNF. I don't know what it is about Innes/Montgomery's work, but I'm starting to think it's a little too generic and doesn't give me the same emotional depth I can find from other authors. I'll keep trying, but I suspect there will be more DNF's than actual finished reads.

I seriously need a Daddy. While I have a hard limit on a few things, I’d be in hog heaven of letting someone else shoulder the burdens for a while, while I got to color, play toys and watch cartoons. (This while watching Bugs Bunny lol.) What could be more perfect, right??
Joseph just wanted some time to unwind and decompress after all the crap in his life. But apparently his father was going to try to destroy even that. When he went to go to the cabin for his vacation, the man of his childhood and adult fantasies stood in front of him. But his patience on could take so much. He could only handle so much thrown at him and this was the last and final straw. While he took it out on Forest, his brain was trying to tell him he didn’t mean to, but his father was just such a dick. He was determined to ruin his life in any way possible, and this was the ultimate slap in the face. But Forest always had a way of calming him down, and once again he did. It wasn’t the way Joseph wanted it but he chilled and decided to just avoid the man while he was there. But Forest remembered the little boy as he was growing up and this man wasn’t him. What could have happened to that shy, sweet little boy that he adored? And what happened to make that little boy this downtrodden, upset man he sees before him? Forest was determined to find out what was up and to do that he knew he was going to have to use a few tricks to get Joseph to open up. Because if he tried to confront him the way he was right now, it would lead to things being worse not better. He only hoped he could reach that sweet little boy inside the man and bring him to ease.
Forest is one heck of a Daddy. Even being away from Joseph for years and not knowing the situation as far as his family, he still knew something was up. And he still remembered the little things he could use to coax Joseph into life and not hiding out. But it wasn’t easy. And after all that Joseph has and had been through, Forest couldn’t actually blame him for being so upset and hurt. And for hiding everything about who his was because of his asshole father. You know, you may not understand someone’s kink or even your own child’s, but it’s no reason to shame them or kick them out. Everyone is entitled to be who they want to be. Yes, you may have your hard limits about things. And that’s fine. But that doesn’t give anyone the right to shame you over what you like and they don’t. Everyone has things they like and don’t. It’s what makes us different, unique. No one said that it had to be done by someone else. Just don’t shame or judge for others that do. And for Forest, I admired him even more. Because he swore he wouldn’t shame Joseph and he didn’t. Of course, it helped that most of Joseph’s kinks were Forest’s too. But even if they weren’t, he kept his word and that made the difference. It gave Joseph the confidence to re-explore who he is and wanted to be. And that made it perfect.

Oh, was a spoony one

God I loved this (what else is new). First of all that cover?! Excuse me while I faint and fan myself over here. And now I'm not a cover girl but this cover, oh this cover. Second of all, little Joe was the cutest thing in the world and daddy Forest was soo swoon. Like my god is he one of my faves. I also loved seeing characters from Shaw's previous books. Yay little playdates!

Now if I know Shaw (and believe me when I say I do) I know the way her books tend to go. Low angst into a fluffy romance. It works for her and I love it. But this one, there was something different about this one. I'm trying really hard but I can't think of another book of hers that had this heavy of a hurt/ comfort element to it. It's not angst, but Joe is hurting and watching him come into his little side and having Forest there to guide and comfort him was really special. We've had mistrusting boys before (and if you've read quiet strength you'll know what I'm talking about) but something about this book really stood out to me. Maybe it was snowed in element (which is one of my favorite tropes), I don't know but I loved it and if you like daddy/ boy you'll love this too.

And the smut, what can I say. My girl has yet to do me wrong. It's always so good and just dirty enough to where everyone can read it and enjoy it but freaks like me are very pleased. A+

Now who should read this? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say everyone. As long as you're into MM that is. This is one of those rare cases in which the age play here, while definitely explored in depth, it doesn't Cross any of those line if you know what I mean. Joe is a little for sure and there is some regression but there's no abdl which is a deal breaker for many. Now whether that's because this was written for the Valentine's ink series, I can't say. But I do think this is one of her more accessible titles under this pen name. Not that her others aren't but this one was written in such a way that even if someone had never read daddy kink book before, they could still find enjoyment.

