After years of assuming she was a beta, discovering her omega designation in a biker bar surrounded by alphas isn’t exactly fulfilling any fantasies for Baby. She only wanted to get laid, not get knotted, bitten, and bonded. Now Baby’s entire life is about to turn upside down.
With the sexual frenzy of her heat on its way, she needs to find a pack, a nest, and alphas she can trust.
The Late Night Howlers have given up hope…
After years of waiting for an omega to choose them, this motorcycle club of alphas is ready to move on with their lives. Until one sweet woman takes a chance on them.
A rundown bar and apartment building is no place to spoil a new omega but the Howlers are determined to do right by Baby when she needs them. All they have to do is keep her satisfied while resisting the mouthwatering temptation to bite and bond her, permanently.
When a rival MC comes sniffing after Baby, her safety is put at risk and the Howlers may be torn apart forever.
Kathryn Moon is a country mouse who started dictating stories to her mother at an early age. The fascination with building new worlds and discovering the lives of the characters who grew in her head never faltered, and she graduated college with a fiction writing degree. She loves writing women were are strong in their vulnerability, romances that are as affectionate as they are challenging, and worlds that a reader sinks into and never wants to leave. When her hands aren't busy typing they're probably knitting sweaters or crimping pie crust in Ohio. She definitely believes in magic.

This was so fucking fun, incredibly hot and i adored it
So I’m obsessed with Kathryn Moon because all her books are just intensely horny women being taken care of by a million hot dudes. What’s not to love?
Only reason this gets a four instead of a five is because Jonah and his insecurities drove me to drink! I get his reasoning but he was shitty and dismissive of Baby’s ability to make her own choices and know her own mind. He was annoying as hell!
Ryan, Mackenzie, Sanjay, Seth and Quincy supremacy!!!
There are record breaking smut levels in this book. I can't believe I'm going to say this but far too much smut really.
Buddy Read with the addicts @ Reverse Harem Revolution. First things first, this is Omegaverse (lets just call it OV from now on Okay?) If you don't know what that is ...then go look it up because I seriously can not explain it. Although Baby &tLNH does do a great job of explaining this niche genre. It might be a good place for beginners. Just don't do like I did and wonder why no one is shifting into a wolf. They don't. They are very animalistic but not actual shifters. You'll find words like Present, perfume, scent marking, heat, growl, purr, knot, whine....yea just like dogs.
My journey though baby's heat looked like this 20% I really love how she's writing this! its so perfectly thought out. I really thought she was going to get claimed in that bar but wow no its like a whole process and I love it. Its early for fangirling but right now I swear I'm > < this close to mailing Moon and telling her what a genius she is.
30% This is too cute I'm melting right along side Baby here. I’ve took into it at a serious pace today. Can’t put it down
64% Soooo muchhhhh smutttt. Borderline too much by now but she’s keeping it interesting! there’s a little plot now
70% Does perfuming sound gross to anyone else? she needs some "fade to black" here
This is super long 81% I think I’m never gonna get to the end
91% I’m pretty much ready to move on now
I have mixed feelings. It all started so well and it was so exciting to read something so different in the OV genre. Usually it involves very dominant Alphas, blurry lines of consent and total power exchange. This just turned it on its head. Baby had a whole process to choose her pack and her alphas, they didn't claim her without her permission and everything was on her terms. As well as OV its also MC. Now I'm not a massive fan of MC and happy to report it didn't play a big part. Baby also refuses to call the club girls "sweet butts" *shiver* that was a big plus for her.
The downside to the MC is that pesky thing where the guys have a club nickname and also a real one. The harem is large and other than 4 or 5 exceptions I had no idea who was who for 70% of this. But when they're spending half of the book in bed (nest sorry) does it really matter?
Long story short, the smut was good while it was fresh and new but quickly grew old. 100 pages needed to be skimmed off or else more plot added.
For OV though it was unique in its cuteness and Kathryn Moon is still a genius. If I wrote OV this is how I would want it to look.
Ohmygosh I can’t stop smiling thinking of this stupid book. It was perfection turned into an omegaverse RH book.
Baby was most probably the biggest surprise for me. With that name, I was expecting a soft, submissive omega. Instead I got a smart-mouthed, sassy HBIC who knew what she wanted and wasn’t shy about it. And I was so here for it. I fell in love with her as much as the rest of the pack did and I understood perfectly well why they did.
