I may have found my mom, or rather she found me, but I still have questions only she can answer. Now, getting her to cooperate has presented new challenges. She’s still ruled by fear.
Hellbent on keeping my Infinity safe, we take a few chances. Chances, that might just backfire, but there’s noway I’m letting anyone control my future any longer. Determining what Leon is truly capable of is the only way to get rid of him. Forever.
Strength isn’t an issue, the bond with my Infinity is stronger than ever.
Albany lives in Michigan where she's happily married to her high school sweetheart. She spends most of her time juggling her four children's extracurricular activities, with her nose stuck in a book. When not reading you can find her writing her very own book boyfriends. Albany's passion is writing romance with real characters that are far from perfect, but always seem to find their own happily ever afters.
I got the box set of this series, I'm always a sucker for box sets. The first book was bland, the second book was bland, the third book was bland, the fourth book was...well you know the answer already. Why did I read it though, because I was bored. I usually have the opposite reaction when I'm reading a book I don't like but I was bored and too lazy to find another book.
This series started out amazing! The feisty heroine in the dark about this hidden magical world, the four guys who have waited for her their whole lives and the mystery of her origins. Book one and two kept me coming back and anticipating the revealing of the plot and the increase in the romance steam! Then...book 3 hits and all of a sudden, these magical people are spending all their time settling in to the 'burbs, eating like pregnant housewives and nary a hint of angst. Book 4 is the 'conclusion ' with much the same! No increase or exploration of the magic, no clear reveal of why her mom kept her on the run, and a literal single chapter dedicated to defeating the bad guy. Then on to more eating and decorating! The epilogue was more a foot note with no peek in to their future. Seriously disappointed.
I wish this wasn’t the end! This series was so sweet and intriguing from start to finish 👌, and there’s so much more potential to be explored in this universe. It did remind me of a few other book series I’ve read - all series I loved, so I didn’t mind it being a bit familiar.
Overcoming numerous obstacles, Laura is finally reunited with her mother. However, this reunion brings a mix of relief and tension and is not without its challenges, as her mother is still consumed by fear and reluctant to answer the many questions that have plagued her daughter's life. This final installment is about taking control of one's destiny and the power of trust and unity within the Infinity.
I’m more so reviewing the whole series, so any mild spoilers are from the first couple of books and I won't even really do that. The series started out pretty great. I loved her reluctance and the drama, even when the misunderstandings were a bit much. Ares was definitely my favorite. I really liked Dante until he sorta became submissive to her. Not my thing. I felt like Ollie and Milo got glossed over, relationship-wise, but I also wasn't that interested in them. I liked the premise, also, with the infinities.
However, there was a lot that I didn't like, that kept me from completely loving the series:
-the lack of editing. Come on, people. Even this review is automatically proofread. How does so much make it into a final draft for a lot of these authors? I mean in book 3, she even referred to Dante's lion. Um, m'kay. If your word-processor can't handle it, get someone who can tell you the truth to read it. The occasional typo or mistake is forgivable. 4 books chock full of them is ridiculously easy to avoid. Respect your product enough to do the work.
-Delaney and Mia. I'm not a fan of a guy having inappropriate interactions with other women after meeting the main character. For any reason. I was not happy with the Delaney situation. It was unnecessary and I didn't enjoy it. I'm glad the other guys stood up for Laura, but it continued to bother me. And Dante did okay with her from then on, but still. Not a fan. Mia was a whole other animal. Why the fuck would you have an ex-girlfriend living with you when you've found your mate?!? And that's IF she is behaving and respectful, which Mia never is. To allow her to still be in his professional life at all, let alone his home, after the way she continued to treat Laura was unacceptable. Ares not returning her feelings was not enough. Especially after he flirted with her on the phone in front of Laura to get her to do something for him that she likely would already have done. And she hung out with the family?! WHY?? I was not okay with this AT ALL. And no one ever came down on Mia for it. She was let down, yes, but when she kept being a bitch to Laura? Nothing. It almost ruined Ares for me and he was, again, by far my favorite.
