When Lexi wakes up in a hospital room, she doesn't even know her own name. But she does know one thing, she'd like the hot guy hovering over her bed to stick around. As she fights to regain her memories, she's faced with a horrifying truth she doesn't want--she can shift into a huge lion. And if that's not enough of a shock, the sexy man who claims to be her mate can turn into a tiger.
Tristan is beside himself with worry over Lexi's amnesia. The woman he wants to marry doesn't recognize the love she has for him or the lion inside her. As he helps her heal physically and emotionally he battles with a secret he is afraid to reveal, because when the truth comes out he could lose her again. And this time it could be forever.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! When I can, I will collect this book!
This is the first book in a new series, and it is not a serial. This is a whole book and about 200 pages long. I like covers to reflect the characters, so I’m annoyed the lion in male because Lexi, who is the lion, is not male.
I really liked the characters in this book and town. Lexi and Tristan are great together, but there is drama and turmoil throughout the book as Lexi struggles with figuring out who she is and who everyone else is too. There is not much action, and I’m definitely an action girl. It is a feel-good romance.
I recommend to shifter fans who love worlds filled with all sorts of shifters and want a feel-good romance. I can’t wait to read Bruce’s story!
DNF @ 45% Originally, when I noticed that book 2 was a bunny and bear shifter match up; my gut told me this series wasn’t for me. But… I had just had a story pop up on my Instagram feed about an adorable rescued tiger & lion couple… and Ligers are super cute… so I thought maybe it was the universe sending me a sign… I should’ve listened to my gut.
The book starts out with Lexi waking in the hospital with amnesia, and a mate she can’t remember, and up until my throwing in the towel; that’s about all that happened. They’re holed up in a cabin… she’s frustrated she cant remember… that’s about it. I'm bored out of my mind.
For me, this was just a generic shifter romance. It was fine, however, it was just too much of a cookie-cutter romance for my liking. Also I found the scenes when they were both animals a little weird and they took me out of the main story too much.
I am just going to throw this out there... but, maybe do a bit of research before you write a book about something that you aren't really knowledgeable about... maybe?
I thought this was going to be something that would allow me to sit back and relax... I was wrong! *headdesk* :(
Nothing ruins a book for me faster than poor editing! grrr Just a few quick examples... didn't bother to try to make note of them all.
*Taught/taut... I sneak a peek at the taught belly he displays *Damn/dam... it’s like a damn has broken *The warmth of his love fills me before I shut the door, and I feel little regret, too, because he’s doing so much for me (a little regret) *After I pay, I hand her Lexi her drink. (Just pick one, already!) *Tristan sets the bag of groceries down (Where the heck did the groceries come from? They drove straight from the scene of the accident to her house... and the groceries are never addressed again. I guess she just left the non-existent groceries sitting on the counter... *snort* LOL!!!)
OK, now if these kinds of issues don't totally turn you off, let me tell you about what was right with this story!
"Hillary"!!! *grin* She is one fascinating character and if I was to read another book by this author, it would be Hillary's story! What can I say, bunny shifters written right just jump right off the page and are just so adorable! ;p

Oliver Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger Genre:#PRN #Tigers #Lioness #Wabbits #5Stars🌟⭐🌟🌟🌟 •••••••••••••• 💢WOW no serial here this is a forty chapters of a phenomenal book! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved it. Love is in the air!!
🔹️Lexi wakes up in the hospital only to see some man looking down at her. It’s really hard to believe him especially since she doesn’t know who he is let alone what her own name is.
🔹️Tristan is a Tiger shifter, thank goodness he found his Lexi, his mate but she doesn’t remember him and the hospital can’t find out who they are. The doctor is already questioning.
He'd been waiting for her to wake up for days. There was danger if she stayed here but he couldn't move her until she woke--if she woke. She had to. When Lexie did open her eyes she didn't recognize him. Nor their love. He had to convince her to let him take her.
Lexie didn't remember her name. Why she was in the hospital--that is where she was--or the man hovering over her--the hot man.
Finally, he convinced her when the doctor looked way too excited about her blood and the differences he found. What she didn't expect was to be whisked away to a secluded cabin. The man, Tristan he said, was hiding something.
Rediscovering their love wasn't going to be easy with the secrets he had to tell her. She didn't know about shifters or certainly that they were both big cat shifters. What if she changed without knowing how to control her beast?
Could this couple get back to their lives before her accident? A good read with plenty of twists and turns.