I loved the fact that she only bonded with some of the alphas of the pack, instead of all them. And how she respected those other alphas’ previous relationships and even befriended their girls. I loved to see some Girls Helping Other Girls mixed in with the forest of alpha weenies.
This book was in great need to move the list of main characters from the back to the front of the book. I only saw it when I finished the story, and let me tell you, it got helluva confusing for a long second at the beginning with all those hot alphas being introduced one after another. And the fact that everyone had a nickname and the author jumped from Name to Nickname all the damn time only made things worse.
That’s why I’m gonna scratch that inch and I’m going to write down my own Alphas Glossary:
Scorch aka Jonah was the President of the MC and the unofficial leader of the pack. I loved his relationship with Bomber but overall, Alpha dude drove me up the fucking wall. He didn’t listen to Baby, he was too focused on his issues to see what was really going on. Baby told him multiple times she wanted the Bite and to stay with the pack and he always dismissed her and thought she might want it now but would end up regretting her decision over time. What a paternalistic douche, if you ask me. Girl said she wanted it, respect her and her own choices. He got better at the end but still, can’t say he’s one of my faves.
Bomber aka Seth was Jonah’s beta boyfriend and he was hot af 🔥 I found him more interesting and hotter than some of the alphas, ngl. He’s Latino and bisexual. God blessed us all with this one.
I was really mad when I found out Jonah had been dating him for 10 friking years without Bonding with him. Talk about having issues. That’s what Therapy is for, my dude. At least Jonah bonded with Seth and Baby in the end and it was all fucking perfect. But god, my poor Seth. He was too good for Mr Issues Alpha.
Mackenzie aka Books. Oh my gosh. Their first knotting scene, when they role played. I was panting. Books is too sexy for words. And I love the fact that he doesn’t have abs and he’s a redhead with freckles covering his whole body. You don’t usually get alpha men looking like that, even less being described as this desirable sexy man looking like that. So you know, I’m here for all of it. He was book smart but also a kinky mofo in secret with a dirty mouth and that just made him ten times hotter for me.
Sanjay aka Tornado. We got an Asian man in the harem, can I get an Hallelujah?! He was so quiet and tormented, yet so tender with Baby. His backstory and current night terrors/PTSD made my heart ache. I was so into his scenes with Baby and Mackenzie. The thing those two alphas had going on was definitely IT for me.
Bullet aka Quiney. Jesus take the wheel, I can’t be responsible for my actions in front of this man. Whew. His backstory only made him hotter. His unapologetic way of just being himself was even hotter if possible. When he went into a Rut with Baby and still kept his head. Jfc this man was pure sin.
Green aka Ryan. Look, I’m not much into age gaps in romances and Ryan definitely sounded older than the others, but the way he worked with Baby so well just won me over. Their intimacy made me ache in the best possible way. The fact that he couldn’t hold back from Biting her and thus decided to stay away to protect her… gush, I love that kinda angst. Hell yes.
Cole aka dickhead. I saw it coming, still it was super disgusting and perturbing. I appreciated the author giving a heads up at the beginning and offering the possibility of skipping the triggering chapter and just read a summary. That being said, I absolutely loved Baby in that chapter. I have a thing for women killing men and bathing in their blood.
Lola. I can’t wait to read her books, I felt so bad for her and we barely learned anything of what happened to her. I’m literally anxious just thinking about it. I need my poor girl to find her perfect pack, pretty please.
That female alpha pack was so interesting, I’m hoping we get more of them in future books.
Overall I think what got me hot and bothered in this book was the fact that the Alphas were almost terrified and had no idea how to deal with their new Omega at first. Their inexperience combined with how hard they tried to please her just made me swoon…? I don’t understand either but it is what it is 🤷🏻♀️
3.5 stars Booktok made me read this! I was wary going into this book. I read Lola's book before this, and I was curious as to what the hype was about. This book was fairly decent, but I think I just expected more. I wish the epilogue was extended and not a segway to the next books. The plot revolving around the Howlers club was enjoyable. I was intrigued by the take that there was a designated centre for the omegas. Baby and Ryan were my favourite characters, I just wished that there were more scenes with Seth, Jonah and Baby together.
Quite a long book, and very well-written, but I just never liked the heroes very much.