-Plot fizzle. There was so much that could've come from this premise. Even Laura once wondered why they have these powers if not for a purpose. A Meta moment for sure, but it never gets addressed. We never see them use their powers for anything. Okay, fine, Dante's hearing is used. Whatever. There was never even a showdown with the Council or really even with Leon. And what about Maggie's visions? They were never followed up on. I just would've preferred more action and power displays or danger over endless descriptions of house contruction details and dinner plans. The pages were just filled with the wrong stuff in the last couple of books. I love details, but not at the expense of actual plot progress.
-Finally, I'm so sick to death of the "she's not like other girls" trope. Like somehow women that like shopping, looking good and seeing romantic comedies are less-than. I keep seeing it in romance novels, which confounds me. I mean, don't you think there are a lot of romance readers that like rom-coms and girly stuff? Why is that something to be ashamed of or eye-rolled over? I like action movies, too, but I also like to shop and like nice clothes. Why must there always be someone forcing the main character into a makeover? Or just a dress? Cue the bratty tantrum over someone offering to pamper you. It's obnoxious and I'm tired of it. I don't mind if the main character doesn't know how to pamper herself and is grateful for the assist. I hate when it's all, "Heels are stripper shoes! Can't I just wear jeans? No eyeliner! I'm not that kind of girl!!" Shut. The Fuck. Up. It's much more fun to read a girl get excited and enjoy dressing up for an event and seeing her men dressed up.
Okay, rant over. I really did mostly like the series, LOL. But, I read blurbs/reviews for the author's other books and had to mark them "won't read".
Pages: 291 My rating (stars): 1 Read other books from this author in the future: don’t know
I bought the last book of the Infinity Chronicles, because I did not mention in my review of the third book that I wanted to dnf the series. So I read it. And all the way to the end I just skipped a lot of the smut scenes, because at some point this gets boring and tried to find the story. Most Authors do not have the climax of the book at around 60 % and I do see the point now, why they don’t because the last 30 % become really boring if you do not have a twist in the story. So no I did not like the book, still looking for the story…
I kind of hope that the author eventually tosses out a fifth book, even without a new nemesis.
Honestly, nothing much happened in the first or second book and I still kept reading. There is just something interesting about the characters and their interactions and I enjoy reading about them without a huge plot-line in the background.
I'd honestly be very happy to just read a whole book of nothing but the MC and her infinity members just talking, hanging out, remodeling their new house, and dealing with high school drama.
I give this book 5 stars, but will admit that the way the BIG BAD was ultimately dealt with was a bit anticlimactic. But I honestly didn't care enough to remove any stars.
I find the writing style to be very annoying. The author uses too many words that make simple phrases almost painful to me after the 20th time it's been used. The most frequent are "heavy footsteps alert me that someone is approaching," "smothers a grin that was lifting his lips" and "his eyes falling closed." These phrases are part of typical bad writing, but for some reason, these really annoy me.
I also feel like the character are unrealistic. This girl is living with four guys and she literally says, "Those days have been filled with stolen kisses and soft caresses from most of the guys, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every moment, but it's time to deal with my parents." Every single second of their lives is romantic and sexually charged. I understand that this is a romance but this is too much. It's not seductive when she steals her bf's toast. Sorry, it's not, but now they are both turned on.
I'm just going to skip over the 5 pages that cover the defeat of Leon, because that's what the books does.
Speaking of unrealistic, these parents actually don't care what their children do. The only purpose of the parents in this book is to subtly remind us that Laura and her guys are still in high school, even though I think they only go to a single day of school.
I don't like talking about only bad things in books. As annoying as the characters were and with such bad writing, I was emotionally invested. I wanted everything to go right for them.
2.5-3 stars for book 4 here. I like so many other readers thought this series started out super strong with some killer chemistry between the characters. That being said this last book in the series left a lot to be desired for me. I feel like we have gone through so much buildup for this showdown only to be left rode hard and put up wet here at the end.. I just needed more action, more ass kicking, more magical mastery. If I'm really honest though the FMC and a couple of her guys have some great chemistry, I really feel like the infinity was a little forced with the other guys, they just didn't mesh as well.. almost like aww ok lets go ahead and get this over with real quick like so we can have this infinity.. yawn. That statement isn't a dis toward the characters themselves as personality wise I really enjoyed them but their relationship with the FMC I just wasn't feeling which led up to a really lackluster end to the series after multiple books of buildup to complete the infinity.
