'Forbidden Vampire Mate' is the third book in Laura Greenwood's "Matchmater Paranormal Dating App" series and, as with the first two books, it is a thoroughly enjoyable, feel-good romance. This time we get to meet Euphemia, aka Effie, who is a faerie living with her parents on the other side of the veil but works at a human Senior Center. Her parents are very strict and want Effie to marry. Effie would like that as well but hasn't found her mate yet and intends to wait until she meets him. One of her patients, Mrs. Stein, who you'll absolutely fall in love with, installed the Matchmater App on Effie's phone. Mrs. Stein is a true matchmaker, whether you want one or not. LOL Shortly afterward, Effie is notified of a match. OH, he's an attorney. The only problem is the Paranormal Council forbids her to marry outside her race unless there are special circumstances and Wendall is a Vampire. Wendall is thrilled to finally, after all these years of trying to convince his stalker she wasn't it. The characters, including the side characters, are more than likable. This is just a feel-good romance with a bit of angst.

Effie is a faerie who's been matched with a vampire. Her society says she can't mage with anyone outside of her species, so will she go against them and find happiness with her vampire mate?

I really loved this book. Effie and Wendell are from opposite worlds and have a mountain of problems to overcome to be together. But he's so hell bent on being with her and I just loved that.

I thought the concept of matchmaking and the app she went through to find a match was fun and I enjoy Mr. Stein's matchmaking abilities. He truly seems to understand what is needed and who to pair up.

Last book in this series. I was expecting to see the other friend in this book, but she isn't. This book is about Effie a faerie and Wendell a vampire. Problem is Effie has to keep to the strict and not nice faerie council rules. And Wendell has problems with an stalking ex who thinks they are mates.

But the app brings them together with a little bit of help from Mrs Stein at Effie her work.

Nice read, but I would have liked some more details of what happens in the bedroom instead of going there and next is waking up in the morning.

I really enjoyed this feel good romance about a vampire and a faerie. It had a little bit of angst and a little bit of humor. I really liked the characters and the story was very easy to read and follow along with. This was a short story that I was able to finish in a day and it was very enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this. It's another fun addition to the series. I've been really enjoying the premise of the MatchMater App and the variety of paranormals - a vampire and a faerie in this one.
Hannah Somerville's narration was great, she was the perfect voice for Effie.

I can imagine that the first time people read a Laura Greenwood book, they might notice that the stories are mostly quite predictable and not too complicated. However, that's partly what I like about them. They're very comforting reads. They're perfect for bad days when I just want something quick. I was therefore quite happy that BookSprout notified me this book was available.

Although the concept of the three books in this series stays the same, I like how all three couples have their own challenges to face and their own difficulties to overcome. And in this book we got a glimpse at the Fae politics and how hard it can be to be with the person you love if you're not allowed to actively look for them.

I also loved that Greenwood used this book to show us that being mates doesn't mean that you will never fight, or never doubt the other, or never doubt the bond. Just like Greenwood shows us that knowing if there is a bond or not is not always that clear cut. Strong romantic emotions can be mistaken for a bond, even if they're clearly not it.

While this couple might have the worst challenges out of all three, I loved how devoted especially our vampire was to his destined mate from the very start. He was not afraid to take risks, to humble himself or to say sorry when he had to. And his will to fight for her, to really show her how badly he wants and needs her, is what helps them overcome everything standing between them.

I wish the series was longer, but luckily Greenwood writes loads of new mate stories. I'm looking forward to reading them!

I did not like this story. There was no tension.

If Cora was stalking Wendell for 20 years she would not have given up as easily as she did, that was just so unrealistic. Obsession does not switch off like that. She believed that Wendell was her mate, she should have been willing to kill for him, not just say "Hey bitch, get out the way" and be done with it.

Effie's big issue was her council. They offered no resistance at all. He came in, offered a gift and it was all open arms.

Absolutely no tension when I thought this one was going to have the most conflict.

It did raise 2 big questions.

1. How did she set up the account for Effie if she didn't have access to all of her IDs? They make a big thing about how secure the app is in all the books.

2. How do children work? If none of the matches are the same species how do they breed? Are the children hybrids? Are the boys the same as the father and girls the same as the mother? Do they alternate First child is a shifter 2nd is a siren third child is a shifter etc?

