The fates definitely love their version of Beauty and the Beast, especially when their beast comes with a record. Welcome to the Kinship Cove Diner, where a good cup of coffee comes with every fated mating.

I haven’t spent much time thinking about dating or mating or any of that sort of stuff. I’m more of a good girl, waiting for the fates to bring me my perfect match and working hard to help my family in any way possible. That’s how I ended up in Kinship Cove in the first place—my aunt needed help at her diner, so here I am. Staying in an old bed-and-breakfast, trying to avoid being yelled at by my loving—if not constantly frazzled—auntie, and avoiding winking shifters like the plague. Men? Not on my radar.
At least not until a beast of a man comes strolling through the door. Literally. He’s not what I expected—gray hair, deep, dark eyes, and a temper known throughout the town…including by local law enforcement.
The fates definitely want us together, but when his past comes fighting its way into our present, the fates may not be enough.
Love behind bars is a thing, right?

CAFFÉ WOLVERINO is a paranormal romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author Ellis Leigh. The story is a standalone PNR rom-com with wit, snark, shifters, and more than just flirting.
A storyteller from the time she could talk, USA Today bestselling author Ellis Leigh grew up among family legends of hauntings, psychics, and love spanning decades. Those stories didn’t always have the happiest of endings, so they inspired her to write about real life, real love, and the difficulties therein. From farmers to werewolves, store clerks to witches—if there’s love to be found, she’ll write about it. Ellis lives in the Chicago area with her husband, daughters, and a German Shepherd that refuses to leave her side.
Lucy is helping out her aunt at the diner as two of her cousins have recently mated, when Fate throws her a curve ball in the form of a huge, dark and hulking wolverine shifter.
This series isn't showing signs of stopping. I loved this one. While I mostly "empathize" with the heroines, it was all about the hero this time. He was just so...Dark, brooding, sweet, caring, overprotective, dangerous. And he was best friends with a reindeer shifter who cried when he had to wear pants and drove a huge red-painted boat of a car with attached sleigh bells and Christmas music blasting from the speakers. This was a bromance I wouldn't mind reading more about.
Sure, the story was a formulaic insta-romance, but the characters are always a high point, the cuddles are always hot and I'm really partial to the little town and its inhabitants. Give me more.
Lucy was helping out her aunt at her diner in Kinship Cove. She hasn't been thinking about dates, mates or anything like that. She was a good girl who was wating for fate to bring her her "perfect" guy. She was also a very hard worker. She was avoiding men that was until she met her fated mate. He wasn't what she expected.
Nijel, a Wolverine shifter abd the delivery guy who was known as a very temperamental person throughout the town, he was always in so kind of trouble even the cops knew of him and not in a good way. One day when he was making his delivery to the diner, he never thought he would found his fated mate there. He wasn't prepared for what fate had in store for him.
Lucy felt like she was kicked in the gut when her mate stayed quiet after meeting her. What she didn't know was that was his nature. Everything became clear to her when she was finally able to talk to him that very evening. It was rare for his kind to find their mates so it was very shocking to him. In spite of everything, they decided to give what was happening between them a try.
Loved how very protective and caring Nijel was when it came to Lucy. Especially when an unwanted person wouldn't get the hints that she wasn't interested in what he had to offer.
It was a treat to catch up with the Chance sisters, Misty (FONDANT FOX), Tilly (SALTED EAGLE) and the rest of the Kinship Cove community. It was also an honor to meet Nijel's best-friend, Bennett.
WOLVERINE WAFER is the sixth book in Ellis Leigh's KINSHIP COVE: MATE & MACAROONS series. It was fast-paced, intriguing and alluring. Ellis Leigh did an excellent job. Two thumbs up and a recommendation for you guys to give this series a try!
Let me start off by saying I think I have a wolverine in me....I will take down something twice my size to protect my family. I love how this story was much different than Ellis Leigh normal Kinship Cove love story. The dirtiness and stubborn heroin was still based but in a cute kinda of way, Lucy was a little video who was thrown off by the given as of her mate but she was sewed as well. Nijel was a brute of a man and a blue collar worker who tried to stay out of the spotlight. He was a brawler, humongous but with a really great personality once you get to know him problem is he used get into a lot of fights and took no names just opened a can of whoopass. What a man...But only when provoked. He didn't really react the way a mate would if they just meeting their fated which stung Lucy but not did he make up for it. This is a really fast paced story that I honestly could not put down. Then again I can never put down Ellis books it's like she gets me. She gives you what you need at just the moment. Feel good books that are fun, sexy fun times, and a whole lot of laying back and enjoying the scene like you are there experiencing it yourself.
I can’t get enough of the mating in Kinship Cove. A wolverine and a fox? Sure why the heck not! With the way that Ellis Leigh writes, it’s bound to be a great story.
And it was! Young Lucy comes to the cove to help her auntie out and ends up mating to the solitary, brooding, wolverine shifter, Nigel. At first you think they aren’t going to connect, that Nijel’s solo life is too strong to give up for a mate. Strong-willed Lucy is all “hell nah! You my beast now.” And our fighting prone shifter is wrapped around her foxy paws.
I love the stories that Leigh has woven around these two. We see old loves and new loves, new loves to come. I want everyone to fins what they need in the cove. Where’s my ticket?! I’m headed over.
What a sweet addition to this series with two lovely H’s in Lucy and Nijel. Nice to pop back to visit this town and its inhabitants. Loved what a gentle giant, sweetie Nijel was. No matter his past he was wonderful and gentlemanly with Lucy. No annoying drama but a troublesome character who needs a good lesson in manners. Read through kindle unlimited.
A cute refreshing love story. A beautiful fox and a grouchy sexy wolverine find love in a most unlikely place. Instant love true mate to true mate! Worried he was too rough, too big, too mean, and too old, he didn’t know what to do! Misunderstanding, arrested, and worried about his woman. Would she understand?
All the books in this series are fun reads full of heart, passion, and humour and this is no different. If you like a shifter romance and want an enjoyable afternoon read you will love this book.
He's got a bad boy reputation, known for having a temper mainly because of his animal side. She's just temporarily in town to help family but the fates plan on her staying.
Wolverine Wafer, book 7 of the A Kinship Cove Fun & Flirty series has a really neat shifter animal you don't see everyday, a wolverine. This book is easy to read and the characters are great. I love the reindeer shifter neighbor. Can't wait till his book comes out.
First wolverine shifter book, and I like the way the author portrayed them. He meets a young lady new to town. They both know they met their mate. There are a few problems, but they get through them and they have an happy ending.
A quick insta-love fated mate read, this time with a young virginal FMC (under 20yo) and a very old wolverine shifter MC (over 60yo). The quick novella format didn't help with character development and really fleshing out the characters to make the deep love they kept talking about believable. The FMC Lucy only really spent a few hours with her fated mate Nijel before declaring that he was sweet and protective and couldn't possibly be an asshole at all.