I kind of ended up feeling like this was a tv series that got canceled and at least had the decency to pull everything together here at the very end but even so I felt like some of the scenes were a little on the useless side and didn't add anything really to the ending or even any of the characters and their growth nor to the story itself. All in all I did enjoy most of the series but it was a little lackluster for me especially knowing some of what this author is really capable of.
She gets her parents back so I guess that’s cool? The mother sucked. There weren’t really any good reasons for her behavior though pretty much every conversation is the author trying to talk through it and justify it. The father doesn’t really seem to care that much? Like when he first finds out he’s confused and kind of alarmed and says what and then that’s pretty much the entirety of it. I wasn’t a fan of Ollie and milo, they seem like they are in love and just kind of got stuck with the female lead because fate? I also didn’t like that one of them was the most concerned about creating a connection in the first book and then he ends up being the last and totally reluctant about it and more into someone else. I felt like each book went down slightly. Needs a good editor team.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Similar to the previous books, this book too is full of writing errors and insignificant fillers. Rather than an officially published book series, it feels like a compilation of fan-fiction.
There is contradicting information in each book. For instance, in book three Rosa revealed that Laura looks exactly like her mother. But in this book, Amanda and Leon claim that Laura looks exactly like her father.
There are serious issues with the story curve as well. Firstly, it took 3/4 books to even build up to the climax, only to have it finish in less than a chapter. Secondly, 'climax' is followed by several more junk chapters. What's more, the 'epilogue' is merely the next chapter, with no revelation into the future.
In addition to this, almost all characters except Ares (especially MC) are really infuriating most of the time.
I started this series after read her other two books (which really enjoyed). However i struggled with this series always hoping it would get better and it didnt. The climax of the story line felt absolutely rushed, seriously the sex scences lasted longer then the resolution of the big bad, and it wasnt even executed well. I just feel like there was no character depth in the guys they bearly use there powers. Why is the artistic guy never painting or drawing during the house reno? I just really disappointed. Too much focus on sex, i mean i like some smut but if i wanted all sex no story id go to porn hub.
I was really disappointed in this book. I felt like she just wrapped up the plot with in a chapter and then made everything rainbows. And I had a problem with flashback errors. I binged the series, so the factual errors from the other books really took me out of the enjoyment and upset me.
I want to start by stating first, it was good. It wasn't fantastic or horrid, it was good. Good premise, good, solid characters. Just a few awkward bits in the writing here and there, the worst is in the first half of the first book so if you can get through that you'll be fine here. My nearly constant concern through this book, just screaming through my head in several parts honestly, was "is there no god-damned contraception in this universe?" Are they ONLY allowed to rely on condoms and condoms alone if they don't want babies right now? They KNOW there is going to be sex in this relationship, why the hell have they NOT made an appointment to get something more reliable, effective, and needing to be thought about and worried about less? WTF? Any person I have ever known who has been in a situation where sex is a when instead of an if has worked out the contraceptive problem as soon as they could, unless there was something standing in the way somehow. She is 17, planned parenthood is a thing. Except in this universe, apparently. There are also a few places where the story feels awkward. Thankfully no where that matters, really. The Leon story line is really just a tacked on conflict that has to be handled in order for the story to happen. MC gets a few really uncomfortable moments that really don't fit her character or this world. Not saying they are unjustified, just that they are awkward in a way that could have been handled better I think. But I enjoyed it, and as I said in the beginning, if you got through the first book fine you'll enjoy this one.
I really liked the first books in the series and couldn't wait for this installment. But after reading it I feel let down. Three books worth of build up with Leon for that? Very anticlimactic. The Infinity storyline just became a fluff piece with more sex scenes than were necessary.
I finished this series just to see if it could get any better, but that was not the case. I know more about the characters interior design styles then anything of substance. The climax of the story/ dealing with the bad guy was over in in moments. The rest is dealing with emotional trauma and lots of mature activities.
Ehh. Not a ton to say about this one to be honest. The first 60% of the book is where all the plot and action is. The back nearly half of this book was pointless fluff. I don't think I've read a stranger story structure.
Some thoughts I had while reading:
1. Well. Finally. We actually sort of get a book with some action and intrigue and mystery and danger. Why couldn't ALL of these books have this sort of character building/world building intrigue?
