3.5 stars. Although this is a great recipe collection, it's not a book I'd want myself. I took this out of the library and enjoyed reading Matt's commentary and looking through the recipes but so much in here is food I cook anyway. This would make a good recipe book for those new to cooking or to the idea of eating plant based food. There's lots of family favourites in here, chillies, wraps, stir fries, bao buns, shepherd's pie and that sort of thing, there's a section on barbeque food and Christmas food. I do find it frustrating to have a small section on a theme like this, I would be much more interested in having a whole Matt Pritchard book on Christmas food rather than just a couple of recipes.
There's a cake section and the title page shows Matt eating a really good looking cake, presumably a matcha cake, it was green and was extremely well risen for a vegan cake, it was one I definitely wanted to try, however looking through this section twice, I found this recipe wasn't included! Hopefully that will be in his next book!
I find this fella irritating on the telly, he has good recipes though. The first book is OK, the rice pud recipe is amazing, this one is better though, overall and is really good value.