26-year-old Baby has just discovered she's an omega, so she needs to find a group of alphas to help her through her first heat. The Omega Centre helps her hook up with the Late Night Howlers - a 'pack' of older alphas who are ecstatic to have her. Cue almost a book of sex with a surprisingly strong plot to balance it out.
Unfortunately, while the writing was excellent, I didn't feel ANY sexual tension between the heroine and her heroes. I know this is subtitled 'a sweet omegaverse', but it was just TOO sweet. The heroes also always didn't have very well-defined personalities, they weren't described in ways that made them sound too attractive (one is called 'heavy-set') and the only 'hero' I actually liked turned out to be the bad guy.
Shame, because the sex scenes were great and I liked the heroine.
Color me impressed. This has to be one of the best Omegaverse reverse harems I've ever read. I put off reading it because it has everything that isn't my reading preference.
1) Sweet omegaverse (I have enjoyed it, but tend to favour darker OV) 2) Reverse harem (Def not my preference) 3) A MC gang (Not my favoured romance subgenre) 4) A MMF dynamic (Again not my preference, but I have enjoyed it before)
I think it's a testament to the author's writing skills & talent that this book ended up charming me not just despite all those elements, but because of them. It all worked, really well here. I don't know what it was but I sped through this (lengthy) book in one day, trying to find excuses to set aside what I was doing to find a minute to read a bit more.
Random thoughts:
► I found Bomber very charming. He's the guy in college that got laid the most because he was so friendly, funny, and good at making girls feel comfortable around him. He has game.
► Jonah is the handsome guy in college that got laid the least because he was too shy & nervous to ever talk to girls. At one point I got annoyed that Jonah was so hesitant to knot & bond with Baby, but I think that was intentional on the author's part.
► Green was my favorite. I'm glad
► The twist with .
► I felt like all the guys had distinct personalities, and I liked how I found out more about all of them as the story developed.
► Mackenzie being called "books" simply because he's willing to use google when the other guys are too lazy cracked me up.
Will definitely be reading more from this author 👍["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
The best introduction to omegaverse that anyone could hope for.
When I first finished this book, I thought it was a 4-star read. But these characters stayed in my head and I found myself missing them so much, which meant I had to bump it to a 5-star read.
This book reminds me a lot of Kathryn's A Lady of Rooksgrave Manner because it is very sex heavy in comparison to the plot. This is not something I mind, however, when it comes to Kathryn Moon because she manages to find a way to weave such beautiful emotional connections that override anything else. I freaking loved how Baby made her connections with each of her men and how they were all so different and had their own meanings to her.
Kathryn's humour is also on a whole other level. I found myself laughing so much and it made this book all the more fun because you truly felt like they were a family.
Also, my fave scene is when they rock up to Bullet's place and are all like, "bro...wtf." (I'm laughing about it again just thinking of it and it has been weeks since I finished this.)
I am so glad that Kathryn walked us through her omegaverse and what everything meant, it was so helpful to a first-timer like myself.
My only issue is that my dumbass had a hard time remembering who was who because I would get their MC nicknames mixed up with their real names and forget which one correlated to who...But that is a me problem haha
p.s. Seth <3 <3 <3
“I’m not done becoming the man I want to be for you, love,” Tornado said, dark eyes serious and fixed to mine. “No one’s done becoming who they want to be,” I said. “I want the man in front of me right now.”
I'm convinced that no matter how *bad* a Kathryn Moon book is, it still isn't that bad because I really enjoy her writing. This book was objectively fine, I didn't love the biker gang vibe and setting, which was only personal preference. I only read it to get to the more popular sequels, so it was a good intro to the world that was a fast and entertaining read.
Reread again! Probably my favorite Omegaverse to date! One of my RARE 5* reads and a favorite still.
Reread, I never did get around to that full review lol but the fact that I'm already rereading this should say clearly how much I love this book. Rating bumped up a rare for me 5 stars. I'm so disappointed Lola's books didn't work for me.
As to safety this is Omegaverse so Baby has sex with 6 of the guys I f I'm remembering the numbers correctly She almost had sex with another who she'd originally wanted but stopped No cheating or sharing Sexy times were perfection Baby and another woman were kidnapped and attacked The guys were in a mc so there were sweet buts around but it'd been a while since any of the guys had been with them
original thoughts Y'all I'm so behind on my reviews it's not even funny 😭. This was my 3rd read in this genre??trope?? Idk the omegaverse thing lol but damn I really enjoyed this one....I mean Baby was basically living my dream 😂. If anyone's got recs for SAFE ones like this hook a sista upppppp.