2. There's a ton more sexing in this one than ever before. Listen. I didn't want there to be nothing in the other books but smut, but it feels really strange to have an RH story where ALL of the intimacy happens in the last quarter of the whole series. She hops from one dick to another in this book, when it might have made more sense to start on things much earlier on so that there's room in book 4 for the actual story.
3. The conversation Laura has with Ares about sex and love is really fucking weird. It's weird how strung out she gets, how mad and defensive she is over the fact that Ares had partners before meeting her. It's a naive child's view that you can't have sex with someone you don't love. And I don't really know what the message is here--but I feel like there was definitely a message from the author in this conversation.
It's also a weird time to have this conversation, well after they've done the do for the first time. That was a whole book ago. Also, why doesn't she pitch fits over the other boys having girlfriends prior to meeting her? The only one who out-and-out says he's a virgin is Milo. So what about Ollie and Dante? She doesn't ever read them the riot act.
Laura just ends up making Ares feel like a garbage person for not saving himself for her, when he had to wait 6 whole years (which was a fucking anomaly) for her, and when he'd given up hope of ever finding his Synergist in that time. It's made worse by the fact that she's aware that her thoughts and feelings are hurtful and antiquated and stupid, but she can't stop them from flying out of her mouth anyway. And it's not just that she's feeling these things (feelings are valid) it's the WAY she accuses Ares of what almost sounds like disloyalty or infidelity--when he was a teenager, a young man, hopeless and alone for years and years--when he was just doing what every other normal healthy dude does in the 21st century. He didn't even KNOW her--or that she even existed.
That whole scene just left a foul taste in my mouth. And I don't know what the point of it was, even. Because nothing came of it other than making Ares feel like crap for a while.
Which is ironic AF because Laura still only tells Ares she loves him. Doesn't offer so much as a sniff in the others' direction emotionally speaking.
4. It's weird, right? That Leon is dead at 60% of the way through the book? He hardly even poses a threat to anybody. Doesn't do anything to Laura save for a minor kidnapping incident. We don't learn his motives, his backstory. We don't know what his deal was or why he was so 'wrong' in the head. There's allusions to the idea that there might have been something fundamentally wrong with him, but it's never explored.
In that same vein, what was the purpose of Dante and Ares going to Idaho to talk to Leon's family? Literally nothing came of any of that. This has got to be the weakest, laziest storytelling I've ever encountered.
You mean to tell me the big ol bad guy gets fried by a teenaged girl who's barely figured out who and what she is, let alone that she has powers and who has hardly begun to train to use them? Okay.
5. The rest of the book is just... fucking and family time. Why? Why does this exist?
6. With the big bad guy dead at the 60% mark, you'd think there'd be PLENTY of time for Laura to repair her relationship with her mom and start getting to know her dad, yeah?
WRONG.
She spends the vast majority of the time ignoring her parents, and the two whole times she DOES visit them it ends in awkwardness and a desperate desire in her to flee. In fact, we don't start seeing ANY progress being made until the very end of the EPILOGUE when she invites them over for Christmas dinner. 😒It's literally the last sentence of the whole ass series.
I could understand if the bad guy died 85% of the way through and the last 15% was just wrapping things up. But no. Walker had nigh on HALF THE BOOK to figure this shit out and doesn't.
-
I was gonna give this book 3 stars for the action and plot in the beginning alone--but the longer I sat on it (I finished it about 12 hours ago) the less I feel like it deserves it. So 2 stars it is. Right on par with the rest of this dumb nothing series.
I just finished this series and waited to give my final review. I’m giving the whole series 3.5 stars. It was a mix of Seraph Black by Jane Washington and Evelyn Maynard by Kaydence Snow. I enjoyed it right in the middle of both of those.
I will start out by saying that this is a character driven series. It really focuses on Laura and her four guys establishing their relationships. There is a minor plot of a “bad guy” that’s extremely brief and doesn’t take much of book 4 to fix. If you’re looking for something really action based, this is not the series for you.
With that being said, I loved the characters in this series. I enjoyed the way they were developed, and the relationships they established. I will say, it definitely felt like the author had clear favorites in the harem. Ares gets the most attention and seems to develop the relationship the deepest, with Dante right behind him. Oliver and Milo felt like afterthoughts most of the time, but they were great characters.
