Sweet story. Definitely an easy reading level, short chapters, which I find are helpful with younger readers - you have more convenient stopping places or that it can break it up for them.
A story about time-travel, magic, and childhood. An introduction to King Arthur - I could see this sparking an interest in the original story. I also thoroughly enjoyed the ending of this book. The book ends with such a marvelous idea. Instead of the book telling you who "Her Majesty" is it gives you round about directions on how to figure it out on your own. First you are to figure out the reverse oft eh spell "rof bam!" You can have your child take pen to paper and figure this out, "For Mab!" Next you are to look up "mab" in the dictionary. Great supplement to learning how to research or introducing a dictionary for the first time. Further, they can learn even more by then picking up the story of King Arthur.
I think I'll encourage Ethan to read this again when he is older and reading on his own.
This is my second book for this series but i enjoyed the first one more than this. Fast paced But I didn't feel the characters and events were a bit fast and the last chapter was also rushed. Good adventure but in the end you feel that something is missing here. ********************************************* #VERDICT (5.5/10)