✅ Reverse-harem ✅ Omegaverse ✅ A LOT OF SMUT ✅ Pace 🆗 Plot 🆗 Characters
Let's be honest, the plot here is only an excuse to read smut, smut, and more smut. This is a very smutty reverse-harem.
Baby (yes, that's her actual name...) has just discovered she's an omega at 26 years old, and now she needs to find a pack of alpha ASAP to help her get through her first heat. The Omega Centre helps her hook up with the motor club pack Late Night Howlers.
Unfortunately, while the writing was good, I didn't really feel the sexual tension between the characters. It was basically insta-lust and then a sex fest. Sadly, the alphas didn't all have very well-defined personalities, but they made up for it by being sex machines all throughout the book. 🤭
So yeah, this is a book for you if you are looking for smut, sweet romance, mild omegaverse, and an okay plot just so it can be called a novel and not a collection of sexy short stories.
So I think this book did it. I now hate the word baby. Babies are no longer being born every millisecond of the day. No, they are now known as spawns. Cute little devilish spawns. You can also now get creative with nicknames for loved ones or dogs. Just please, for the love of god - don't use the B word anymore.
Baby was used and abused throughout the book. No, not the character. Just the name. The characters themselves were okay, very insta-lust throughout the book. Which don't get me wrong, I do love some paranormal shifter romance from time to time. It was just very hot and heavy for the entire book. If there was an actual story, I wouldn't be able to tell you.
Back to the characters, eh - they were okay. The girl annoyed me so much though and I couldn't find anything likable about her. She was just needy and ugh.. not like other omega's that I've read about. In the end, it was an okay book and I don't know if I'm going to dive into her best friends book unless she is less annoying.
This book was kind of weird. The first part was really good. The story was interesting and new. The grammar was very good and the book was definitely edited well. But then “Baby”, which is a really stupid name which I attempted to overlook, meets her “alphas”. The book takes a strange turn at this point. Suddenly all the alpha’s are using the word “ain’t” and all the “g’s” are dropped off the end of all their words. It’s like Baby was suddenly taken to the Deep South hills where no one remembers how to talk. Also Baby is super attracted to a beta Seth. When Baby goes into heat... Seth is the one to sleep with her. Yet this MC is just filled with Alphas who are all waiting to sleep with her. Baby calls all the shots and the Alphas are like “sure, whatever you want.” The Alphas come off as very feminine. The descriptions of the Alphas is muddy and I couldn’t keep track of them. However, I knew exactly what Seth the beta was doing all the time. This is a giant NO for me. I would not recommend this book.
Omegaverse, Reverse Harem, and MC all rolled into one...Yes please!!!
This was a great Omegaverse story if you are like me and don't really care for the ones that are all rape with degradation that somehow blooms into love. I love Kathryn Moon and I loved her take on Omegaverse. I enjoyed how the Alphas could live and work together without it always being a fight for dominance. Baby was a tough independent omega and it was nice to have the relationships build and grow with each Alpha. Of course all the hot, scorching sexy times with the alphas didn't hurt either. Great job hope there's more in the future!!
I had seen this book mentioned several times in an Omegaverse group I belong to, but the title had totally put judgemental ol’ me off giving it a try. Reading a very positive review by a trusted Goodreads friend, and seeing that she recommended it, was enough to change my mind – and am glad I did. Baby and the Late Night Howlers is a fun and feisty mash up of RH, romantic suspense and omegaverse, with a very light dash of biker romance too.
Despite that very cheesy title, what I found was a well written, entertaining, and enjoyable story. The author took the time to build distinct characters for each of the male protagonists, allowing me to distinguish one from another. I did feel that at times it slowed the pace a little but I would rather have that and “know” all the men, rather than have them blur into one homogenous, indistinguishable mass. I did struggle with the flicking between club names and real names. Sticking with one, until there had been sufficient time to link the name to the person and their job, would have worked better for me. I did discover a glossary at the end of the book (and after I’d finished reading it) which would have been much more useful had it been at the beginning!
This was unusual in that, unlike the majority of reverse harem stories, there wasn’t one male who was in charge or, or more dominant than, the rest. Whilst Jonah is the President of the Late Night Howlers MC he doesn’t rule over the pack, so although we meet him first (well other than Seth, his beta) he isn’t the “main” man. I mention that because other reviewers did have an issue with it, and forewarned is forearmed, as they say.