Anyways with all that said, read it! 7 stars because who doesn't want to make a blanket fort with Forest.

This was a great read. Took me longer to get through it because age play isn’t my kink. However, the book is well written and so freakin’ sweet.

Joseph (boy/little) was kicked out of his house after HS & life hasn’t been easy. Foster (Master/Daddy) has know Joseph since he was a kid because he worked with his father. They end up snowed in during Joseph’s time at the cabin. With a little bribery from brownies and Star Wars, Foster is able to slowly breakdown Joseph’s walls.

Their relationship is beautiful to watch unfold. The author does a phenomenal job with this story.

Like I said at the beginning, age play isn’t my thing. But there weren’t diapers, only talk about them briefly. When Joseph is a little the only things written out explicitly are him playing with toys, Daddy holding his sippy cup to drink, Daddy making and cutting up his pancakes, Daddy and a bubbly bath, and a scene with a binky. If you can handle those, the book is definitely worth the read.

It was slow-going to finish this - I think it's because a huge part of this could be any M.A. Innes book. Not that that is only a negative thing, because I keep reading Innes' books for a reason. I just felt like I had already read the plot several times over, so it failed to keep my concentration at times. So in that regard, it was maybe only a 2-2.5 star read.

However, when Master came out to play, I was into it again, because it had a more original plot. The way the two found their unique brand of kink was interesting to read, enough so that it was able to pull the rating up a little.

I’ve been having some trouble getting into a book so I wanted something quick that I could read in one sitting and this wasn’t like anything I’d read before. Unfortunately this was just a little too much for. The writing also wasn’t that great in my opinion and I was bored enough at parts that I did some skimming.

I love this author... I just realized that this is my first book by this author, but that doesn't matter... I love this author! *grin*

This story was one of the most tender, heartwarming stories that I have read in the recent past and I plan on reading more by this author in the near future! And, can I just say that I will NEVER look at a binkie in the same way ever again... my Daddy/boy education was greatly expanded with this book and to think, to start off it was all about the cover for me! *fans face* LOL!!!

Joseph reconnects with Forest, an old acquaintance of his estranged father after his father manipulates both of them. They are forced together in a cabin at the beginning of a snow storm. That's when things get interesting...

They discover that their kinks match up more than either could have ever imagined.

"You don't scare me. You already said you're a mushy Daddy who likes to please their little. If you wanted to scare me, that wasn't the way to describe yourself."
"Cheeky littles risk getting punished, so I'd be careful how much you pushed me."

"I bet if I pout and look cute I could change your mind about getting punished."

"Joseph wouldn't need physical punishments to get through to him. He needed love and support more than anything else. Just knowing he'd disappointed his Daddy would probably be devastating."

Slowly and gently the trust begins to build as they grow more comfortable with each other.

"He looked like he was the world's best Daddy and just needed the mug to prove it."

Forest was a great Daddy, he's caring and affectionate which is just what Joseph needs.

"I shrugged and stepped closer so I could snuggle against him. If I was going to feel stupid, I might as well get some cuddles out of it because he was a damn good cuddler. He made me feel safe and never let it get weird of sexual."

Joseph is trying his best to be comfortable in his new, short lived normal. Their forced proximity has an expiry date and both men are determined to make the most of the opportunity that's presented itself.

"Fantasies were one thing, but reality was harder than I expected it to be.
Why couldn't things be as easy as they were in porn?" Lol.

"Forest will romance you and always see you as an equal. Your Daddy will always put you first and spoil you rotten. Your Dom will take you apart and send you flying, but he will demand complete submission." Swoon...

"Romance and love would come later... right now he needed to be owned and claimed."

