Short and sweet... Emotional read.

The ways Bran and Robin connected was instant... a tad too instant (that close after just a few hours of actually meeting) but I'll let it go as we're talking fiction here (ha! Take that picky feline [me]!) and because I like how it progressed. They were really cute and all with their attempts to can their non-platonic feelings when everyone was seeing right through them.

I loved the cameos of friends from other MOTS titles (Mia's, Missy's, and June's were my favourites) . The hospital visit scene was a head trip through joy, sadness, and hope (the one with Carolyn just broke my non-existent heart, it was hard, what Robin had to do given that it was her first visit).

Not really a solid 5 because of the itty bitty thing about instant connection (still working on letting it go) but that's just a nick off the 5th star.

I berate others who watch too much TV - especially Soap Operas - then realise Music of the Soul is just one long fantastic soap opera! Love it!

Excellent!

I loved Girl Next Door. I love this whole series. People caring about and caring for each other. So moving. I’ve read this series so many times I know it by heart. Not sure how I missed reviewing it.

Oh .

I am nearly finished all the books from the series. Once again I laughed and cried with all these amazing women and men. The love and friendship that is the theme of all these books are amazing. They sensuality and the passion jump out at you but like all love making it still has privacy it allows the reader to use there imagination instead of being given so much detail that some book allow the sex to take over the story and it can spoil the book these books do not do that . You are a really great author and I cannot wait to read the rest of your books. Your Character have become friends I will miss them or perhaps I will just read them all again and catch up with them all don't miss these great books.

"With her head in my lap as she listened to her books. I was just happy to listen and run my fingers through her damp hair...this is how it should be."

Girl next door was such a heart-warming read. The readers get to, not just see but to also feel, how Victor and Penny's failed relationship affected one of their twin daughters, Bran. This is my first story where one of the MCs is visually impaired. I was excited to see how Erik is going to pull a story like this off, and he did, with flying colors. Just like his other works but with a little bit more force this time , Girl Next Door pulled me right in from the first chapter until the beautiful ending. I swear the last paragraph/line killed me. While reading GND I was consumed totally. And after reading it, I find myself thinking about Robin and Bran even I am now starting a different story. I cannot express how much I love those two and with the cameo of our other heroes, it was perfect. The emotions portayed in Girl Next Door was somehow different from the ones presented in the other stories, I was an emotional mess and it was beautiful. Bran/Robin's relationship is just so sweet, it took its time. I love that. They didn't hurry up, this is new since most of the stories in the series were resolved in a few months, but no, GND took three years. It made me happy. It made everything more real since it'd sucked if Bran just give herself up, after being so uncertain about relationships, to Robin in just a month. Bran and Robin's friendship/relationship was blossomed for three years before they decided to fuck things up, oops, so they can find their way back to each other.

While I was in the middle of the story, my music on shuffle played Katharine Mcphee's Terrified, It's perfect. I smiled so hard it made my cheeks hurt. *sighs*

Girl Next Door taught not only Bran, but also me about the different things we didn't know, like the Audio-described movies. And the art of touching the art to feel it (sorry). I googled "musems for blind" and look at the first result:

description

There is one, in Manila, just less than a 30-minute walk from where I was having my internship last year, I am so blind and ignorant on how the world runs. I make a plan to visit it someday. I hope to be more aware and learn more.

Overall, this book is an emotional and beautiful journey, I couldn't reccomend this more.

Another beautiful tale

Another beautiful story of two souls that were meant to be. Here we have the tale of Brandeye, one of Penny and Sandra's twin daughters struggling with her views on relationships and there negative impact for her in her life as she is afraid to fall in love, and of Robin the woman next door who steals her heart. It was a wonderful story of love and friendship developed by the main characters, as well as a nice acquaintance of family and friends from previous books, a great addition to the series. Loved it

A sweet addition to the Music of the Soul series. It was nice to read about some of the offspring all grown up and making choices of their own. It was also nice to see cameo appearances from past leading ladies from the series. Congratulations Erik on another winner!

I like the blind artist character in this story. How she produces art, painting no less is something that is very intriguing. The relationship is great, always great to see earlier characters later in life, meaning see how they turned out. Really like the Art display tech they some up with.

Amazing descriptions

Knowing someone that is blind and knowing what they go through this book was incredible to read. The descriptions were simply spectacular and will really get you thinking about what we take for granted everyday.

Kudos for Girl Next Door

Really enjoyed the book. The theory of smart canvas was fascinating, and inspiring. It showed such true love. I found it frustrating when they just couldn't profess their love.

Ugh.... sooo many feels!!! This book had me misty-eyed several time. The children's ward scene alone had me blinking away the tears. Another great story and I can't wait for it to come out on Audible at some point.

Second time reading the book but first time on Audible. I read this last year and is just came out on Audible. It is a sweet story that checks in with a lot of the characters from the earlier books. It is fun seeing the characters evolve and grow up as each story comes along. The girls communicate well for the most part but with one admission, just coming out with their fears. It causes a bit of strife but the issue is resolved quickly with out too much angst. That is one I like about these books. The characters do agonize for chapters on end. One swift kick from a platypus usually sets everyone back on track.
I hope the last three in the series come out on audible soon. I cant wait to complete the collection.

I kept thinking that their relationship went so fast
and when they confessed their love, it took too long.
But it's a good book.

Good

Good but not great. It's still good enough for me to read other books by this author though. I'll try reading the other books from this series.