A big positive for me was that we didn’t (as can also so often be the case in RH books) get just one “big scene” with each male before moving off to the next love interest. The balance between sex scenes and story was good, this had plenty of plot to hold my interest. The sex was scorching hot, and it’s one of the things we read OV stories for, but the individual scenes didn’t drag or feel as though the went on too long.
Could I choose one of the men as my favourites? I don’t think I can, I was very much swayed by who Baby was with at the time. S eth and Books/MacKenzie were both very focused on Baby, all her men were BUT this pair seemed to understand her needs more than the others did. Bullet/Quincey was the most in-your-face dominant and protective but I loved that Green/Ryan had that natural sexual dominance. I could understand Jonah’s reticence and his issues with claiming Baby and I loved her acceptance and understanding of it, even though it stung. One of my favourite aspects was that this wasn’t a world of downtrodden Omegas, Baby kicked ass – literally – and wasn’t afraid to go after what, and who, she wanted.
I also very much enjoyed seeing the beta’s take a more prominent role. So often they are portrayed as boring, downtrodden and even worthless, but Kathryn Moon has made them just as vital a part of the world as alphas and omegas are. I know I mentioned earlier that some parts were a little slow, but I do think the author missed an opportunity of having meaningful scenes between the beta females and Baby. I’m not sure this would pass the Bechdel–Wallace test. That said, overall I was very impressed with the book. The world building was solid too, a contemporary setting but where the A/B/O dynamic exists and so alpha’s, in general, will form a pack. I definitely intend to read more from this author.. I definitely intend to read more from this author.
What in the world? What a drag. I tried to find something likable about this book. I really tried. I picked it up multiple times in order to finish it. I don't like to leave books but I just can't with this one. I hate to sound mean but this book is just not smart. I've read better written fanfics than this book. Read 14/42.
I feel like this book is omegaverse in name only.
Baby doesn't have the character of an Omega, she just doesn't. She's sweet, no doubt, and self-sacrificing in so many way, so much so that she doesn't even need the Alphas to woo her, she has to woo them.
The Alphas aren't Alpha material. The most self-denying Alphas I've ever read about. And I'm very particular about the MC books I read because most of the time the men just seem like dumb lowlifes and the writing is just bad.
Pages: 339 My rating: 3 Read other books by this author in the future: yes
This is my first omega verse book and I read it for the RHR Group’s reading challenge. I actually planed to read it with the #cakeeaters of this group but it took me a long time to finish it. I am not sure where to place it in the groups reading challenge at the moment.
Being generous, 70 % of this book is smut. And the rest is a plot. Baby (that’s the heroines real name!) finds out that she is an omega after she thought for more than 25 years that she was a beta. And omegas are in great danger, because there are alphas out there who would force bond them. The other 30 % is a story about two rivalling MC gangs, one which Baby chose to become her pack and one who resemble more the criminal MC’s we all heard about.
This book pushed me out of my comfort zone, because normally I prefer slow burn romances with a good story. But here it was more one smutty scene after the other. I was thinking of not finishing it, but then I didn’t do this point of the challenge. So I read it in small doses, and I took gaps in-between until I finish it today, and I will never reread it. The author has a good writing style so it was an okay read. I will try a non omega verse of this author at some point.
This was SO GOOD. Seriously, I know it's one I'm going to read again and again.
I tried omegaverse books twice before and always ended up DNFing because consent is a big deal for me, and it was non-existent in those books. They were a big nope.
But this book was just fantastic, and incredibly sweet. This is what I'm want in an alpha - growly and bossy is fine, but it has to be rooted in protection and taking care of those less powerful. This book is all about that, and it was delicious. I literally could not put it down.
Re-read June 2022 Echoing all the above, but also want to add that one of the best things about this book is that Baby is no wilting damsel. She stands up for herself, and handles her own shit. She's a damn great character.
Happy Omegaverse. I think this book makes a little more sense if you’ve read an omegaverse book before, but it’s also pretty easy to catch on, even without explanations. I loved that all of the alphas were good to Baby, even though they weren’t perfect. I also enjoyed that there were other women in the pack but that didn’t cause any drama. Really great! ♥️🌿
This is my first omegaverse and I am so upset that I DIDN'T JUMP INTO THIS GENRE EARLIER.
