April Fernsby lives in the north of England in a county called Yorkshire. Yorkshire has its fair share of hauntings and supernatural events, including a witch called Mary Bateman, aka The Yorkshire Witch, whose skeleton now hangs in a local museum.

April loves all things supernatural and mysterious. Her favourite book as a child was ‘The Faraway Tree’ as it took the reader into a different world where unusual creatures lived. April looked for a similar tree near her house but never found it.

Her Brimstone Witch series involves the main character, Cassia Winter, going through a cellar door and into another world where magical creatures live, and mysteries abound.

Wonderful cozy psychic mystery

A Fatal Wedding by April Fernsby is another great paranormal mystery for the series. Our gal Karis gets visions here and there and her, the elderly next door neighbor, and the local cop Maris grew up with solve crimes when they happen. Her visions come before or after the crime but never when she tries! I enjoy this series. It is clean, great mystery, like the psychic powers part, the plot, and likeable characters.

Another funny and interesting read in the series. One wedding, one psychic, one murder. I like Karis and her sister, even Peggy - a pushy person but in a positive way. Look forward to No. 3.

Psychic Cafe Mysteries Series:
Psychic Cafe Mysteries Box Set 1 - This box set consists of the first four books in the Psychic Cafe Series. Where one book ends the next picks up the continuous storylines with each adding a new plot for that book. The characters were interesting; some could be considered annoying at times. Others were good in their supporting roles. 4*

A Deadly Delivery #1 - This is my first read by this author and I was surprised that it was good. The storylines were interesting and the characters were good. There was enough intrigue to keep the reader interested in this quickly read story. 4*

A Fatal Wedding #2 -This book picks up where the first book ends. Again, the storylines were interesting. The characters are growing into their roles. Erin got on my nerves with her lack of caring for herself with all those miscarriages since she's pregnant again. Peggy is a good support character with even more personality in this book; she's funny and a snoop, and a second mum. 4*

Tea and Murder #3 - The storylines are interesting and build toward the future. Karis and Seb are finally at ease with each other, but the past butts in again. Erin is still her silly self refusing to take better care of herself. Peggy rocks and is more of main character than Erin, which I like better since P is bright and lively and E is anxiety in motion. A good mystery with an unexpected twist. 4*

The Knitting Pattern Mystery #4 - Blast to the past, 1958. This is a well put together read. The storylines mesh well with a thread going back to 1958, as some of the others come to fruit. Good characters, although this time I found Peggy a pain here and there, bless her heart. Erin did well, not her usual careless self. The just friends are getting closer and everyone knows it, except them of course. 4*
Psychic Cafe Mysteries Box Set 1 end.

The Cross Stitch Puzzle #5 - Picks up a few weeks after Knitting ended. The storylines are full of second chances, theft and murder, and cakes. The characters are interesting, even the nasty one. Peggy, bless her heart, kicks up her fascination with investigating the thefts and murder to Seb's dismay and concern for both her and Karis. There is a good twist or two. I think book compares better than Knitting, which was still interesting. I contacted the author to review her books and received this book through Booksprout. 4*

kindle unlimited, new series, used to her Brimstone Witch Mystery-ies, read #1 ku but missed on freebie day, now this one #2, interesting premise, bit too much angst and focus on the sister's preganancy even after 3 other times it didn't take, but maybe just maybe will slack off at least a bit in the next book.

Karis Booth uses her divorce settlement to expand her sister's café. Erin's pregnant and Karis is trying to get her to take it easy since she's had three miscarriage's. Karis and Erin are hosting a craft evening at the café and they're making wedding favors for a young woman named Byrony as her previous favors were destroyed. Karis receives a couple visions with regards to Byrony and her wedding. Karis and police investigator, Seb, must protect Byrony and her guests from a disturbed individual.

A short but good story. The characters are fun although a bit over the top at times. Britsh spelling and word usage is used.

Weddings can be murder. Some people cannot do anything but cause trouble. Karis is one heck of a strong woman and Peggy is a great character. Between them they solve the mystery. Without giving away the story, it is a fantastic mystery book. There are so many things I can say, but they would be spoilers. This is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be the last. Looking forward to reading more. You will enjoy reading this book.

When the have a craft night at their cafe for a bride, she has a vision of the bride standing in a room in her wedding dress and a bloody knife. Karis with the help of her friend Peggy and Detective Seb she tries to figure out when it will happen and hopefully safe the bride.
This kept me guessing right up to the end. Didn't see that coming.

A super fun read!

Wow! What a surprise at the end! And that’s what I want in a good mystery: to be surprised! I love that Karis has psychic powers. There’s lots of personal stuff going on in this installment, and a new alarming vision. And Karis is determined to do something about it.

It was a novella, so just a few hours of reading, but it packed a punch! I loved it and thought it was a super fun read!

I read and enjoyed the first book in this cozy mystery series. A Fatal Wedding picks up right where the first book left off. Karis is worried about her pregnant sister Erin and uses money to expand her cafe. She has a psychic vision about an upcoming wedding and hopes that with the help of Peggy and Detective Seb she can prevent bad things from happening. This series has likable characters and I look forward to seeing what they get up to next.

Karis has visions and most aren't good.

When cafe owner has a vision about a wedding, she sets out to save the day. Murder was the theme of the vision and Karis and her friends go to work to prevent the murder from happening. Can a vision be prevented? Or is it going to happen anyway?

"A Fatal Wedding" is about as cosy as it gets. It's nicely written, has a small but interesting cast of characters, and psychic Karis Booth solves another murder mystery with the help of a vision or two.
That said it is very one-dimensional and lacks any element of tension, there's not a frisson to be found.
It's quite readable but nowhere close memorable.

A wonderful sequel

A brilliant sequel to a new series! I love how the story picks up not long after the first book and the characters continue to evolve while dealing with new adventures. Everyone needs a Peggy in their life!

We are joining Karis Booth in the 2nd book in this series. Karis is still having her visions and worries about her pregnant sister Erin Terris. Karis and Peggy Marshall are researching her visions. Will they lead to murder?
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It was good.....so intense though....I guess I just prefer cozy and to me this wasn't:-) Good book, well written but if I had to put up with that pushy old woman any more I would wring her neck! Actually wouldn't read anymore stories with her in it....