Lexi is a lion shifter who has been in a hospital after being in a car crash. Tristan a tiger shifter finds her and tells her he has to get her away from the hospital before they turn her into a lab rat when they discover what she is. Lexi has lost her memory including the facts that shifters are real and she, her mate Tristan and most of her friends are different types of shifters. She goes with Tristan after noticing he might be right about the doctor who is acting a little strange. At Tristan's cabin she begins to get some memories back and she feels he isn't being completely honest about what he knows about the accident so she has him take her to her home. With her friends and family around she starts getting more of her memories back till she finally figures out what she believe he wasn't telling her which brings her to a truth he doesn't even know. Her memories finally give her back future she always wanted. A HEA is found when they realize love is the most important thing.
When Lexi wakes up in the hospital and can't remember who she is or who the guy in her room is, she freaks out. But Tristan just wants to get her out of the hospital before the doctors find out their secrets. They're shifters. Lexi is a lion and Tristan is a tiger. But Lexi doesn't trust Tristan right away and the fact that Tristan doesn't tell her what they are right away doesn't help things. So when she starts to heal fast and her tests come back a little weird, the doctor is justifiably excited and Tristan has no choice but to tell Lexi some of why they need to leave right away.
Lexi has trouble believing anything Tristan says because shifters? Really? Who's going to believe that? So he has to show her to prove it to her and when she tries to shift into her lion, it's not as easy for her because she's forgotten how to do it.
I love a good amnesia story and having to get to know your husband/wife but throw in some type of paranormal element that you've forgotten and have to learn again, was just too much fun. I really liked this and had a good time with it.
Wow! This was an interesting shifter story! Lion ❤Tiger was a great read and I couldn't put it down
Possible SPOILERS

Tristan can't believe he has finally found Lexi after days of searching but she's in a hospital and can't remember him, herself or their life together. Tristan is keeping a couple of very big secrets from Lexi but when she is ready he will tell her. Lexi is "home" from the hospital but she isn't feeling quiet right...it's like there is someone else in her body with her....but that's crazy...right?! When Lexi finally learns things about herself she's not sure what to think or do but hopefully all will work out soon
Intriguing romance between a lion shifter and tiger shifter
Tristan is an introvert tiger shifter who loves a lion shifter named Lexi who was in a car accident losing her memory. Tristan tries to make Lexie remember who she is, what she likes, and what being a shifter is about. Will he be successful in showing Lexi how much he loves her and is his mate.
These characters are erotic, relatable, believable, and intriguing. The plot is about feeling guilty about an accident happening and resulting in amnesia. It shows the frustration of both parties have in making memories come alive again after an accident.
I've enjoyed the book, which is the first of the Heartland series, especially the scenario of the park scene. This scene is very unusual and is sure to stay in the reader's memory of a ideal fantasy.
Is just as the title suggests. A romance novel with shifters in it. Loved it. Even the drama bit type stuff that was in it. Hoping there's another one on the grumpy bear and ADHD rabbit. Those would be too cute. Tristan is a tiger shifter in a closed community in the mountains. He loves his family, but loves his peace and quiet time also, away from people. But when his girlfriend disappears one stormy night he is all frantic in finding her. Will he be able to forgive himself for what's happened to her. Waiting up in strange place (the hospital) with injuries healing up in light speed is pretty scary. A man by her side is frantic for her wellbeing, but wants to get her out of there asap. He's hot and he knows her...that should be enough for her to getting move. What possible danger could she be in?
DISCLOSURE - I voluntarily reviewed a prerelease copy via the author.
Tristan a tiger shifter and Lexi a lion shifter have been mates for quite some time. Unfortunately, Lexi has an accident that leaves her with amnesia. She has no recollection of who she is, that Tristan is her mate or that she can shift into a lioness. Tristan tries his best to help her regain her memory; he also hides an important secret from her. These two have quite a few obstacles to conquer before attaining their happy ever after.
An entertaining read with credible characters, picturesque scene descriptions, fun times, and steamy romance. Lexi and Tristan's chemistry rings true; loved them together.
Lexi wakes up in the hospital with amnesia. She freaked out but a hot guy is there but should she trust him. Since he what's to sneak her out of the hospital telling her she is in danger? Poor Tristan has been tooking for his mate for almost a week he finds her in a human Hospital and if he doesn't get her out the government will get her. No one knows about shifters. He is shocked that not only does she not remember him, thier bond, but also that she is a shifter and shifters are real! One thing at a Time! Safety first but will she ever remember him, her cat, or anything else? Great characters, drama and so much more. It's a fun read that I couldn't put down. I can't wait for the next book. Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
A woman with amnesia that doesn't know she is a shifter. Her very sexy boyfriend that she doesn't remember. Can they still be together? He is certainly going to try but they will have things to work out if she remembers. There were some errors.that should have been caught in the editing that were a bit distracting but I did really like the book and the town. I enjoyed the book and would recommend everyone to read it. I wish I could give it 3.5. The rating would be higher but at the end I felt the female character gave up a bit much and I don't think a shifter would ever think to attack their mate. If it was not for those two things and the editing issues the rating would be higher.ni think the writing itself was great and really pulled me in.
