Lonely Dragons Club #2

The Snow Dragon's Mate

Rate this book
Best Christmas gift Finding out dragons exist and one of them is your fated mate.

Kymar
Weary from centuries spent searching for my mate, I hid away in a mountain cabin until an offer from a friend leads me to the most exquisite omega I have ever seen. From the moment our eyes meet, all I want is to make him mine. A well-timed storm leaves him stranded in my lair, but when the snow melts, he insists on returning to his human life. I’m convinced we’re fated for one another. Can I make this stubborn young man believe it too?

Holden
I rode on a dragon’s back. A real, live dragon. In his human form, Kymar is so gorgeous I can hardly breathe around him. I’m drawn to him by a force too strong to ignore, but, magical creature or not, I can’t get involved with him. Happiness never lasts. I’ve learned that lesson again and again. After I walk away, my longing to return grows worse every day until I start to wonder if I can find to courage to believe what my heart and my dragon say is true—Kymar and I are meant to be together.

Lonely Dragons Club series is an MM dragon shifter mpreg series about finding your one true love. The Snow Dragon's Mate is Book 2 and the next book is The City Dragon's Mate.

Normally anything and everything can go with a short christmas read...... but, I think I had my fill...... I really liked the 1st book and couldn't wait for the next one...... I am so sorry but this book did not work for me you just can't use the snow as an excuse not to be able to fly "its to dangerous" and 2 min later "oh goody lets go play in the snow" nope, nope, nope

The Snow Dragon’s Mate is the second book in Silvia Violet’s Lonely Dragons Club series. The books works as a standalone, although we met both MC’s in book one and we also have a few scenes with them as well. However, by and large this is the romance of Kymar and Holden.

I like the premise, which is a group of dragons who are about 1000 years old all long for their mates, living rather solitary lives except when they get together on occasion. With the coming Christmas season gives at least a couple of dragons hope for their HEA. This is a totally enjoyable read for anyone that likes shifters and m-preg but not looking for anything too heavy. This is just purely a romance without no angst.

Like with the first book, this is a relatively quick holiday read and you read in the blurb is essentially what you get, so I’m not going to get into too many details.

I totally loved the first book in this series and quickly had to read this one as well. Honestly, I can’t wait for book three either. If you are intrigued by a Christmas story with an alpha shifter and his omega human mate and throw in some M-preg then you should probably give this one a go. The only word of advice I will give is to those that don’t like insta-love (i.e. the whole fated mate thing in shifter romances) or pushy alpha getting their omega partner into bed. Although, I will admit that Holden is refreshing in that he does push back against the mate bond.

Kymar and Holden meet by chance. Kymar has been asked by his friend Laszlo to pick up a pesky, clingy omega (not Holden) and Holden is checking up on his best friend after Roman had gone off with an alpha he didn’t know (totally against his usual behaviour). Holden is definitely intrigued and instantly attracted to Kymar when he learns about dragon shape shifters by chance in a baptism of fire. Kymar is equally intrigued by Holden, but being a dragon he is sure that there is more between them than simple attraction. Holden isn’t adverse to one night stands and so he is happy to go and spend the night with Kymar. The only problem that Kymar really has is that he has to convince that this isn’t a one time thing and that they have something very important between them.

The Snow Dragon’s Mate is the second book in Silvia Violet’s Lonely Dragon’s Club series. This story follows closely with the first book, The Christmas Dragon’s Mate, as the plots cross over. In the first book, we see Kymar and Holden meet, and that scene, as well as a few others, are repeated again here from Holden and Kymar’s POVs. I think this one stands alone in terms of the relationship, but some of the world building is better detailed in the first book. However, you should be able to pick up this story as a standalone if you wish.

Like the first book in the series, this story features a confident, slightly arrogant, and a bit high handed dragon. I think Violet does a nice job here giving Kymar balance so he doesn’t come across as too much. While we see his confidence, we also see some of his vulnerability, as well as his more playful moments. The men have a day playing in the snow and Kymar has a child-like delight that goes a long way to balance out his more heavy handed sided. There are some moments here that focus on Kymar claiming Holden and convincing him they must be together that are just at the edge of too much for me, but I generally found them sweet together and super sexy.

I fell in love with both Kymar and Holden in the first book so I was eager to read their story. I wasn’t disappointed. Like the first one, this is mpreg but it’s not as big of a part of the story as in Laszlo’s and Roman’s. Kymar doesn’t seem to be as possessive and bossy as Laszlo was. He is still as vain. 🙂 And while Roman was a little on the innocent side, Holden is anything but. He’s not ashamed of all the guys he’s had sex with. He likes sex so he has sex. That’s just who he is.

This is a really good shifter story. It had me laughing more than once and grinning from ear to ear when it was over.

Sweet and easy

As with most fated mates, attraction and love follow swiftly after they meet. Though Holden resists he quickly succumbs. It was a quick read.

This was an okay read for me. I liked the couple together but I just didn’t feel as invested in them as I did with the first books MCS. However I still enjoyed the universe and I am very much looking forward to book three!

