I wish this book was listed more as an “Everyone” book instead of kids. It has so much amazing information and trivia. Any age would enjoy this. It covers dinosaurs, astronomy, insects, what scientists believe the future will be like in 2070, sea life, weather, and a ton more.

The only juvenile parts are the games, but I still enjoyed most of those and there aren’t too many in the book.

This book is full of weird facts and details about exploration, history, space, science, animals, ecosystems, geography, and nature. So of course, I devoured this book and enjoyed every colorful page!

With beautiful photos and maps, this book gives a quick look into fascinating cultures, amazing explorers, newly discovered animal species, and dazzling planets and stars all over the galaxy.

I especially loved the section about Space and Earth. It has information about minerals, and lava, and how the earth is formed, and about the vastness of space and all the wild phenomena out there in the universe. There are sections for dwarf planets and black holes, and of course a 2021 calendar of the best times to watch the skies for meteor showers, supermoons, or an eclipse.

There is also a cool history section full of amazing facts about Native Americans, Egyptian mummies, the city of Petra, the Chinese terra-cotta warriors, and a list of all the American presidents and their stats.

The geography section has a list of the flags of each country and some stats about each nation. The maps of each continent include some facts about the highest and lowest places on the continent, the population, the largest lakes or mountain ranges, and the coldest or hottest areas.

There even some quizzes and activity pages! The book would be a useful tool for school, since it has "Homework Help" pages with tips on how to give an oral report, how to write a biography, how to join a science fair, how to read a map, and how to research a different country.

As always, I am very impressed with Nat Geo's beautiful photos and colorful pages! This is a must-read for any kid who is curious and loves to learn.

With eleven different categories and over 500 amazing photos, there is something in this almanac for everyone. I always learn something when I look through these books and the kids love these books as well.

Right away in the Your World section, I found a listing of upcoming movies for 2021. Obviously, due to COVID, these could be subject to change. But, I was thrilled to see “Mary Poppins 3” and a live action “Little Mermaid” in the works. I also always find the newly discovered animals so fascinating. Two new birds have been discovered in Indonesia, a new fish off the coast of Zanzibar, eleven species of rain frogs in Ecuador, and a rare Orangutan in Sumatra. Obviously, none of these new animals are close to here, but I still find it fascinating that new species are being identified.

Other sections like the Space and Earth section offers a cool Sky Calendar for 2021 for all those who love super moons and meteor showers. Mark April 26 for a Super Moon and August 22 for a Blue Moon if you are interested! I also find it so fascinating that the ISS circles the Earth every 90 minutes.

Kids will love the Fun and Games section full of jokes, quizzes, games, and fill-ins. Really, I could rave about so many facts from every single section of this book. There is always something that I learn on every single page and the best part for kids is that these facts and information are given in small bites that keep kids interested and turning the pages. Obviously, the book is full of amazing photography and illustrations.

We can think about 2020 being a rough year, or we can travel through the pages of this Almanac and realize all the amazing things that are happening in our world. I prefer the latter.

What can you except from the National Geographic Kids Almanac 2021? Readers will find over 500 incredible photos, fun games, amazing animals, extreme exploration and technology. Kids will be amazed, yet again.

This latest almanac offers up a new challenge for kids to help clean up plastic and make a difference. Almost nine million tons of plastic enters the ocean each year. There is plenty of information for kids to get involved. There are “Bet You Didn’t Know” fun facts found throughout these pages and offer cool tidbits on food, the human body, space travel and more. If you love quizzes this handy tool encourages reading and testing your knowledge. Would you be interested in owning a sky calendar? Inside these pages readers can learn about mercury, lunar eclipses, Saturn and more.

Readers can learn more about mythology, world religions, life in the past, presidents, geography and other countries. Parents and teachers can use this guide as a tool that offers plenty of information that’s packed into smaller snippets for encouraging learning, reading comprehension and overall fun for kids. Beautiful photos and educational illustrations will keep kids engaged. Other resources are included on the back pages as well.

This almanac is designed for children, but adults can enjoy it. I love looking at things I have never seen before. There is picture of a scorpion that is colored blue. There is another picture of a skyscraper made of straw that is designed to harness wind to make electricity. My other favorite picture is of the one eyed cat that surfs in Hawaii where I live.

The pictures are enjoyable to look at, but there is also information that I can use in my work as a service provider in this almanac. There is great information about how to write an effective essay and how to give a good oral presentation. I do a lot of writing and speaking at work, so this information is very useful to me.

I have heard the word namaste used all the time, and I finally learned that it means hello in the Hindi language. I love to eat ginger bread houses, and I will make one using the instructions in this book when I have some time. The different kinds of information in this book makes it enjoyable to read.

Thanks to National Geographic, your curious kids will find hours of enjoyment between the covers of their 2021 almanac. Colorful graphics and National Geographic's signature awesome photographs make this book pop. Besides fun facts and useful information divided into 11 broad categories (space, technology, history, geography, and so on), the almanac includes games, quizzes, and experiments. Perfect for gift-giving and to have on hand for supplementing home and distant learning.

Thanks to Media Masters and National Geographic for the review copy.

We've had a few National Geographic Kids' almanacs in our home over the past several years. And these books never disappoint. This year's Almanac 2021 is divided into 11 sections that cover a wide, I mean WIDE, range of topics.
Readers will learn about exploring, animals, nature, space, science, cultures, history, geography, and conservation. And, not to be forgotten, this book also has games and crafts...

i'd say it's very interesting to read but since i buy the almanac series every year, i find the information very repetitive and some of them are exact copies of the previous almanacs
also since biden is the president now, they should probably update the page about presidents and rulers in the world :>

I hate to say it but the cover caught my eye.

I loved books like these as a child and was compelled to pick it up. Found it to be extremely interesting. Kids and adults would enjoy this title. National Geographic Kids has a solid reputation of being a go to for anyone wishing to explore the world.

The world that felt so small through my adult eyes was suddenly so vast.