This is one of my all time favourites from this author. I loved watching their relationship grow from barely platonic to so much more. From intense and sweet but non sexual to super hot with all the feels.
Highly recommend!!

Oh boy!! This one was a lot kinkier than I anticipated and I loved that. 4 stars because although the characters and sex were fun and delicious, I did find myself skimming a little too much half way so it didn’t quite hold all my attention.

The snowed in trope is super fun and it’s a great way to start off the reunion of family friends. There’s an age gap between young down on his luck Joseph and older, experienced Daddy Dom and doctor, Forest. Now I’m thinking about it though I don’t think there’s an explicit reference to how old Forest is (unless I missed it), Joseph just refers to him jokingly as old man and he’s supposed to be a “friend” of Joseph’s father so possibly in his forties.

It’s a real coming into yourself story as Forest coaxes Joseph from his shell and into being comfortable with his sexuality and kinks. It’s very tender and sweet and the interactions between them extremely sexy. There’s no angst or drama between the two of them, they both fall in love and admit they want more to each other without the typical nonsense that comes from a “friends with benefits” storyline. Ends with a HEA that’s very sweet. Would definitely read a second story of these two!!

What a great story !!

This story develops in a short time period, it's almost like watching everything happening live .

One angry, exhausted, and very lonely young man finds himself stranded...
But he is only stranded with the man that has been his biggest fantasy, ever !
Boy oh boy, how is he supposed to survive the two weeks without having a complete melt down ?
Ignore, ignore, ignore ....

Forest is a mature, well travelled man of the world.
Being a doctor with a charity has taken him to lot's of places, and lot's of conditions.
He prides himself in his ability to read people and understand them.
However, when he is faced with the frustrated young man he does not like it one bit.

Forest remembers Joseph from his youth, they used to be friends, or so he thought.
He doesn't understand why the young man is so cold.
Why does he keep escaping to his room ? They are stranded together , they should try to talk.

Forest is a Daddy Dom, his instinct is to try and help this cute boy.
Joseph has secrets, he would die if Forest ever found out about what's in his head.

Forest just wants to hold Joseph, to show him that he really cares, but how would he react?
Joseph really, really wants to cuddle into his lap and cling to him, but how would he react?

This is such a precious story,
l have loved every step by cautious step these two took around each other.
The story developed beautifully , and slowly, l almost felt like l was there watching them.
l want more...

Well written with 2 great leads. This involves a lot of age play and mild bdsm. Age play isn't my thing but I actually enjoyed it in this story as it was clear where the lines where and distinctions were made that made me more comfortable with it. I can only assume this is an accurate portrayal of that type of dom/sub bond as it goes along with a lot of what ive encountered on the subject but gave it more detail. I've rated it so highly because of the writers ability to make me more comfortable with the subject

Perfect!!

This was exactly what I was hoping for. My favorite author giving us new characters and to top it off its part of the Valentine's Inc. family. I can see Joseph meeting Cody and the others. I think he would fit right in. I can just see him blushing and laughing at Kevin's antics lol. I am hoping we see more of these guys.

So cute...

Sometimes you need something so sweet it gives you a cavity and this did it for me. I loved Joseph and Forest and yes this was so instalove that they fell for each other at the front door. There were no angsty drawn out feelings about the age gap, being a little, and all the rest. I loved it.

Awww, this is a sweet, age play book in the new Valentine’s Inc series, quite frankly I want more of this very special pair. I adore Joseph who has managed to keep him self together against huge odds, Forset and the opportunity to explore his fantasies come at a time when he really needs to let go of everything, Forest is perfect for Joseph and for Joey.

This is for me is a must read for all the fans of M.A. Innes. I can’t wait for more stories with this pair in.

Yet another deviation from my TBR piles, but again, this series (Snowed In) is linked to the Valentine's Inc series, much like the Cruises series. The third book in this series is titled "Snow Regrets," and it's by M.A. Innes.
["When Joseph gets trapped with his father’s former coworker in one of the worst snowstorms of the year, he starts to wonder what ancient god he must’ve pissed off.