The characters and story didn't feel that different from book 1. Because of that it was a bit dull. But I still like dragons, Christmas, and mpreg and this book had all of that. Hopefully book 3 will have more distinguished characters and maybe some different plot. I look forward to checking it out.

The amount of steam in this short story is incredible. Sometimes it pulled focus from the romantic build, but these kinds of stories generally follow the same romantic formula by starting with the lust and ending with the love. It's not a bad or ineffective approach, it's just a bit predictable.

Holden is a sassy omega who has a heap of hurt to heal if he's really going to chase after his HEA. Kymar is a dissatisfied playboy (play-dragon?) who wants a mate but isn't sure how to go about finding one of his own. Together they are an incredibly sweet pairing with crazy amounts of chemistry.

I liked the simple evolution of the story and especially Kymar's guileless love of the snow and commitment to his mate. Both of those traits sold me on him as an individual. While Holden's emotional reaction to getting stuck in the snow is a little much for me, I do extremely appreciate his forthright honesty instead of a typical response of defensiveness. I can't say I was captivated by the characters, but I did quite like them on a surface level. I think they had massive potential on their own and together but were hampered by the length of the story.

The other dragons are quite interesting and I'd be interested to see more from the Lonely Dragons Club because the ones I met here are sweet, toppy, and so very eager to find the partner of their souls. On its own, this story does stand, though I will probably say that for enjoyment of the club on the whole, reading the other books in the series sure wouldn't go amiss.

The Snow Dragon’s Mate is the second book in the ‘Lonely Dragons Club’ series. It stars Kymar, a dragon shifter, and Holden, a human omega. This is told in first person from Kymar and Holden’s povs.

I wanted to read this book once I finished reading the first book in the series. This starts from Kymar’s pov slightly before the end of the Book One, where Kymar ends up flying to his dragon friend, Lazlo’s, home. Lazlo has found his mate with Roman, who is Holden’s best friend. Holden is at Lazlo’s home when Kymar arrives and it’s lust at first sight. From that point on, Kymar is sure Holden is his mate, but Holden doesn’t believe in that sort of thing, plus he has some past relationship issues that he’s dealing with. The plot is about Kymar and Holden getting to know each other, and Kymar trying to convince Holden they are mates. This book has a simple, fluffy, holiday plot.

Kymar and Holden were fun characters. Holden was very enthusiastic to be spending time with a dragon, and Kymar is determined to make Holden’s time with him so memorable he’ll never want to leave…until he does. But there’s more to the story after that which I don’t want to spoil.

The Snow Dragon’s Mate is a fast, fun, forced proximity holiday story, with enjoyable characters. I give this book, 3 Stars.

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:
A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year),
it's like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok)
It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the
whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Lonely Dragons Club series. In this book, Holden was visiting his best friend Roman, who we met in the first book, and was shocked to see a dragon land in the yard. Kymar was a dragon and friends with Roman's mate Laszlo and arrived to get an omega Laszlo used to employ. When Kymar saw Holden, he wanted him and wanted him to return to his home in the mountains. Holden was attracted to Kymar and decided to go back with him, but he didn't want to stay forever. When Kymar started talking about Holden being his mate, Holden told him no and he wanted to leave. Holden didn't want a relationship and usually only an alpha once, but there was a connection to Kymar he wanted to ignore. I really enjoyed this story. I liked Kymar, i was so surprised about his love of snow and how he was like a little kid wanting to play. I think Holden was scared of losing someone he loved and decided not to get close to anyone. Good one and i look forward to the next book.

The Snow Dragon’s Mate by author Silvia Violet is the second book in the Lonely Dragon’s Club series. I started with this book and was not lost at all.
Kymar is a dragon. He is weary from centuries of looking for his mate. He hides away in his mountain cabin. He loves the snow, just not the isolation. Dragons are irresistible to humans, but he wants his mate, not just any human out there. When his best friend tells him, he has found a human Omega for him he jumps or rather flies at the chance to meet him.
Holden is very much up for the adventure of sex with a dragon. He feels the pull to Kymar he cannot explain. He is not fazed by Kymar being a dragon. If anything, he finds him even more fascinating. I love his spirit and bravery.
Overall this is a great story, a love a first sight type of story. I happen to love this type of story. I am the one cheering for the true love and wanting it to win the day. This is a cute, funny, and loveable holiday story I am so glad I read.

An enjoyable, delightfully sweet Mpreg dragon shifter romance, it is the second book in the series “Lonely Dragon’s Club” & can be read as a standalone. I found the plot to be well-paced & entertaining. The characters are well-developed with good chemistry between them; I particularly enjoyed the way Holden tried to resist Kymar only to discover that fate & love will not be denied.
There is: a lonely male alpha dragon (Kymar) almost gives up the search for his omega mate when he discovers a human male omega (Holden) but there is one slight problem Holden does not believe in a happy ever after, Kymar’s friend (Laszlo) & his mate (Roman), some twists, drama, loneliness, longings, friendship, discovery, attractions, mates, doubts, memories, heartache, playfulness, trust issues, friendly advice, obsession, determination, compromises, heat issues, verbal banter, surprises, contentment, love, steamy scenes & a marvelous conclusion.

