Here's the magical story of Starlight, a young unicorn who learns how being different from others can actually lead to togetherness and a comforting sense of belonging after all. There are two sets of stickers inside so you can match the stickers to the correct pages and then have extras for notebooks and folders, or save them and trade them!
Very pretty and fun for kids to match up the stickers to the correct pages. While we loved looking through pictures, the story is a bit disappointing. It just feels lacking and does not explain very well. If you are going to give a book like this several paragraphs a page, then I feel it should have taken 1-2 more to explain the ending a bit better. Yes it can be figured out at a guess but this makes a terrible bedtime story. Interactive and discussion provoking recommended. 3.5 stars.
This book has gorgeous illustrations and as an artist I really appreciate that. Also as a sticker collector I love that it comes with Gorgeous stickers in the same quality as the artwork I won’t be using them in the book, but rather for my own decorating purposes.
Overall though the story isn’t as good. I feel it starts off very well with the forest animals being jealous of the unicorn but the ending where she suddenly meets a bunch of her kind then gets stardust thrown on her that Magically makes the animals from her land like her seems like a major cop out and the ending needs more explanation. To fix this I would have had the animal realize that they didn’t mean to send the unicorn away and that they were mean and jealous and have it teach kids bullies actions are rooted in insecurities but no.