This action coming from the end of book 3 gets wrapped up quickly and easily. Honestly, it was over so quick and lacked a Big Bang.
Oliver and Milo get a little more time in this book, if I recall, this is the book she finally bonds with Milo. Like I said, they felt like afterthoughts most of the time. I also felt like their MM relationship in this one was unnecessary, and just made their feelings for Laura less than what it should’ve been compared to Ares and even Dante. It just didn’t make sense in the narrative for them to be in love. If it would’ve been just physical it would’ve made more sense in what this all encompassing soul bond was.
As far as world building goes, even after finishing the series, I have no idea what the point of their powers are. No idea why they have infinities. There really wasn’t any reason given.
There is slight OW drama in this series, but honestly nothing major. I liked how some of it was handled. Delaney doesn’t really get her ass handed to her like she should’ve, but oh well. Mia is never brought up again in this one it seems. I wanted to see her get fired lol. I enjoyed her drama, i just wish it would’ve been wrapped up. I also assumed she had something to do with Maggie’s vision from book 2 (?) about the “one who knows,” that Ares wasn’t ready to hear about yet. That literally never got brought up again, and it just didn’t seem to fit with Leon. Idk.
The end of this was very lackluster. There is now HEA, it’s very much HFN, and it said “The End, For Now” but it’s been a year since it came out? I don’t see plans for anything else. As much as the series lacked action, I did enjoy the characters and would still love to see more of them.
Book: Infinity Chronicles Book Four Read By: Ebook Author: Albany Walker Genre:Reverse Harem, Romance, Fantasy Recommend: Yes < b>Age recommendation: 18-30+ Years My feelings:
The events in the first and second book may have been slow-paced, but I was still deeply engrossed from beginning to end. The characters and their relationships were so captivating that I couldn't help but be invested in their journey, even without a central plot driving the narrative forward. In fact, I would gladly devour an entire book solely focused on the main character and her Infinity team as they talk, hang out, remodel their new home, and navigate through high school drama. “I think I’m going to take a bath.” “In that tiny tub?” Milo’s brow is furrowed. “It’s a normal-size tub, Milo, you’re just jumbo size,”
However, I couldn't help but feel slightly underwhelmed by how the main antagonist was ultimately defeated. Despite the fantastic writing, there were some issues with the overall story development, particularly when it came to Leon's character. Nevertheless, countless questions still linger in my mind: What happened to Delaney? Mia? The mysterious sister at the diner? The unsettling figure known as "Creepy Charlie"? And what about Maggie's cryptic warning about someone to beware of? Who are the Infinity members and what is their purpose? What role does the council play and why is Ares viewed as a villain? And most pressing of all, what will become of Laura's remaining time in high school now that she has publicly revealed her relationship with her guys? Ares clicks his tongue. “Foolish boy,” he mutters. I look over my shoulder. Ares’s eyes are fully black as he stares down at my body. “He sent you out here like this to me, when he could have kept you to himself?” Ares bites his lip, his eyes finding mine. “Damn it!” I hear Ollie curse from the hallway.
It's my sincerest hope that another book is in the works to unravel these mysteries and provide closure for curious readers like myself. “Wake up the Dark Lord,” I call up after him. “The Dark Lord has already risen,” Ares drawls from the hallway.

At the end of the series which was so bad I almost don't even want to review it.
But I'm going to. Because I feel like I need to get this out of my system. It's been lingering for the last week and a half and I am so done. If I could wash it off I would. Instead, I'm going to share a freaking ranty ass review. Also, know going in that I am leaving spoilers. If you could really call it that because not a hell of a lot happens here
REVIEW First off, most of the conversations sound like two pieces of cardboard sliding together. Because it has just that much depth.
Here is a series that is basically one book, stretched into four with 90% filler.
You know that feeling you get where you are somewhere you don't want to be and keep checking at the time? Again and again?
Well guess what, you're going to have that feeling. And not only are you going to have that feeling you're also going to read a full description of her having that exact experience. :/
The whole series is absolutely confusing by dropping all sorts of hints but never answering anything. Then nullifying your senses with the most tedious and boring details.
Know what's more tedious than having to move, pack everything up, go to a new place and clean it and choose furnishings and DIY stuff and paint? Listening to an author describe it in graphic detail .. for two chapters. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the story.
