Ian Marks is terrified of ghosts. Especially of the one that has just moved into his shed in the back yard of his house in New Orleans. Everyone else thinks he is just a drunk, but when his girlfriend is killed at night by a man with an axe, he knows he was right to be afraid.

Mary Mills and Joey Wilson are on a road trip to New Orleans to find their son, Salter. Mary’s brother has been spotted there and, together with her ex-husband, she is willing to fight Blake to get her son back. The question is whether Joey and Mary can find a way to work together again, when they have a hard time even speaking with one another. Will they be able to save Salter in time?

Meanwhile, a vicious killer who calls himself The Axeman is holding the city of New Orleans captive. A copycat killer who slaughters people in their beds with an axe much like the original Axeman did almost a hundred years ago. He claims to be an evil demon and only the ones who play jazz music will be spared. Soon, the music will sound louder than ever from every open window in the old city.

Finally got him!

Glad they finally got that bastard Blake! I'm saddened that I believe she wrapped it all up in a way that this might just be the last 7th street crew book though.

Careful Little Eyes is another great addition to the Willow Rose series, The Seventh Street Crew. The only complaint I have about this book is that it appears to be the last in the series. I've thoroughly enjoyed Mary Mills, her family and her friends in this series. Mary may be a journalist and a blogger but she makes quite an amateur Detective. When it comes to this book be careful what believe as you read because nothing is as it first seems.

Mary and her ex-husband, Joey are together and on the road to New Orleans in search of her serial killer brother, Blake, that has kidnapped their son, Salter. Mary has even more on her hands when she finds herself in the middle of a whole other series of crimes and she's the one that gets the warnings of when the crimes will happen. A copycat killer whom they call, The Axeman, is terrorizing New Orleans. The only thing that can save the people of New Orleans is to play Jazz Music when the killer hits on the night in question. Everytime a killing occurs when it's a quarter past night but the killer says if a home is playing jazz music he'll leave the occupants alone.

Great read. I'll miss Mary and the Seventh Street Crew.

Wonderful entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

Another will written murder mystery family and friends relationships adventure thriller novel by Willow Rose 🌹 (Mary Mills Mystery Series book 4). Blake has kidnapped Salture and gone to New Orleans. Mary and Joey are following the trail 👣 hoping to rescue their son. There is lots of action and violence in New Orleans. They find their son and are on their way back to Florida. Blake is caught and the family and friends are back together. I would recommend this series to readers of mystery novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening to books 📚. 2022 👒 😤😠😀

An Excellent Mystery!

This one had many twists, turns, and surprises, which I love in a good mystery! It also had a great romance with the ending I was hoping for! I hope it’s not the final Mary Mills Mystery, though (hint, hint Willow!). I definitely want more!!!

Oh no!! I cannot find a book 5 for The 7th Street Crew. I will definitely experience withdrawal because this is my favorite series. This book had all the suspense and excitement needed for a goodread. It ends with all the characters in good places in their lives. Willow knows how to create scary, bizarre and shocking thriller/mysteries and how to develop characters that fit right into her plots. This book had a little extra with the most heart warming scene I’ve ever read. It was the whole crew together helping Mary’s dad catch and ride a wave in. It should have been impossible but the bond of this group of friends is so strong, they can accomplish anything. I will miss the Crew terribly! There has to be more of this series. Soon Willow, please!

Ian Marks is terrified of ghosts. Especially the one that has just moved into his shed in the backyard of his house in New Orleans. Everyone else thinks he is just drunk, but when his girlfriend is killed at night by a man with an axe, he knows he was right to be afraid.

Mary Mills and Joey Wilson are on a road trip to New Orleans to find their son, Salter. The question is whether Joey and Mary can find a way to work together again when they have a hard time even speaking to one another. Will they be able to save Salter in time?

Filled with twists and surprises, this final book in the Mary Mills Mysteries series polished it all off perfectly. The suspense kept building, I've really enjoyed this series, and I'm glad I've finally started reading some of Willow's books. My heart was in my mouth when I read what the Seventh Street Crew did for Mary's dad. Now I'm going to have to choose which series of Willow's I'm going to read next.

Book #4 is a great read. It is almost impossible to guess the ending. Very few clues are given to the reader. With many authors, that would've been a disaster. Willow Rose made it work just as she does with all her 2 to 3 plot books.
Unlike many of her works, this one isn't as gory/graphic. Yes, there's violence, but it's not distracting and it isn't over the top, either. The plot was more of an in-depth mystery than straight horror. I really liked that although the Axeman is attributed by some characters as a paranormal fiend, it doesn't match the reality. It would've ruined the book for me if it had been.
Not all the members of the 7th Street Crew play a role this time. Mainly, it's all Mary & Joey with a little Chloe. There's a lot of character development for these two. Blake remains every sister's nightmare & the mega-villain that he's meant to be.
All told it's a fantastic mystery & a definite 4 star read.