When a boy is frustrated and confused, can a temporary Daddy step in and help, or will unexpected emotions steer things in a surprising new direction?"]

This book was wonderfully inquisitive and exploratory and welcoming and safe and beautiful. They cared and opened up to each other and shared secrets. They build a life together stuck up in that cabin. It only strengthened and expanded when they made it back to the Real World.

Joseph was so closed off and hurt and needing something/someone in his corner to help him build trust and confidence back up. Forest was lost and looking for guidance for his future, something/something to look out for and build a life with. They just...worked so well together. It was so perfect.
Okay, I gotta say, out of all of the kink I've read over the years, I haven't come across age play. Until this book. I learned so much. And like the Daddy kink, it's so much more than sex.

And with that note, I'll definitely be checking out of all M.A.'s stuff in the near future. ;)

This was good! I stumbled upon this one while looking for holiday books and while this is part of a Valentine's Day series it actually takes place in December during Christmas so there's that. Joseph is in his early 20s, I can't remember how old he is exactly, but he was kicked out by his homophobic father when he turned 18 and his one saving grace is that his grandfather left him part ownership of a cabin. When Joseph shows up for his a lot of time at the cabin, he finds his dad's friend already staying there. Forest is a doctor who worked with Joseph's dad but they were never super close. It's a little bit murky about why Joseph's dad allowed Forest to stay in the cabin, but it was obviously under the assumption that he didn't know that Forest was gay.

Anyway, Joseph ends up losing his shit a little bit because he is so exhausted and overwhelmed and just trying to get by and he had his scheduled plan all fucked up because of Forest's appearance which leads both of them to realize that Forrest is definitely kinky and dominant and Joseph is kinky and submissive.

After a kind of divulging all of his last 10 years to Forest both Joseph and Forest decide to try out a daddy/boy dynamic while they are trapped in the cabin so that Joseph can get some experience in the kink world before going out by himself.

I didn't think I would actually like this forced proximity thing but it was actually really good and well done. As with all M.A. Innes books, there is room for improvement when it comes to specific communication regarding different kinks, but from all of her books that I've read this one was probably done the best. That being said, I don't think their are books or problematic in that regard It's just kind of assumed that all of this communication is taking place and it isn't actually on page not that it's actually being neglected.

This has a major age gap, age play but no ABDL, daddy / boy dynamics and explicit sex scenes. I'm going to be really honest age play Christmas books are one of my favorites because of the scenes during Christmas morning where the daddy set up the littles Christmas extravaganza. It's just extra soft and fluffy and cute and I enjoy.

I will be 100% transparent and admit that really nothing about age play/daddy kink has turned out to appeal to me (this is my first book of this genre). What *did* appeal to me was the emphasis on understanding, communication, compromise, and consideration within this kink and how beautifully the main couple navigated it together. The way they opened up to one another was honestly stunning. And it didn’t matter to me that they spent so little time together. I wholeheartedly believe in the unwavering strength of their relationship because the foundation they have both set is so solid. This romance felt like puzzle pieces finally coming together.

Just one note to consider: I feel that the blurb really downplays Forest’s role in Joseph’s childhood. He wasn’t just a “family friend” — he was basically Joseph’s childhood hero, the only adult he felt truly comfortable confiding in and being around, as well as his secret fantasy. Depending on your view, their history could make their relationship taboo, and though the story sorta acknowledges this (they both reference their histories a potential hurdle), it chooses to explore their past as a foundation on which they could comfortably develop into the kink. It just makes sense that the first relationship Joey navigates this kink with is with someone he trusts implicitly. I wasn’t necessarily averse to this fact, but I know some people feel odd about age gap relationships where the older MC has had a significant presence in the younger MCs life when they were a child. Just be aware of this if you’re considering reading :)