WHAT THE HECK THIS WAS SO GOOD.
Sassy heroine with a backbone and asked for what she wanted? Love it. Big alpha dudes bending over backwards to please their omega? Yes, please. Several alphas having their own unique dynamic with the omega? Shut up, this is perfection. Add in women supporting women instead of tearing each other down, and I think I could cry at how beautiful this all came together.
This is character driven as heck with tons of smut before the main conflict kicks in, and it's all absolutely delectable. I loved how easily the author slips you into this omegaverse by both explaining how this all works while writing as if the reader knows what's going on. There's alphas/betas/omegas, scenting, nesting, knotting, rutting, biting, and bonding. If you're into shifter romances, some/most of this should be familiar to you.
The antagonist in this is really obvious from the get-go, but I don't think this was vying to be a romantic suspense the slightest, so I don't care that I could see where this was going. Also major props to the author for warning the reader about a potentially triggering chapter and offering an alternate quick synopsis of the chapter for the reader to read in lieu of the actual chapter if they see fit.
The only thing I disliked about this was Jonah/Scorch's hangups and reluctance throughout this whole shindig. I get why he was like that, but I also hated it and could not stand him sometimes. Bomber/Seth is for sure his better half aha.
Overall: Ryan/Green, Quincy/Bullet, and Mackenzie/Books supremacy. I am obsessed with omegaverse. I can't wait to dive into Lola's books.
“This was better than they said. This was everything. Like finding home in another human heart. This woman was mine.”
Baby is an omega experiencing her heat for the first time in her early 20’s. Most omegas in their 20’s are already solidified in a pack, but Baby doesn’t have one; up until this point, she thought she was a beta. Through the omega center, Baby sniffs out a potential pack: the Howlers, a motorcycle club operating out of a strip mall. The aesthetics are less than ideal, but Baby knows what she wants, and she wants the Howlers. “Baby and the Late Night Howlers” focuses on Baby’s journey from discovering she’s an omega, to finding her pack, and falling in love with her alphas (and a beta!).
-I can always count on Kathryn Moon to lift me out of a reading slump, or to deliver a satisfying smut-filled why choose romance. This is the first book in the Sweet Omegaverse series, but it’s not the first book I’ve read. I started kind of backwards, reading Lola’s duet first, and then Faith’s book last year. I remember skimming through Baby’s book at some point, probably after Lola’s books, but this is the first time I’ve read it cover-to-cover.
-Like all Kathryn Moon books, Baby’s story is every bit as sweet as the term ‘Sweet Omegaverse’ suggests. The Howlers fall over their feet trying to make Baby happy, and Baby always appreciates their actions. A big part of why I loved this book was Baby’s personality. She is bubbly, confident, and really makes an effort to understand the motorcycle club culture.
-I love reading about omegas in heat, the smut is so over-the-top in the best way possible. Baby’s relationship with every single one of her alphas is unique to the person, and every interaction felt so special. I think my favorite alpha is Ryan (Green), I loved that he was the first one to give Baby a bond bite.
-There’s some action towards the end, but it doesn’t take up a large portion of the plot. The big focus of the story is Baby coming to terms with being an omega, and integrating herself with the pack. There isn’t a lot of drama within the story, it felt very low stakes, which was exactly what I needed to read!
-Overall, fun smut, not a ton of angst, and a definite mood booster; I’d totally recommend this book.
Like it, but this story didn't flow as well as others I've read (and loved) by this writer. It begins with h adjusting to a new life as she builds relationships with a group of guys. Towards the end the plot was was epic, and I loved how she shows her strength. But overall I didn't like the pacing with too many guys reluctant to mate with her. For me it was boring as the plot lost its 'bite'.