Great Series

A very enjoyable, well put together series. Characters and plots are awesome. I really enjoy Willow Roses’ books and have read many of them and will no doubt read more. But I have a personal problem.
This is the second female protagonist in a series that gains weight until they are fat. They know they are getting fat but eat great quantities of cake, buns, candy bars, chips and cookies etc. They think about how fat they are getting and then immediately stuff themselves with calories. Does this make them more human? Not really. It makes them people with eating disorders and I just don’t want to read about it. And what if someone with an eating disorder reads this, feels a kinship and feels like they are justified in overeating because their favorite character does it.
There is really nothing wrong with being heavy, many people have a body type that is just heavy. But these characters are slim people who are gluttonous.

The whole “I’m fat, I’ve gained weight and I’m eating a bag of Oreos” got REAL old real fast for me. The whole obsessions with how Mary looks didn’t add a single thing to the story and really distracted me. I mean- I can’t see Mary. Why do I care? Mary- have some compassion for yourself. You’re going through a lot and if you gain weight- it’s not that serious. Who cares? The ghosts were distracting. Blake- oh my god- call the police when he’s in Florida. How many people has he murdered? You think there would be a massive man hunt going on for him. I really liked the first one but the third one I was like meh- this one- I’ll save you the trouble. Blake is the Axe man murdering people in New Orleans. He’s finally caught in like the last sentence of the book. They get salter back and no- no updates on how he is after being kidnapped for 3 months. Her dad goes surfing after almost getting killed by Blake when Blake slips away once again. There- I’ve saved you a couple hours of your life.

Will Mary and Joey find Salter?

It was great to see what was happening with the 7th Street Crew. Mary and Joey are frantic that Mary's brother, Blake, has taken their son Salter. They both know Blake has committed several murders and are afraid he might hurt Salter to get back at Mary. They find out Blake is in New Orleans and are on their way to find him and their son.

There are big changes in store for all involved. I'm trying to be careful to not reveal anything that might spoil the experience for new readers. You can expect suspense and surprises. I loved this book. My only complaint is editing. The book could use some careful eyes to look for errors that were a bit a annoying for this reader. The plot and characters are great. If you're new to Willow Rose, this series should be read in order. I highly recommend this author's work.

Book 4 of the 7th Street Crew series. Although this is really a Mary Mills novel, since we don't see too much of the rest of the gang. Not the best of the series but better than book 3.

Mary and Joey go to New Orleans following a lead on Blake and Salter. Of course Mary stumbles on a murder in her hotel. Believing that once again Blake is involved and that she is the only one to prove this, Mary injects herself into the investagation.

The story of New Orleans "Axeman" is true. It happened in 1918. Willow does a nice job bringing it into present day.
The part about Robyn and Suzy was interesting. I didn't care for the blending of the two stories with the murders.

Does Mary finally get Blake? Does she find Salter? Will she ever let Joey in again? I guess you just have to read the book and find out.

Another thriller series (4)by Willow Rose

Willow Rose knows how to write heart racing, mind blowing, keeping you on the edge of your seat with bated breath while you’re voraciously immersed in the twists, turns and knock out punches that just keep coming during her thriller mystery series. What makes her stand alone above the rest of her genre contemporaries is her equally enthralling way she blends the goodness and kindness of humanity alongside such harrowing ugliness that humans have fought against since the beginning of time. She’s keen to leave her readers with the perfect blend between the juxtaposition of good vs evil and no matter how dark and riveting the plot line gets she’s an incredible ability to leave us feeling full of hope grace and cheering for the better good.

"Stunning Conclusion"

Here's another awesome, horrifying mystery from the Queen of Scream. She's amazingly creative, and I don't think she sleeps soundly at night as her brain whirls with ideas for her stories. Now, Ian Marks has lived six months in New Orleans. He soon realizes that ghosts exist in many places which is acceptable to the New Orleans residents. He quickly learns to be afraid as his girl friend is killed with an axe. Mary Mills and Joey Wilson think they may find their son, Salter, in New Orleans as he has been kidnapped by her brother, Blake. Mary is ready to conclude her chase after her brother, wanting to kill him. But, who will die before she and Joey locate him? I believe this may be the last episode to this exciting thriller series.

