Rate this book
Known as the little people, the ferrishyn, the wee folk, and the good neighbors, faeries have enchanted humans for centuries. But faeries are much more than playful sprites who frolic in gardens and dance on flowers by the morning light. There are helper faeries, trickster faeries, and powerful faeries who enhance magick and play a mighty role in the spirit world.

In The Ancient Art of Faery Magick , best-selling author and magick authority D.J. Conway explores the history of the faery folk, discusses faery laws and lives, and reveals the ancient secret faery oracle. She shares spells for invoking faeries for aid in health, love, peace, prosperity, and protection, and she even describes how to build faery houses and gardens to invite these wonderful creatures into your home.

A comprehensive tome on a bewitching subject, The Ancient Art of Faery Magick  will initiate you into a life filled with faery sparkle and pixie dust.

The Ancient Art of Faery Magick by D.J. Conway discusses the different types of Fae, including guided meditations and rituals to bring more faery magick into your life. I tried a few of the meditations and rituals out myself. I found them inspiring. This book isn't a dry read and is quite interesting. It would be useful for writing research or for a witch who wants to get in touch with her/his inner Fae. And these rituals won't bust your wallet.

There is so much information in here, but it is all written in a lovely, accessible and encouraging way. I loved that it felt a bit like a travel guide to the land of the Fae, with insets and illustrations. The lovely stories at the end that she wrote to share with her children/young people during the Sabbats were both instructive and fun to read.

I would recommend this book to anyone researching Faery lore, Faery magick or just wanting to read more about the Fae in general.

I love the writing, it’s beautiful and easy to read and understand, everything is well explained. The chants and the ritual are wonderful. Valuable and important information if you are studying the faery folk.

Misinformation abounds, not worth the time to read it in full.

This was an interesting read. Folks who didn't care for the book... I have to ask why? Do you have some irrefutable faery info that we should read? It was a fun book. I didn't care for the stories at the end, though. Seemed like that belonged to another book.

Always fun to read books on fairies! This book was interesting to read but I will not be taking much from it in terms of the meditations or spells. I more read this book to gain insight on other people's perceptions of faeries and elves. Interesting to read her point of view on the subject. My favourite part of this book is chapter 17 which is dedicated to a collection of "Stories for Adults and Children" all concerning fairies and the 8 Sabbaths. Always makes me feel magical to read books on fairies!
