My father was a journalist and wrote about some of the worst crimes you could ever imagine, and that's where my big interest from serial killers and other horrible crimes comes from. Just to hear my father talk about the evil acts of Ted Bundy as we were out fishing as a kid are some of my best memories.

Decent read but goes on forever 🙄 honestly I just got bored after a while as all of the information was old and not updated which I expected with a second book

It's a fairly decent encyclopedia, but I had issues with it.
I ended up skimming a ton of it. There were misspelled words, homophones, questionable word choice, and that was just the technical writing aspects.
The style they chose for writing about the victims left much to be desired. Namely, rape victims are victims of crimes. They didn't "have" things done to them. Someone else chose to do things to them. The writing for the murderers' backgrounds uses active voice. Where it's obvious that person a did x, y, and z. Then the writers abruptly change how they write when writing about the victims. Instead of saying person a did x to person b, it's now, person b had x done to her. No. I know this is how people like to talk and write about rape and murder victims, but I find it completely unacceptable.

A very comprehensive serial killer encyclopedia...
This is another great read that was really hard to put down. It's an insightful and graphically detailed account of some of the most horrific serial killers. In fact, while reading yet another of Jack Rosewoods books (with Rebecca Lo), I just had to keep turning the pages yet again. Not necessarily because it's all that enjoyable in any way, shape or form, to delve a little too deeply into the malefic minds of such murderous men, but because I sincerely believe that most people are fascinated in one way or another by serial killers. Perhaps it’s the human morbid fascination with death. I’m not exactly sure. However, maybe it just astounds the average person as to how depraved other individuals can be.
Even if you are a seasoned campaigner of true crime, The Big Book of Serial Killers Volume 2: Another 150 Serial Killer Files of the World's Worst Murderers (An Encyclopedia of Serial Killers) will surely raise more than a few hairs on the back of your neck. It was a first-class read and the author gave a perspective to these horrific crimes that was both fascinating and intriguing. This was one of the better true crime books that I have read recently.
I would highly recommend this read to all fans of the true-crime genre. I’m also a big fan of Jack Rosewood so it’s another 5 Stars from me. Well done again!

I am fan of true crime books. This one is amazing. An unbelievable 150 serial killers, some I had never even heard of and some well known. I love the way the book is organized and since I had not read the first book, I had to get that and am reading it as well. Fantastic book on a very gruesome topic.

While I gave the second book a chance after already not being very convinced of the first one, I am still kind of disappointed. Again, proof reading would have helped with eliminating a lot of repeated or missing words and some information was repeated multiple times, making the book longer than it needed to be. Also some information was not really true and I noticed that sometimes, the names were messed up. Also here again, often the timelines were not in order or reversed, while the layout was usually for them to be in chronological order. Some aliases were not listed on the correct spot, but were mentioned later on.
All in all, I am not convinced of the book(s) and the author and will refrain from reading any more of their books.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written true crime thriller book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great true crime thriller movie, PP presentation, or better yet a mini TV series or even a documentary (True Crime; American Crime Story). There are no references, works cited, or endnotes so I will only rate it at 4/5 stars.

If you’re a True Crime book aficionado like I am, just look at my Amazon badge for being a TOP CONTRIBUTOR for True Crime books, then this endeavor by True Crime book author Jack Rosewood is one book that must definitely be in your library.
If you thought that the writing team of Jack Rosewood and Rebecca Lo couldn’t bring to their readers another collection of 150 murderers and serial killers then you’ve been horribly mistaken, for that is what they’ve done here.
It is one thing to merely write something regarding these perverted, depraved individuals and the horrific, heinous deeds they’ve done. There’s a massive juxtaposition when the writing dwells into the historical upbringing these individuals had to endure as children, a childhood which unintentionally set the stage for rest of their murderous lives.
The authors of this book have made sure to give their readers not only the mere childhoods of these individuals, they’ve made sure to include the psychological ramifications of their childhoods on their actions as adults. But writing about their childhoods merely sets the stages for these actions, gruesome details about their insidious murders have not been avoided as doing so would lessen the severity of their dastardly deeds.
Like many of the crime shows we’ve watched on television, the manhunts for these individuals are also included, along with their trials and ultimate outcomes which finally brought some justice to the families of those that been the unfortunate victims at the hands of these murderous individuals.
For having given their readers another marvelous compendium of 150 murderers and serial killers that is hard to put down. As a devotee for this genre of True Crime books, I find it hard not to give Mr. Rosewood and Ms. Lo the 5 STARS they so richly deserve.

Very good, informative book about serial killers from around the world. This book had information on a lot of serial killers I had never heard about and contained short profiles (1-5) pages about them detailing their upbringing, crimes, trails, and fun facts. There were some small editing mistakes in the book (sometimes years/names would get mixed up) which made the reading a bit confusing at times. I do wish there were some further details provided, especially when it comes to the upbringing and trial portion of the book. I fell like those sections were breezed past in some of the profiles. Also, the upbring section just had general details of the murders which were covered in more detail in the next section, rendering the previous section useless. It almost seems like on some of the profiles, the authors ran out of time and couldn't complete the upbringing section. But overall, if you want a quick understanding of 150 serial killers, this book does a great job in giving you the basics and serves as a good jumping off point if you want to read more about a certain killer.

I was blown away!
I don’t like buying serial killer books as I am familiar with I thought 99% of all serial killers. This book is change my mind it was hours upon hours of deprave killers I’ve never heard of male and female. Leave it to Jack to always have a surprise in store. He is such a great daughter this book is no different. If you like true crime and serial killers, but hesitate to get new books as you have read all the famous serial killers don’t hesitate it has been so long since i’ve purchased the book, but I will definitely purchase this in paperback. I read it on Kindle unlimited just in case it was the same O same O, but it was not. This is a true encyclopedia of serial killers there’s something for everyone historical and modern if you like crime by this book!

A chilling anthology of some of the most prolific serial killers. The book focuses in people A-Z and gives a brief description of their background, their murders, and their arrest. It also tells the reader the whereouts of the murderers (i.e. what happened to them). Some are still living in prison, a handful were never caught.
While there were some typos and editorial errors, you can't gloss over the fact that this is a pretty big information database. I've never read something like this (and may never again due to nightmares) and I can say that it was easy to read and I was given all the info I wanted to know. There's no need to go deeper unless you want to be truly scared. (And I don't want to do that to myself, these people scared me plenty already!)
Recommended for anyone who finds themselves fascinated by heinous crime.

There were so many cases in here that I'd never even heard of; which was quite refreshing. He features murderers from all over the world. I wish the profiles were a little bit longer as he left me wanting to know more. Seemed to be very well researched.

So interesting!
A lot of the serial killers in this book I hadn't heard of which makes it more interesting and engrossing to read. I've really enjoyed any of the books I've read so far from this author and I don't think that will change!

I found this book after reading the first volume and again I wasn't disappointed. This volume seems to include a much more diverse selection of criminals from all over the globe so I took a lot more interest in it.

This book was really good it cut straight to the point there wasn't any author speaking the facts where really interesting a little graphic, hard to read the ones about kids. But overall this book was really good a quick read too

WOW! Author goes into alot of detail about serial rapists/murders with some interesting facts about the individual and case. This was a "browse book" where I read thru it, but I read every page. its a fast read...

Repeated review.
What can I say about this book that hasn’t already been said? Nothing original, obviously, because I’m not the only one who’s read it.
It’s a collection of serial killers. That in itself is intriguing. They suck ass, sure, but a lot of us are interested in learning more about them. I recognized a few but most of them, I was like “who?”, then “damn”.