I love Willow Rose mystery books, and just tried her Mary Mills series for the first time recently. The way she weaves a story in a story is wonderful. Over the course of the book, you have two mysteries to solve, plus figure out how one relates to the other. The stories keep your interest right up to the end. Also, the 7th Street Crew, Mary's neighborhood friends since childhood, are sometimes part of the mystery, or help Mary to solve a mystery. "Careful Little Eyes" is the 4th in the series, and stayed true to form with the two stories. There were twists and turns throughout the book, that made it hard to put down. I would recommend these books to anyone that enjoys a fast paced entertaining mystery.

Save Your Son

Wow! Mary and Joey set off toNew Orleans to get Salter back before a serial killer can kill him too. Mary and Joey are seperated and both think the other has moved on but their love is stronger than they know and they want to be a family again. The serial killer is Mary's brother and he is closer than they think. Killings begin in New Orleans and Mary wants to stop the killings as well as rescue her son . Careful Little Eyes is a roller coaster ride from the first page. I loved this book. I was on the edge of my seat throughout u til tne exciting end. Thank you Willow Rose for another thrilling read.

Its hard walking through muck

Ok first of all I mistakenly gave a rating of 4 when I actually meant to give a rating of 1. Why? Because I found this read too confusing. I felt it was pieced together. I really wanted it to end. If there hadn't been little children involved I probably would have stopped reading this book. Then it became a challenge to finish it. I don't like challenges, so I read the whole book. I have to admit that some of the plot towards the end propelled me to finally finish it but it was a struggle. If you decide to read "Little Eyes" I sincerely hope you enjoy it 😊

Careful Little Eyes is the fourth and final book of the 7th Street Crew series. All the main issues from the series are resolved in this book. It was okay but I didn't like it as well as the first three books. It just didn't seem to have the depth or detail as the others. Kinda felt rushed. I think part of the problem for me was that it didn't involve the majority of the crew. It was mostly just Mary & Joey. The climax seemed anti-climatic to me, especially the stuff about Blake.

For those who want to know: This one has language and violence.

Mary Mills Series

I have just finished the four book Mary Mills series by Willow Rose. They were all such good mysteries. They all take place in Cocoa Beach, Florida and are about a group of adults who have known each other since childhood and back then labeled themselves The 7th Street Crew being as they grew up on 7th Street. Some of the books are scary too! One of the kids grows up to be a serial killer! Don’t miss these mysteries.

Fast paced

Awesome story. A continuation from book 3. Recommend you read the first three book. The Seventh Street Gang are riding the waves of life again. Trying to find Mary’s brother, getting involved with a serial killer in New Orleans. As always the Queen of Scream has written a fast paced story with all the right characters, full of life and fighting for what’s right. Highly recommended.

A thrill a minute! Willow Rose has an edge-of-your-seat gift!

Mary Mills is on a mission to find her brother. That’s how she’ll find her son. He didn’t run away after all. Although this is way worse. They finally catch a break with a spotting a New Orleans, thanks to her friend Chloe’s computer hacking skills. Her ex, Joey, and Mary are off on a quest. It’s too risky to involve the police just yet. They have a better chance. Or so they hope.

I really enjoyed the series with Mary Mills and the 7th street crew.

Mary Mills seems to have a knack for finding trouble. She had no idea her baby brother was a killer, much less a serial killer. She and her ex go to New Orleans to find her ten-year old son who was kidnapped by her own brother to get back at her. I'm just glad that the violence didn't include anyone eating their victims.

wonderful!

everything comes to a head for Mary and Joey. As they attempt to put their lives back together, they are also trying to desperately find their son before it’s too late! Mary, knows all too well, the danger her son is in. She knows the killer, a little more closely than she would like! once again, Willow Rose has given us another thrilling, highly suspenseful, entertaining read!

This seems to be the last book in the series, and I can say that, if it that so, I'm satisfied, as all the aspects of the story are closed and all the characters are at a good place.

I enjoyed the way in which the New Orleans Ax Murder's legend was played in here and the way in which it gets entwined with Salter's kidnapping and Mary and Joey's search for their son.

A very good story, with lots of suspense and a great ending.

I went back and forth on 3 or 4 stars. I love whodunnits and this one was interesting but never could you guess the killer by what you are reading. There are no clues to get you there. That being said, it was a good read, a fast read. I had no idea it was part of a series until the end. I would try another in the series.

Do you believe in ghosts?

The 7th street crew is up against stranger foes than just a murderous brother on the run. When their son is taken, it's ghosts leading them to clues solving the crime. But do they believe? This is another thrilling ride through New Orleans and Florida that'll keep you guessing.

Another amazing read

I read this book after reading the first three Mary Mills books. I loved the series. All of the characters are brought to life in the story. I couldn't put the books down. I loved the way that there was a sub story being told in the background that eventually tied in with the main story. I love Willow Rose books and this series did not disappoint at all.