Snow Regrets by author M.A. Innes is the third book in the Snowed in Valentine’s Day Inc series. I really liked this one. I liked the blend of Daddy Dom, and more traditional I guess you would say Dominate behavior. This book is told in dual POV so you get to really feel what the characters are feeling and thinking.
Joseph is the younger man in this book. He is a sub by nature and wants a Daddy. He also needs a Dominate in his life. He is a complicated sub and needs a Daddy to match that. I liked that he is strong even though life has thrown him many curve balls he adapts and thrives.
Forest, he is supportive. Able to bend and able to be what Joseph needs. He has always had a special connection to Joseph but now he is able to take it to the next level. He is a caring doctor and he brings that into his personal life by caring for all around him. I loved him being the dom for Joseph and the Daddy. He has what it takes to be both.
Overall this is my first time reading this series, I was not lost at all. I also would love to go back and read the books I missed. This book really had all the feels. I love the deeper connection that being a Daddy Dom brings to this book. I look forward to more from this series in the future as well.

Joseph was kicked out of home when he was 18 and forced to make his own way in the world he is trapped in a remote cabin in a bad snowstorm with one of his father's former coworkers. He really doesn't want to be stuck with a sexy older man who he remembers from his childhood. Forest isn't looking for a relationship but when Joseph is grown up, hurting and back in his life he just can't walk away. His Daddy Dom's side refuses to leave Joseph confused and angry - can he get him to open up and help him move on from the past? When a boy is frustrated and confused, can a temporary Daddy step in and help, or will unexpected emotions steer things in a surprising new direction?

I enjoyed this story with the angry and upset boy, the calm and protective Daddy and a need to connect and have somewhere/someone to be their home. I loved Forest's gentleness and the way he listened and did not judge his boy for everything that had happened to him in the past. I also loved that Joseph was determined to not take advantage of any money that Forest had behind him to take away any of his hard-won independence. Easy to read, feel and understand. There was mature MM content in this BDSM-like DDLB relationship.

Please note - this was previously titled Snow Regrets as part of the Valentine's Inc series. No major modifications have been made to the story.

More than just a Daddy...

Joseph & Forest don't fall into the usual dad's friend trope. First, because Forest seemed to have always been more friend to a young Joseph than to his father. And second because the father really isn't a factor in their possibly getting together. This is more a childhood crush turns into so much more. Their past connection's depth didn't always feel... well developed? So we have to flatly accept that it was something genuine even though everything up to them saying it existed feels like two one time acquaintances in forced proximity. Regardless, the bond they form in the present is surprisingly rich. I would say that's do in large part to Forest; he is a unique combination of Daddy, Dom and the most insightful and understanding man you've ever met. So yeah, total fantasy but such a feel good read.

Joseph is finding his way, with Forest's gentle acceptance, toward the lifestyle and part of his sexuality he hasn't been able to explore. Their story is feel good with a very small touch of angst.

Though it may not go on my reread list, Forest is a character I won't forget. And Innes is a writer whose work IS a constant on my rereads so this is definitely worth the read.

So much yes

I would really love more and more of this sweet couple. Joey and Forest met because Forest was a doctor who worked with Joey's father. They had a special friendship until Forest signs up for Doctors Without Borders. In the meantime Joey is growing up and realizing he is interested in kink. Just before graduation his father discovers his secret and kicks him out when he graduates high school. Fast forward a couple years and Forest is back and is spending time in the cabin Joey's father owns. The story actually starts when Joey gets to the cabin and finds Forest there. There's hostility at first because Forest was misled and the cabin is co-owned by Joey and this is his time to use it. Joey is resistant to open up to Forest because he thinks Forest sides with his parents. But Forest is a patient Daddy Dom who decides to coax his old friend into opening up to him. I will leave it there except to say that a beautiful trusting relationship blooms between them.

I enjoyed this story so much. I could have easily read a book two or three times as long. But that's how you know it's good, right? When you don't want to let the characters go.
