Stan and Jan Berenstain (often called The Berenstains) were American writers and illustrators best known for creating the children's book series the Berenstain Bears. Their son Mike Berenstain joined them as a creative team in the late 1980s.
My first Berenstain Bears book and it was adorable. The bears follow along with Papa Bear to a repair job that quickly leads to a fun mystery they try and help the lady of the house figure out where her favorite pieces of furniture have disappeared to.
This was a cute story where the Berenstain Bears go over to a mansion to find some missing antiques.
(I'm participating in a readathon today and always like to start off with some really light reading that I can breeze through to start me off, so a few more children's books coming up in the next hour, then my updates will slow down after that. Plus, this is my last night of having Kindle Unlimited before it gets canceled, so I thought I'd go through a few books on there to really get my money's worth.)
The Berenstain Bears and the Mansion Mystery [Kindle Unlimited] — Stan Berenstain July 12, 2019
For Berenstain Bears stories have been around for many years, in this story the family goes visiting a relatives house when Papa Bear is called to come. The arrival turns into solving a mystery.
I had some technical issues on my tablet with this one…it didn’t always want to zoom up the text to be able to read it. Other than that, Berenstain Bears fans will like this story a lot.
A fun, family-friendly children’s book that combines the beloved Bear family with a light mystery adventure. Young readers enjoy following the familiar Bear family as they solve clues, work together, and use problem-solving skills in a gentle, age-appropriate way that’s different from many of the series’ everyday lessons.
We read this on the kindle fire via Prime reading. My 3 and 6 year old were both engaged and I enjoyed it too. The 6 year old was trying to figure out the mystery as we read and papa bear was silly as usual. Great Prime perk.
This is the 4th Berenstain Bears book that I have read. This one is a little different from some of the other books. In stead of being a book where there is a moral conflict and then someone learns a lesson, this book is a mystery. The Squire's wife's things go missing and brother bear, sister bear, cousin Freddy, and papa bear try to find them. I didn't really like this one as much as some of the others, but the mystery was kind of interesting.