Euphemia aka Effie is a Faerie who lives on the other side of the veil, but works on the human side she was still living with her parents by her own choice. Her parents wanted her to marry but she has not found her mate and refuses just to marry to be with someone her parents were lucky enough to be mated. Effie worked at the Senior Home helping the aging by giving massages and added a little extra to the mix. Mrs.Stein one of the seniors has convinced Effie that she needs to find her soul mate on MatchMater and she puts the app on Effie's phone and she got a hit right away but there are problems ahead. Wendell is a vampire lawyer and he has wanted a soul mate for a while but he knows that the woman who has been stalking him for a century is definitely not his mate but she thinks differently until. Very entertaining. Romantic, some suspense, and laughs. I was given an Arc from Booksprout. I am providing an honest review.

Effie is a Faerie who works on the human side of the Veil and lives with her parents. At work, a client convinces Effie that she needs to find someone special and puts the MatchMater app on Effie's phone. The app quickly alerted her to a match, but the Faerie Council has a rule about Faeries only marrying another Faerie except for special circumstances.

Unfortunately, her match Wendell is a vampire lawyer who has wanted a soul mate for a long time. Another woman who stalked him for 20 years is not his mate, but he recognizes that Effie is! Being forbidden from mating with anyone who isn't a Faerie, will Effie break the rules for Wendell? Or is there an exception somewhere that will let them be together?

This was a really good story and a delight to read. The characters are very likable and kind. The pacing was perfect and drew the reader into the story. Grab your copy and see if the app made a good match for them!

The MatchMate series is so cool! I've read them all and each couple is very special. This series is fun and romantic. This story is Wendell, a vampire lawyer, and Effie, a faerie's chance at a Happily Ever After. I love the little old lady who is way more than human, Mrs. Stein, and her penchant for matchmaking (whether you want help or not). Wendell has been looking for his mate for a very long time and Effie wants to be happy. She works at the senior home and during one of Ms Stein's treatments she sneaks Effie's phone and installs the MateMatch app secretly. Faeries are not very social with other paranormals and Effie's parents are very strict. This is not gonna be easy, but it is worth the wait for them both. Wendell is just the sweetest guy and Effie is just perfect or him. He is putting himself out there to gain her father's approval and respect. Such a great story! I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Effie is working at work when when of her clients come in. Her client and her are having a great conversation. Her client decides to download this Matchmaker app. Effie is working when she gets a notice of a match. She is drawn to the man in the picture, but he is not of her race. It is the law of her council.
Wendall is completely drawn to the woman he sees when he goes on the Matchmaker app. He knows he wants to talk to her and see her. He tells his friend about it. When runs into this woman, he knows that that she is mate. He will do whatever he can to make sure he doesn't lose her. His only problem is a woman that thinks she is his mate.

This was cute, fun and quick read. It will take you away for a little bit. You will enjoy the read

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great drama with wonderful world building.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.

Effie is a masseuse at a nursing home and she is a faery. One of her clients, who is also a paranormal, talks Effie into looking for a mate on MatchMater. The client even makes a profile for Effie. Effie isn't sure how this will work with all the rules that the Faery council has in place for the Faery realm, but once she sees Wendell's picture all of her concerns get pushed to the side.
Wendell's friend found his true mate on MatchMater, so Wendell decides to give it a try, although if you were to ask Cora she would say that he already has a mate. Wendell knows that Cora is not his true mate and once he sees Effie's picture he knows for sure. Wendell and Effie may be true mates, but will the road to their forever ever be smooth? Read this cute, short romance to learn for yourself.

A paranormal mating app!! So very, very cool!! Effie has found her mate on the dating app installed onto her phone by one of her senior citizen clients...but there is a big, big problem!! Effie is a faerie and the app has matched her with Wendell, a vampire lawyer!! That must mean that the app is wrong since Effie is not allowed to mate with anyone other than another faerie! Are Effie and Wen really mates? Is there some way to circumvent the long-held tradition and belief of her people? Do Effie and Wen get their HEA with each other or do they have to walk away?? A great series of quick, delicious paranormal romance as only Laura Greenwood manages to write!!

This is a short story in the Paranormal Council world, you do not have to have an idea of the world and can be read as a standalone. Another thing about this book is that there is no smut, it is a fade to black like more modern teen dramas have become.

This is just a fun story about 2 people finding someone via an app, one being a Fearie and the other a vampire.

Her world and ideas on vampires and fearies are interesting and I liked it. Effie works at the same place as Jim from the previous book and Wendell is BFF with Jim. He did have a brief scene in the last book that made one think, 'he will have his own story'.

Once again, Achilles' grandmother steels the show and plays more of a role in this story.