So many people love this book and over all it has good ratings, so I’m not sure if I just read a different book or what. I had some idea about what was going down in this book when I pick it up and from the very start I wanted to give it a try. This is not the type of book I normally read so I was going to give it my best and see how it went… I hated it. I don’t understand how a book could be so boring. I didn’t hate the main character but it was hard to take her seriously with some of the stuff she was doing. Also her name was Baby.- hated that The plot was kinda there, (after all the fucking) but you kinda know what’s going to happen. But it’s fine because it’s like two chapters of it then everything’s fine again. Another thing that bothered me was how all the guys had like two names. Which would have been fine but there’s like ten of them?!?! Like wtf, who is who?!?! I still have no idea 🤷🏻♀️. I was ok with a couple of the characters, but with yk only 400 pages you don’t really get to know them that well. Lastly, there was so much spicy to the point where I started skipping. It was TO much sex. I knew when I picked it up there was going to be some spicy but My God. When it’s like every chapter with different people and girls just like (wow my life is so great). It was to much. I was so over it, I wanted some sort of plot. The only plot in this book was “How many time can we fuck Baby…” The thing is I love me some spice, just not in this book. Overall- I didn’t like it. I might read the rest of the series because I know it’s about Lola or Lolo whichever her name is. But of course we know nothing about her other then she’s friends with Baby. (Even thought Baby is an awful friend and never checked up on Lolo-Lola to see if she was ok!!!)- I’m not going to get into it because it makes me mad. So ya that’s it, here’s the rant review. Hope this helps!- until the next book!
This went in my ‘not finished’ list. First off let’s start with names. I have a thing with names because a lot of importance goes into names and their significance. You are after all saying them over and over and they become tge character. The name of the heroine, Baby, could’ve either been really bad ass or super fecking corny. For her, since she was kind of bland, it came off super corny. The guy’s names were equally as terrible, for example Scorch *cringe* playing up the whole biker stereotype.
* Heavy sigh*
So many other things I didn’t enjoy. I’m not into the whole M/M action done smut can throw in, so the Scorch/Seth romance was already a tally against this. Then there’s such a thing as too many male contenders to keep up in a harem novel. This one included 12, which means the guys don’t have enough time dedicated to them to stand out and make an impression, and some just become background characters. Also, 12 dongs to boing? I mean, c’mon? And finally, the part where I stopped reading was when our dear little horny heroine - who is about to go into her heat, chooses her pack, but they already had “old ladies” they were bouncing on their meats - decided it would be evil to get rid of them. Instead she decides it’s ok to let them continue those relationships while still maintaining one with her? *heavy eye roll* REALLY? Maybe I haven’t read as much Omegaverse smut as I’d believed, and by no means am I an expert, but I thought the whole dynamic between said Omega/Alpha was the intensity of that relationship that borders on crazed, sexually charged af, possessiveness. So what gives?

Huh, didn't enjoy this one so much the second time around. Guess I'm into the darker stuff now. Yvonne grated on my nerves, so I'm glad Rebecca was the one that took over there. I didn't get why a nickname type name got nicknames. I liked Seth and Ryan, they knew what they wanted and actually listened to what Baby wanted. The rest were slow to come around with making them feel like commitment-phobe alphas. The miscommunication with Cole made me cringe. Baby was pigeonholed by the alphas as a damsel, ignoring her wants by playing the gentlemen. I liked that she stuck up for the girls and how quickly she cemented herself into the pack. Apart from the drama with the Hangmen, it was syrup sweet with Baby being babied.

This one was so sweet, Baby the really late blooming omega and the guys, adorable growly non-shifter alphas. Yvonne annoyed me a little and I felt sorry for Lo. A lot of sex and cuddles with some MC drama. I liked what the author did with the chapter 39 warning. Favourite character was Ryan/Green. Didn’t understand the guys’ opinions of him at the start and then Bullet. They were all great. This one was probably the best omegaverse story I’ve read, namely because it was uniquely sweet, instead of really dark.

-Her name. Got old fast. -The smut to story ratio—holy smokes. -The way the word perfume was used here (repeatedly) ...just yuck! -The scent obsession in general—why do they need to smell like her favorite foods? Vampires, I’d understand because blood is their sustenance, but mates? Why? I don’t get it. -The sheer number of men and them all being introduced at once made it easy to forget who everyone was and what they looked like. Kinda cheapened things. They all started blurring together. I couldn’t tell their “voices” apart either. -Are they shape shifters? Werewolves? Werecats? If not, what’s with all the purring? I still have no idea what they are. They are animalistic, clearly, and are in a “pack”, but they never shift or mention their animals forms so idk wtf is happening there. Kinda bizarre tbh.
What I did like: -the relationship between the alpha and Seth was super sweet. (High fives to my fellow bi’s.) I like that she supported it. -She allowed the betas and women to stay, which was super cool (yay for strong females not threatened by exes!) -The writing is good! Needs some editing, but the author has talent! -I liked all the main characters!
