This book is a collection of short unicorn stories. They have a very unique styly. Very Jackie French I suppose. Also I found it funny. What with Unicorns in the middle of Australia and futuristic settings where no one believes in giants because they never existed like werewolves koalas and dragons! and lions roam around with the kangaroos.
I am a massive fan of fantasy, so this book is obviously a favourite of mine. I don't have much to say about it, as it has been a LONG time since I've read it, what I do remeber is that enjoyed this book a lot. Like every other Jackie French book I have read.
Jackie French is a consistently excellent author for children and young adults, this collection of short stories featuring unicorns is a good example of what has made French one of Australia's most respected authors for younger readers.
I didn't realize this was just a collection of short stories about Unicorns. I would just start to get into the story and then it would be over. They didn't feel like complete stories to me.