A vampire and a faery? I loved this couple. Wendell didn’t even seem like a vampire. He was sweet, caring, and wasn’t even mean to the woman who had been stalking him for twenty years. Wendell and Effie meet on MatchMaker and are immediately drawn to each other. But the Faery have different rules about mating. They believe they must mate with another faery. Inter species mating are only approved if the faery don’t go looking for their mate and find a mate of another supernatural. This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Forbidden Vampire Mate by Laura Greenwood is the third book in the MatchMater Dating App series of stand alone reads. These books are part of The Paranormal Council Universe. I have not read the previous two books (yet), but really enjoyed this super-fast read. Wendell and Effie are both wanting "more" from their lives when both are counselled to try the MatchMater app. I found this read to be sweet, sexy, funny and just the right way to start my day. A fun read that has a wonderfully feel-good effect.

Once again Laura Greenwood gives us a delightful romance in Forbidden Vampire Mate. My favorite “Fairy Godmother” who is not a fairy, Mrs. Stein is once again in the thick of romance for Effie and Wendell. Thank goodness or this would never happen.

Greenwood provides plenty of roadblocks in the form of traditions, self-doubt, and stalker exes. There is also romance, laughter, and hope. I do not want to give too much away as this is a novella. Forbidden goes down a lot easier than blood

I cannot wait to see what match comes up next on the “MatchMater Paranormal App”.

Forbidden Vampire Mate by Laura Greenwood is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Hannah Somerville.

This is the third book in the Matchmater Paranormal Dating App series and each book can be read as a standalone.

I just love Laura’s books! They always leave me begging for more. I really enjoyed the relationship between Effie and Wendell. I can’t wait to dive into more of Laura’s books!

Hannah did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her projects in the future.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romances.

This book rates high on my cute-o-meter. It is a very sweet, quick read with very likable characters. Wendell is a supremely laid back, sweet vampire and Effie is adorable. They both have things they need to handle before their happy ending can happen, but I really liked how they got there and how they were with each other. It is a very fast read, and since the mate aspect comes in, things move rather quickly, however, they do make sense with the characters. I enjoyed the book and the whole series.

Wendell, a vampire, and Effie, a fairy were matched on MatchMater, an app for paranormals to find their fated mate. Wendell is delirious, but fairies usually do not mate outside their own and a vampire is extremely unwelcome. Finding their way through the problems of being fated, when society does not agree is the topic of this story. Despite the dire theme, it is entertaining and fairly light. An easy, enjoyable read.

A short cute story. I just found that end part with Cora was a little to quick. We have Windell who is a lawyer and vampire. His friend Jim who is a doctor and incubus set him up with Matchmaker. Cora is a faerie and works at a nursing home as a masseuse. Mrs. Stein one of her patients sets her up on Matchermater. What will happen when they meet? Their two different paranormals. Of course we have our villain Cora, just wait.

I never could imagine Effie and Wendell together, especially with Cora in the middle of all that. :D
How funny is see Mrs. Stein in the scene. I'll try read the bonus scene to discover more of this mysterious character. I'm pretty sure, she isn't only the Achilles's Grandmom. hahaha

This is the third book of this series and in this one, we have a vampire named Wendell. He has a stalker, that have been hounding him for 20 years, and Effie a fairy that is not allowed to look for a mate out of her own species, lets add to the mix a matchmaking old dragon and we have our story. As the other ones this is more sweet than spicy, we don't have an overly description of the sex scenes, still we have a great story with a cute couple, no cheating and of curse a HEA.

Effie wants to find her mate, but doing that while obeying the Faerie Council is harder than it sounds.

Wendell is a lawyer trying to convince his friendly stalker to go in search of her true mate, he knows her fixation on him isn't love, but can he find the real deal?

This done in one quick read ties in to Jim's story, has entertaining scenes with "senior citizen" Mrs. Stein (if she has her own story I need to find/read it!), and some fun spins on both honesty and the truth.

‘Nothing is more forbidden than a bite...’
Not all stalkers are male and I appreciate that the author brought this up. It’s important for both genders to be respectful of others (mates or not) and to heed boundaries. Healthy relationships, of all kinds, are good for all parties involved. I hate to remember how I felt when chasing someone who wasn’t interested – and I don’t even want to know how I looked to others. Hopefully, this fictional stalker will get the help she needs in order to be healthy enough for her true mate.

I have to admit I am biased. I absolutely love Laura Greenwood's stories. I haven't read everything by her, but everything I have read, I absolutely love. She has a way with story telling that draws you in and makes you feel like you are in the story. This is no different. This is a light, fast read with wonderful characters that are complex, yet sweet. If you like sweet PNR, this is your book!
