If you're a fan of the Sailor Moon/Sailormoon series, then this is the book for you. It's rare and hard to find, but still fairly easy on places like eBay, and is definitely easier to find than the super-rare Materials collection.

The artwork is beautiful, with full-color (and full-page) illustrations. Ms. Takeuchi's manga had a pleasing art style, but the black and white linework pale before these lavish full-color images. Most if not all of the scans from the artbooks are available for free viewing online, but it's always nice to have a hard copy. This volume is the first book in the Artbook collection, and focuses on the first season/story arc of Sailormoon and artwork of characters within that arc.

Honestly, breathtaking. If you are a Sailor Moon fan or just someone who enjoys fantasy art, the pieces in this book are gorgeous. Sailor Moon is one of the greatest works in my lifetime and reading about how the art evolved & how the story came to life was incredibly special.