I want to live in Heartland. I love the thought of people being accepted for who they are and getting along peacefully. Grant it people will have issues a time or 2 but how wonderful to see the different animals getting along. I read book 2 before this book so the part about Bruce and Hillary doesn't leave me upset. If I hadn't read book 2 first I would have been upset to not understand the issue they each had because it made zero sense and frankly I hate not knowing and being left wondering what the deal was. At least Tristan got his mate and his mate got her memories back.
I enjoyed this sweet story. Why sweet to describe it? Well, Lexi wakes up with amnesia and Tristan needs to get her to remember them together. They are mates but only one remembers, only one remembers they are shifters, only one remembers their life together. So their journey back to where they were is sweet, but not easy. There are some scorching hot moments where you may need a fan. There is not a cliffhanger but get ready for an emotional ride.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Lexi is a lion shifter a nd Tristan is a tiger shifter. She has an accident on a mountain road in a heavy storm and it takes almost two weeks for him to find her in a human hospital. She has amnesia and does not know she is a shifter. He takes her to his cabin on the mountain a after managing to sneak her out of the hospital. She has to try to regain her memories. The characters are well-written and Heartland is a wonderful town it would be a pleasure to live in--it is, however, a shifter town. Another hit by V. Vaughn.
A cute plot, the characters are adorable, lots of exciting twists and turns with unexpected surprises. Their emotions are so real, you get so caught up in their pain, anguish, and fear that it feels like you are right there with them. As they struggle to overcome the drama of her not remembering anything, especially him or their love. They must conquer their doubts and the feelings of betrayal as they fall in love again. Too late he realized what he took for granted, will she forgive him for being selfish?
I don’t know much about amnesia so I was quite intrigued with storyline. The characters sprang alive quickly and before I knew it, my empathy for their life challenges kicked in. The besotted tiger full of teenaged angst was quite endearing. I could also feel the small town charm and serenity that is Heartland . I am so looking forward to hopefully Bruce and /or Hillary’s story. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
This story is on the sweeter side. You have a mated couple that has to relearn their relationship after one of them is in an accident and loses their memories.
I enjoyed the story. Tristan tries so hard to make her feel safe and loved. He really treasures his mate. Lexi and him are very different in personality but bring out the best in each other.
Beyond cute and romantic story. What would you do if the one person you love doesn’t remember you? Well that has happened to Lexi and Tristan. Tristan is an amazing male. He does everything he can to keep this female safe and for her to feel safe. The fact that they are both shifters is both helpful and causes problems. I love the patience he has and the love he shows her. The book is very romantic as he helps to win her all over again.
Tristan and Lexi are perfect together. But when Lexi is injured in a car accident and can't remember anything it's up to Tristan to insure she remembers their love. This is a delightful romance with the added twist of our hero and heroine being shifters. It also follows both characters as they mature and realize what they need to do to become True Life Mates.. Truly lovely couple and story. Looking forward to Book 2.
I liked this book. Story line was good. It did get a bit slow at times. This is about Lexi, who happens to be a lioness, who was in a car accident and wakes up in the hospital with no memory of who she is or what happened to her. Her mate, Tristan, is with her but she doesn't remember him either. He has to get her out of the hospital and home before she changes in front of humans, which is a big no no. They have to find out who did this to her. Recommend.
Full of romance and suspense, this is a great read! Lexi wakes up with no memory of who she is or who the sexy stranger is who calls himself her mate. Is Tristan really who he claims to be, and what exactly should she believe about lions, tigers, and love? Tristan is hiding a secret, will their love be torn apart once revealed?
What does a tiger shifter do when his mate has amnesia? He makes her fall in love with him all over again. Lexi has amnesia and Tristan sat waiting for days beside her hospital bed for her to wake up. The storyline was great as we get to watch everything slowly come to light as Lexi remembers her life. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
Lexi wakes up in a hospital room with amnesia and Tristan is sitting by her bed. Yet she has no memory of him at all. He tells her they need to leave and he's her mate but should she trust him? Will they be able to find the spark that has carried them this far or will it lose it's flame never to lit again?
There were a fair amount of grammar and word errors that made it hard for me to read. The world building was minimal. The characters were ok but just couldn’t keep me as interested as I would have liked, I literally started skimming just so I could finish. The story premise sounded really interesting but it just didn’t deliver for me.
*sigh* My weird pet peeve with feline shifter books is when they feature big cats (tigers, lions, leopards, & etc) that purr. If a cat can roar it can’t purr! :-/ This book has the annoyance of purring big cats AND has a male lion on the cover when it’s the female MC that is the lion in the story.