This level of extraneous vapidity has nothing to do with the plot and yet was in all four of the books.
Then why did you keep reading it, you ask?!
Well I think because like most reading this series, there is a pull because the potential of the plot and the development of the characters is so intriguing. So you overlook the boredom and the incredibly slow movement forward, thinking it's got to get better. But it doesn't.
Then you go to the next book and it doesn't again, then you get to the fourth book.. and
You finally start to get some answers . WAIT. Can I call it answers? not really - more like more confusion because things aren't answered they're just kind of sidestepped.
You get that feeling that all those little bits of carrot that have been dangling in front of you for three books are finally turning into something. But what did they turn into?
Along the way we have joined the literal play-by-play of this young woman in unusual circumstances. Classic YA naive MC who eventually embraces who she is and her sexual awakening. The slowest of all slow burns.
However suddenly out of nowhere, after only two sexual encounters she is suddenly a pro. Getting into all the scenarios and the positions and uttering words way out of proportion to the experience or her character.
I mean I love a good seggsy book (that's how I was recommended to the series for the MMF trope) but I want my characters actually have substance and relationship to the plot and you know.. context!
Otherwise it's basically bad 70s p***
In the last installments, you finally (as in three books later finally ) get an idea about the hidden villain that was dropped in the last couple paragraphs of the third book. And this is why I think so many people have read all the books. Because the concept and the potential of the plot to be something amazing is right there.
So you're like I know if I just keep reading it'll go there it will go there.
Spoiler alert. It doesn't go there.
At the end of the series I am left with so many unanswered questions.
Almost every one of them preceded by why was this even in the book if it's got absolutely nothing to do with the plot?
Why did she include an oracle who had a prediction of "beware the one who knows all", and then it was never answered or resolved?
So the whole time you're thinking it's Mia the ex-lover and assistant, motive, interest... but then she just completely disappeared from the book without any explanation.
What were the mom's powers and how were they relevant?
How did the big bad villain get killed so easily and then absolutely no discussion about what he was doing with the whole experimenting on her father thing?
The father who was found in a skeletal form, who frantically whispered to her "RUN!" when she mentioned her mother was coming. Why? Was this going to be another offshoot into a plot that was finally interesting? One where maybe mom was supposed to be the villain - maybe it's Leon in disguise with his ability to mimic (but don't bother telling us the details of what that power means, how it works or if he was using it....)? Was the mother supposed to be part of the whole subplot to get lauras power??
Who was the female high school villains older sister? What was the whole point of that exchange in the diner? We already know they're comfortable with people seeing they're in an mmmf relationship because they're all about we don't want anybody to know about us but yet we're going to PDA everywhere we go. Are we in a furniture store right now? No problem let's get all over each other and then get surprised that the person that's working there is wondering what you're doing.
I had at least 10 to 12 plot twists and theories l happening in my head thinking of the ways that this would twist and turn.
Instead there was none of that. There was just really bad sex scenes having really boring daily life descriptions.
At the end of the book when Ares says he doesn't want to wear a condom, is that supposed to be an allusion to something to come?
Goodness forbid this series continues because holy moly it was so bad.
So bad that it made me create a new shelf called "books I love to hate on". And hopefully this series is the only one that ever gets relegated to it.
I have about 800 more questions, but the biggest of all would be: Why did nobody edit this into one single book?
Chapters and chapters and chapters of extraneous and incredibly boring detail.
Were these self-published because they sure needed to be edited!
Take a note from some other authors such as Katee Robert who condense her three book vampire series into one book and made it fantastic.
This series, like the plot has that kind of potential. It could be great if you took out the dead weight. Because nobody - not even a DIY TV host - wants to hear the details of somebody else's reno 💤
/Rant Hope that was in some way entertaining for you if not at least to ward you off wasting your time on this series.
NARRATION is a 3. I didn't find that the voices were separated enough as different characters and quite frankly the slow read was so bad I had to play this at 1.5 speed. And then 2.5 speed through all of the endless, boring and completely not contributing to the plot or book at all descriptions of their home rentals and DIY.

