This time the Thea Sisters travel to Malaysia and the rainforest. This tome has more information about the location than some in the series. It does mention the traditional cuisine of the area which is an area younglings can identify with - everybody eats. The main mystery comes is that the guide is revealed to be cahoots with the illegal timber trade; this topic could be expanded a bit more to have to include the impact upon the region. But all in all, just what you would expect from a Thea Sisters book.
I used to read this book series when I was 8-9 years old but the other week, I found this book at the library and got so excited. Favourite book series plus my country?? Amazing. The writing is amazing just as I remembered and I love how Malaysia was described. The culture was explained well without overreaching and I loved the inclusion of Malay characters. This book would be my favourite one by Thea Stilton so far because I’ve finally been to the places mentioned. Would recommend this as a gift for your fellow siblings/niece & nephew/children! This book series is what made me adopt reading as a hobby.
It was about a group of girls whose names are Pamela, Nicky, Paulina, Violet, and Collette, or the Thea Sisters. They get a call from their Malaysian friends, Latifah and Ramlee. The Thea Sisters go to Malaysia to help them out with their blog.
My favorite character was Paulina. She helped out a lot with figuring out the mysteries. I disliked the tour guide because I found it difficult to care about him.
I would recommend this to kids ages 5 1/2 - 8, and fans of Mystery. It is in a series, but you wouldn't have to have read other books in the series to read this one
This book really teaches you about the importance of nature and how we should perserve our in dangered species. It also teacher you to be kind to others, and just because some people may not be as skilled or experienced then you, does not mean you should put them down or ignore them. We should also help them.
Helps kids understand that there are bad people who you think you can trust-like the illegal poachers in the story. But I liked how you basically can read this book and get your own itinerary for a trip to Malaysia.
Its awsome so basically ramlee gets lost then his bf i put bf because they weren't BFF anyways when they found him he told that there guide was a person who cut down trees etc details in the book but still very fun oh and last page you will love it
really excellent grade chapter book. They're in Malaysia (where they speak Malay) and there are rainforests and the city and natural swimming pools and cool food. the power of friendship helps the gang defend the rainforest from timber smugglers.