Dragon shiftere Kymar has been searching for his fated mate for centuries hiding out in his mountain cabin until one of his friends leads him to an exsquisite omega who is his fated mate. A well timed storm delays his departure but when it is over he insists he can return to his normal life. Holden now knows that dragons are real and had ridden on one's back. Kymar is gorgeous and he is drawn to him but happiness never lasts and he needs to protect himself. But the longer he is away the more he feels a pull to return - can he believe that they are meant to be forever?

I enjoyed this story where due to the involvement of a human it wasn't as instalove as it could be. Holden's joy at discovering that dragons were real and riding one was quote easy to imagine from the story and I have to say I envied him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with a mature content.

The Snow Dragons Mate
Kymer has been searching hundreds of years for someone to make him happy and return the love he's got for them. His friend Laszlo has an Omega he needs taking off his hands. When he arrives he sees who he thinks is the omega but it's Laszlo's mate Roman best friend Holden. The pull he has for him makes him want to take Holden home.
Holden cant keep his eyes off Kymer, in a beautiful dragon form and human. He agrees to go back to Kymers home. After spending time getting to know each other Kymer talks about him being his mate Holden panics and wants to leave. Can Kymer prove to Holden they are mates?
I loved the sledging so much fun!
Another great book in the series, look forward to Bartholomew!

Twas a bit disappointing we saw these MCs meeting in book 1 as I felt like it detracted from their meeting in this book.
The conflict in this book felt a bit far-fetched and I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first one but I'm reading the third book now :)

Quote
"...I'm very careful with all my treasures."
"I-I'm not a treasure." I wasn't sure if I was protesting being property or being considered worthy of that designation. Maybe both.
"You're wrong. You're my treasure. And I want to add you to my hoard. Will you let me collect you?"

I read this book in one evening as a fun smutty shorter book.

The sexy parts were great and I absolutely enjoyed them. They were good steamy and hot and were very pleasant. The written feelings and thoughts are one of the things I really enjoy during sex scenes and this book did that quite nice.

I did however not as much enjoy the plot. I know sexy novellas typically don't have much plot and that is fine. What I felt however is that it still tried to push in quite a lot of plot and things happening. So that it was a bit too fast paced and lacked the depth I personally enjoy in non sexy moments. If the book would be a bit longer with that more fleshed out I would have liked that more.

All together a good quick steamy read.

Love offered, love accepted.
Kymar is the blue dragon who's been searching for his mate since forever but has been looking
for all the wrong reasons. He needs a mate to make him happy in his life, to fulfill his hopes
of finding a mate to stay with him through his long life. And Kymar believes that in Hudson, a human,
he has finally found his future happiness. For Hudson, here's an omega with a history of being bedded
by any random alpha to discovering an alpha dragon he can love, both the human and the dragon. A
Christmas miracle created for both of these deserving males. This is my voluntary and honest review
for the ARC I received.

an enjoyable alpga shifter / human omega love story

what's not to like about this book. there is a hoy alpga dragon shifter, a hot human omega who has been so hurt in the past he is nit open to believing in fated mates, stuck in a cabin in the mountain during a snow storm , a passionate few days happens.

the book is not long, not much if any angst, easy to read. makes a perfect companion to those books that spend so much time inside the main characters heads it's like wading through treacle. bith types of books are good. I loved this one, lookimg forward to funding out about other members of the lonely dragon club.

I listened to the audiobook.

I really wanted this book to work for me, but unfortunately it did not. After feeling lukewarm about the first installment, I gave The Snow Dragon’s Mate a fair chance, hoping it would strengthen my investment in the series. Instead, I struggled to connect with both the characters and the romance.

What makes this worse is that I know myself. When book three comes out in a few months, there is a very real chance I will pick it up because my brain will have conveniently forgotten how underwhelming this one felt. Apparently, I am loyal to dragon series even when they do not deserve it. For now, though, this installment left me cold.

I'm glad I got this free and didn't actually pay any money for it. It was bad. Seriously BAD. The only reason I actually read the whole thing is because it was thankfully short. I don't know if things were explained in book one and then just assumed you had read it before reading this book 2, but basic biology was tossed right out the window. If there hadn't been the female housekeeper I'd have guessed this was an alternate universe that there was no females. Also the big dramatic problem was on par with what you'd expect from a 13 year old girl's diary. As was the dialogue.

This was a delightful, fluffy joy to read, with what seems to be a pretty standard omegaverse plot, though I loved the communication and understanding between the characters. Even as Holden struggled with his own insecurity, he was still communicating well with Kymar and both characters treated each other well--with the kindness and respect that I find so sexy. The paranormal bit was fun (I love dragons!) if not terribly fleshed out. This is a nice quick read for anyone wanting to escape into a paranormal world full of hot rich dragons and the men they love.

Another great add to the series. Kymar and Holden are finally here! We got a hint of these two in book 1 and I was dying to know what happened between them! I loved how these two met and how their chemistry was intense. With one a dragon looking for a mate and one a human who doesn't believe in love like that they do have their struggles. Sexy, sweet and fun moments mix in the best way and I can't wait to read more. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.