The story isn’t bad, but totally needs more editing. With the typos but also with the continuity. There are just some parts that fell to the wayside, like their identifiers being an egregious zone or like Delaney and the school being an issue, or even Mia. So many loose ends. The reason for her mom running were flimsy at best, and not really truly resolved. I loved the guys and the relationship however. I think that part was well done. Ares and Dante are my favorites for sure. Ollie and Milo aren’t bad either but Ares is just so attentive.
Still we barely see her abilities and then she’s what just able to get the villain without so much of a thought, effort or showdown. Once he’s out of the picture, the book continues on for a bunch more chapters leading me to believe that he’d either return, not be dead or someone else was going to give them a problem. This was not the case and was just them living life again like they like to do. Nothing major those last chapters were a struggle for me to get through. The last sex scenes while showing their intimacy is helpful by this point I was bored. I kept wondering what the point was.
That epilogue wasn’t even an epilogue it didn’t show us them in the future just her opening the door for her parents but we don’t even get the relationships with that.
The series isn’t bad, it’s not terrible it just needs to be polished more. The story fine tuned. Give it a bit more direction. There’s a lot of unnecessary to the plot scenes that I kept wondering what the points of them were.
To the relationships I love the series. To the overall plot of an Inifnity and what that means the plot is less than desirable.
Ok, so this is the only book in the series I dnf. @40% I just was bored and so tired of this entire read. So much just made me angry. Our H I couldn't stand! There are so many valid reasons to be mad in this book, but our H sticks to her guns mad about stupid stuff. The way Mia was just non-stop in this book was mind boggling? Our H really let that women str8 up stay around. And Ares would have been perfect if not for how much he could not let that women go. I was seriously disgusted. Somehow Mia and danely never get resolved in this story. They just kinda fade out? Like our H's job, or school. Nothing is really discussed in this read. Nothing about these ppl and their powers, the world building? Its just a lot of b.s written to somehow get ur attention? But honestly, its just blah! I was pretty much over everyone and everything by this point. And the story just seems to bleed out of life for me.
So everything got resolved as far has Leon goes, but can we say anticlimax. There was such a big build up with this book, it was disappointing when the big show down only lasted a second. This definitely could have been a trilogy, there was a lot in this whole series that felt like filler. I liked the main characters and I think I finished this series to see what happened to them.
The 4th book in Albany Waller's Infinity series. I love how the 5 of them come together working throught the growing pains of becoming not only a complete Infinity but an actual family. Laura is able to reconnect with her parents and remove the damger to her mom and herself. The End "for now" gives me hope we'll see more of Laura, Dante, Oliie, Milo and Aries again.
I read all 4 books in hopes that it would get better. It didn't! The characters are interesting but this could have been done in one book and still had a good story!
Like the third book, this one also had some problems for me. Much of the plot and characters felt unfinished, like they had great potential to do interesting things, but were just left. Makes the series feel more like a back-story. For instance, Ares is a great concept for a character. I love everything about him. It's hinted that he's very powerful, famous, influential, yet we never get to see what he can really do. We never get to see outsiders interact with him, or how the world really views him. Wyatt comes back but it's just a hi-bye thing before the series ends. The villain is defeated quite easily, which I don't mind in theory but I did feel let down with what little we got to find out about him. Mia's story line was just dropped.
There should have been a better reconciliation with Ares after their painful conversation about his sexual history. It was written as though the next time he was nice to her made everything better, without addressing all her insecurities. Then the next major intimacy they share is off the page, which felt unfair to me as a reader because I've been privy to every advance in their relationship so far, and this was treated as no big deal, despite the fact that it was the second time they had sex since her very first time.
Overall, I really enjoyed this series and found the books to be really addicting. Couldn't put them down. This is the 4th Reverse Harem series I've read, and I really enjoy the concept but I'm finding there are common tropes within it that I actually don't care for, like group sex, M/M themes, domination and submission. I'm more interested in seeing how intimate relationships form between different personalities, making them unique. Often times, it seems like once one relationship is taken to a new level, it becomes unimportant when the other relationships reach that same point, and I wish that wasn't the case.
I like this series but became disappointed. I hope you write another one because I kept waiting for Laura’s powers to manifest and for her to badass. I also want to know what animal she shifts into. There has to be more to the story because there is just to much missing and unanswered.
This series had so much potential and each book was more boring than the last. This whole series could have been put into one book. It was frustrating to anticipate ANY kind of action and have the characters go to the diner again. It got old fast.
