Misunderstandings and not talking... yeah.
This is a super short book under 40 pages so 30ish mins..
Where chelsey falls head over heels with her man Jason a baseball player and him her.. and they are getting married... BUT she sees something and instead of telling her fiance she leaves... glad Jason didnt let her go to far he tracked her down and told her he wasn't the one who she saw... until he shows proof..
Thing that annoyed me.. SHE knew that her husband to be was a twin.. she should have asked her fiance before taking off.. :/ yes thats the misunderstanding she saw the twin brother kiss her bff.... thinking it was Jason who has been 1000000% devoted to her..
No ow/om, no cheating, slight secondary chara, sexy time, virgin gal & no manwhore

This was a good quick read from Hope Ford but it wasn't really my style. I tend to only like insta-love when it's paired with a possessive alpha male. While Jason was definitely in love, he wasn't the possessive book boyfriend of my dreams. Also, most of the book is in the blurb, so I almost felt like I didn't have to read the thing. It was probably more like a 3.5 star book for me but Ms. Ford always gets the benefit of the doubt with the round up.

This was a quick and sweet story. It starts off with a huge misunderstanding that results in the bride fleeing her wedding leaving the groom scratching his head wondering what went wrong. I’m usually not a fan of miscommunication but for some reason I enjoyed it in this story.

Completely safe. h thinks she sees her fiancé kissing another woman before their ceremony. It ends up being his twin brother who was not supposed to be at the wedding. H’s past was not mentioned and h is a virgin. No abuse.

SO Many Feels!
A Pro Baseball player & curvy girl romance?? YES please. A muscled tattooed hunk?? Again, YES please!
This book was exactly what I expect from Hope Ford - Insta-love, crazy chemistry and a HEA.
But it's the new twists Hope keeps using that have me hooked. A bit of a misunderstanding has a runaway bride in this story. But not to worry the Hero, Jason, gets the girl.
My emotions ran high in a few spots as it yanked my heart strings. A strong man on his knees in tears at the thought of losing his future, yup that does me in.

If I say yes is book one in the Blake brothers series. This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline a quick read. Chelsey and Jason meet at a baseball game. Jason is a baseball player that wants Chelsey as soon as he sees her. After a whirlwind relationship, Chelsey’s heart gets broken by a misunderstanding. Will Jason get his woman back?
I did see some chemistry between Jason and Chelsey but I would have liked a little more. That being said, the love they had for one another was clear to see.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an easy read.

This novella was meh with a side of eww.
Chelsey and Jason meet randomly in the middle of a baseball game.
Jason is a pitcher, Chelsey, just some random in the crowd.
After a 2 second meet, chelseys best friend is abandoning her, and Jason is insisting on taking her home after an appearance at a team party.
No survival skills at all this girl or her friend.
Flash forward 3 months, and it's their wedding day, and chelsea is running.
RED FLAG 1 - So Jason decides to propose to chelsey the next day after their first date when he finds out she is a virgin 😳🤨🤢
RED FLAG 2 - she holds him off for 2 months, but once she accepts, he "only gives" her a month to plan it.
chelsey mistakenly sees Jason's twin brother kissing someone on her wedding day, so she runs away.
once Jason figures out where she is, he follows her.
MASSIVE RED FLAG 3 - he sweet talks the reception to give him a room key , once he is in the room he finds chelsey sleeping (naked) rather than waking her up and trying to talk he strips naked and gets into bed with her. we get to read how he inappropriately is hard and allows her to cuddle up to him in her sleep, and then when she wakes and freaks out, he just sits there hard and stares at her.
sorry, but im out bye-bye creepy Jason.
RED FLAG 4 - chelsey jokes about kissing a random guy in front of him to see how he feels and if he can just forget it, and he grabs her and stares her down.
she even says "your hurting me, jason," and he responds "sorry I just feel im losing you. i can't lose you."
this is basically how physical abuse starts.
but after finding out it was his twin with her best friend, all is forgiven, they have sex and get married.
what a pushover chelsey was, and a gross man Jason is.

If I Say Yes was a cute little short story. It follows the typical romance format of man meets woman, man loses woman and gets her back in the end. As an avid romance reader, I’m starting to expect more. Indie authors can break the normal guidelines and do something different in the romance genre.
Characters are big. Although this is a short story, the expectations for character development are still the same. Jason and Chelsey were not visible. The only description given was Chelsey is curvy and Jason is a fit athlete. Also, there wasn’t real tension between the main characters.
The story was written in the awkward present tense. It drives me nuts when authors write in the present tense. Fellow readers, how do you feel about reading novels written in present tense?
Some romance readers want clean stories. If I Say Yes contains a beautifully written sex scene. It was very classy, not offensive at all. Hope Ford does very well in this area.
Overall, I liked the story. For a short story, the pacing was perfect. I must admit the cover sealed the purchase. I would be willing to purchase another Hope Ford short story.

I don’t get it
Why do so many women feel compelled to write romances about ‘curvy girls’, and their ‘thick thighs’, and such? Why not just come on out and say they’re ‘fat’? Do they really think their way is more polite? It’s not. It’s rude, it’s unnecessary, it’s offensive. It’s virtually everything BUT polite. That little tirade aside, the romance part was fine. Not great, but fine. The fat chick references just took a lot away from what could have been so much better.

This was great quick insta-love read.
I loved the entire story from the moment Jason and Chelsey met to the epilogue. Of course, there is major misunderstanding that could have been resolved with a quick confrontation, but that would have been too easy. I loved that Jason didn’t give up and was a very quick thinker.
Very sweet and very steamy ;) I love the family and friend relationships and how they helped each other.
I look forward to reading about the other Blake Brothers ;)

When Jason finally found her, he was taken aback with the hurt and tears displayed in her eyes while acusing him of betrayal. He was determined to find out what was going on and get his woman back. Very shirt but cute story. Recommended

I love how it's always a HEA with no cheating! There's hope for the best of us to get our HEA. I love the way Hope writes with us curvy women in mind. I love how Jason treats her like a queen and has southern gentleman charms. You don't see that hardly anymore. Thank you for such another great book!

Less than an hour to read. Super sweet, super short romance. Cute quick read, insta-love/ married in a few months, 1 short quick steamy scene. Based on reviews, all books by this author are basically the same (sweet & short insta-love). Not enough to keep me hooked but I might seek author out sometime when I need a fast, low-commitment/ low-emotional involvement (on my part) type quick read.

Boring!
Possible spoilers!!
Short stories are excellent when done right. This however, was not done right. It was very rushed with no real story. No chemistry between the characters and my god, you run away from your wedding because you see your supposed groom kissing another girl. How can you not remember that he has a twin??
